Britney didn’t visit her mom in the hospital with pneumonia

The latest “Britney is a self absorbed twit” news comes from The National Enquirer via MSNBC’s The Scoop. Britney Spears is said to have spurned her pneumonia-striken mother, who was laid up in the hospital on mother’s day. Heartless Britney said she was busy going to dance lessons and notifying the paparazzi where she’ll be, and that she couldn’t visit her sick mom because she “had her own kids now.” They don’t even live with her, what is she talking about?

“Britney has cut off all communication with her mom,” a “friend” of the 25-year-old singer told the National Enquirer. “She’s gone from calling Lynne ten times a day to flat-out refusing to speak to her.”

Lynne, 52, was hospitalized in southern California recently when a bout of the flu turned into pneumonia. Spears reportedly is furious with her mother for urging the “Oops I Did It Again” singer to enter rehab, and didn’t call her earlier this month for her birthday, either. The Star is reporting a similar story.

“Britney says her mom betrayed her and she refuses to get over it,” the source told the Enquirer. “When she was told to give her mom a call, Britney said: ‘I’m busy, I have my own kids now.’ ”

That’s cold. Why does it not surprise me that Britney’s prorities are dance classes and changing into one fugly outfit/wig/hat combo after another? She was seen out in three different outfits yesterday, two of which are shown here. She’s also hanging with yet another cousin, a woman named Jessica. She’ll keep her relatives around as long as they do her bidding and don’t question her lifestyle.

Yesterday there was a story that Britney stripped down to her panties at Teddy’s over the weekend and was jumping on the couches. Mike Walker’s column in The Enquirer this week also says that she’s planning to get a breast lift. She sure knows how to keep her name in the papers. Well-adjusted celebrities just aren’t as interesting.
