I only watched a few seconds of that Jaden Smith video. The second hand embarrassment is real.
    Happy Birthday Matt Damon!

    • mia girl says:

Watch the “Stay With Me” parody instead.
Funny and it’s written and performed by Daniel Franzese from Mean Girls.
      “You go Glen Coco!”

  2. InvaderTak says:

    Funny visual there lol

What do you give a guy like Matt Damon for his birthday? He likely already has a shit ton of crap and he is rich enough to get anything a person can give him. Unless you have something unique like a work of art I would just get him something small like an expensive bottle of liquor or wine and maybe make a donation in his name to his favorite charity.

Also I wonder if Matt ever wants to direct like Ben Affleck? Matt is a better actor so he may decide to stay the course but since Ben has gotten so much praise for directing I wonder if Damon is feeling a little competitive?

    • Pat says:

It was his intention to direct Promise land, but because of Matt’s schedule problems with other projects it ended being directed by Gus Van Sant. He wrote the script (alongside John Krasinsky) so I think that sooner or later he will direct, most likely some script that he wrote himself.

    • Belle Epoch says:

Love Matt Damon!!!! So happy he is not one of those vile celebrities who give each other Bentleys and ridiculous watches and gold-dipped bottles of booze. He’s keepin’ it real!

    • Marianne says:

I’ve always had the same thought. What do celebrities get other celebrities? Cause they already have a lot of money/stuff?

  4. Virgilia Coriolanus says:

It always amazes me whenever I see dudes who just want to date vapid women–girls. Especially when they’re older. Maybe because I haven’t really seen it in real life? My dad was 21 when he married my mom, and she was not model-skinny. I have an uncle whose rule is that he doesn’t date women who are more than five years younger than him. I guess I’m just used to guys not really being all that shallow around me????

    • BettieBoob says:

Why are you insinuating his wife is vapid? I’ve heard she is a really nice woman, very into her family , children etc… Why insult her??

    • lunchcoma says:

Is this about Matt Damon’s wife? She’s only 6 years younger than he is, she was a single mother in her late 20s who was working as a bartender when he met her, and she doesn’t seem to have any interest in being famous. I have no idea whether she’s vapid or not, but that’s not really the stereotypical teenage model that actors who just want an accessory go for.

  5. StormsMama says:

Matt Damon is getting hotter with age. DAMN he looks GOOD recently.

  6. greenmonster says:

Searching for words to describe the Jaden Smith video. I’ll make it short: hahahahahahahahahaha…

  7. ashley says:

Good for matt, just a nice guy. Jaden video is hilarious, but i like the lyrics.

  8. INeedANap says:

I’m disappointed, Matt. That pinata should be a shredded papier-mache hot mess by now. Why is it intact? Did someone forget the stick? For shame.

  9. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Piñatas make me nervous. I hate games where you have to be grabby, like musical chairs. Childhood was sort of one long nightmare for me in some ways. Lol

    • NorthernGirl_20 says:

That’s funny – I feel/felt the same way. I always used to get so anxious with games like that. I hated playing musical chairs, and hot potato ..

    • mia girl says:

I felt the same growing up, and now I suffer when my kids play these games (last month at a poolside game of musical chairs I was a basket case watching my son and daughter go round and round).

And there is always that ONE kid who is pushy as they fight for a chair, or one that grabs two handfuls of candy under the broken piñata I hate that kid!

Back to Damon, I wonder what his piñata is stuffed with?

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I’m sorry I didn’t have kids, except for this aspect. I think watching my kids do things that tortured or scared me would give me a coronary. You are very brave!
P.s. I hate that kid, too. Mine was the hand they always stepped on.

    • original kay says:

      Dodgeball was a personal nightmare.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

What sicko invented that? Let’s make someone stand in the middle of a ring of screaming hellions and jump around while everybody tries to hit them with a big, hard ball. That’ll end well.

      • Birdix says:

as the puniest kid, I always hated red rover. I was always sent over, and never made it through.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I got my period for the first time every playing dodge ball! I froze like “what do I do?” just as I was getting nailed with a ball. The kid was like “TIFF! Your out, I hit you!!!!” I had to slink off the wall of shame where the out kids were standing, and quietly slip into the locker room.

        Dodge ball is evil!

  10. LAK says:

Now that’s a birthday present. None of this serious present malarkey!!

  11. Assila says:

Hi, can i ask for some coverage of Keanu Reeves last movies (John Wick seems good).. i’m such a fan and i know that he has legion of fans here but for some reason, his work is not highlighted enough.

and that video is so very try hard

  14. Someonestolemyname says:

I love Matt in The Talented Mr. Ripley. He played the role to perfection.

P.S. Daily Mail has pictures of Clooney in NYC , they say he’s in NY alone.

  15. Dorky says:

Never found Damon attractive. And now he resembles Philip Seymour Hoffman (RIP). Damon always seems like a condescending, sanctimonious twit. Bleah. Plus rumors of him having a girl in every city… which I would not be surprised by. Any man who is best friends with Ben Affleck, I can’t get into.

    • don't kill me i'm french says:

      ???
And stop to believe what all CDAN writes

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Dorky, who wrote: “Never found Damon attractive. And now he resembles Philip Seymour Hoffman (RIP). Damon always seems like a condescending, sanctimonious twit. Bleah. Plus rumors of him having a girl in every city… which I would not be surprised by.”

What rumors? I have never, ever, read any where rumors of Matt Damon having “a girl in every city.” Can you provide a link?

      • Anne tommy says:

I have no great investment in matt but he always seems like a genuine pleasant guy for a big star and decent actor, no one has a bad word to say about the guy, so will await proof before I believe dorky

  16. Emma - the JP Lover says:

    Happy Birthday, Matty D! 🙂
