Zoe Saldana attended Friday night’s ALMA awards, which highlight American Latino contributions to the entertainment world. She dressed up her bump in a red silk tea-length dress. Zoe looked gorgeous. I wonder when her due date is? Probably in a few months. Her bump is sizable, but she’s expecting twins. This dress looks comfy and functional but still glam enough for an awards show. The slight mullet in the back doesn’t even ruin the look.
Eva Longoria hosted the event. She looks beautiful, but this white, strapless number is a little too Vegas-bridal. All the dress is missing is big hair and a mini-veil.
Aubrey Plaza looked absolutely adorable in this multicolored print dress that looks impossibly hard to pull off. Her figure is so cute, and the styling is perfect.
Alexa Vega & Robert Rodriguez showed up together. He directed her in the Spy Kids movies. I am not crazy about her purple dress because the bodice isn’t tailored well. Does Robert ever go anywhere without a hat?
Dascha Polanco accepted the Special Achievement in TV award on behalf of the OITNB cast. She was a hot mess in white satin, and her lavender hair has faded to grey. She’ll have to wear a wig for OITNB filming.
Speaking of hot messes …. here’s Charo! Michael K at DListed will be so happy to see this lady. She won the Lifetime Achievement award and probably pulled this dress right out of her closet.
Daisy Fuentes won the Vanguard award. I would have liked her dress more if it was a solid color instead of a gingham pattern.

I will say I have seen her so much more now that she is pregnant. Not sure if she is promoting something.. but she is showing up to every event.
She is the main female voice in that new animated movie Book of Life. I think that’s the name & I think that’s coming out soon. Just woke up 🙂

Agreed. I also hate that anytime a women dares to be seen in public she is always reported as “showing off” something, be it her “bump,” or anything else. Like an actress will be wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt while grocery shopping at Whole Foods or whatever, and the headlines will be “X shows off her bump at Whole Foods.” So annoying.

Agree that stiffening is off with the top of her dress. Maybe shouldnot be so wide at the shoulders? Not sure that is the way to say it. I love Charo, only for the fact that she loves life and is not afraid to show it.

Haha. I was watching a clip of Melissa Harris-Perry’s show and they indirectly suggested that Zoe is an idiot. They showed a clip where Zoe said there’s no such thing as people of color because white people are pink people. Aside from the fact that all except for the last 3 minutes of that tape was about Raven Symone, I’m Black and I’ve heard that same ‘pink, not white’ argument all my life. It’s just an observation, not a mental defect. Check it out for yourself while sitting quietly at lunch or on the subway. It’s the red blood under pale skin that pulls the ‘pink rather than white’ opinion of some people of color.

I actually love Daisey’s dress. I think it would look better on someone smaller on the top. I like the way the dress hangs on the bottom.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Charo. She always made me laugh. Then she moved to Hawaii where she stayed for many years. I caught her show there and her classical guitar playing blew me away.
I remember seeing her play in TV when I was young and being blown away by her playing.

It may be boring but it’s a big improvement over the clown outfits she usually wears on the red carpet.
Alexa Vega has grown up! I always wonder how super cute faces will age but she looks great. I agree about her bodice needing to be more tailored, although that’s a terrific color.
Eva looks overdone, and we’ve seen that dress so many times over the last year/two years.
Zoe is showing up to more events now than before her furious tweet about press invasion – WTH?? She looks good, and I suspect on a less pregnant frame the hemline would be even. Blame the mullet on the bump!
Zoe looks great. I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy the other day, and it made me think once again that I don’t understand the hate-ons people have for her.

She tries too hard to be deep and instead comes off as really silly instead , I guess a major turn off was her Ebony Mag interview suggesting that the reason Black actresses aren’t working is because they are lazy (needed to get up off their a$$es ) and when she goes to an audition she kills it (you know cuz shes like Meryl Streep/Bette Davis ) plus racism in Hollywood doesn’t exist as Obama is now the president WTF???
