Kim Kardashian spoils North West with all-organic diet, diamonds & strollers

Here are some new photos of Kim Kardashian out and about in Studio City, CA yesterday. Whenever I don’t see Kim for a week or so, I always assumed she’s getting something “done.” But I have to say… I think she looks good here. I’m really loving her new, tousled and slightly shorter hairstyle. I like the clean white outfit on her too. Yesterday, Kim was complaining about her sweet tooth on Twitter, writing: “Whats the name of that documentary about sugar? I have such a sweet tooth but I know I have to watch this and make some changes.” So I guess she’s still struggling with her diet/exercise routine.

Meanwhile, Kim and North West cover the new issue of Us Weekly this week. It’s all about how Kim and Kanye spoil North and how North has: “Over 200 pieces of unworn designer clothing, a $3,950 crib, at least five strollers worth nearly $1000 each, an all-organic diet and private chef, pricey bling, including half-carat studs worth more than $50k, her own walk-in closet and VIP music lessons.” Some highlights:

They represent materialism to the extreme. So fittingly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West spare no expense when it comes to their daughter North. The 16-month-old lives a life of luxury most people – children and adults alike – could only dream of, and new details have emerged of just how extravagant her lifestyle really is. According to US Weekly, the tot has over 200 pieces of designer clothing that she’s never worn. Items in her closet include a $375 silk Oscar de la Renta dress, a $200 leopard viscose frock from Roberto Cavalli, an Alexander Wang leather dress, and Giuseppe Zanotti custom-made shoes.

‘Kim and Kanye are grateful when designers send them some pieces,’ a source told the magazine. ‘North loves clothes and getting ready to go out. It’s a lot of fun.’

In addition, North is also the owner of some pricey bling, most notably half-carat Lorraine Schwartz studs worth ‘well over $50,000,’ said the insider.

The couple also ensure North’s surroundings are similarly lavish. Although North has lived mostly at the Hidden Hills, California house of her grandmother Kris Jenner (known as ‘Lovey’ to the little girl), the couple just purchased a $20 million mansion down the road, replete with a walk-in closet just for North. Her current playroom, meanwhile, contains ‘tons of dolls,’ said the source. ‘She loves to push them in strollers.’

North has already clocked up more air miles than most children, and her parents make sure to maintain her luxurious lifestyle wherever they are. According to the publication, Kim keeps ‘at least’ five strollers – the $940 Orbit Baby G2 Travel System – in key locales around the globe.

‘She has one in Paris and New York, and she keeps one at her sisters’ houses,’ said the source.

To take things a step further, Kim and Kanye make sure North’s all-white nursery, including her $3,950 crib, ‘is replicated wherever they stay..All of North’s stuff is always waiting at the location they’re traveling to,’ said the source.

During the family’s recent trip to Paris Fashion Week, North and her nanny allegedly had their own penthouse suite at the Le Royal Monceau hotel. North also had her own chef during the stay. ‘They use a local caterer to bring in food for North while she is in Paris. Kim likes Nori’s food to be all organic.’

But North may soon have to share the spotlight with a sibling, if Kim has her way.

‘Kim wants to be pregnant now,’ said a source. And apparently Kanye is hoping for a boy the second time around. Said the insider: ‘He wants an heir to his throne.’

[From The Daily Mail]

To his credit, I don’t think Kanye really cares if he gets a son. Kanye seems delighted and completely in love with his daughter, and I doubt he would be disappointed if they had a second girl. As for the rest of it… stupid excess. I believe most of it too. I think it’s understandable for parents of means to spoil their baby (especially their first, when everything is brand new), but some of this stuff just seems so stupid and wasteful. Like, I’m really offended that Kim is leaving strollers all around the world.

you can’t “spoil” a 1 year old. she has no idea. to her, it’s just the clothes she wears and the food she eats. it’s kanye and kim who are spoiled and indulging their appetites for expensive stuff.

    • Audrey says:

      Yeah

Plus she’s a well off first time mom. Most first time moms tend to go overboard.

My daughter is 18 months old and I’ve bought some silly things because I’m inexperienced and excited.

Every dollar spent supports companies which leads to higher demand, more jobs etc.

Yes some stuff rich people do is excessive like over the top weddings. But that goes back into the economy so whatever. Beats just hoarding wealth

      • Krista says:

        I’m with you Audrey.
And I’m not defending Kim here, but I’m willing to bet most of those items are gifts. Baby companies are DYING to have their products be photographed with celebrity moms.

      • Molly says:

Don’t worry, Audrey. They still do plenty of selfish hoarding of their wealth.

    • Josephine says:

Not to mention that the only thing kids of all ages want is attention, some play time, and total acceptance. Somehow I doubt she will get any of those things from these people.

    • Vika says:

I can’t believe people STILL think everything printed about their wealth and spending habits is true. When all those celebrities credit information was hacked a few months ago, Kim was on the list. She had a 5.9 million dollar mortgage, a $102k lease loan..and only $10k in the bank. I’ve been saying for YEARS, it’s all smoke and mirrors with these people. North may get a ton of free things, but they really don’t have the money to splurge like they want people to think. Her credit limit was only $25k! I worked and a bank and have seen people with regular jobs even higher than that!

  2. Tiffany27 says:

Why does Nori need a chef? Serious question. Isn’t she only eating steamed vegetables or some sh*t?

*Disclaimer: I don’t have a child, Idk what they eat*

  3. tifzlan says:

My sisters and i never had a stroller. My dad only started taking us out and about when we started walking so we walked all over the place. Strollers can be very useful but five strollers seems to be too, tooooo much. This family can surely afford to bring their one stroller with them wherever in the world they go, seeing as how they have their own private jet. But they’ve always lived excessively so i don’t know why i’m still so surprised and disgusted after reading this.

    • Audrey says:

Honestly, if my husband wouldn’t kill me i would have at least three strollers.

A light umbrella type(probably a britax b-agile or quinny moodd), an every day (my quinny buzz, which is currently my only), and a winter (BOB)

      But I’m stuck with one

      • Dal says:

I’m with you Audrey, only I wish I had the uppababy gluxe as my lightweight and a chariot for my winter one haha, but alas, I only have one!

      • Moneypenny says:

Big strollers are a PITA to travel with, so I’m not surprised they do this. I’ve thought about having a stroller that just stays at my parents’ house so we don’t have to fly with one.

You are both right, having more than one stroller is awesome. Our every day is an UppaBaby Vista, which is great, but we use a Maclaren Quest for travel and times when we’re in and out of the car a lot.

I can fault Kim for a lot, but 5 strollers isn’t one of them 🙂

      • magpie says:

I have a cheap stroller at my in laws that we see a lot and just use a baby carrier when we travel. Strollers are a PITA to travel with. 5 strollers doesn’t shock me as much as the private music lessons and replicated white room.

      • Lemonsorbet says:

Maybe it’s that we use public transport only, but we’ve noticed so many parents struggling with prams/strollers everywhere. We initially used the moodd a lot, but once my c-section scar stopped hurting, we resorted to carriers – ring slings and hip carriers. I just can’t fathom why anyone wouldn’t want to carry their baby (of course excluding parents of multiple births here), while they’re still very portable. At 2 years old, our son walks everywhere. If he gets tired, he has a nap in the carrier.

  4. Jaderu says:

*sprays Airwick cherry blossom deodorizer all over Kanye’s throne*

    Done.
    I’ll send my bill forthwith.

  5. Loopy says:

They are so materialistic its disgusting, and I don’t know why I am more offended by their materialism then say the Prince of Brunei.

  6. Hopeless says:

Dear Kim: Stick with this skirt length! It’s super flattering. As for the rest, meh. It’s Kim and Kanye. I would be as surprised to learn of Nori’s designer duds and bling as I would if I learned that Prince George has twelve personal staffers (I’m sure it’s well above that with security) and baby cashmere sweater vests that’ll he’ll only wear twice.

  7. HH says:

I just hope North gets that confused look off of her face eventually. I know it reminds people of Kanye, but in her teens it will remind me of that stupid look Jaden Smith does. Ugh!!

    • Anna says:

She has that “confused” look because of tje flashes from the dozens of paparazzi.. That’s why she started wearing sunglasses. You can see video of her around her parents with paparazzi quite far away and she seems to be smiling constantly

      • swack says:

Then maybe her mother should stop calling the paparazzi and letting them know where they will be all the time. Problem solved.

      • HH says:

That’s what I originally thought but then why the hell wouldn’t they give her sunglasses in the first place? Or cover her? Beyoncé and Jay still do this with Blue. It makes all the sense in the world to me.

  8. Honey says:

I foresee bankruptcy in about 20 years!

    • Jules says:

Way sooner than that……….why do you think Mr Kardashian is always touring?

    • Hautie says:

Honestly, I thought Kayne was already dancing on that bankruptcy line. If it was his money, that paid for all the non-sense from the last three years. He would have to be hurting for cash.

That multimillion dollar house, that was bought in “move in ready” condition. But then he tore it out to the studs to “customize” to his taste. Made no dang sense. If you wanted a custom house. Then buy the lot and build it. I bet he lost 20 million on that whole deal by now.

I am wondering how long it will take him to convince Kim, to let him take over her business and bank accounts. Simply cause I can not image him being thrilled, with her Mother having control of it all.

      • Bess says:

Kris versus Kanye for control of the money. That’s a fight I’d pay to watch. I’d put my money on Kris.

    • joy says:

Their spending really does make me wonder about that. I know they have tons of $ but at some point you need to be tucking a lot away for the day when nobody wants to see your face again.

  9. Leftovers says:

Feeding a child organic food isn’t spoiling the child, it’s taking care of their health. A lot of my friends who are parents on average salaries do that, you don’t have to be rich.

All other materialistic excesses just show their vapid personalities, but hey, at least there is a chance that child is getting good quality nutrition.

    • Konspiracytheory says:

ITA – I don’t see the organic diet as ‘spoiling’ her. As for the strollers, if I had that much money and travelled constantly, I would leave strollers at key locations as well.

And now I’ve defended KK – what a way to start the day.

    • Pandy says:

Yeah, not wanting to defend but I won’t call organic food spoiling a child. Or anyone! 50K studs? Yeah, that’s kind of disgusting. As is an all white nursery (way to stimulate) and all black clothes.

      • Ennie says:

They are probably making sure the baby grows up as intelligent and well grounded as her Jenner aunts, with the stimuli and pampering they provide.

  10. Hissyfit says:

It’s their money, they can buy everything they desire!

She looks great in the first photo.

  11. Bess says:

Mr & Ms. Kardashian can give that kid every material thing out there, but do either of them actually spend time with Ignori? I doubt it..

  12. Nikki says:

How much of this crap are they really buying though? She may have 5 strollers, but kim kardashian pushing a stroller is great advertising, so how many of them did she really buy? Not giving their excessive lifestyle a pass by any means, just wondering.

    • ketjo says:

If they have 5 strollers why are they always pushing the same one around in all the photos…..but on the other hand they did finally get a bigger one when the baby got just plain out to big for the towel baby stroller……LOL…..Don’t they realize people check out those things….

  13. mkyarwood says:

I ‘spoil’ my family with an all organic diet, some of which I grow myself/have a business relationship with the farmers. To offset the cost, we got rid of things like cable, drive used Subaru cars and do things like rent movies way after they’re out, buy most of our clothes thrifted and *gasp* operate a cell phone without a data plan. We eat like kings (or Kardashians) and have $$ for family vacations just cutting out the crap. Reading this, well. It’s not hard to predict how kids like North and Blue Ivy will turn out.

  14. Flora Kitty says:

    Kris Jenner is lovely, barf.

  15. Lulu says:

I find it really strange that diamonds and organic diet is framed equally as symptoms of Kimye spoiling North W. I’m an average middle class (European) mom. In my country I think it’s quite normal to want to give your child organic only.
Diamonds is maybe taking it too far…

    • Tiffany27 says:

Lulu where in Europe do you live? Is organic food expensive there? Here in the U.S. I feel like organic food is so expensive. I buy organic leafy greens and berries and apples, but if I don’t have to, I don’t.

      • Zip says:

I don’t know about Lulu but I live in Germany and here it’s common that baby food is organic. I can only compare to Canada but I’d say that in general food prices are quite low here, even the organic stuff (except for organic meat).

    • ketjo says:

Girls that baby is 16 mos old and should be eating regular food by now…..and its not hard to find “organic food” …by fresh foods or go to farmers market…..even in big cities…..the use of the word Organic is so over used to sale food now a days….I saw organic eggs the other day for sale at 3 times the price of regular eggs….and I ask why are they organic and the clerk said because they are not from chickens in a chicken house but range grow chicken on the ground….Then I laughed as ask him have you ever seen what a chicken on the ground eats during a average day? he said No….and I said anything thing they can get in their mouths…and they don’t check to see if it has chemicals in it first…..besides the chickens body processes the food and whatever is in it and it never makes it to the eggs….Why are range egg yolks darker then chicken house eggs……grass and dirt…..period… …from a farm wife of 50 yrs…

  16. decorative item says:

So sick of hearing about them.

  17. EEV says:

Out of all this, what bothered me the most was, “…apparently Kanye is hoping for a boy the second time around. Said the insider: ‘He wants an heir to his throne.’” I agree with you, Kaiser, that Kanye probably doesn’t care if they have another girl. I don’t even care if he wants a boy – but I hate the implication that only a boy could be an heir to Kanye’s throne. Let’s hope it’s just the “source’s” opinion.

Maybe I’m still coming down from a snap comment I made to my husband’s cousin yesterday after he said to his two young boys (who were making bracelets), “Why are you even making those? Boys don’t wear bracelets!” Without thinking, I said, “Of course boys can wear bracelets; anyone can wear bracelets!” – which I personally believe is true, but still poor practice to stomp all over someone else’s parenting. :-\

    • swack says:

Many boys wear bracelets, so good for you for standing up for those boys. There are bracelets out there for everyone. So no big deal. As far as Kim and Kanye, feeding North organic is not spoiling her. Wish I could afford organic but I babysit up to 10 grandchildren at any one time and can’t afford it. My question is, if she has strollers all over the world, they why do we see constantly with the same stroller wherever she goes? Does she just buy the same one for each place? Me, I love my jogging stroller that I use for the grandkiddos – have a single one and a double one. They go over any type of surface with no problem.

    • anon33 says:

      EXACTLY.

I am a woman, and followed in my father’s footsteps in his industry/agency (govt work.) IT CAN HAPPEN.

  18. FingerBinger says:

Kris Jenner is called “Lovey”? Kris Jenner you are no Mrs. Howell.

  19. Abigail says:

I wouldn’t necessarily call all of these unnecessary extravagances. Eating all organic food is something many families, including my own, do, although of course I understand that there are unfortunately many, many people in this country who don’t have access to nutritional food, let alone organic produce. And multiple strollers and cribs in multiple homes seems to be a matter of convenience — dragging strollers and pack’n’plays on airplanes is a total pain. (Although I can’t imagine why a kid needs a $4000 crib.)
But some of these things are absurd. A room full of dolls? Leather dresses? They do realize these things don’t make kids happy. Generally, they’re super thrilled with one favorite toy. Do they not care about how they are raising their daughter at all?

  20. ketjo says:

I’m sorry but this sounds so like the nasty rich kid in the lunchroom telling all the other kids “Well my dad drives a fancier car then your dad does, and my mom always shops at the best stores for my clothes cause she wants me to have the best brands…and I have a cook deliver my meals to school every day so I have nutritious food not that crap youre eating….” and the others kids want to beat him to a pulp because of his bragging….in the mean time Ignori is crawling around on the floor in the nursery eating cheerios off the floor where she throw the bowl down….and nanny is letting her …just like a real mother would….

  21. ketjo says:

Oh I forgot to add…..I see absolutely nothing different about her except that the skirt which is exactly cut and styled like the black one she wears all the time and the top which is exactly the same as the black ones she wears all the time…nothing different or fashion forward or anything praiseworthy about it….and if anything she looks to have put on a few pounds….and her hair is just the same…full of extensions…..Now if she was actually wearing something with real color and not glued to her body that would be news

  22. Syko says:

This dress is reasonably attractive, if only it fit her. About three sizes larger would work.

I don’t see anything wrong with the all-organic diet, but I can see quite a bit wrong in how they dress the baby…and that “all white nursery”? Babies like to be comfortable, in soft cotton clothes, not in stiff non-breathing leather. And their brains are stimulated by looking at bright colors and shapes, not looking around at everything white.

  23. JudyK says:

If there’s one thing a one-year-old (slightly plus) child appreciates, it’s diamonds. I don’t care how much dang money they have, I can’t deal with this self excess.

Out-of-it Kim looks good here, though.

  24. Dawn says:

I hope these two just keep on spending! What your worth is on paper is actually very different than what you have in the bank. Reading this makes me feel even worse for this kid as she is so disconnected from her parents as they are to her. You can see it in every picture they take. Kim may insist that she eat only organic food but the question is how many times a week do either Kanye or Kim eat with her? How many days a week do either one of them give her a bath or put her to bed? How many times a week do they just play with her and not for press? North looks like she is an unhappy child even if she does have clothes and bling she sure doesn’t act like she is loved and comfortable with her own parents.

  25. CatJ says:

What’s with the white powder all over her feet? Is it that special HD stuff for photos, or regular Dr. Scholls so she doesn’t get blisters…?

  26. Mischa says:

This outfit would kind of work if the skirt wasn’t too small. Kim, if the skirt folds up around your waist, it is too small!

  27. captain hero says:

They can waste their money on whatever extravagant crap they want, they’ll still be empty inside.

  28. booboobird says:

I agree. I get upset when i hear a dad of 2yo boy telling him to go and play with boys and put down the broom stick even though the boy insists he wants to sweep (seen/heard at parent&tot class). Wtf, man?!
My boys can do whatever and whenever they want (within reason and boundaries). I’m happy to see my 8yo being just as comfortable with boys as with girls. Making rainbow loom bracelets or skipping rope or playing clapping games.
As for 5strollers and all organic.. we eat 90% organic in a family of 5 with 1 income and 1 car. We have 2 strollers of which one is a all terrain vehicle of sorts with big inflatable wheels and suspensions. Has served me thru all 3 babies.
But i draw a line at $50 000 bling. No need for this at North West’s age even if they can afford it.
    ETA, wrong place.. @EEV

    • Mojoman says:

So true. My adult nephew questioned me when I bought a kitchen set for my boys (ages 5 & 8 who love to role play as cooks). He said those things usually are for girls! I told him, first of all it’s for everyone, secondly havent you seen men work in the kitchen before? They are called CHEFS and they are no less manly. After that he shut up LOL. I just hate when people conform stuff based on gender. I dont hear any comment when a girl is interested in playing with a black & Decker plastic tool set. Should we question her too?

  29. Spaniard says:

‘Kim Kardashian spoils North West with all-organic diet, diamonds & strollers’
She should try spoiling her daughter with some quality time together (front rows and pap strolls don’t count) I’m sure that poor little girl would be happier with that

  30. The Original G says:

And yet, I’ve yet to see that child with a toy in her hand?

    • swack says:

So true. My granddaughter brings a minimum of 3 stuffed animals to my house everyday even though I have some here. She has favorites and can’t take naps or go to bed without them. Most children have a favorite toy or two that they can’t do without.

  31. ClownsToTheLeftOfMe says:

KK always looks so miserable and grumpy in her clothes — probably because they are so godawfully tight. It makes me miserable and grumpy looking at her squeezed into everything like a Vienna sausage. Bleh.

  32. giggles says:

Maybe they should try spoiling the child with child appropriate attention. Not PFW and pap strolls for magazine pics.

  33. pnichols says:

She looks pretty. Love her hair that length.

  34. Karen says:

I love this quote:  ‘North loves clothes and getting ready to go out. It’s a lot of fun.’

    She’s a toddler not a 22 year old!

    • jwoolman says:

Well, the source is Kim. We can’t believe anything she says, because she lies about everything. And she lies about Nori stuff that makes people really familiar with kids her ages know that she’s lying. She really has no sense of truth.

Nori shows absolutely no signs of being into fashion or even loving to go out with Kim at least. Pictures suggest the opposite, she may be overstressed by all the traveling. Some kids do fine, others don’t. But kids her age are very unlikely to want to match the outfits of a woman who seems to just periodically take her out for photo shoots. Nori is definitely getting less stressed by her parents although the body language for both Kim and Nori still reads as terribly awkward and unfamiliar. Nori still oscillates between looking drugged and mid-cry. Kids can cry at the drop of a hat, but her behavior just doesn’t seem normal to me, not like other kids I see her age or that I have known well. It’s not that hard to bond with a baby, but I really don’t think Kim has done it. She seems so rigid and cold. She doesn’t show normal responses to Nori, she just poses for the cameras and Nori doesn’t play along with it. Not a good sign. Somebody should be helping Kim deal with whatever is going on inside, she seems withdrawn and going through the motions, like an empty shell. She’s always been selfish and self-absorbed, but this goes beyond that. She used to have more life in her.

I hope Kim is accidentally is telling the truth about organically grown food, since Norii is going to have to be plenty strong to survive in that family with those parents. Pesticide residues don’t help.

      • Connie says:

In response to woolman: you are inferring an awful lot to some photos you see with an infant…

    • Connie says:

THANK YOU…. I can’t believe you were the first person to make mention of that!
