Call me crazy, but this is a great shot of LeAnn Rimes, right? This is the cover for LeAnn’s new Christmas EP. As in, it’s not even a full Christmas album. And for what it’s worth, I think there were recordings of LeAnn singing most of these Christmas songs for years. I tend to think Christmas albums are a blatant money-grab, with most artists hoping to cash in on the hunger for Christmas music for one month out of the year. That being said, I loved the Christmas album Michael Buble put out a few years ago. That’s probably my favorite.
So, would you want to listen to LeAnn’s yodels during your Christmas holiday? Her EP includes the songs: Silent Night, Blue Christmas, Hard Candy Christmas, Someday at Christmas, Carol of the Bells and I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas. That’s it. Six songs. And how can you make a Christmas album without “White Christmas” or “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”?!?!? This EP will probably sell as well as her “dance remix” album and Spitfire. Which is to say, not at all. LeAnn released a statement too:
I made a Christmas record a long time ago, and this time, I decided I wanted to spread it out over three years so I didn’t have to stop making Christmas music. We had so much fun making this first EP. I tried to play around with it as far as things you don’t typically hear me do. A lot of the vocals sound very live, and it’s just a really cool piece of music. It’s very exclectic. It has a lot of soul, and it sounds really organic.
I don’t know if “exclectic” is Idolator’s typo or LeAnn’s typo but it stays because it makes her sound so fancy. I’d like to think it’s LeAnn’s typo and it’s a manifestation of her “ex” obsession.
And finally, LeAnn released her version of “Silent Night Holy Night” on Soundcloud. I could only get like 20 seconds into it.

Good times, I was about to say the same thing. It’s a beautiful shot and the styling is pretty but she looks about 17. The photoshopped her face to the max.

The whole thing is crazy photoshopped. Her face…doesn’t look like that. Her hair is gray. The torso proportions, based on what you can see of her groin tattoo, are totally off. She probably used that guy she loves, and has used in the past, who makes all the mean photoshops of Brandi.

Except for that skeleton arm and the over-inflated chest. Holy cow her arm looks gross. I’m surprised someone didn’t catch that – obviously not her real arm shape.
I think the cover outfit is tacky, but she looked remarkably good in the airport outfit. She looks better when she doesn’t try too hard.

Her coat (?) is covering up part of her arm. It’s not photoshop. But you would have thought someone would have seen that and chosen a different picture.
Erm… not defending her as a person, but if you mean her left arm on the album cover, it’s mostly covered up. There’s a sliver poking out, but that’s most definitely not supposed to be her entire arm. Even her team isn’t that terrible.
I don’t care if something is covering her arm, looks wierd none the less. And her tits? Yikes. Am I the only one who thinks she looks sad/stoned?
Inside of the arm is still shopped. There’s some weird shadowing going on at the side of the dress, where it likely was once closer to it.
It’s not obvious to me that the shawl is covering part of her arm – the line is so straight, it looks very artificial. Perhaps it is just the shawl, but it’s not obvious enough and the photo is still creep in my opinion. For an album cover, it should be perfect, and this is far from it.
When I first saw it, I thought is was bad PS too! Then I noticed the wrap covering it. I don’t think it’s a great pic at all – she doesn’t look like herself.
They photoshopped the crap out of her mouth, between her nose and mouth, between her eyebrows, and opened her eyes up a bit. They softened all of her features. And I bet you anything her waist/arm is shopped as well. I hope someone made some good money doing all the edits to that photo.

I consider it her best performance ever, because I can actually tell WHAT she’s singing. I listened to Spitfire ONCE, and all I got out of the lyrics were SPITFIRE, SPITFIRE!

I don’t get why she keeps singing like that because the majority of comments I see are about not being to understand what she’s saying, she obviously believes that we’re all just jealous “haterz”.

To me this looks like a repurposed shot from when she went on ‘vacation’ with her photographer some months ago, when she put up those pics of her on her Twitter in a white dress in the desert. Looks like they just added a winter background and photoshopped a new face on her body, lol.

Good work! Definitely the same shoot, maybe even the same exact spot. They just (badly) PhotoShopped some snow onto the bushes… which is funny because I figured they were fake bushes with that fake snow/spiderweb fluff stuff badly draped over them. Doesn’t look natural at all… but maybe if it did, her unnatural tweaking would stand out more.

Don’t forget Jewel’s Christmas album! It’s perfection. And this shot is lovely. I think because it’s straight on. Leann looks a little wonky and kinda like a “Who” from Dr. Suess from certain angles. Not that she isn’t attractive, just that not everyone is terribly photogenic. I’m sure the ‘shop doesn’t hurt either. But still, it’s lovely. (And is it just me or does that dress make her boobs look enormous?)
Although I think her personal life is pretty disgusting, she does have a lovely voice. I’m one of those who prefer my Christmas music as original as possible (most of the time), so I’m not going to buy this. But it does sound pretty good to me.

It’s actually the exact same plaid as the kitchen curtains at my parents cottage. Maybe I’ll swipe them and make myself some stylish culottes.
She is going commando, I’m not against tattoos or anything but for a holiday album cover it seems a little much. Her chest looks wonky and the coat is resting on her shoulders so the one arm sticking out looks really bizarre. I just can’t with the “runs” and the yodeling in Silent Night I made it to about 40 seconds before physically wincing.

She does not have a great voice, she has a loud voice. Just like Rena McEntire, she stomps all over every song and seems to think that mutilating notes = talent = “making this song my bitch.” No. To ruin a lovely, delicate, haunting song like “Silent Night” is criminal. To do this to that song – and to all the other beautiful songs she’s mangled- is sheer, ugly arrogance.

Exactly. I don’t get how people can still say she has a good voice. She’s impossible to understand now and she does pointless, vocal acrobatics, that take away from what she’s singing. Silent Night is a classic and her version is crap. She would benefit greatly from taking voice lessons. When she sings live, she really strains to hit the notes and it must be destroying her vocal cords.
I think Leann looks good (and younger) because she is less botoxed and juvedermed than she has been in the past few years.

How can you f*** up Christmas music? Why would you f*** up Christmas music? Most people are particular about the Christmas standards and don’t want “experimental” versions of the classics. That’s why we still hear Nat King Cole’s ‘Christmas Song’ and Bing Crosby’s ‘White Christmas’ decades after they are gone. No one wants to hear Country Mansnatcher’s version of ‘I’ve got a Herpes Sore for Christmas’ or whatever stupid ideas she farts out. Boo MeAnn. Will definitely not buy, (and I’ve already started my carol rotation, because I can’t help myself.)

Her album sales won’t be sufficient to pay for the album cover. A six song album? That pretty much describes her work ethic.
As a person who has never heard her sing, I was impressed with her singing ability. For the first 20 seconds of song. Herein lies the problem, too much talking and not enough singing (and not warbly crap singing). Girl should stick with how she became famous.
She has a great voice but she’s very hard to understand most of the time, I don’t think this album will sell more than a few thousand copies, think she does crap like this to make it seem like she’s oh so super busy and in demand. I don’t like the picture either, the coloring of her make up is off and her nostrils look huge, as usual, too much photoshop.
Someone tried to contour her face with a peach paintbrush in photoshop, is what it looks like to me.
I think she looks great on the cover but I couldn’t make it all the way through the song. I’m just not a fan of all the yodeling & such. I’m a purist, I like my holiday songs sung in the traditional way. She sounds good but I don’t like that version at all & her enunciation is terrible.
I noticed my lip raise in distaste at 16 seconds. I don’t know how I lasted another 30 seconds- morbid curiosity, I guess- but 46 seconds in total was 46 seconds too long.

Her lack of a smile or pleasant “holiday expression” makes me think she’s about to morph into one of the living dead or change into a skeleton face with horns (True Colors).
Her album has sequels. She’s putting out three all together. Xmas 1, 2 and 3. Every year until 2016.
Here’s hoping that this album is a flop like “Spitfire” was and there will be no future pieces of trash from this used-up nobody!

I was so hoping to find a Leann Rimes story here today. Not because of her itzy-bitzy-bling-bling christmas CD, I could not care less.
But! I just watched this week’s episode of Nashville (ABC drama with Connie Britton playing a country music queen) and they were saying that there used to be so many good women in country music just a while ago, naming Reba, Faith, Shania and 4-5 others, but NOT Leann ….
Go figure.
She hasn’t had a hit since the 90’s, she’s been over for awhile, and in the past years her horrible behavior has almost ensured that she will stay over!
If I think of female country singers who were a big deal in the 1990s until early 2000s, the first Lee Ann / LeAnn to come to mind is WOMACK — who was invited to sing at Maya Angelou’s memorial service this year.
I also think of names like Trisha, Patty, Suzy, Martina — many names before this LeAnn, who really is just a tabloid name now versus being relevant for her talent.

Leann has released 2 singles from her Christmas album. She released the Hippopotamus song on September 30, but it didn’t chart anywhere. Now all she seems to be doing are these interviews where she pretends to be more important than what she really is. She also did an interview last week, but no one noticed, so she went to Huffington Post this week. Even though she and Eddie are rarely on the cover of magazines, Leann is bragging about how she sells magazines. She also says that there is a story written about her and Eddie every week. What magazines is she reading because when you flip through the magazines each week, Leann and Eddie aren’t there? I wish these journalist would stop babying Leann and hold her accountable because no one would know anything about her and Eddie if it wasn’t for her twitter addiction.
Leann doesn’t look pretty in that photo. Leann looks very bad in that photo. Her hair looks matted and stringy like she was sweating very badly. Since she was in a desert when this photo was taken, she was sweating. She looks possessed and scary in the photo. She was trying to do sexy, but you get a creepy “Annabelle” feeling. She also looks like she really wants a drink of water. That photo was taken in April in the desert during Leann’s 3rd year anniversary getaway with Eddie. We only know this because Leann tweeted and posted photos the entire photoshoot and anniversary getaway. Why are her fans acting surprised by this photo when they have already seen it because she tweeted it back in April? The snow and lights are all photoshopped because the photo was taken in a desert. You can also see her tattoo through the sheer dress. Is that even appropriate? She’s not even wearing underwear in the photo or does she have on a bikini under the sheer dress?
Where did all of the people praising Leann’s photo cover and Leann’s song come from? Why do these people only show up when a particular Leann fan is posting?

Leann is always blaming the tabloids for writing lies about her, but she is her own worst enemy because she just won’t stop tweeting. Because of her tweets, you know exactly when she took the fake Christmas photo. The photo that people are fawning over, isn’t new. Leann has the worst fans. Why are they acting like they haven’t seen this photo of Leann in the white dress when she posted photos of it in April? Some of them were even fawning over the article that Babble wrote about the photos. Looking at that picture makes me think they didn’t have enough photoshop left to fix up her garbage pail kid hair because they used it all on that cutting board of a face. As for the song, it’s an incoherent mess. How can a performer communicate the message of a song if the lyrics are lost to excessive vocal theatrics? Her musical styling mirrors her day-to-day: girlfriend always has the runs.
Illana angel purchased tickets for another Leann concert. I wonder if Leann is crazy enough to scour the earth to find out when she’s going.
Any word on the Leann website launch? She wrote that she had to go look at some fabric or materials. But there’s no pictues of her doing this.

All I can add is it seems everything Leann does these days is very “amatuerish”. She loves to remind everybody she’s been in the “biz” 20 years but you would never know this by the performances she’s churning out. That hair thrown over the collar of that coat looks just like a horse mane. Eeewww…..just so amatuerish!! And cheap is the other word!!!
She could greatly benefit from a slice of humble pie (perhaps Dean can suggest a recipe).
A performer with a truly respectable career doesn’t need to remind the world they’ve been in the business 20 years. While 20 years is technically true (though I personally think she was only truly “full-time” for a small fraction of that time), the bragging and exaggeration of her relevance is part of what annoys people.
Her nose has been Photoshopped to the max. Her nostrils are caves , and the ones in this photo are little tiny baby nostrils. Who is she trying to fool here? She needs to find another photographer for sure! This photo is laughable. She could get a better photo of herself in a selfie with the right filter. I think she just enjoys pretending to be a model, and she gets gloated over by this Sara chick, so there’s that..

Now that no one is engaging LeAnn and her “pshycophants” (you know combo psychos and sycophants ). the majority of her tweets are her consoling them about their endless problems and sending them sympathy because of their never ending injuries and health issues. They sure aren’t a healthy bunch, mentally or physically. On the plus side, they are really over the moon about her Christmas recording, so that means she’ll sell at least a dozen copies.
