Britney Spears prepares for tour with some down time with family

fp_1950140_spears_britney_e
Britney Spears was seen arriving by private plane to McComb, Mississippi on Friday. She was with about 12 people, according to photo agency Fame, including her assistant, her two boys, and her mother and father. She was later spotted on Sunday in Los Angeles riding in a golf cart with her sons and an unidentified guy. I think it’s her agent Jason Trawick, with whom she’s been linked in the past. Britney and her entourage arrived in New Orleans today.

Britney is set to start her whirlwind three month tour tomorrow with her first show in New Orleans. These past few days may be the last time she had a chance to truly rest without the stress of an upcoming performance looming. The Daily Mail has more:

It’s been a long time coming, but Britney Spears is finally kicking off her comeback tour.

Five years after she was forced to cancel her Onyx Hotel Tour after injuring her knee on a video shoot, the singer is hoping her Circus world tour will resurrect her career.

Ahead of Tuesday’s opening night in New Orleans, Britney and her two sons jetted into McComb, Mississippi, the town where her sister Jamie Lynn lives with her boyfriend Casey Aldrige and 15 miles away from her hometown of Kentwood.

Homecoming: Britney Spears jets into Mississippi and enjoys a few days at home with her family before the tour starts on Tuesday night

Looking fit and happy in a red T-shirt and black skirt, the Toxic singer, 27, arrived with a 12-strong entourage including her older brother Bryan.

Waiting at the airport to greet her was her mother Lynne and father Jamie, who gave her a kiss on her forehead as she arrived.

Although ex-husband Kevin Federline has primary custody of the couple’s sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, he has negotiated a deal with Britney to allow the boys to join her on tour.

Aspiring rapper K-Fed, 30, will also be along for the ride and is being paid $5,000 a week to accompany his children.

I hope that everything works out for Britney and that this tour is a success for her. Plenty of people, including Britney’s former music manager, have questioned whether she’s ready for a comeback at this stage. Many have mentioned her family’s never-ending need for cash as a motivation for Britney to launch a tour so soon after her very public breakdown and tentative recovery. Maybe Britney will prove everyone wrong with solid performances across the board. It will be a triumph for her to pull this off and we’re rooting for her.

I’m way too old to be in Britney’s demographic, but I am definitely rooting for her to have a fantastic comeback. I hope she slays ‘em!

Not when kimmora lee is getting 40k per month in child support AND her kids need a new and expensive car to be driven in until they get older.

KFed may be a tool, a douche bag, a leech, etc but he has been more of a hands on parent than the BS has these last few years. Yes, these are his kids and he is doing what he SHOULD do, but if bananas BS father is also getting paid; there might be a reason more than greed.

BS still has the attitude of a spoiled child who doesn’t like rules and regulation. I’m going to assume then, that these characteristics (and the ones we don’t know about) could make her difficult to work with and be around. Poor thing shouldn’t be on tour, but somewhere down South, raising her kids and re-living her “glory” days.

I don’t see a problem with K-Fed getting paid. He’s agreed to let the kids join Britney, which he didn’t have to do, and he is going along to help care for them, which he also didn’t have to do. No matter how it looks, I don’t have the impression he’s doing this for the money. His presence will assure there are no mishaps with the kids that might require a trip to ER, or anything of that nature. Britney is not going to allow him, or anyone else, to accompany her on tour for whatever reason without compensating them for their time. It’s a professional decision and puts a strict definition of his role for the duration of the tour. Otherwise, he’d be there for the kids, yeah, but his presence might also be construed as personal if he weren’t being compensated. If anyone else came along strictly for the kids, they would be paid for it, and so should he. Even though he’s their father, it wasn’t his plan to take them on tour, it was Britney’s.

I hope her tour goes well. I confess, I’ve loved her last 2 albums. Being a mess seems to be conducive to making good music (yes, you musical elitists, it’s good pop music! It’s Britney Spears, it’s not supposed to be deep and meaningful). I hope she can keep it up now that she’s straightened up. Well, I guess she’s still a mess by normal peoples’ standards, but by celeb standards…
