Lio – Tom is the face of Scientology, the good, the bad, and the deadly. So he has to suck it up and take the heat for all the illegal, nasty, and brutal stuff that has happened since he came on board with this nefarious group of “people”. It is unfortunate that his daughter gets fallout treatment but his high profile dictates much of that.

The reason I follow the Katie story is because it is fascinating to watch the disintegration of a human being in slow motion. I don’t wish it on her. She keeps herself in the public eye more than other celebs so it’s easy to follow the story. This story has interested me for years before she came on the scene because I was around at the beginning of Scientology and watched friends get involved back in the hippie days. It has always been incredibly seedy and corrupt (snakes in people’s mailboxes back then). Katie and Suri seem like innocent victims; you can read their emotions on their faces. It’s obvious why she is getting more depressed even though she “has it all”. She’s trapped in a world more weird than any of us could imagine. By the way, I don’t know how Katie manages to get her two year old to patiently wait through all those shopping expeditions. I’m not sure that is a good or bad thing.

But Katie and Suri–you can read their emotions on their faces. Pictures become the story for us. It’s obvious why she is slowly getting more depressed even though she “has it all”. I am constantly amazed when people try to hide the truth about their lives. If you live long enough, eventually you find out what was really going on. Orson Welles said one night to Johnny Carson, “I just want to live long enough to know who Brooke Shields marries!” Anyone remember that? The stars are our Greek gods with their shining Mt Olympus (hollywood) and their feet of clay.

Frankly I think it should be illegal for the paps to photograph celeb kids, I heard a video once of the paps photographing the Jolie Pitt children, it seemed so loud and frightening. I think the parents should release snapshots if they want to share them, and the children should be protected from such frightening situations

I don’t like Katie Holmes *however*… it’s her job as Suri’s parent to take decisions which affect Suri’s life JUST LIKE it’s the job of any parent. Would you want to be judged badly because your daughter is always dolled up and you always bring her with you? I don’t think so! Katie is just a young mother who loves to spend time with her young daughter. Because she happens to be famous, Suri gets to be exposed to paparazzi as well, so what? Should she have Suri live secluded in some exotic New Mexico ranch Julia Roberts style, as if keeping your children sequestered is a good choice? C’moooooooooooon.
