my fiance and i are starting to plan our wedding and ive wanted to wear a black dress for years! we live together but thats not why im wearing black. i saw a black wedding dress once and fell in love with it and knew white would never suit me. my ring is also our birthstone and not a diamond. to me, all that matters is for my wedding to be what i want it to be and im not trying to copy and paste from other weddings. i want it to be unique and special.

i saw her wedding photo. They were married at night so it made sense. I always thought is was the coolest wedding idea I had ever heard off. She should just be happy – don’t drag a seven year old in it! lame

I wore a beautiful champange gold color silk with fine golden lace…sigh …
It was gorgeous…. Loved it!!! It’s still hanging in a special place in my closet.

Wif, did you really wear gold? Wow, that sounds awesome. I wore ivory but the main accent was gold.

I would have loved to have word a big red dress. I so rarely get to wear ball gowns (make that, I never get to wear ball gowns) that a big red one would have been awesome.

I think the only two people who shouldn’t wear black to a wedding are the mothers of the bride and groom. To me, that’s sending a message. As for the bride, if that’s her style, go with it.

black was the traditional wedding dress color in the late 1800s, early 1900s. traditions change.
