He's got depressive tendencies aggravated (if not caused) by severe insomnia (which he thinks makes him manic) that's it. Not fun for sure, quite debilitating in fact,big problem for sure, but not bipolar. I am so sick and tired of hearing him harp on about his suicide attempt (more like a call for help, he took some pills and then called his manager to come get him...) like it's the latest fashion accessory. I'm always appalled at how off the cuff he is about it, just like how he likes to toss that word "bipolar" around. What gets to me is so many teens actually look up to this twat and he is such an absolute douche running his mouth about serious issues like it's fashionable and such. People toss the word "bipolar" around like it's nothing the same way most people in LA seam to pop prozac and zantac and whatnot like they are skittles. Mental illness is not a joke and these hollywood celebrity types make it sound as though it is. You don't see anyone going around saying they got aids when they got the flu? But when it comes to mental illness it seems to be some kind of fashionable joke for lot of hollywood types. I mean if you dont have some kind of addiction, or survivor story to harp on about, you at least have to claim some mental illness otherwise what charity will you represent on celebrity jeopardy?! What harrowing life story will you talk about on Oprah? Grrr... Now see, you want to really see what mental illness looks like? It looks like Britney Spear's breakdown. That's real. bs

Weird thing about bi-polar is that though it has common symptoms it seems to affect everyone differently. I, for instance, tend to enjoy my manic phases. It's very... euphoric almost.
