Why is a 20 year old dating a 16 year old. That’s a much bigger issue than her bikini top showing.
I’m sure all they do when they have time alone is hold hands, right?
Why is he living with them? Like the two of them are totally celibate and never sneak into each others rooms at 2am. He should be charged as a pedophile.

Seriously look at the pics carefully i see the same trees in the back every time do u even think she was running or was she taking photos?????? all i see if different cars every time… nothing else different…

I’m not a huge fan of Miley and actually she’s nor in my top 10 list of fav celebs…but com’on..

I absolutely agree, OrangeJulias, but since I haven’t gone through the maturation process with my own kid, yet (which is the only reference point in my own life), I am still very protective of minors. My dislike of that whole situation is not her developing body or her donning a bikini top in the hot weather. I am not a prude…nor am I in denial about the early age at which young people become sexual. My dislike comes in when I remember how different I was at 16 from the young woman I was becoming at 20. 20 and 16 shouldn’t, in the natural way of things, have much in common even though both are ages very much rooted, still, in youth. There is a chasm of life experience between 16 and 20. Perhaps, Miley Cyrus was robbed of that life experience by being pushed to leap past it. I find that both sad and ominous for her future.

I cannot imagine have a daughter so exposed…either literally with her dress or figuratively through her career. I’m worried for her (and other girls like her) in a more muted but similar way to the worry I would have for my own child at that age. That’s all.

I don’t get the fuss about the 20-year-old boyfriend. My date for my junior prom was 21, and my parents didn’t care. They were smart enough to realize that if I wanted to have sex, I was going to do it whether the guy was my age or not. Besides, 16 is the age of consent, and I have yet to meet a 20-year-old guy who acts older than a teenager, anyway.

Also, I think her outfit is pretty tame, if not proper jogging attire. But every woman knows that comfort usually takes a backseat to looking good. She was probably just out by the pool and her boyfriend said “I’m going for a run,” and she said “Oh, I’ll go with you.” She’s not training for a marathon!

They were running to go get his car. Her sister was with them.

It wasn’t jogging like, let’s go excercise! It was like, let’s go get your car. That is all!

@Aspen–sometimes it feels like kids grow up too fast, I agree completely.

Miley is sort of indicative of the kind of dual treatment we as a society have for our teenagers.
She is allowed to work (and I have no doubt to have accomplished everything she has so far, she HAS worked hard), she is making a LOT of money, she is the linchpin of a lot of other people’s jobs which depend on her, and is expected to be able to handle herself in the public eye.
On the other hand, she is a “little girl” who is not allowed to have a picture taken of her bare back.
It can’t work both ways, though.
You can’t say: work like an adult, handle adult reponsibilities and pressures, but then refer to her as “a little girl” who “doesn’t know her head from her ass”.
I don’t disagree (to the ass/head thing) because what 16 year old does???
But I do think it’s unfair that the same people who raged at her for the “offensive to Asians” picture and insisted she should have been smart enough to know better and mature enough to not do such a thing…now insist she is too young and immature to be wearing a tank top that reveals her cleavage!
It seems as though too many people expect this girl to either behave like a 10-year-old or a 25-year-old, with no room in between.

Hmm. He may be 20, but I’m not sure that’s a man. It may be legally, but do you know any 20 year old guys? My 22 year old is somewhere between a child and a man. I think this generation, for the most part, mature later than we used to. I also think girls mature faster than boys. Just an observation, that’s all…

My first thought is that this girl is so trashy that she doesn’t even comprehend what the fuss is about. The second thought is that most sixteen year old girls aren’t out jogging with their tatas out accpmanied by live in twenty year old boyfriend, a situation that is sanctioned by their parents! So, OMG right back at yah Miley.
