Rihanna and Chris Brown have returned to LA together from a vacation in Miami at Diddy’s place. The two were spotted boarding and exiting a private flight from Miami to LA. They’re now said to be staying at the Beverly Wiltshire Hotel in LA:

The story of Chris Brown and Rihanna’s tainted love continues. Now that the on-again has couple returned to L.A. together, OK! has learned exclusively that the pair — rather than go to either of their L.A.-area homes — immediately checked into the posh surroundings of the Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills hotel.

The pair had been staying together at Sean Diddy Combs’ Star Island Mansion in Miami after spending weeks apart following an incident on Feb. 8 where Chris allegedly beat Rihanna. The two immediately went their separate ways — he went home while she recuperated in Barbados and Mexico.

Photos showing both Chris and Rihanna, their faces covered, leaked onto the internet on Monday, as the pair boarded a flight from Miami to L.A.. Reports claim the two are trying to make their relationship work despite protests from family members.

[From OK! Magazine]

It just makes your heart sink to think of Rihanna back with the man who inflicted those terrible injuries to her. No one can know what goes on in their relationship, or what motivation she has to return to him. It’s unfair to blame the victim, and cruel to call her “stupid,” “weak,” or somehow deserving of future abuse for getting back together with Brown. I like the way People Magazine covered this story back when it first broke. At that time, they couldn’t know that Rihanna would return to Chris, but they said that the victim often returns in these domestic abuse cases and that it takes time and courage to break the cycle. This probably wasn’t the first time Chris abused Rihanna, and sadly it may not be the last.

The law may have say in that, though. The case has been turned over to the LA District Attorney’s office, and Chris Brown is set to be arraigned on Thursday. I hope they don’t go easy on him.

Update TMZ reports that it’s not true that the case is now with the DA, and that it was sent back to the LAPD for review, either for a second time or was never turned over again. (Radar reported that the case was rejected earlier, so this is either a second rejection or it wasn’t submitted again, it’s hard to tell.)

  3. Wonder Woman says:

I agree, I dont feel sorry for her. shes a big girl

  4. zxc says:

She is a stupid b.i.t.c.h. I can’t wait next episode of this soap opera. What’s next? Broken arm? And for grand finale death of them both. I am sick of them.

  5. Lesley says:

I know this is going to sound like I am a total cynic, but I get the feeling this whole assault was part of some publicity stunt. I went to the grocery store yesterday and Rihanna’s face was on almost every cover of the magazines.
Of course I understand that she was hurt. I am not disputing that. But, I had never even heard of Chris Brown before this.
The way that this was handled and leaked to the press seemed fishy. But now they are ” back together “?
I just get a funny feeling about this story.

  6. Tia says:

Sooooooo don’t even have an ounce of sympathy for her anymore. Not to mention HE IS SOOOOOO UGLY AND GHETTO !! She should find someone educated, classy and who doesnt want to beat the sh** out of her. SHAME ON HER. Can you imagine all of the women who are in violent situations, how this impacts them.. SHE IS SHELFISH and STUPID

  7. Embee says:

It is frustrating to watch her go back to him, and understandable that it makes some people angry. Know that she is not stupid, but addicted, and he is her drug. She is going on a bender right now–withdrawing from her friends and family and ensconcing herself in the world he has defined for her (including people like Diddy who “understand”) and will soon tolerate even more intolerable behavior.

If she leaves him, she’ll need emotional methadone.

Truly, she needs rehab. She needs to learn to find her source of strength and support inside herself, or she’ll always go back or find another abuser.

Been there, done that. It sucks.

  8. Anna123 says:

Look at the body language in those pictures. She actually looks frightened in the first one.

To people who say they don’t feel sorry for her anymore, the abuse is psychological as well as physical and it’s very hard to break out of.

  9. the original kate says:

i doubt it is a publicity stunt, considering the police were involved and he will likely go to court. it is frustrating but she still has my sympathy, regardless of whether she goes back to him or not. i hope she gets the help she needs to leave him for good.

  10. Debbie says:

She had the opportunity to get out & make him pay for what he did to her…she could have been a great role model for young girls to avoid relationships like hers…but not now, she’s showing everyone that it’s ok to have “your man” beat the crap out of you & go back to him..sick.

  11. lrm says:

You know,I totally had the same feeling re: this being a publicity stunt. Just a strange feeling out of the blue. I might be off my rocker with it,but it was so random,I had to second that motion re: another’s comment here.

  12. ebgirl says:

Unfortunately, she’s very young, so I’m not surprised. I do feel sorry for her. I remember reading the stories after this happened, about how CB’s career will be devastated by this, etc. and thinking that she was going to feel guilty at some level (not that she SHOULD, but that she WOULD since she is a victim of abuse). It’s hard to break free from an abuser. People don’t understand the kind of emotional damage they can inflict on a woman and how convincing they can be that they are going to change. It takes time to break free if you’re not strong enough. She still has lots of fans and seems to have a decent support system of family and friends, so hopefully she will tire of his abuse and force him to take responsibility for his actions sooner rather than later. I actually hope the DA just takes the reins and puts this guy away for a while so that she can move on quickly.

  13. FF says:

Could be a move to try and salvage his career. If they get back together for a short time before splitting for good. Then he can’t blame any mass fan exodus on her – well in theory anyway.

I’m not angry at her, per se, I’m angry at her choice but I hope she gets it together before something grave happens and doesn’t either stay with him (a la Bobby and Whitney) or leave him just to find someone worse.

I’m just letting the chips fall where they may on this one. I wish she hadn’t gone back but then, I wish she’d not found it necessary to be with him at all.

I guess she won’t be able to sing those woman of steel ballads convincingly anymore without the audience suspending titanic disbelief.

  14. yadira says:

She should know better unless she really is pregnant and is trying to work things out with her soon to be baby daddy

  15. Christina says:

how sad… just because this is common practice for abused women, doesn’t mean that many don’t do the right thing and get away and we should expect better of them… when news first broke out about the beating, i was sure she wouldn’t go back to him considering she has a unique situation where she’s getting a lot of public support (and pressure) to leave him… i’m surprised and saddened that none of that affected her decision 🙁

  16. sarah says:

this is absolutely tragic. I feel like Rihanna has bought into the misogynist attitude that is so pervasive in her industry, which tells men that they own women and women that they should do whatever it takes to please a man. The fact is that in most circles if a 19yr old boy beat a 20yr old girl, practically all of their friends/family/acquaintances would condemn it and push for a break up. We see however, in the world of celebrity, and I would go so far as to say, particularly in the music industry, people are saying “oh, wait and see” and her mentor, HER MENTOR is helping Brown have access to her, and helping them to “reconcile”. The whole situation is really horrific. An abuser doesnt stop, and going back to him suggests that his behaviour was in some way acceptable. Which it was not.

  17. Michelle says:

I think it’s very unfair to say Rihanna could have acted as a role model for young girls about how to handle these situations and that she is sending a bad message to abused women. Rihanna didn’t ask for this. If anything, parents and teachers and other adults should take this opportunity to talk to their children about the cycle of abuse and how even being successful in many ways and having family support doesn’t always protect women from returning to abusive situations. If adults truly care about their young girls (and boys) they would take this and open a forum for honest question and answer with their kids.
In addition, I doubt any currently abused women are going to demean Rihanna since they are most likely to understand what she is going through.

Sadly, this whole thing makes her human. She’s young, she’s probably been involved in months of emotional/mental abuse/control before the physical abuse started. To call her stupid and dumb and undeserving of sympathy and support is to say the same of every other abused woman who returns or remains with her abuser. Just because Rihanna is a celebrity with a supportive family doesn’t make her above the hundreds of thousands of abused women out there.

Continue to decry abuse, and continue t provide support and resources to those who are abused.

  18. RAN says:

For me, this part of the story says it all… “It just makes your heart sink to think of Rihanna back with the man who inflicted those terrible injuries to her.”

  19. bb says:

She is beautiful and talented but she is no longer capable of being a role model for young women. Cover Girl cosmetics needs to pull her contract. You cannot sell yourself if you do not respect yourself.

  20. coffee says:

they’re getting back together? crazy; there must be more going on behind the scenes than the media can pick up on

  21. Debbie says:

BB I agree! Cover Girl should pull her contract…clearly, she does not respect herself & is no longer a role model.

  22. HBIC says:

i couldn’t believbe it when i heard rihanna had took chris brown weak behind back. i don’t feel sorry 4 her anymore and chris brown shouldn’t go 2 jail. she didn’t press charges so he shouldn’t go. she stupidly took him back so it’s her fault. point blank she doesn’t care and neither should we. he is just gonna beat her again and when he does i’m gonna LMAO beause she dosen’t respect her self so i will show her no respect. as a true ex-rhinna fan i say it should be over, it’s getting old. if she wants him let her have him. and regardless of the circumstances of what happened a man should never hit a woman no matter what. and she shouldn’t be with him no matter what, a baby or because u love him. love shouldn’t hurt. if he hits u that shows he dosen’t love u.to pull this all 2gether, she is no longer or ever will be a role model 4 young girls and teens ever again.

  23. Kierra says:

I believe that no one have the right to comment on any of the accusations. No one was there at the scene when the situation happened, no one really know their situation, and most importantly Rihanna nor Chris Brown commented on the situation. The only thing people can go by is what they heard and what they feel about the topic. But how can one comment on something that they know any concrete evidence on. If it had been a video vixen that was beaten on by a celebrity, no one would have really looked into it like this, so why should people give this situation any more emphasis? Why is it that it takes two young stars in this situation to make everyone address such a big problem in the world today? It is imperative that we address topics like this before they are pushed in situations like this. Important topics should not have to wait until a celebrity is involved in order to address them, or they will turn out like this. I am an adamant Chris Brown and Rihanna fan. As a fan to both of them, I will support both of them regardless of their decisions as should as all their fans. If not then whosoever choose not to was not a faithful fan in the first place. People make mistakes. That is apart of growing. They are young, so let then grow.
