Daniel Craig and Eva Green reuniting on screen – for a kid’s movie

A bearded Daniel Craig and his onscreen Bond love interest, Eva Green, will appear in the children’s fantasy movie The Golden Compass. Green and Craig promoted the film together at Cannes.

Green plays, fittingly, a witch who helps the little girl in the film while Craig plays the girl’s uncle.

The movie is based on Philip Pullman’s book of the same name in the His Dark Materials series. There are two more installment, which are expected to also be made into films if this one is successful.

It also stars Dakota Blue Richards, Nicole Kidman, Kevin Bacon, and Sam Elliott, and is slated for a December, 2007 release.

Here’s the trailer, thanks to Best Week Ever for linking it. It looks pretty incredible.
