Here are some photos from last night’s Glamour 2014 Women Of The Year Awards in NYC. The star of the evening was, of course, Lupita Nyong’o. Lupita wore this Chanel Couture ensemble that I’m trying to figure out. Is it a dress with some kind of shorts underneath? Perhaps. Anyway, I do love Lupita in white and Lupita makes Chanel look fresh and well-designed instead of fussy. My favorite part? The sort of mock-collar thing. That’s cool.
Other photos from the event…Doutzen Kroes is my girl, I love her. She just recently had a baby too, and this is what she looks like. Flawless.
Freida Pinto looks different, right? Is it her hair? Something is throwing me off. Freida wore this Jason Wu dress which is either really unflattering or she’s knocked up. Her shoes are fug too.
Keri Russell in J.Mendel. This is just awful, from head to toe. Bad hair, bad makeup, bad jumpsuit. I feel like she needs a new look/vibe. Maybe a shaggy bob and a stronger lipstick?
Karlie Kloss in Alexander McQueen. I actually like the dress, but I would like it more on a different girl.
Natalia Vodianova was honored for her charity work. And she was probably honored a little bit for being the baby-mama to one of the most powerful men in fashion too. So I don’t get why she went for Mrs. Roeper Chic.
Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky… Chelsea looks so cute! I think this might be her first red carpet since giving birth to baby Iowa Caucus… I mean, Charlotte.
And finally, Mindy Kaling in a Salvador Perez dress. I think this is a great look for her! Great silhouette, great color.

Has Keri Russel just stopped aging? I think her face looks basically the same as it did on Felicity. The outfit is godawful though as is the lip colour.
Frida Pinto’s hair is not working for me – her hair is so thick and beautiful – why do that to it? I love the color of her dress, but her shoes – muy mala.
I like the color of Mindy K’s dress and while the cut of the dress is nice, the neckline sucks on her.
Lupita’s dress is very 60s – I’d love to know what that sparkly part is on her leg………….
I actually like Kerri’s jumpsuit.

Love her outfit and she’s got the body for it. Hair is off tho. Gotta start on The Americans. She left her hubs for the costar. And I loved her and her ex hubs together. Ohh well!

@ Dee, it is wildly offensive to insinuate someone is racist for not liking her fashion choices. At no point did either of the two comments above yours bring up looks or how beautiful she is (which shouldn’t matter anyway- people are allowed to have differing opinions on beauty).
Her skin- yeah, it is good. So? That means we have to like her?
Her acting- neither of the above comments spoke a word about her acting, either.
In fact, both comments were directly pointed at her fashion; which is not that great.

Lupita, Mindy and Keri are my favourite looks. I LOVE Keri’s outfit. Worst look to me is Freida Pinto. She rarely looks polished on a red carpet; her clothes are either badly or weirdly tailored, bad shoes, the make-up doesn’t look good, or like in this case, her hair looks terrible.
Great dress, but I can’t believe her team hasn’t fixed her shoe situation yet.

Can’t understand why Kaiser wants Keri’s lipstick even stronger than it is. Seems on steroids to me already, but I sometimes find dark red a tad harsh.

Meh. I remember seeing Lupita’s ensemble when it first came out on runway photos and thinking it was stunning (very regal and Christmas-y) but it doesn’t photograph well in that kind of lighting. It probably looked stunning in person. Here is a picture of the original.

Intricate beading and embroidery rarely photographs well in red carpet lighting.
In another note, Chelsea Clinton should get a different makeup artist and that dress is hideous. Also, every time I watch the Americans I spend the entire episode admiring Keri Russell’s beauty. She is GORGEOUS but I agree, this is not the best look on her.
