Anna Wintour basically said that Kim Kardashian is deeply tasteless, right?

FFN_SNAPPER_Kardashian_Kim_111814_51588970

Kim Kardashian has been in Australia this week to promote her… stuff. God knows. I think she’s promoting the reality show, her clothing line, and one of her perfumes. I always forget that she has perfumes too. Are any of them “hits”? I’m asking because I still love Jennifer Lopez’s Glow and I am unashamed. I will wear a celebrity perfume if it’s a good scent, but nothing about Eau de Kardashian strikes me as a pleasing smell. Anyway, these are photos of her launch of her perfume Fleur Fatale (fatal flower? LOL) in Melbourne, Australia. Yes, she wore flesh-colored latex. Because why not? And is it just me or has Kim had some fresh work to her catface?

While in Oz, Kim also appeared on a chat show called The Project, and she talked about her photoshoot with Paper Magazine.

Kim Kardashian opened up about the reasons she decided to bare all in her now infamous Paper magazine photo shoot while appearing on Australian TV show The Project — and she even taught show host Rove McManus how to balance a champagne glass on his butt! The reality TV show star was guest of honor on the popular Aussie show on Tuesday, Nov. 18, and reacted to critics who suggested that stripping off in a magazine isn’t a great example for her young fans.

“I was so honored and excited to work with [photographer Jean-Paul Goude] because he is a legend, and for me that was something I wanted to do to make myself feel confident,” she explained. “As a role model I’m not saying anyone else should do that, but for me it was an art project and it taught me to do what you want to do,” she continued. “I’m never one to preach, but I felt really positive and really good about myself. I love the photos, I did it for me, I hope other people like them,” she said. Find out celebs’ reactions to the controversial photos.

Show host McManus admitted to enjoying the photographs himself, but had one question that kept worrying him.

“Can you actually balance a champagne glass on your derriere, or was it all Photoshopped?” he asked his guest who was dressed in a black jumpsuit with plunging neckline.

“My back hurt for about a week after that shoot…I used muscles..,” Kardashian said, faltering. “[Goude] has an art of posing you and it was definitely not comfortable and things were falling all over the place. … We made a big mess on set!”

[From ABC News and Us Weekly]

Ew, did anyone else get grossed out at the thought of Kim posing nude and “we made a big mess on set”?? Girl, you shouldn’t have eaten all that Mexican food! GROSS.

Meanwhile, Anna Wintour defended her decision to put Kim and Kanye on the cover of Vogue earlier this year, but she says it in the most Nuclear Wintour way ever.

Anna Wintour has defended her decision to put Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on the April cover of Vogue, but now it appears she is suggesting that the choice was ‘tasteless’. The magazine editor said at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday: ‘I think if we just remain deeply tasteful and just put deeply tasteful people on the cover, it would be a rather boring magazine!’

She added that even from the very beginning, Vogue was never about pleasing everyone. ‘The first celebrity that I put on the cover of Vogue was Madonna, and that was considered completely controversial at the time, too,’ she explained. ‘It’s such a long time ago probably no one remembers, but she was a very controversial figure. Now she’s part of the establishment.’

Ms Wintour, 65, went on to say that if Vogue didn’t reflect modern culture – even the more provocative figures within it – ‘nobody would talk about us. It’s very important that people do talk about us.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Yes, I can see her point, subtle shade and all. It would be boring if Wintour only put classy, tasteful, talented people on the cover of Vogue. But the truth is, Vogue is a media outlet like every other outlet and they want to be relevant and hip and controversial and newsworthy. Thus, they put some deeply distasteful people on the cover sometimes.

What a rude a** comment though. I wish Kim and Kanye didn’t feel the need to seek validation from people who don’t give a sh*t about them.

    • Mia V. says:

Are you kidding? They want everybody’s eyes on them all the time.

    • L&Mmommy says:

I wonder if Kanye will finally clue in and stop kissing those people’s butts. Kimye hold Wintour and co in very high esteem and now she just called them deeply distasteful not even distasteful but “deeply distasteful”. How rude. And funny I might add.

      • scarborough says:

Anna Wintour and her sycophants don’t care about Kardashian or Kanye…it’s all about selling magazines and creating controversy. Behind closed doors, it’s a joke to these people. KK or Kanye will never get true validation from these people and it’s pointless to try. Better to except it and be in on the joke rather than be the clueless butt of it.

      • Chem says:

¨She just called them deeply distasteful not even distasteful but “deeply distasteful”. How rude. And funny I might add.¨

mmmm… That never happened. Read well. And no, is not funny.

    • Tristan says:

Rude!!!!???? I’d call it brilliant! I’m no fan of la Wintour, but the shade was brilliant. Michael K on dlisted wrote a hilariously spot on post on this. Kim & Kanye Kartrashian are about as low as it is possible to get, and KK in that rubber dress looks like she’s just come off a fetish, ws blue movie. Duh, I guess she’s done that already

    • M says:

@ Tiffany27: I totally agree! Who needs enemies if those are your friends?

    • SnarkGirl says:

They’re reveling in that comment I guarantee. They are firm believers is “any press is good press”. As long as they are getting attention, it really doesn’t matter why or from who.

  2. Abbott says:

I really really don’t mean to body shame anyone, but she need to find clothes that fit her properly.

[edited to delete my really mean comment]

    • LahdidahBaby says:

Damn, wish you hadn’t, Abbott! Now I have to just imagine what it was.

    • doofus says:

that’s not body shaming…she has an overall good figure (save the faux-butt) but she dresses terribly.

      so…fashion-shaming?

ETA: (sorta) off-topic, but I heard on the radio this AM that Ray J makes about $30,000/month off of that sex tape of them. and after the glazed-donut bum pics, he made $50,000 in ONE WEEK.

    • Kitten says:

That dress is so, so terrible. Ugh.

Something nice: her hair and makeup look really good! I wish she’d lose the spider lashes but I like the softer hair and makeup thing she’s been doing lately.

@doofus-that is so gross about Ray J.

    • Sumodo1 says:

Kim wore black latex at the GQ awards, remember?

Daily Fail describes how she “gets into” latex getups:
      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2839460/Secrets-Kim-Kardashian-s-skin-tight-latex-outfits-revealed-wears-London-designer-s-creations-AGAIN.html

      • Selena Castle says:

I deliberately do not click on those “Daily Fail” sections that mention her now that I know she checks it three or four times a day. I just will not give her the satisfaction of me looking at her. It is interesting to note that since she said that that particular outlet has had even more “articles” about her. If the people that are infuriated by her (like me) all stopped looking at those articles they would stop running them and that would stick in her craw!

  3. Lucy2 says:

That dress makes her look like a boiled ham.

  4. Grace says:

Her face does look even tighter than usual, but what do I know? I bet Kim would say it’s some wonder balm at work. Like Charlotte Tilbury magic cream or something.

  5. Loopy says:

She must have raided Pamela Andersons 90s wardrobe.

  6. Lindy79 says:

The classic difference being that at least Madonna was famous for what I consider to be a valid reason.

    • Dolce crema says:

Yes! So now artists who are Madonna -ly risqué like gaga, Rihanna and whip cream boobs can Be on vogue and ppl aren’t excited. What’s next after k-trash, snooki on vogue? Pedo lover Mama June?

    • Mia V. says:

Madonna had a career back them based on her own achievments, not based on a sex tape. Very offended with the comparison.

    • DavidBowie says:

      Yes, yes, yes!!!!!

    • Dena says:

Madonna courted controversy as well. Most of them to in irder to get out if the pack. The shame is that she still does at her age and level of celebrity.

      • homegrrrlll says:

Hmm. Madonna had a bit of a thrift store aesthetic back in the day, it was cool and anti-vogue. Kim is the epitome of basic b@#4h, and nothing to do with controversy.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

Very good point, Madonna was talented and worked hard, she was also provocative and wanted attention for it. Kim has no discernable talent, has no concept of the meaning of the term “hard work” and thinks being “provocative” is a career. I put quotes around that because her version of provocative is boring, derivative, and predictable and her only provocative “talent” is extreme body dysmorphia.

    • Fritanga says:

Exactly. From the beginning of her career, Madonna proved she had SOME talent: as a dancer, as a pop singer, as a fashion icon AND a provocateur. Sure, putting her on the cover of Vogue was controversial at the time (only models had been on the covers until then), but believe me, unlike Kardashian, no one thought she was talentless trash. Or deeply distasteful (mostly because when she was young Madonna was quite singularly beautiful).

  7. Amelia says:

Anna Wintour should hold a class in shade throwing – “…[if we] just put deeply tasteful people on the cover…”
And RE Madonna -“It’s such a long time ago probably no one remembers…”
Game, set and match Mrs Wintour.

    • Maggiemay says:

Right?! And next thought ‘hmm, I wonder what Madge did recently to piss her off…?’

      • Mia V. says:

Apparently Madge wanted to go almost naked to the MET Ball and Anna said no. But then you endorse a Kardashian and your point about nudity is no long validy.

    • Renee says:

I didn’t even pick up on the shade throwing re: Madonna. Touche Amelia!! Brava!!!

    • greenmonster says:

      Exactly!
That Madonna shade was so much more than the Kim shade. She called Madonna old and establishment. Despite the fact that Madonna tries so hard to be youthful controversial. Wow!

    • Bob Loblaw says:

That’s some double-edged shade, Nuclear Wintour indeed.

  8. Kali says:

If someone did some kind of podcast series where you could learn how to throw shade like Anna Wintour, I think you could make a decent amount of money.

  9. Allison says:

Anna is the tallest, leafiest oak tree that ever shaded. Simply beautiful.

  10. Darkladi says:

Every time I think that this trick has scraped the bottom of the barrel…even Jenna Jameson would laugh at this…whatever…she’s wearing

  11. neve says:

She looks like a blow up sex doll. She contains just as much plastic.

  12. NewWester says:

I never knew a balloon could stretch that much. “Nuclear” Wintour just threw some good shade. Maybe she wants to start distancing herself from the Kardashian -West empire? Her bosses might be giving her grief over the Vogue cover

  13. Jaderu says:

    Okay. I’ll say it.
It looks like she’s wearing an actual douchebag.

  14. whatsmyname? says:

I like her hair and.. yeah that’s it.

  15. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Kim is extremely tasteless. But i think Anna is worse for saying that. How tasteful is it to put someone on your cover and then tell the world you would rather not have, because they’re just not up to snuff, but you had to so the magazine would be interesting? I dislike the Kardashians, but I don’t think anything is uglier than deliberate unkindness.

    • Grace says:

      There. You said it.

    • Tifygodess24 says:

But the thing was she was being honest. Her comments makes total sense.

      • Fritanga says:

Right. Wintour is only in it for the eyeballs, but it was unfortunate that she caved and put tabloid idiots on that cover, just to stay in the game (which, let’s face it, is dwindling fast).

    • Dolce crema says:

What do you expect? That she be all motherly and sweet because she’s a woman? She’s a boss. She doesn’t need to butt kiss trash. (Plus maybe she doesn’t think they will be offended- they will probably take it as “we’re bigger than Madonna”)

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Where did I say she should be anything because she’s a woman? Don’t put words in my mouth. She should have
        1. Not put them on the cover if she thinks they are tasteless, or 2. Not state in public that she thinks they are tasteless. She could have said “unconventional” or “controversial.” It’s called good manners, good ethics, good breeding, good sense. All the things the editor of Vogue is supposed to be. Don’t use someone, then belittle them publicly.

By the way, referring to human beings as “trash” is tasteless. And unkind. No person is trash. Even Kim. I don’t like her either, but she is flesh and blood, with feelings.

      • Tiffany27 says:

Please don’t be blinded by Kimye hate. Anna’s comments were rude, end of story. And it’s especially mean spirited because both Kim and Kanye speak very highly of her and Vogue.

      • Sea Dragon says:

Au contraire, Good Names. Idk what your standards are but by mine, Mama June, Lilo, LeAnn and plenty of others are complete trash. I don’t think I’m tasteless for saying it either.

    • Scylla74 says:

I wanted to write basically the same…. Anna W. is really a pill. A bitter one.

    • LahdidahBaby says:

You make a good point. If it’s tasteless, don’t put it on your cover. But once you’ve let someone put themselves out there, don’t humiliate them. Anyway, Kimye can do that very well for themselves. But it’s another thing if a purported ally does it. Anna can’t have it both ways, tastemaker and taste-betrayer.

    • Someonestolemyname1 says:

I love Anna Winter but in this case I think Anna W is being a bit of a hypocrite, she says this after the issue was one of the biggest sellers and she put Kimmie on the cover.
It just makes her look like she doesn’t back up her choices, hey just OWN what you did Anna!

Anna trying to play both sides of the street AFTER the fact. Hey just own that you made a choice.
Her comments now just come off as weak and trying to appease her critics after she sold out. Just own it and move on lady.

    • littlestar says:

You said it GNAT! Anna Wintour is an old washed up has-been. She’s completely out of touch with what the public and Vogue’s audience wants. Putting Kimye on the cover was a stunt move that backfired on her, and now she’s being a rude *ss to make herself look good and “above it all”.

    • Dolce crema says:

Sure she’s flesh and blood with feelings, but she promotes terrible values to huge masses of youths to fulfill her own greed. Sure, whatever, I can use a different word other than trash. She’s a shameless narcissist. I wish Anna had shunned her from the start but this is better than nothing

    • Dolce crema says:

I also feel people may be harder on Anna for her iciness and criticizing nature than they would a man in a top business position

    • Bob Loblaw says:

Anna is being Anna, don’t come to high fashion and expect sweetness and light. I think she’s a nasty piece of work, so is Kim, but I can respect Anna for who she is and how tough she has to be to be Queen of that rat race. I have tons more respect for Anna, and she is far scarier, than Kim. Kim gets no sympathy from me, she and Kanye are courting the fashion world, looking for validation, that is their hang-up because of their vanity, boohoo if fashion is full of mean girls and boys. If you want respect, earn it, it’s not handed out as a door prize anywhere.

  16. swack says:

If she were working out the way she says she does, her core would be strong and her back would not have hurt for a week. A day or two maybe but not a week. Just saying. Kim, just say no to the dress. Don’t know how she walks in it. She definitely can’t take normal strides.

  17. PunkyMomma says:

Tasteful or not, Anna Wintour revealed herself to be pretty tasteless when she put Kimye on the cover of Vogue. There is a difference between tasteful pandering and totally selling out.

  18. Birdie says:

Too little too late for the damage control, Anna. You lost respect, now deal with it.

  19. Santia says:

I wonder if KimYe now realizes that the fashion world is laughing AT them and not WITH them.

    • LahdidahBaby says:

Well, I can’t remember how “The Emperor’s New Clothes” ended. Did he suddenly realize he was naked and had been made the butt (so to speak) of a public joke? Somehow I think arrogant exhibitionists don’t have it in them to ever see themselves as others see them.

      • laura.e says:

“But he hasn’t got anything on!” the whole town cried out at last.

The Emperor shivered, for he suspected they were right. But he thought, “This procession has got to go on.” So he walked more proudly than ever, as his noblemen held high the train that wasn’t there at all.

    • Cindy says:

That’s what I am wondering. Will Kim even realize the insult? Could she be that vapid? Also…it sounds like Wintour just admitted she was trolling everyone by putting Kim on the cover.

    • me says:

Nope, Kanye will just say “The world doesn’t get fashion. Only I know fashion. You people know nothing. One day you’ll be thanking me for those leather jogging pants. One day !”

  20. Tessa says:

    Mmmm
    Suddenly I fancy a chipolata

  21. Belle Epoch says:

I can’t believe this dress even exists.

You probably aren’t looking at her feet but she is always teetering like a baby calf.

    • CS(g)E says:

1st thing I look at in all celeb pics! I can’t take it when celebs stand all ridiculous….grrrrrr

  22. Shahrizai says:

Gah! I have no issues with people dressing however they want, but I do have issues with FIT. Holy cats! With all the money and the access to stylists, why can’t she wear clothes that aren’t so tight we can see the Spanx? There is nothing wrong with Spanx, and there is nothing wrong with tight, but there is a way to do it so that it’s not so incredibly obvious that one is needed to make the other fit.

As for Wintour… I’ll defer to Allison’s “tallest, leafiest oak” comment, because that ish is on POINT!

  23. Tifygodess24 says:

I’m willing to bet most of the people who found what Anna said soooo offensive or mean are also the same people who made negative comments about the Kim and Kanye cover or make comments about Kim in other posts. Funny. I don’t get how what Anna said was incorrect or mean – she put them on the cover because they are in the media , controversial and not everyone is tasteful or well received. She didn’t call them trash or anything beyond horrible. So she alluded they are tasteless – so what? They are. She’s in the business of selling magazines and that’s what she did.

    • Linn says:

Difference is that those people didn’t decide to put Kim on the cover in the first place and didn’t make profit of it.

Of course Anna didn’t chose Kim for the Cover because it’s tastful and she just wants to be successful but there’s no need to say it in Front of the Media. I guess she just fits perfectly with Kim when it comes to tastlessness.

      • Tifygodess24 says:

But again why was what she said so bad and why should she hide it? Because she alluded they are tasteless but still put them on the cover? So what that’s her job , personal feelings and business are two separate things. SHE thinks they are tasteless but it was BUSINESS that put them on the cover. She’s allowed to do both , be a business woman and have an opinion and it doesn’t mean she’s tasteless because she said it. She was being honest and explaining the outrage about the cover and her decision behind it. Big to do about nothing.

    • Someonestolemyname1 says:

Kim does sell I’ll give her that, no matter what some say, the woman sells.
Not my taste but someone is buying what she puts out.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

Not sure at all that that is true, they make sure to say she sells and get that in the media but if you look into the reality the numbers aren’t necessarily there. They spend a lot of time hustling and planting stories, self promoting to advance the “empire” that does not mean they are as successful or important as they would like. I’ve never bought any of their products and know no one who has, how about you? I know one girl who was in their Dash store and a t-shirt was $300.00, she didn’t buy it. They get a lot of press but that’s not necessarily bank.

    • littlestar says:

I don’t like Kim and Kanye OR Anna, so I’ll slag all three of them, thank you very much 😀 LOL.

    • mia25 says:

I agree Tifygoddess24. It’s not as though Kimye are these poor, sweet innocents who got taken advantage of and let’s not be fooled that Wintour’s well-known elitism and profit-mongering is actually genuine class and morals. The entire celeb industry is full of fake, back-stabbing, two-faced people who deep down know exactly what each one thinks of the other, and once the bottom line is money and profit they do not care. Kimye are not children and would have done anything to get on the cover of a so-called prestigious magazine. Because they speak highly of Wintour in public and for show does not mean they do the same in private. They probably despise her just as much and already know that she thinks they are tasteless and a sort of novelty and don’t care. If they don’t know, well too bad for them – most of us have or will have to learn about fakeness at some point in our lives. Kimye got the cover and therefore profited from the deal as well. They also have probably two-faced and back-talked a whole host of people themselves to get what they want, so this is most likely all par for the course for all parties involved anyway.

    • snowflake says:

I don’t see anything wrong with what Anna said. I think she’s saying nicely that she realizes Kim is not up to some people’s standards of what should be on the Vogue cover, but that they have to stay current and relevant. I think using not the most tasteful is actually a nice way to say it without being rude. She was acknowledging what other people said about the cover, but also defending using her at the same time. she has to explain herself to the fashion snobs who look down on Kim aka her main demographic that buys her magazine. but she has to include current/relevant people on the cover to up their subscriptions. like it or not, kim has a lot of fans and young girls can buy vogue.

    • Josefa says:

I agree. I didn’t find her comment that rude, really. She’s not using any actually offensive words. She’s telling Kimye they are not classy, tasteful or posh. And, eh… they are not? I don’t find her hypocritical, either. If you read between lines, like you all love to do, she’s saying she put them in the cover because, yes, they are tacky, and using them would make Vogue a lot of money. If they used well-dressed posh actresses all the time it’d be boring. She’s not being a hypocrite, quite the opposite. She’s admitting to putting them on the cover for the exact same reasons we all thought she did. I can’t think of another way to word this without lying.

And seriously now, anyone familiar with fashion lost respect for that publication a looong time ago. The Kimye cover might’ve destroyed their credibility, but it’s not like they had much left.

    • otaku fairy says:

I do see why someone could find what she said kind of rude- it’s the combination of usery and snobbery (Ugh, I’m so above these people, but I’ll put them on my magazine cover to profit off of them anyway), but I think that’s how the entertainment industry works a lot of the time. I don’t find her word choice offensive either- she didn’t take it to the downright nasty and problematic levels that others take it to when commenting on anything Kardashian-related.

  24. Jaded says:

That dress looks like you’d have to scrape it off with nail polish remover and tweezers…ewwwww.

  25. scout says:

    YUCK!

  26. FingerBinger says:

Kim always has this blank look on her face like she doesn’t know who or where she is.

  27. Falkor says:

Anna thought she could elevate Kim with her cover like a high fashion Queen Midas. She couldn’t, but she’s still busy trying to convince us she did. No one can elevate Kim, but Kim can bring just about anyone who tries to help right down with her.

    • Chrissy says:

IDK if Anna tried to elevate Kim. I definitely think Kanye is trying to present Kim as some kind of influential fashion icon and Anna, for some unknown reason, likes Kanye.

      • Falkor says:

Oh I agree, Anna would have not had Kim on her radar if it weren’t for Kanye’s -begging- which was probably next level shit. She gave in and attempted to bring Kim to a high fashion level of existence and it failed. What I’d like to know is what Kanye had on Anna to *ahem* influence this cover. Mysteries, wrapped in two pairs of Spanx, wrapped in mysteries.

      • Chrissy says:

Hahahah. I’ve been wondering that too. Or maybe lots of cash changed hands…

      • Bob Loblaw says:

I think Anna was naive about the down side of Kim, she failed to appreciate that Kim has many more anti-fans than fans.

  28. Cc says:

    that dress is atrocious!

  29. Dawn says:

I think what Anna was saying was too bad to all of us who cancelled our Vogue subscription when she and KanYe showed up on the cover of Vogue. I think she said trash and tasteless people sell magazines and get tongues wagging and that to her is a good thing. I will bet that now that Anna has told us all how we should feel grateful to Kim and Ye for being such she will put them back on the cover or in the magazine again. To me this Anna Wintour holding up her middle finger to all who disagree with her. When Anna is right she is right but this time she was wrong oh so wrong and she should stop trying to shove these two down the collective throats of the world. DM is doing a good enough job of doing that and we don’t need to hear it from Vogue.

  30. Carrie says:

It looks like she’s wearing someones old wad of chewed up bubble gum.

  31. serena says:

Did she just called herself a role model? *shrieks*

    • me says:

Yeah I mean what the? How is she a role model? Well I guess for women who want to get rich and famous by using their bodies and having no shame. She could write a book about that.

  32. Jennifer says:

She looks like she’s had her face “contoured” or whatever you call it when they suck fat out. Unfortunately, she’s in her 30’s, so it makes her look older.

I don’t remember who said it, but it was classic and honest- “at some point you have to choose between your ass and your face”. With this idiot, that doesn’t apply because her ass is not a normal ass with a little fat, it’s probably pure silicone. Your face needs a little fat to keep from looking like an old crone before your time. Her eyelashes are ridic, the latex shit heap she’s wearing makes Kelly Bundy look like Lady MacBeth.

    • me says:

She really doesn’t need all that make-up. She looks better when she does more of the “natural make-up look”. Her make-up artist flew to Australia with her just make her look this way. The worst thing are the tarantula eye lashes, especially the bottom ones. She should stop doing that. Also, the highlighting and contouring are too obvious…that needs to be toned down.

  33. may23 says:

    She is in great shape!

  34. Dawn says:

Oh how nice to see little North West smile at her nanny! You can certainly tell that Kim and her mom put this out to the world so they can fool some into thinking that North actually like her mother and vise-versa. But little North’s body language says differently as she leans far away from Kim and looks pretty stiff in her arms as she always does. She is a cute kid but most are so there is that.

    • me says:

Are you taking about the pics on twitter? She wants us to believe Nori knows not to smile at the paps but only smiles at home. Come on ! Kim is the one that calls the paps and one day Nori will find out the truth !

  35. Prettykrazee says:

I appreciate that excellent shade (grade A+) Anna but c’mon. Don’t be mad. You underestimated just how disliked they are and that magazine bombed in sales. There is no need to talk bad about them now. You put them on the cover to create controversy and get a buzz. Their cover did just what you wanted. It just didn’t translate into magazine sales. Consider it a lesson learned.

And Kim’s dress looks like a flesh colored sausage casing .

  36. embee says:

That “dress” is so tight and shiny. It looks like she has a condom stretched and shelacked to her body and then took a few rolls in baby oil. Can she breathe? Can she walk or even sit down? Where the hell does she find these shameful things?

    • may23 says:

I know, it’s all of those things, but it just works on her. I like it! Who else could’ve even come close to wear it so nicely?

      • otaku fairy says:

Maybe Rihanna. She doesn’t have Kim K’s curves, but I still think she could pull this off.

    • Lady D says:

Yeah that’s my question too. Where does she find these outfits? They remind me of those spray-on box liners for your truck bed.

    • Chrissy says:

      Frederick’s of Hollywood?

      • Falkor says:

It’s vinyl fetish clothing. It’s easy enough to find if your a fetishist, but most people don’t take sex dungeon chic to the streets.

  37. aenflex says:

When is this troll going to learn that she needs her skirts a couple inches above the knee?

  38. Amy says:

    Unfortunately her little stunt backfired.

Kim and Kanye’s copy of Vogue was a low-seller compared to someone who has been on the cover multiple times like Rihanna. That’s with the inflated numbers the Kardashian’s bought just to save face.

Perhaps not always deeply tasteful…but certainly not multi-cultural, daring, or brave either. Stick a plus size woman on the cover Anna and grow some balls, nah lets go with America’s trash an – Kim Kardashian.

    • Chrissy says:

Hell will freeze over before a plus-size woman graces the cover of American Vogue. Mind you, isn’t a size 6 or 8 considered plus-size in their world?

      • Falkor says:

Anna Wintour most likely considers any sizes above 00 to be beastly and that’s not what she’s looking to recruit for her couture skeleton cover girl army of doom.

      • otaku fairy says:

Except for Adele. She’s the only plus-sized woman I can remember getting a vogue cover. But it is mostly slim people who get vogue covers. Part of that is likely Anna Wintour’s doing, part of it is because the fashion industry seems to be more about slender people to begin with, and a smaller part of it is probably because most super-famous people are on the slim side.

    • Cici says:

Lena Dunham probably qualifies as plus-size, too.

  39. kri says:

She looks like the condom that Adam Levine FKA Pull Out Guy refused to wear. Now I can see why. WTF is wrong with her? And yes, she and Kanye are tasteless. Props to Wintour for finally saying it.

  40. may23 says:

Then why hasn’t Victoria gotten on the cover of Am Vogue? Is she becoming deeply tasteful? She was tasteless at some point, did she miss her chance?

  41. snowflake says:

i was watching kourtney and khloe take the hamptons and they had kim in it for a minute. i rewound and froze the screen on kim’s face, i was like, something’s not right. she had some f8cking horrible lip injections, looked ridiculous. looks so surgeried, and like someone said, LA face.

  42. me says:

How can she breathe, walk, or eat in that dress? She goes through such painful lengths to make herself seem “fashionable” doesn’t she? All that pain and the end result is still horrible.

  43. tabasco says:

I find it deeply entertaining that she is pictured right next to “discount chemist.”

  44. ketjo says:

Ladies …Ann Wintour has a new Reality Show on TV with Diane Von Furstenberg……..and needs all the positive reviews she can to draw interest to the show……and just as she sold out to Kanye and Kim and gave them the cover they so desperately wanted she is not above backstabbing them to gain attention for her own interest…..Who ever told you the power players in the Fashion World were Nice people you can trust….? They didn’t get where they are by being NICE ! …they are cut throat and ruthless. and Ann Wintour is the best at her trade….

  45. Mischa says:

I just want to know how she sits in these dresses. She looks like she’s suffocating. And the bra cups are way too small for her boobs. She is certainly deeply distasteful.

  46. boredblond says:

Wintour is the ultimate hypocrite. She’s walking it back now because it wasn’t the success she thought it would be. She just won’t admit she’s in the fame ho business, just like the Kardashians..only they’ve made a lot more profit. The idea vogue is a fashion bible is decades’ old history.

  47. Messenger says:

anyone who gets their start in a sex tape where someone pees on you deserves to be called tasteless and so much more. what are we disputing? no one with eyes and an ounce of intelligence thinks kim k and her sisters are a class act. just watch five minutes of their show and hear the topic du jour: usually gross and revolting. it is an era where people with no talent and no class prevail. anna wintour has eyes. she merely capitalized on that. kk’s mother has been selling her since she was a teenager. this is not news people.

  48. SkinnyFatHunnam says:

Kimmode is a famewhoring, shameless, tasteless, classless pig. She disgusts me.

  49. ashleydey80 says:

“My back hurt for about a week after that shoot…I used muscles..,” Kardashian said, faltering. “[Goude] has an art of posing you and it was definitely not comfortable”

She’s so full of it! Yes, Goude has an art of making it look like his models are in extremely uncomfortable poses; however it’s just that. Art. In the days before photo shop existed, he would cut up the images and rearrange them in order to make it appear as if his models were making those crazy poses.
Here’s a link that shows how he did it for the cover of Grace Jones “island life” album:
    http://static02.mediaite.com/styleite/uploads/2014/11/grace3.jpg

  50. jwoolman says:

Kim still doesn’t know how to stand or walk as a model – neither do her K sisters. How can they do so much modeling and never learn something as basic as how to walk and stand? Their legs are generally oddly posed and twisted like a junior highschooler. Kim also might have a problem wearing clothes that inhibit movement, such as the one shown here, but other models and red carpet type celebs walk and stand fine.

  51. funnybonee says:

I’m not kidding..the nude of Kim Kardashian was so dis-jointed and frankly ugly and full of grease it made her look like she fell down a elevator shaft.

  52. Freespirit says:

I’m just going to put out there something that was missed – mostly likely because only Aussies might know on looking at the pictures: Kimmykakes had her perfume “debut” in Australia at a cheap pharmacy franchise. Chemist warehouse sell OTC drugs and scripts and yes – perfume – heavily discounted. It’s really bottom rung for fragrance.

Normally when a celeb spruiks a fragrance here it’s a higher end department stores such as Myer or David Jones. I was laughing so hard how they put the backgrounds up etc to make it look better. Just check out their website – you’ll see what I mean.

Gave me a very big laugh.

    • Jaded says:

I wonder what her perfume actually smells like? Probably a combination of baby oil, bed-bug repellant and deodorant.

  53. rose says:

    hey kimye:
if the shoe fits, wear it.
why don’t you 2 pick a cause you care about and do some good on this planet.
and stop looking in the mirror all the day long.

  54. Elena says:

Wintour said they couldn’t just put “deeply tasteful” people on the cover. The opposite of “tasteful” is “tasteless”. Now do that with “deeply” too, and you’ll have the answer of what she considers Kim and Kanye to be.

  55. MY TWO CENTS says:

I look at this woman and I think OMG this is what the media puts on a pedestal and represents “being famous” in America? I think it says a lot about the trouble we are in. This woman has ruint her looks with all the fakeness. She has never been model material but everyone sure acts like she is. My gosh, I look at some of these Hollywood women and all the plastic and I am afraid they are all gonna start cracking and just poof into a pile of dust. It’s getting ridiculous. This is what we are supposed to look at and say OMG what beauty? I don’t think so. Yet, these are the ones rich and famous in America. Very sad.

  56. Uncle Bob says:

Diana Vreeland, one of Ms. Wintours predesessors once said “There is good taste and there is bad taste, but there is no excuse for no taste at all!” Which fully explains why SEARS was the only company to take on the Kardashians clothing line of sausage dresses and hooker accessories.
