Jennifer Aniston in Zuhair Murad at the ‘HB2’ LA premiere: dated or adorable?

FFN_RIJ_HORRIBLE_BOSSES_112014_51591092

Is anyone really looking forward to seeing Horrible Bosses 2? I have my doubts, although I know some people thought the first movie was pretty funny. Still, the second one seems rather… unnecessary. The film is currently tracking at 13% on Rotten Tomatoes, and Lainey keeps calling HB2 the “Norbit” in Jennifer Aniston’s “Oscar campaign.” Even though Aniston is front-and-center during the HB2 promotion, if the film does badly or it’s just a critical failure, I doubt she’ll have to wear it.

Anyway, these are some photos from last night’s LA premiere. I’m only including a couple of photos of Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis and Chris Pine, just because… I don’t know. They’re not very fashiony. I could write some lengthy diatribe about Pine’s hair (IT IS AWFUL) but that won’t solve anything!

Jennifer wore this black-and-white Zuhair Murad and some surprisingly good Louboutins. Her dangly diamond earrings are Jennifer Meyer (Tobey Maguire’s wife and go-to jewelry designer for Aniston and her friends). As for the Murad… I really don’t like it. This isn’t one of those situations where it would look better on a different woman either. This is just a crappy, dated, ill-fitting mess of a dress. The top part is 1980s bachelorette party and the bottom half is 1980s prom (mullet skirt!!!). And to top it off, her teased ponytail looks… interesting, let’s say. Jennifer is like Duchess Kate: we have to praise her on those rare occasions when she wears her hair back, so let’s just be happy it’s not flying around in her face.

  1. don't kill me i'm french says:

Since when Chris Pine looks like ScarJo’s french baby daddy?( it’s not a compliment)

  2. Tracy says:

    I don’t love it.

    • Tristan says:

It really is terrible. She usually looks well put together, but this dress is really dated looking and would have been appropriate for a twenty year old on the prowl on holiday in aya napa

    • doofus says:

nor do I. but the shoes are pretty fab.

    • Kitten says:

Not good at all–looks cheap and very unflattering. People always give her sh*t for relying on classic, simple styles with clean lines but honestly that’s what suits her best. This outfit is proof of that.

    • Anny says:

I hate this look. The dress is boring, upper half looks just cheap, mullet skirt attracts a lot of attention to her knees which isn’t really a good move (she has great legs but this dress just doesn’t do anything for them at all, but maybe that is just because I hate knees in general – weird, I know), jewellery is meh (cheap looking) and those shoes aren’t very flattering.
Something nice – I like the way her ponytail is styled and I like her bracelets

    • Someonestolemyname1 says:

How did she ever become a star? I just don’t get her. Sorry JennAnn fans.

      • DenisePayne says:

She was an ordinary looking actress on a service-able enough ensemble sitcom for a decade that people loved and she had a haircut widely imitated and admired in the 90s..when she hooked up with the broken hearted sex symbol movie star, every day women felt like their team was winning…when her sex symbol movie star husband wanted a split and then fell in love with another sex symbol movie star…they lined up in support and have been invested in her personal happiness and triumph over you know who ever since. That’s why any inference of a feud, a war, a grudge or catfight gets juices flowing and only shores up her support among the minivan masses who read tabloids and pick up the people style edition.

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

        @DenisePayne …

Wow … this is an awesome, eloquent summary of the past 10-years. 🙂

      • Someonestolemyname1 says:

Thank you. I always wondered why this woman got so much hype.
I only watched Friends in reruns a few times at the gym while on the treadmill, after it went off regular weekly tv and she even seems dull as a cast member. I just never got why she sells magazines, why she sells films, but thanks for the explanation

      • BoredAndExtremelyDangerous says:

I’m with you, SSMN… I just don’t get it, either. Here, her hair looks horrible. It’s how my friends wear theirs when they’re off to the beach. Her cheeks and feet look gross, and that tan is too dark, but I hate fake tans, anyway. I also don’t get the fascination with most Louboutins, either. To me, they’re just exorbitant/overpriced bits of blah.

  3. PunkyMomma says:

That dress fails in so many ways. Anniston looks like she’s trying too hard.

    • Sullivan says:

She looks like she runs a saloon in an old western. Miss Kitty in Gunsmoke. What? It’s a classic.

      • Goongirl! says:

Now why would you insult Miss Kitty like that? I like Miss Kitty. LOL!

      • DenisePayne says:

Lmao…miss kitty..except older. Her skin and makeup look bad..the chest area is mottled…are those age spots or was she trying to scrub self tanner off? What happened to that photog her people had on retainer that provided those blurry blown out ‘fresh look’ filters, like she had on her impromptu cake premiere night?

  4. Frida_K says:

This outfit would be cute on a try-hard nineteen year old. Nothing against JA, but this outfit is too young AND she doesn’t have the “I don’t give a feck, I like it and I’m wearing it” vibe (like Helena Bonham Carter and her quirky ensembles). So she can’t pull it off. You have to either be age-appropriate or have ‘tude to spare if you want to wear things like this.

    • Josephine says:

I agree – she looks uncomfortable. She’s been doing a lot of black and white – some color would be good.

    • DenisePayne says:

Speaking of too young. They showed some actress named Bella Thorne, beautiful girl, who was at the horrible bosses premiere…she’s only 17 and was wearing this skin tight white jumpsuit with no underwear showing what looked like a bought booty. I know her antics made those papz lose it. Maybe jen got wind and that’s why she looks constipated. It was really inappropriate for a teen to be wearing.

    • DrM says:

My first thought was “‘what the f*** is she wearing???” bad all around…particularly the orange tan…ugh

  5. Charlotte says:

I’m sorry, all I saw was Jason Bateman.

  6. I still can’t believe people pay hundreds of dollars for that cheap ass jewelry.

And this look is just godawful. It’s a doily-mullet mess. I like the silhouette (except for the mullet skirt), and I think the look would’ve been nicer if it was just a simple blouse and a pencil skirt, or just a flowy skirt.

And I will never understand her gargantuan engagement ring. Look at all of her other jewelry–small, gold, and barely noticeable. Why tf does she want that giant, gaudy ring that isn’t even her style?

Also–I don’t think her character makes any sense with this movie. What I mean is I could understand her storyline in the first movie–the dentist who was sexually harassing her assistant. She was gross and inappropriate. But what I’ve seen from reports of the leaked script, and interviews for the second movie–her character is here to just show up and be disgusting. And that’s it. I wish Jennifer had insisted there be more of a storyline, because from what I’ve read, the bulk of her storyline is forcing the three main characters into a gangbang on her, for what? So she won’t tell on them for SPOILER SPOILER……it’s just so gross to me. There doesn’t seem to be any real point to her character in this movie. Except to be disgusting.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Agree with all of your comments.

    • Courtney says:

Jennifer Meyer’s stuff has never appealed to me. But it’s all in who you know, so…

    • Brandii says:

Aaaargh. I dont mind a little Aniston bashing once in a while but even I know criticising somebody for wearing an engagement ring given to them is going over the edge.

      • I’m not criticising her for wearing it. I’m making an observation that a) that ring is fugly, and b) I don’t understand how Justin thought this was her taste, because she NEVER wears jewelry, and when she does, it’s always very subtle–and gave examples i.e. the jewelry she’s wearing now.

      • GoOnGirl! says:

Given? Aniston bought this ring herself.

      • Evyn says:

She bought that God awful ring so people WOULD talk about it.

I remember the statement her publicist released about the proposal, and that was not the ring that was described. That ring was a delicate, emerald cut stone, not that ugly quartz she waited months to show off.

    • DenisePayne says:

It’s almost like she has a cameo – the trailers I’ve seen she wasn’t even in.

    • mari says:

Is that her engagement ring? It looks like moonstone…

  7. Tarsha says:

The dress looks 80s and the pointed toes of her shoes do not suit her. Anything that shows those scaly knobbly knees is not a good look. I like her hair.

  8. serena says:

Ugly.. She is a beautiful woman but her dress-game is being awful lately. Not only is dated but it seems so cheap, almost stripper/dancing with the stars-like.

By the way I kind of hate Jason Bateman hair.. wtf is that hairstyle and colour? Nope!

  9. Luciana says:

Not her best look but it’s ok. I like her dress. Sue me.

  10. FranticallyBored says:

I feel bad for Jason Bateman’s hair.

  11. OriginalTessa says:

Hate it. Looks like a prom dress from five years ago. She doesn’t have to try so hard. She’s still super hot.

  12. diana says:

Like her hair band. That’s all.

  13. Godwina says:

I can’t look at her now without seeing that horrible “Long Island Psychic” laid over JA’s face like some awful suburban-nightmare palimpsest.

  14. scout says:

She looks puffy everywhere. Need to do Hatha (hot) Yoga more!

    • alexc says:

No body shaming intended but she’s packed on quite a few pounds. It really changes the way she looks.

  15. Maya says:

I have never ever commented on anyone’s looks before but I have to say this – Jennifer looks butch.

She looks like she has been working out hardcore – her arms are too muscular and her face looks more plum. She seems to do weights and also had fillers done.

As for the movie – I like the first one so I will be checking this one out. Mainly because my husband Chris Pine is in it.

But a very bad strategic move to release the movie against Hunger Games.

    • Laura says:

So much for your anti body-shamming campaign from earlier this week….

      • Maya says:

I didn’t know that butch was a body shaming term.

I thought it was used to describe someone who is muscular.

I am sorry and I won’t use that term again – I don’t like any form of body shaming and will never be part of it.

      • Peppa says:

People have been calling JA butch, manly, making fun of her chin and nose, and saying she has a weird body for a while on this site. That’s why it made the “everyone body shames AJ” hypocrisy weird to me. I actually saw the comment (probably from this one) that AJ fans never body shame JA. Insert Jennifer Lawrence ok .gif here.

      • Maya says:

@Peppa: I can honestly say that I have never ever body shamed anyone my whole life.

And I can guarantee you that you won’t find any comments like that from me.

As I mentioned above – I didn’t know that butch was a negative term or that it was a body shaming word. I just thought it was a term used to describe people who are muscular.

      • Bridget says:

Maya, “butch” is a derogatory way of saying that a woman looks manly. You’ll hear it a lot to describe a subset of lesbians, but even then an outsider really shouldn’t place that label. And you apologized immediately and politely, so there you go.

In general, calling a muscular woman “butch” or “manly” is a put down, because it implies that strength and muscle definition is the sole property of men, and that women should be wary. But it’s also unfair, because it frames fitness within the context of whether or not a woman’s body is still appealing to men, who’s opinion no one actually asked for. Ultimately, it implies that weakness is sexy, and that women should avoid becoming too strong if they still want a man to find them attractive. F that, right?

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Peppa, who wrote: “People have been calling JA butch, manly, making fun of her chin and nose, and saying she has a weird body for a while on this site. Quite frankly, this is the first time I’ve ever read anyone ‘here’ calling Jennifer Aniston ‘butch,’ although a few–myself included–have speculated that she might be in the closet, and have said so in that manner. Manny, Chinner, yes, but never butch. And on that topic, I don’t think she looks butch or athletic at all. She looks like she’s spent more time lately drinking margaritas and less time hitting the yoga mat. There doesn’t appear to be a bit of tone in her shoulders or upper arms (evidenced in photo #2 above).

Jolie fans claiming to never have Body shamed Jennifer Aniston? That’s a bit of a stretch simply to stir the pot.

      • FLORC says:

        Emma
        Agree so much!
If anyone has said Aniston has looked manly or butch it’s immediately jumped on by everyone else here as offensive. Even by those that aren’t Aniston fans.

I’ve made mistakes using words at face value not understanding the meaning and how the references mean other things. And am immediately jumped on for it because it’s weakness in armor.

I think Maya used a term with no ill intent and backed up that with describing what looked muscular about her.
And yea. Jen looks to have had loads of fillers lately.

    • Arlene says:

Too muscular? Are you drunk? Her body looks perfectly fine, better than fine really. I’m not mad about the dress, but for god’s sake, give the body shaming a rest.

      • GoOnGirl! says:

I don’t consider this body shaming at all, but she has packed on pounds and they’ve all gone to her middle. Menopause is a bitch and I should know.

      • Arlene says:

Being ‘butch’ or ‘too muscular’ is NOT the same as carrying a few extra pounds in your middle. I’m no JA fan, but for a woman in her 40s she look pretty damn good. Also, we don’t know if she is menopausal or not, and it’s none of our business one way or another if she is.

    • doofus says:

butch? I think “butch” might be a bit strong. Serena Williams is “butch”. Chyna (the ex-wrestler) is “butch”. Big Boo from OITNB is “butch”.

but Aniston? this dress does her no favors but I really disagree with the term “butch” to describe her.

      • Anne tommy says:

As someone who really does not like Serena Williams at all, she is no way butch. She has a powerful physique ( with massive T & A) and actually a very pretty face. Butch no, bitch yes. .

    • Kitten says:

Yes because God forbid a woman be strong-looking. We must all look frail and fragile. Ugh.

      • Bridget says:

Jennifer Aniston isn’t even a particularly muscular woman, either. What a weird comment.

      • FLORC says:

        Bridget
She’s extrmely muscular. She appears puffy lately. I’m thinking vodka sodas played a hand. Everyday though she appears strong. Diet soda, water, chicken ceasar salads are her life normally with strict Yoga and beauty regimen. She looks a bit bloated lately from fillers and alcohol i’m guessing, but she is normally very lean and strong.

    • FingerBinger says:

What wrong with looking “butch”? KD Lang has pulled that look off for years and she’s looked fabulous while doing it.

    • mimif says:

Uh, think you might want to look up the term butch, because she is anything but.

      • DenisePayne says:

Yeah I don’t like her or the way her PR stalks the JPs but even I wouldn’t say she’s ‘butch.’ Butch is typically known as a tomboy demeanor – think Jodie Foster or Kristen Stewart. If she were butch that would at least make her a more interesting personality.

To me she just has zero sex appeal and comes across as more asexual.

I think what some people are seeing is the fact that her features, we’re never very feminine looking (all the tootsie and dustin hoffman comments come to mind) so when she slathers on makeup (and in a bad way like on this red carpet where her face is lighter than her chest) it emphasizes the mannish qualities: thick neck, beady eyes, large nose, large chin and thin lips. Someone once likened her to Terence Stamp in Priscilla Queen of the Desert…and it was a perfect comparison…except Terence was slightly prettier when done up. Truth.

    • Anny says:

I think her body looks awesome. She is still slim but a slightly fuller figure looks better on women her age. She has toned arms but muscular? No way. I’ve been thinking this the whole week so I am just going to say it – I prefer her body to AJ’s any day (on the other hand Angelina has an incredibly beautiful face I could stare at all day long)

      • I think Jennifer has a nice body (doesn’t look ‘butch’), but her face looks like she gained weight–but I read that she said she stopped working out/gained weight from making ‘Cake’ so she might’ve just stopped working out for a while. And her makeup’s off (face is a different color than her body), and her dress is ugly….

      • doofus says:

“a slightly fuller figure looks better on women her age.”

yeah, it’s the whole ‘face or fanny” thing. someone below posted a link to some stills from The Break Up, and I was surprised at how thin she looked. she looked OK, but I think she looks better in these shots with a few more pounds on her frame.

      • Bridget says:

@VC: her face looks like it was pumped full of fillers.

      • Anny says:

Her whole look is bad. As I said somewhere up this thread, I hate her shoes, the dress, jewellery (bracelets are nice but maybe for a casual outing…) – just no. And her makeup too. I loved her look in the plaid dress.

      • Anny says:

P.S. Thanks for not jumping my throat for comparing her body to Angie’s. There were a lot of articles on them this week and some of them were connecting them for a “Triangle of Doom: Episode XXVI Oscar Mess” so I couldn’t help but compare.

      • DenisePayne says:

Brad Pitt prefers Angelina’s body which is all that matters though. Also it seems John Mayer preferred Jessica ‘Sexual Napalm’ Simpson to Aniston…and all the guys that dumped her preferred some body else to jens body. Lol i think it’s mainly that aniston is possessed of zero sexy. That said…why are you comparing the two least comparable women in Hollywood? Do you compare Elizabeth Taylor to Rosie the Paper Towel lady – because that’s what comparing Angelina Jolie to Aniston is like. What’s the point? Because of Brad Pitt? Get over it hon. Its been 10 years. Aniston’s body didnt keep brad pitt, vince vaughn, or John Mayer and most likely wont keep bald short poseur dude. But we’ll see..he seems to love the instant tabloid fame.

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Maya, who wrote: “As for the movie – I like the first one so I will be checking this one out. Mainly because my husband Chris Pine is in it.”

What do you mean, ‘your husband?’ Everybody knows that Chris Pine and I have been deeply involved since 2009. You keep dreaming! 🙂

      • Maya says:

@Emma: oh my god – you are the bunny boiling stalker Chris has been telling me about.

Just so you know – I am off to the police station to get a restraining order against you;)

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Maya … Ha! ‘Bunny’ was boiling alright, but there wasn’t any water involved. 😉

    • Paige says:

@Peppa Since there’s a comparison, in JA threads it’s mostly people complaining about her clothing instead of her body. Whenever I do stop to look at a JA post the comments are about her fashion or her relationship with her boyfriend. I rarely ever see anyone body shaming her, besides the comment made today. It’s the complete opposite in AJ threads, where majority of the comments are people talking about her weight. It’s wrong to body shame anyone and as a Angie fan no one can ever accuse me of body shaming her. However, in AJ threads that’s all you see. I’ll prove my point next premiere when all you see is comments about AJ weight in her thread vs comments about JA clothing in her thread. JA weight isn’t the main topic in her threads, while the same can’t be said for someone else.

  16. fan of angie says:

Cupping marks would have completed the look. I just don’t like her, I’m sorry.

  17. Emma - the JP Lover says:

Nice hair extensions (I love the streaked colors). She’s bringing the ‘stumpy’ with that outfit (Jen, fire your Stylist!). That is all.

    • Annika says:

      What is “bringing the Stumpy?”

      • doofus says:

in the past, she has said that she thinks that Aniston’s great legs are all an illusion created by the shoes (heels) she wears, and that she’s actually kind of “stumpy” in stature.

I don’t happen to agree but everyone’s entitled to an opinion.

In this instance I think it’s the dress. it’s just not very flattering.

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Annika, who wrote: “What is “bringing the Stumpy?”

In addition to what @Doofus said (nice summation!), in my opinion Jen is short-waisted (hence, the stumpy) and doesn’t always wear clothes appropriate for her height or frame (much like the Olsen sisters).

    • Ennie says:

@Anika, probably it is because of that dress in 2 colors make her look shorter, she already is short and her legs are short too. her head always seemed big to me, or maybe tin is the shape.
In summary, not a good dress, not a good look, bad make up. In the pic from the back you can see the color of her tan and the color of her face makeup.
She has had better days. One good thing. Her face doesn’t look bloated like in the other daily mail pics in a white blouse. Maybe the work she got settled before her live appearances.

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Ennie, who wrote: “@Anika, probably it is because of that dress in 2 colors make her look shorter, she already is short and her legs are short too.”

        Yep, this too.

      • Annika says:

That dress really is a mess, yuck.

      • GoOnGirl! says:

There will be people who will say Aniston has had nothing done to her face. I disagree and agree with you, but they will say we are hating when it’s so obvious. I wonder why her face looks different every time you see her.

  18. black orchid, says:

that dress looks like somethin from Forever 21,grow up Jen!

  19. Liz says:

I think it doesn’t help her look that her make up looks really bad here, blusher is way to dark and her foundation is far lighter then her neck.

Which is really odd for Aniston as she generally looks good on the red carpet if a little repetitive.

  20. potatopie says:

Apparently she is trying to replicate AnnE’s pursuit of an Oscar – I seriously doubt Aniston is Oscar worthy. She just isn’t a “great” actress – a one note wonder. But that definitely doesn’t stop her from campaigning for the statue!

  21. Ginger says:

Horrible Bosses was funny but not roll around in the aisles funny. I don’t feel a burning need for a sequel. Jennifer is pretty here but I’m not a fan of the hair being pulled back. I don’t think it’s the best look for her. I prefer the boring but flattering hair down straight for her. I do wish that she would lose the tired, oompa loompa tan look. I don’t hate the dress as much as some others but I have to agree that it does look like a prom dress for a sixteen year old. Love the shoes and the earrings.

  22. vauvert says:

JA never impresses me with anything, whether her looks or style or acting, so this total fail is no surprise. But what is wrong with this collection of usually fine men?? Guys, you all need new haircuts today. And that green tie should be burned. Chris, it looks like you are wearing a pink lipgloss, wipe that off. (I will help with that if required).

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Vauvert, who wrote: “Chris, it looks like you are wearing a pink lipgloss, wipe that off. (I will help with that if required).”

Chris has really pink lips. And second … keep your hands–and everything else–off my husband! 🙂

    • Maya says:

Oh how embarrassing. I forgot to wipe my pink lipstick off my husband Chris’s divine mouth☺️

Sorry ladies – in the future I will make sure that I remove all traces of my naughty time with my husband😜

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

        @ Maya …

        🙂 🙂 🙂

      • vauvert says:

I don’t mind his multiple wives…. Poor darling comes over to relax from all this stressful marriage business, you know. Now that I am done with the Oscar hopeful, happily engaged man I shall not name, and Tom is busy singing the blues, a girl has to stay busy! You ladies don’t mind me:-)

  23. minx says:

In my daughter’s homecoming dance pictures one of her friends had that dress on, in a different color.
    They’re all 15.

  24. Annika says:

    Why so ORANGE? Blechh.
    I do like her shoes.

  25. laprincesita says:

I’ll never understand why she feel the need to change her nose…she was stunning and now her face looks so weird.

  26. Jenns says:

    Very 90s.

  27. Cherie says:

I think she looks cute. And I love the shoes!

  28. GlimmerBunny says:

Where’s the insanely sexy and talented Christoph Waltz? Was he not at the premiere? 🙁

  29. Jayna says:

I used to love her clean lines style, which was reflected in The Break-Up. Here’s some of those styles from the movie. I thought the classic lines suited her. I think she looks budget sometimes these days. And even the casual dresses in those movies had better lines in the bottom half that came down to her knees, and I just loved the classic look of skirts on her with the tailored blouses. I wanted all of the outfits, but loved her looks in that movie. The wardrobe is below. And it gave her better lines to her figure, made her look taller. She looks shorter in the bi-level dress posted at the premiere in the way that dress is cut.

    http://www.featherfactor.com/2014/08/the-break-up-the-wardrobe.html

    • maddelina says:

I agree with you. She is much thinner and I like that weight on her plus her hair doesn’t seem to be so polished. The style of clothes are great on her and something I would wear myself.

  30. moot says:

Why is she dressing like this?? I don’t understand. What’s she trying to put out there? Because my response is yuck yuck yuck.

  31. Sarah says:

But wait – no one is talking about the obvious! First the plaid dress that was “too big around the middle.” Now, this dress with its higher waistline and full skirt. She’s going for pregnancy rumors again, isn’t she? I have no doubt that she would get pregnant with sextuplets if it would get her an Oscar nom.

    1. Whenever someone draws attention to shoes that are covered by a pop-up ad that needs to be clicked on in order to see the shoes, I am suspicious that it is a ploy to increase site revenue.
    2. I fell for it.

  33. QQ says:

Frankly , I don’t know how ya’ll got as far as the shoes cause the Storing Nuts for the Winter Botox face has me too sincerely Mesmerized, like WHY IS NOBODY SAYING HER CHEEKS ARE GROWING WEEK TO WEEK?!??!?!

then I did see at quick glance she is wearing her Junior Prom dress, is nice she still fits it

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@QQ, who wrote: “Frankly , I don’t know how ya’ll got as far as the shoes cause the Storing Nuts for the Winter Botox face has me too sincerely Mesmerized, like WHY IS NOBODY SAYING HER CHEEKS ARE GROWING WEEK TO WEEK?!??!?!”

I’ve been wondering why no one has mentioned how very different she looks now from just a few months ago. It started with the eyes,

      • GoOnGirl! says:

People mention this all the time, but “people” seem to strike down this theory, Aniston’s face is all natural, don’t you know? LOL!

    • Jayna says:

I guess I remember her at this weight in her younger years and she had a bigger face. She’s been heavier the last couple of years when she quit smoking, so I never really thought about whether she is using filler or not. Her arms, legs, shoulders, everything is bigger than she was for years when she was very slender, so I just thought her bigger face went along with the all-over weight gain up a size or so. But maybe she is using filler.

I remember when she was in Marley and Me she put filler in her cheeks.

    • kpoodle says:

That, and her lips move like they are made of rubber. She needs to back off the botox!

  34. Karen says:

Her stylist for this “campaign” should be fired. She is known for her body and this idiot she is paying has made her look childish (this dress and the plaid number), unflattering to her figure (this dress plus the black dress with that red thing sticking out) and her white bow blouse-ugh-she looked so uncomfortable and librarian. So not her style.

Then she had on some grey dress yesterday that looked horrible and too tight. Then to the governor’s ball she wore that white dress that made her arms look big. And she does have great legs but her knees are aging. And her hairstyles-either usual blah hair or dumbo ears. She cannot wear her hair back-she does not have great cheekbones and she had the ear problem.

She looks best in no fuss minimalist styles. All of this is try too hard. Don’t know what she is trying to prove. She was never haute couture nor does she have the height-so these styles actually make her look a bit chunky.

    • GoOnGirl! says:

She is chunky. No shame in admitting. But she has never dressed age appropriate.

    • hunter says:

“And she does have great legs but her knees are aging.”

Thanks for this, most memorable comment today. I will keep an eye on my knees for future signs of aging.

  35. norah says:

the dress is a complete mess and doesnt suit her – and the skirt shows her knees so either the stylist was having an off day or something else.very disappointing lot of clothes –

  36. Penelope says:

The dress is too young for her and out of date to boot. And she should never wear her hair back with those Dumbo ears.

  37. Corinn says:

    I love her entire look.

  38. maddelina says:

Not a fan of the dress. Plus I think Jennifer could lose a few pounds. She’s a gorgeous woman but one that looks better with less weight. Maybe it’s just the angle of the photo. I loved Horrible Bosses. I think they make these movies for fun and if there’s a profit at the end of the day…..bonus. Not every movie is trying to get an award.

  39. Luciana says:

I think she ‘s one of the season award winners not because she will win something (Golden Globes maybe? ) but because we are constantly talking about her buzz. She made herself relevant in a better way than best hair or food/baby belly or upcoming marriage.

  40. Twinkle says:

She looks AWFUL. The dress is unflattering. It makes her look fat. Plus, the bodice is so Madonna in the ’80’s. She’s trying so hard with the stupid posing. I’ve looked at her engagement ring on many many occasions. IT NEVER SPARKLES. It’s the most dead and lifeless stone. If you look at the medium shot of her, those itty bitty diamonds in her bracelet are sparkling and reflecting the light. That big ring looks like a cloudy piece of cheap plastic. It’s cloudy in all the photos f her. My only guesses are that 1) it’s not a diamond. Maybe a moonstone or a bad Quartz, 2) is the crapppiest diamond. Jason paid $1000 for it or he got ripped off BIG TIME.

  41. Anguishedcorn says:

Ever since that last time she wore her hair up and someone pointed out her ears, it’s all I can see.

    EARS!!!!

  42. Janet says:

From the ankles down, she looks nice.

I’ve said before and will say again, that ring looks like it came out of a gumball machine.

  43. Grant says:

I love it. I think she looks smashing. I don’t blame her for wanting to show off her body, because hers is slamming.

  44. paranormalgirl says:

The shoes are nice… don’t care for the frock in the least.

  45. Mean Hannah says:

I think this is the worst she’s ever looked. The dress is awful on its own and it does nothing for her. In fact, it makes a woman known for her body look wide and stumpy.

Her engagement ring is so jarring with her personal style and based on that, I don’t think she and Justin will make it.

  46. Lux says:

Does she have a stylist? Because everything she wears on red carpets are so boring and bland (then again, she’s boring and bland so maybe it fits).

  47. Rena says:

Awful awful dress with bra straps holding up its top half. I think she is trying to be “edgy” in some of her dress choices lately and the effort is falling flat. But it does get her noticed and is probably part of the whole campaign her pricy private award consultant has laid out for her along with screenings and such (the same award consultant Harvey Weinstein fired last year as unethical and disloyal to him who until then only worked for studios not individuals). Her whole quite evident relentless hunger for award recognition this year screams desperation. Not that she is the first to do this but she is the first to lack the backing of a studio or the masters of the award scene the Weinsteins. Kinda wonder if Theroux is pushing her to do this.

That ring is just cheap looking in pictures, no matter how large it is. Other celebs have huge rings but those rings sparkle. This ring is dull, lifeless, no brilliance at all. It looks like a huge hunk of cloudy quartz.

She has a cameo in HB2,and some reviews are very critical of her role. I didn’t like HB so I will bypass the sequel. Don’t know why she doesn’t get more roles in better independent films than Cake if she is seeking award recognition. She could totally bankroll well written small films that are always seeking financing. Instead she goes for roles lately that have her naked or a sexual predator. Unfortunate type casting for a 45 year old actress who has aged out of cutesy rom com roles but who exhibited comedic flair at times in some past films. She completely lacks SandieB’s film smarts.

    • Josephina says:

OR… 10 times out of 10 there are more talented actresses to choose from and they get chosen over her …. time and time again… as we are now going on 20 + years involvement in the film industry and here she is at a premiere, where she has only a cameo appearance of begging a man to take a crap on her for laughs?

Do we really need to dumb ourselves down to make excuses for her silly choices in film roles? What other actress gets coddled this much???

  48. Sara says:

I usually respect her casual style and think it looks good but this is from another realm. Its just terrible IMO.

  49. Sarah says:

People posted an article dedicated to why her hair is always in her face, her hairstylist saying it’s strategic and she works it for photos.

    Gag me with a spoon.

  50. eliza says:

If she is going on a serious Oscar campaign, she will need to start from zero with a new stylist, wardrobe, makeup, hair etc. She has the perfect canvas – body, face, hair- to wear just about anything. As Tim Gunn would suggest, she needs to up the taste factor.

  51. Nimbolicious says:

I just love her and always have; don’t know why. Adore her style, find her movies entertaining enough and I get the vibe that she’s always at least trying to better herself, however imperfectly, as so many of us are. Not sure what her deal is vis-a-vis the media games she seems to play regarding pregnancy, marriage, Brange, whatever. She may well feel conflicted on some or all of those fronts; can’t say I blame her. And major props to her as one hell of a businesswoman — if it were me, I’d certainly feel I’d earned the right to spend a fair amount of time indulging in spa treatments and getting blotto in Cabo.

    • DenisePayne says:

To me, your comment should prove very enlightening. You’re rooting for her to triumph over (whatever it is that you refuse to name but that, as you state clearly, “you don’t blame her.” Heh) To me, as I read your post – what you listed doesn’t seem enough to “love” a family member over, let alone a celebrity former ensemble sit com player trying to still make it in film that you don’t know. She’d trying to ‘better herself,’ (um..aren’t we all) her movies are “entertaining enough” esp ones where she doesn’t carry the load, her style is nice. Nothing superlative, or to admire, yet you “just love her.” Question: would you even be discussing her, let alone “love her,” if you didn’t have a side to take against “what you don’t blame her for?” AKA you know who. I say hellz no.

      • Nimbolicious says:

Hmm. Don’t quite know what to make of your take on my comment, Denise. Perhaps you just need to take it at face value. I have no underlying desire to see JA or anyone else “triumph” at the expense of other people, if that’s what you mean, and I assume you refer to Brange. What I “root for,” as you say, is the overcoming of insecurities and/or inner demons. I guess I’m bewildered as to where you get the idea that I’m taking sides on her behalf, or that one is motivated to expound upon his or her admiration of one celebrity only if there iis some sort of hate for another. And by the way, I don’t have a dog in that fight, if there even is one. Really.

      • DenisePayne says:

I just read between the lines nimbo. You very clearly believe she is operating from a deficient position despite her millionaire status and celebrity – which, as I stated is what her ‘forlorn but one day triumphant,’ image is designed to get you and others like you, to do.

I believe it’s unwarranted and without merit.

You used the word “love,” and I just asked the question, “why?” As you admittedly don’t seem impressed by too much of anything she does except what you “don’t blame her for.” (hmmm….and what is THAT? )

How does that kind of celebrity inspire love? I maintain many like you identify with what they perceive her lot is, in the face of a high profile hollywood love story btwn two charismatic beautiful movie superstars.

Many operate from a position of automatic envy/bitterness over Brangelina which creates support for her. I believe that’s where the bulk of her relevancy and so called ‘fandom’ comes from. These so called fan will never ever admit that however and sometimes go out of their way to pretend a lack of bias, even claiming to also like Brad and Angelina to cover. Right.

  53. Crystal says:

I think she looks great! Her hair looks nice back for once and yes he dress is kind of a throw back but have you seen what the styles are lately? Totally 90s/ 80s throwbacks… I hate how women comment about what is appropriate for her at her “age”- drives me NUTS! Why should she hide her body? What age is it exactly that women need to cover themselves because they are just too old? She’s got a fabulous body. Are these jealousy driven comments or what? Helen Mirren is several decades older than JA and shows major cleavage but people don’t seem to have a problem with that…

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Crystal, who wrote: “Helen Mirren is several decades older than JA and shows major cleavage but people don’t seem to have a problem with that…”

Trust, if Helen Mirren wore this outfit people would have a problem with it. It is simply too young for Jennifer Aniston. It’s something 16-year-olds would wear out to a retro-dance club.

  54. Belugah says:

I would NEVER have believed that dress was Zuhair Murad! What, did she wear the one bad dress he’s done? His stuff is usually stunning!

  55. norah says:

this entire couple of appearances have been one worse than the other – the one with the white blouse now this appearance and the other peplum dress – not impressed at all. She has dressed lots better – dont know what happened to her this time around – she looks chunky more than usual and her face etc keeps changing all the time –

  56. norah says:

actually when dustin and jennifer were sitting together at the graham norton show dustinlooked much better than her how he managed that i still have no idea
