George Clooney has been BFFs with Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford for years. Rande and Cindy have a permanent invite to Lake Como, and they usually vacation with George in Mexico as well. Cindy and Rande have always gotten a front-row seat to George’s lady-friend shenanigans, and you have to think that Rande and Cindy are probably pretty grateful that Clooney’s lady merry-go-round is finally over now that he’s married to Amal Alamuddin-Clooney. But what if Amal doesn’t want to spend all of her free time with Cindy and Rande?! RUH ROH.
GEORGE Clooney’s pal Cindy Crawford is a thorn in the side of new bride Amal, who frets over self-drawn comparisons to the model, as well as the inordinate amount of time he spends with her! Anxious Amal made the actor promise it’s platonic with Cindy ahead of their wedding – and the badgering has not stopped, sources told The ENQUIRER.
“Amal wants to know she’s the only one in George’s life and will be forever,” our insider dished. “Part of it is his notorious life as a bachelor, part of it is how close he is with Cindy and part of it has to do with Cindy Crawford herself. I mean, what woman wouldn’t be at least a little threatened by someone like her?”
I actually think Amal has something to be worried about. I’m not saying that George and Cindy have had or will have some kind of torrid affair, but George has always had a thing for Cindy. He puts her on a pedestal. He dates women that bear a passing resemblance to Cindy. I believe Cindy is George’s idea of an ideal woman. So… yeah, Amal probably doesn’t want to spend a lot of time with Cindy and Rande.
What else? Let’s see… Amal and George were photographed at the airport last week, headed out of and then back into London. No word on where they went. And ITV released some photos from George’s Christmas-special-promotion with Hugh Bonneville. George did something with the cast of Downton Abbey, because he’s apparently a big fan (and he’s buds with Hugh). Last thing: The Enquirer also claims that Amal is fed up with George’s bizarre bedroom habit! What habit? Oh, George likes to snack in bed and he leaves crumbs everywhere. So George has been hiding his treats in the closet. Cough.

Right? Especially since most of them were either total unknowns or very very low on the food chain, so ‘being friends with Cindy Crawford’ was probably a huge perk to them. I would be exhausted. I’m picturing relationships like Amy and Penny in Big Bang Theory.
Yes, exactly! However, they probably knew his past girlfriends would have a shelf life and didn’t take them too seriously for the long haul. Anyway, Cindy Crawford is totally awesome, I really admire her!! Her marriage to Gerber has been very successful and they have beautiful children. YES, she is someone I think that Clooney would set on a pedestal, but NO, I do not think it will ever affect his marriage to Amal. In fact, Amal is also gifted– with brains and a career that serves her well. I’m sure this is stuff of tabloid fodder and it shouldn’t be a problem. Cindy is a bit older in years than Amal, and I think they have a lot to offer one another as friends. Let’s hope both couples can become great buddies, but you never know–there could be a glitch somewhere down the line.

My thoughts exactly. If anything Amal resembles Elisabetta Canalis. Sara Larson’s face was a bit reminiscent of Stacy Kiebler. Lisa Snowdon and Krista Allen might resemble slightly, meaning he has certain types, however none of them look like Cindy Crawford. Way to reach.

Nobody, really. The only thing Cindy and Amal have in common, is their rather manly facial features. Same with Canalis. Keibler and Snowdon are rather round faced, and softer looking, Celine &Sara are petite. I don’t really see a pattern here. I think George fancies Cindy because he can’t have her. He seems to be the type of man who is easily attracted to a woman, but looses interest when he gets her.

There has been a longtime rumor that George is involved with Rande, not Cindy. If that’s the case then I doubt Amal is jealous as she likely knew the situation before she got married.
Nothing supports that. Especially all the times George has gone after Cindy annoying her husband. It’s been said at times it’s brought him close to ending their business relationship.
George has openly, and 1 sided flirted with Cindy for ages. And after a few drinks it gets hard to ignore.

@FLORC I’ve never heard that one, but Rande is well known for being completely unable to keep it in his pants, and its always with pretty young women. My own personal analysis, I have a hard time picturing Cindy being such a bone of contention between the two, especially considering how close George is with Rande. The tequila business, the frequent vacations together, Rande was even the best man at his wedding. Not really indicative of strife within their relationship, especially considering that wife-flirting is a big ass deal in friendships. Just conjecture, but I’ve always figured that George was Cindy’s “freebie” in exchange for dealing with Rande’s wandering song.
I always wondered why the tabloid chose to pit Amal and Angie.. seeing that George is not BFFs with Brad.. never has been.
Now they finally get around to George’s real friends Rande and Cindy. As far as gossip goes this makes more sense in reality.. but..

Any woman silly enough to marry Clooney, with all that known history if you just did a little research especially online, deserves what she gets.
Though I don’t know if the story in this article is true or not, you don’t marry someone like that, especially a man whose heart is in more than one place and that’s been the standard for decades.
Amal must have thought she could change him or that she was that special, but she should have been more realistic.

Their courtship reminds me of Diana and Charles. Clooney takes Amal on a whirlwind courting. Yachts, vacations, and luxury everywhere. They courted, engaged, and married while celebrating the best of times. Not the worst. Not knowing if they can handle eachothers secrets. The worst in eachother.
On the other side Amal is changing George. Or so he’s allowing. Healthy diet. Cut backs on Booze, exercise.

Cindy should be jealous of Mrs. Clooney – she’s young, a fashion plate, and part of Hollywood royalty. Cindy can’t say the same.
A fashion plate? Part of Hollywood royalty? Really? We’ve all seen Amal’s fashion sense when she dresses herself. Tacky, immature and not at all sophisticated. Just because her husband talked Anna Wintour into helping his wife with clothes doesn’t mean she’s a fashion plate. Her personal style is atrocious! And just because she married some actor doesn’t make her Hollywood royalty. She contributes nothing to Hollywood.
Cindy doesn’t seem like the type to be jealous of anyone, although I’ve never met her. She always comes across as calm, centered and content.
Per the interviews I’ve seen of Cindy, I would agree.
I met a guy who works as Clooney’s assistant in the UK and he says while George is very nice (and not really gay!) Amal is overwhelmingly anxious and controlling. I definitely believe this story!

I eat in my bed every night and that is one habit I wouldn’t change for everyone ( instead I changed my husband so know he is a bed eater too).
I don’t think Amal has anything to sorry about, Cindy used to be extremly beautiful but that was many plastic surgeries ago. Amal is young, beautiful, and have an interesting job. As a man, our a woman, I would find that very intriguing.
By the way, eating in bed isn’t the greatest with me either…..fun to do, but not worth the messy mess and definitely you don’t want grease or food stains on your beautiful nice bedding….unless, of course, you have a maid who sends everything out the next day for cleaning or replaces with all new bedding!!

I remember reading this online. It wasn’t eating in bed, but George has difficulty sleeping.
CLOONEY CAN’T SLEEP
The actor/director says that he’s in bed by 10:00 p.m. almost every night, though wakes up often throughout the night and requires the flickering of the TV in order to doze off. “Turning off the television causes me to think, and once I start that vision roaring, I have a very tough time getting to sleep,” he admits. “I’m able to numb out,” he says, though even with the TV on, “Without question, I wake every night five times.”
It is hard to sleep with someone ,when they are up every five minutes and they need the flickering of the tv, especially if you are not use to falling asleep with the tv on.
It looks like George grinds his teeth as well. He probably has some anxiety issues and should get treatment…also could be the back pain.
I’d believe Clooney is in love with Cindy based purely on their resemblance together in sunglasses shot.
Maybe others have commented on this but that pic of george and cindy is crazy fake…they are not sitting beside each other….
