Emma Roberts & Evan Peters are ‘constantly making out or fighting’ on set

Emma Roberts

I keep saying Emma Roberts and Evan Peters are a disaster in the making. Anyone who’s paid attention knows this relationship is bad news. Emma and Evan are dramatically engaged. They live together and work together on the set of American Horror Story. These two allegedly set aside their differences after Emma was arrested for domestic violence in 2013. They also endured an explosive fight at this summer’s Comic-Con. With both fights, Emma was said to be the aggressor.

This week’s issue of OK! magazine says Emma and Evan have continued their squabbling in front of the AHS cast and crew. They argue, and they make up, and they make out in front of everyone. It’s pretty gross, apparently. Here are the details:

The cast and crew of American Horror Story aren’t easy to shock, but Emma Roberts and Evan Peters are trying their best! Sources say engaged stars Emma, 23, and Evan, 27, are constantly kissing or fighting — and it’s driving their castmates crazy.

“Basically, as soon as the director yells “Cut,” Emma and Evan are making out,” says a source. “That is, if they’re not screaming at each other.”

Well, at least they don’t lack passion: Last year, Emma was arrested in Montreal after she allegedly attacked Evan in a hotel room. How romantic!

[From OK!, print edition, December 12, 2014]

I don’t mean to minimize the domestic violence aspect of this coupling because — for real — it is an important fact. But the over-the-top PDA is really bizarre, right? Holding hands in public is totally cool. Smooching during the initial courtship phase is understandable. But full on “making out” in public, two years in a relationship? Very high school. I will never understand the desire to publicly kiss and grope as adults. It feels like overcompensation. Someone needs to prove something to everyone else. Emma’s PR once said she and Evan are “passionate and extreme.” I still say they’re trouble.

Related: Emma’s career has hit a stride since turning to television. Hollywood Reporter says Emma signed on to Ryan Murphy’s new Scream Queens series along with Jamie Lee Curtis. Emma plays a university student, and the series will be an anthology in the manner of AHS. Should be appropriately weird.

Poor Evan. He is so adorable..

  2. Mzizkrizten says:

    Love that dress!

  3. NewWester says:

She is looking more and more like her Aunt Julia. This relationship is very troubling, someone will end up hurt badly or in prison

  4. Emma is a shit actress. The only way she’ll ever stay on these shows is if they keep giving her variations of the same character (which IS her)—a spoiled, narcissistic, prom queen who thinks she’s the bestest and prettiest girl in the world. Which was her character in Coven.

And she is lucky that she’s young and cute, because if she wasn’t, she’d still be raked over the coals for abusing her boyfriend in public.

    • Kiddo says:

Meh. I kind of like her character on Freaks. It may be the same recycled role, but so is Lange’s. Emma is much more interesting and pretty in action/movement than she is in photos. That doesn’t make her a good or nice person, but she isn’t the worst actress I’ve ever seen.

      • I grew up watching her on Nickelodeon–Unfabulous (I think is what the show was called)…..yeah. Even then, I remember what a big deal it was made out to be that her aunt was Julia Roberts. So I’ve been a hater for a LONG time.

      • Kiddo says:

Oh, that’s okay. No one has to like anyone. I’m sure she came up through nepotism. When I watched her on AHS, I guess I was expecting much worse, based on the haterade here.

      • Bridget says:

She’d be in the Lily Collins bin (pretty, had a shot at a few movies because of her connections but didn’t find any real success) if Aunt Julia hadn’t hooked her up with Ryan Murphy, who very clearly likes her. Its no shock that she’s decent in AHS considering he wrote this last part specifically for her. But is it just me, or does Murphy like bitchy women? See Michele, Lea for a prime example.

      • Josefa says:

I think Emma’s a pretty decent actress, and not just in Coven. I watched that awful creepy movie she did with James Franco the other day, and she was very good.

She seems to be incredibly immature irl, though.

      • CK says:

@Virgilia I just had unfabulous flashbacks. It’s required watching for Emma/Julia Haters 101. Remember how they tried to pass her off as a “talented” singer who could play the acoustic guitar?

    • SamiHami says:

I just finished watching Coven and thought she was really great as Madison. But the entire time I was wondering how much of that was acting versus her true personality. The only other thing I’ve seen her in was “We’re The Millers,” which was good, but not enough to judge her talent by. I’ll be interested in seeing how she does in Freakshow; I’ll probably start watching that this weekend.

    • FLORC says:

      VC
      Yes to everything!
She’s an awful actress and Coven was her playing herself. They couldn’t have tailor made that character to fit her any better.
Freak Show having Emma and no Taissa was a mistake. (Lily Rabe too.( I believe there’s something between Evan and Taissa more than the actually couple of Evan and Emma. Weak link being Emma.

I loved the last 3 seasons of AHS, but Freak Show is a tough watch. And these clips of them dying and then not really being dead? Ugh. Season 1 did that right.
I thought Lange’s last season would be better.

      • Kiddo says:

these clips of them dying and then not really being dead

LMAO. So true, and by the time they really die, you don;t care so much.

      • SamiHami says:

No Taissa in Freakshow? πŸ™ What a bummer. I really like her.

  5. Mia4S says:

Well it’s good if she has her own series. Get some distance!!

And that “how romantic!” from OK magazine better be sarcastic. There’s nothing romantic about a domestic violence arrest.

  6. tifzlan says:

Everytime she is on screen on AHS, I roll my eyes. She cannot act – at all! She’s also very annoying to me.

    • Valerie says:

Totally agree, the girl cannot act. Plus I’d say Evan is a great actor, so those two as a couple were baffling to me, even before the report of domestic violence. Not a healthy relationship and I hope Evan wakes up at some point.

    • FLORC says:

Her character this season is pretty bad too. Or maybe it is her acting.

  7. Izzy says:

Aw, look at her trying to out-leg La Jolie. Nice try. Bless her narcissistic, domestic abusive little heart.

    • deftie says:

As if Jolie was the first person ever to show the leg. It is like someone had ponytail and everyone would say “she copies Ariana Whatshername”. The fact media noticed the thing with them does not mean that everyone who did it copies.

  8. amanda says:

this tolerating of behavior will end when one of them meets somebody new and realizes that this isn’t what love is supposed to be like.

When I read blips about them, I see my past relationship. When I was finally out, I looked back at what I thought so surely was ‘true love’ and seeing the fighting and stress ‘part of love’, but really, that’s bullsh*t.

  9. scout says:

She is beautiful and a good actress too but girl has some emo problems, need to get some therapy asap. Hope she does, don’t need another Lindsay Lohan on our hand to worry about.

  10. Missskitttin says:

Super crushing on Evan Peters ever since AHS Season 1. Cutest ever.

  11. Talie says:

Camille Paglia was ridiculed for saying that DV couples tend to stick together because of the passion and sex.

  12. msw says:

I’ve been in a relationship like that (no violence, but we could get mean). We were really young, and we matured, got married, had kids. We used to fight every day and we were so in love, it was wonderful when we weren’t fighting. But it was exhausting and confusing. And probably obnoxious to everyone else. Thankfully, we eventually broke up, grew up and learned to manage our emotions and our problems better. We got back together after the wake up call that it wasnt worth it to live that way, no matter how good we were when it was good. We almost never fight now, and haven’t for years. So there is hope there, I think (i never give up on people growing up) but both people have to be willing to grow and change, and in the same direction, which seems kind of rare. Im glad to be with my husband, but I wouldn’t go back to the way things were then. It isn’t normal and it isn’t OK.

  13. lucy2 says:

They both sound like immature drama queens, and it’s very worrisome that their “passion” can turn violent.

  14. Seapharris7 says:

I feel neither way for them as far as their careers or whatnot, but I think once you’ve crossed that line into physical violence – you need to just end that relationship. Sure, I’ll bet they both grow up & out of this drama, but not together.

  15. kri says:

She is insufferable and a bad actress. He is amazingly talented. I hope he wakes up and walks out.

  16. Patricia says:

He can do soooo much better than this wooden acting little brat.

  17. FLORC says:

Murphy should have put a stop to this early on and not had her back for Freak Show. Maybe Bringing Emma to the other show will seperate the couple.
Ugh. She’s just no good. Poor Evan.

  18. Madpoe says:

To my fellow Aqua brother; what the flipping flap jack is wrong with u?
I don’t see the intrigue you have with Emma.
