That Mad Max trailer is how I imagine daily life is like in Australia.

    • mimif says:

Staring Scott Rudin and Amy Pascal.

      • Max says:

Australia’s not all deserts and dust. There’s plenty of water and some great cities that are as good to live in as any of the “top” cities in the world.

I like Tom Hardy but he always does these machismo roles. I want to see him do something different.

      • @Max
Did you see him in ‘Lawless’? While his character was tough, and ‘manly’–I loved how he described Forrest…he said there was an old woman trapped inside of him. He had to take care of his older brother who had come back damaged from WWI, and had to toughen up his younger brother, so he could survive and stand on his own two feet.

And the scene with Maggie made me cry–just the expression on his face when he realized that the men who cut his throat open had gang raped Maggie. He is a very tender character–especially when he would watch Maggie, but wouldn’t go near her. She had to initiate it.

Yep driving on the metropolitan ring road in melbourne gets pretty hairy at times 🙂

Looks like a movie to see on the big screen. The previous trailer was a shambolic mess. This one is edited much tighter. The studio must be worried.

  2. Nemesis says:

Must see this!!! Looks like it’s going to be as good or better than the originals. Either that or I’m going to be majorly disappointed.

  3. What? says:

I thought Mad Max trailer was pretty awesome!

  4. Kitten says:

    The Bloke! Looks awesome.

    • Charlie says:

I’m looking forward to Hoult, Hardy doesn’t do it for me. Too pretty. And his lips are too big.
I never saw the original Mad Max ( it came out 14 years before I was born). Should I watch it? Is it good?

      • mimif says:

Um, yes, you need to watch it (them) immediately and report back when you do. Mel Gibson is a turd but he was damn fine in the OG Mad Max.

      • Franciss says:

Listen to mimif. Totally worth the watch.
And Beyond Thunderdome is a celebration of all that is Tina Turner.

  5. Charlie says:

All this time we thought Tyalor was a beard for all those guys, but maybe they were a beard for her!
I don’t actually believe it, but it would be a nice spin, no?

    • InvaderTak says:

Eh on the whole issue and I’m eh on the whole site. I don’t think ts and mh are any kind of a thing anyway. They exchanged numbers maybe. Big deal. I think it’s embellishment for click bait.

  6. Rosie says:

Wow – I’ve not been paying attention to the movie much, but now it’s a must-see. I did not recognise Nicholas Hoult. Fab.

  7. Sea Dragon says:

I love Tom Hardy’s face even when he’s all scruffy and sweaty.

  8. Coco says:

    Tom Hardy! <3

  9. kri says:

Wow. I love Tom Hardy & The Batch so this is a year of gifts from two of my faves. Tom Hardy is completely capable of gutting you with his performances and I hope I he continues his amazing work. He’s perfection.

  10. InvaderTak says:

This is the one Charlize (bad spelling sorry) shaved her head for isn’t it? I can’t watch as I’m on mobile. She looked bad a$$. Now I have to rewatch the whole series!

  11. Fatty Magoo says:

Well it’s about damn time, I’ve been waiting for years for this movie to come out lol I didn’t watch the trailer though lol I don’t like to watch trailers to movies I know I’m going to watch lol I like the whole movie to be new to me, if that makes any sense lol

  12. PixieWitch says:

that trailer is an assault to my eyes, in a good way.

  13. Mash says:

All I see is California Love by Tupac and Dre.

  14. Kate says:

Main story on Yahoo. Beverly Johnson is coming forward about her dealings with Bill Cosby. I completely believe her. For those people that say the other women are just doing it for money (which I don’t believe, I think Cosby is a sick a**hole). Here is someone accusing him that definitely dosen’t need it.

  15. Jag says:

Really hate the music for the trailer. It made it seem like a comedy, rather than exciting for some reason. Guess it’ll be a Netflix movie at best for me.

  16. babyb says:

it’s comforting to know that even in the post-apocaliptic future there’ll be short shorts available….

  17. k says:

was mila quoted out of context, or am i reading out of context? i find it really weird that she is saying she was lucky to be able to take time off work to raise her baby. but the baby is only 6 weeks old? so is the past tense just a mistake, or is she speaking in future tense presently? seriously not being bitchy, y’all…just really confused.

  18. COSquared says:

Mmm. The Oscar case is heading the Appeals Court in Bloemfontein. Crossing fingers for the NPA & Gerrie.

  19. RuddyZooKeeper says:

If you want to see Hardy in a “non-macho” role, find “Stewart – A Life Backward.” Cumberbatch stars in it too. Bawled like a freaking baby. It broke my heart. His range is so much more than muscles & action. I wish he’d do more like “Stewart.”
