I’ve been! It’s AMAZING. But go in the summer; the winters are mainly rain and wind and darkness.
My husband and I got married at that waterfall in Thingvellir by a Asatru priest who looked just like Santa Claus. Oh, and the natural hot springs there has white silica mud which makes the water appear so turquoise-y. It’s a magical place.
I loved seeing the photos of them in Iceland. Looks like fun.
