Justin Bieber on his future: ‘I want to share my creativity with the world’

swaggyvmag

Have you recovered yet from Justin Bieber’s swaggy Calvin Klein campaign yet? He has a new shoot with V magazine that carries the same shirtless, squinty aesthetic, minus the visible Calvins (thank god). Karl Lagerfeld pushed the camera button, which isn’t a terribly important fact. What is slightly relevant is the difference in the level of photoshopping. Everyone (even Mark Wahlberg’s wife, Rhea Dunham) is commenting on the level of “retouching” in the Calvin Klein photos. I cropped this V mag image, but you can see the whole shoot here. Do you notice a difference between the two sets? TMZ says CK photoshopped in some hair to make Bieber look more manly. Yes, there’s a more exaggerated “trail” in the CK pictures. Their demographic must be so grateful.

Swaggy’s getting serious about filling out his bod more. His personal trainer spoke to Hollywood Life about how we can expect 15 more swaggy pounds of muscle soon. Bieber wants to get really ripped. Maybe it will help him stop wiping out on his skateboard? Probably not. Here are some excerpts from the V mag interview:

He has dreams, yo: “I’m still young. I still have so many personal and professional goals I want to achieve. I want to keep creating music for my fans. One day I hope to make strides into movies and fashion as well. I want to share my creativity with the world.”

Bieber hearts the internet: “The Internet has been a huge part of my career. I was discovered on YouTube. I use Twitter, Instagram, Shots and Fahlo to communicate with my fans on a daily basis. Things would be totally different without it. I definitely wouldn’t be able to have the personal relationship I have with my fans without social media.”

[From V magazine]

Aww, he wants to share his creativity. Is that a threat or a promise? Bieber’s been full of himself for years and warned us that his career is only beginning. Can he survive for decades in pop music? I don’t think he has true lasting power. The CK campaign feels like a nefarious attempt (thanks, Scooter Braun) to aim for an older fanbase. Bieber needs to hustle for some new fans. He’s still raking cash, but in a few years, his fans will be so embarrassed to have ever owned his CDs.

Here are some photos of a shy Swaggy on Wednesday in Beverly Hills.

    Thanks but no thanks

  3. Sixer says:

    I feel threatened.

  4. Brin says:

    World: “Pass”

  5. fan of angie says:

    NO!! Please don’t!!

  6. NewWester says:

Every article of Beiber should include the photo of his bodyguard lifting Justin up to put him in his car seat. That is classic! Did anyone at Calvin Klein get a chance to see that photo before hiring him to be a model ?

  7. LadyMTL says:

I just can’t stop laughing at the fact that CK had to ‘shop abs and body hair onto the guy. Even when he’s trying to be all grown up and “masculine” he still can’t do it without digital help, lololol.

  8. cr says:

Apparently this is an alternate universe world where he has creativity?

  9. Izzy says:

Well, the rest of the world would like you to fade into oblivion. Please oblige us.

  10. scout says:

What were you doing so far, son? I think we got enough of that already, now you can retire happily.

  11. Kaye says:

Great. Please go away and grow up first.

  12. jen says:

    You can’t photoshop real talent

  13. Lake Mom says:

The world has enough problems without his creativity. Peeing in a bucket…genius. *eye roll*

  14. Tiffany says:

Rhea was not wrong. Those photos are the sexiest Marky Mark ever was.

  15. Jayna says:

Well, he is creative. He stuck a nice, big sock in his Calvin Kleins for the photoshoot. Lol

  16. swack says:

    Kanye Jr. in the making.

  17. maeliz says:

No thanks, kid. I’m not embarrassed to have had New Kids On the Block music, but I’d never in a trillion years have his. He looks homeless wearing the camo shirt and do o dope hat. What a dope head.

  18. Skins says:

The only people interested in his “creativity” are 12 year old girls

    • Caz says:

And even they grow up. Bieber’s future is that of Speidi et al, featuring on “whatever happened to…?” In 10 years time. When he’s gone through all his money.

  19. Corey says:

He can’t seem to say or do anything right. People have had enough. He needs to disappear for 2 or 3 years, get the douchiness out of his system in private and then come back. Unfortunately there are too many people around him who arent going to let that happen. To see someone with the kind of success and opportunities people would kill for and see it thrown away like that…its just such a shame

  20. Dibba says:

    No thanks, I’m good.

  21. ang says:

If he’s so creative then why does he always have the same stupid expression on his face…

  22. Lucy says:

Barf. Keep it to yourself, kid.

  23. lucy2 says:

“I want to share my creativity with the world” to which the world wrinkles its nose and says “keep it to yourself”.
It seems like, at least in the music profession, he’s already washed up. This is not some musical genius or important talent we’re talking about, he was a pop culture thing for a bit, and his fans are outgrowing him. It would take a reinvention on a massive scale for him to have future success.

  24. Lara K says:

    Poor kid! So delusional!

The industry is not kind to successful kids – you take some average kid who can sing, give them early fame and loads of money, and watch them self destruct.

He might still pull a Britney, but I doubt it. The thing is, he has talent somewhere beneath the douchery, and he could be decent looking. But the amount of sh!t this guy generates is just overwhelming. Sad.

    • Josefa says:

Britney always struck me as someone misguided who simply didn’t have a clue about what was happening in her life. She did bad things, but she’s always struck me as someone mentally ill. With Bieber I see a truly vile, ignorant, uneducated, immature, dumb douchebag.

I avoid this word even with people who have harmed me – but I truly hate this guy. He’s literally the embodiment of every single quality I hate on a person.

      • Emily C. says:

        +1

He’s completely self-absorbed and sees other people, especially women, as playthings.

  25. kri says:

Put it away, we don’t want it.

  26. Josefa says:

Will his fans ever grow up? His fans are all he has, really. Everyone outside of his fanbase would rather have him be thrown into outer space and not come back. These girls eventually have to notice how insufferable this dude really is, right?

I don’t even mind his music or lack of talent. 1D aren’t the Beatles of this gen, but they seem like humble and harmless guys who are enjoying their success while putting it to good use. This guy is just so gross and repulsive.

  27. Anony says:

Ugh that top photo he looks like Jayden smith…and just…everything about him ugh. I just cannot find anything sexually appealing about him at all. He just seems like such a scrawny little douche and I imagine him being horrible in bed too.

  28. Ben says:

He thinks his career is not ending just because he’s young. That’s not how show business works honey, I think you’re done.

  29. Caz says:

Please put Bieber on the one-way Mars flight. Signed, a lot of people.

  30. Lene says:

He wants to share creativity … that´s cute! Now back to people who are really talented …

  31. Anne tommy says:

It’s not just his creativity that is sadly lacking. Poll on Us mag website: whose undie shots are sexier, Marky Mark or Justin? MM just slightly in the lead with 92 percent…

  32. Rubber Ducky says:

    Dope indeed. 😀
