I think I saved the most controversial for one of the last fashion posts of the day. Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad. Her hair was big and fluffy. Her gown was the largest on the red carpet. Her boobs were hanging out. The slit was cut to her biscuit. There was some kind of built-in cape/sleeve drama. She was dripping in diamonds. And you know what? I kind of loved it. I loved how EXTRA she was. I love that she wanted to have fun. I love that she came with her costar as her date (Ryan Guzman). I love that Jennifer never thinks “less is more.” Nope. More is always more. And J.Lo always does more.
I’m sorry, but Kerry Washington was such a disappointment. I think she lost her fashion mojo when she wore Marchesa a few years ago and she’s never gotten it back. This shiny Mary Katrantzou was too stiff and weird. The skirt was bad. The colorblocking (or whatever that is) is terrible.
Felicity Jones in Dior. The only other person to wear Dior last night was Amal Clooney. I wonder if there was a mix-up at Dior? Anyway, I didn’t like this on the red carpet, in motion, but in photos… I sort of get it. I think it’s too conservative and stuffy for such a young woman though.

I loved JLo – she looked like my first Barbie – which was called My Golden Dream and came with gold wedges and a cape. It was so over the top, but in a very JLo way. The only think I didn’t like was whatever was poking her left breast the entire time. No one pointed that out to her?
I found that distracting when she presented. It looked like the edge of a built in underwire.
JLO is so stunning, but it is a bit try too hard.

Jennifer is dressed for an old movie ….cocktails on the beach at sunset or sunset on the desert outside of an elegant tent. You never notice the jewels …..once was a shock maybe twice but always naked….boring.
I feel like J.Lo is our (my) generation’s Joan Collins. She is going to work that schtick til her last breath, and probably look pretty damn good doing it.

In case you didn’t notice, this is a post about people’s opinions on what celebrities are wearing. I just don’t get you little fan girls who can’t take it when somebody says something negative about your obsession. Yes, she always looks the same. Big hair or slicked back, tight, dated dress, boobs hanging out, legs hanging out. She is a beautiful woman. She could do better. In my opinion, which I’m entitled to.
Well the only thing she has gone for is the “I am the hottest woman evah” and she won’t quit, no matter how ridiculous she looks. We get it, you work hard, diet, drink smoothies (or whatever the hell she is selling) and you need to show it all every. single. time. Boring. Too much hair teasing, too many hair pieces, too much fake tan, too much cleavage, too much crotch flashing. Ugh.

I wanted to slap Kerry Washington upside the head when I saw that color-blocked mess. Actually the dress wouldn’t be bad at all if it was all one color. But that second color totally ruined it.
I’ve said before and will say again — whoever dresses Olivia Pope should dress Kerry Washington. She should borrow one of her Scandal outfits for the red carpet. She’s got lousy fashion sense.
She really does have bad fashion sense, I don’t understand. Maybe that’s her way of standing out??? But that is a good idea to have the stylist from Scandal dress her for these things. Or she should hire the woman who dresses Lupita and that woman from Downton Abbey. That way she could ocassionally wear something fug but mainly would hit it out of the park.

I looked at a website that had 97 pics from the red carpet. I was saying no, no, no, horrible, more horrible, worst, no, no,…. I swear–97% or the dresses were terrible or worse. I’ve never seen such a consistently bad night for ladies wear. Maybe 5 dresses were tolerable. The yellows stood out as okay, a couple of the reds, though why anyone would want their dress to blend right into the red carpet, I do not know. Terrible night. Absolutely no one looked fantastic. No one.
Amy Adams dress was not an impressive color but it fit her nicely and was…somewhat better than the rest, a little….
Amal Clooney–Dracula Edition–Those eyebrows, those ill fitting gloves….the miles of black….hair….fabric. Hideous.
I thought Emma Stone looked adorable. Hair and makeup was radiant. If you lost the bow or whatever that length of material hanging down the side was, then her outfit was cute. A little causal for the GG’s, but cute nevertheless.

I hated J-lo last night. The hair, the makeup and the gown were overkill in every way.
It kind of seemed like no one was really impressed with J-Lo’s dress (including Jeremy Renner who made the “globes” crack), which I don’t think is the reaction she was going for.
I didn’t kind of laugh at what she said to Billy Bob Thornton when he seemed to be trying to figure out what to do with the microphone. What she said was so matter-of-fact and not kiss-up-like….

I love J.Lo’s style- and I like the fact that she doesn’t feel the need to cover up and dress modestly just because she’s not 25 anymore. She’s still gorgeous. This isn’t one of my favorite looks of hers, but I still like it. This is who she is- why should she put it away and suddenly dress demurely just because she’s not young? Don’t tone it down!

I thought Jennifer Lopez looked great. The beauty of the gown was seeing her walk on the red carpet with the whole back flowing the way it was, very old glamour as far as the whole look of the back, even if not the front.
But I feel for the girl. I finally saw Ben Affleck’s side/frontal nude scene in slow mo. Ben is quite gifted. And she ended up with Casper.

I HATE that dress on JLO, it screams “pay attention to me”, which is what she wants, but it’s for all the wrong reasons. Overtanned (she is SO ORANGE, needs to lay off the spray tan!!). , overboobed (she has never learned that restraint is sexier than pouring out of clothes), just OVERKILL. I think it’s going to be SO FUN watching JLO inch towards 50. She will be entering Madonna territory, another gal who has to be sexy ALL THE TIME and aging will hit hard.
