As we discussed on Sunday, Cressida Bonas came out to LA for the Globes weekend events, because she’s an ACTRESS now. Well, she’s a dancer/actress/model/ex-girlfriend of a prince. She scored a small part in the film Tulip Fever, plus she’s one of the new models for Murberry, complete with a “short film” featuring Cressy’s dance moves. And somehow, that was enough for Cressida to score an invite to the BAFTA LA event on Saturday night AND the Weinstein post-Globes party. Interestingly enough, Cressida wore the same Mulberry dress to both events! She wore the white dress Saturday night and the black version on Sunday. Girl, you know Mulberry makes more than that one dress, right?

And did you know Cressida is allowed to speak now? That’s a sure sign that nothing is going to happen with Prince Harry again – if Cressida is giving interviews, she’s no longer allowed to have anything to do with a prince. Cressida spoke to Yahoo Style while at the Chateau Marmont (hm) – you can read the full piece here. Some highlights:

Her nickname: “My friends call me Cressy… Growing up, I hated the name “Cressida” because I’d never met anyone else with the name. I still get excited whenever I meet someone, or even hear about someone, named Cressida.

Majoring in dance: “Yes, I went to The University of Leeds to study dance, and then I went to [Trinity] Laban [a music and dance conservatory] in Greenwich to get a diploma in dance… my specialty is contemporary. I was at the Royal Ballet School of London when I was nine. I studied there for three years, and I realized that wasn’t for me. I also wanted to pursue drama and music, so I left the ballet. And contemporary was more of a free style.

Shilling for Mulberry: “You know, the Mulberry dresses I get to wear in the film were some of my favorite things. If I lived here in LA, I would wear them all the time, but in London, it gets so cold that I’ll have to save them for summer. But those are the Mulberry pieces that I really, really see myself wearing! I really like dresses that are free and simple. And most of them are long, which I love. With a long dress, you can really dress it up or you can dress it down, which is something that I think is important. I love that.

Tips for dance party makeup: “Really? I would say, don’t wear makeup. Really. Don’t wear it. Just be yourself.”

Being in LA: “Well, I’m only here for the weekend! I’m going to the BAFTA party tomorrow and I’m hoping to get some sunshine, but I think that’s it. It’s a short visit, and then I’m back to London. But hopefully—hopefully!—I’l have reasons to come back to Los Angeles soon. Then I can stay for a good long time.”

She seems perfectly pleasant. She sounds like she’s finally pursuing a path that makes her happy: trying to break into the film/modeling/celebrity world. This after a brief flirtation with royal life… the celebrity thing must seem like so much fun. Less rules. Less judgment. Do you think Cressida will ever be, like, a major star? I doubt it. She’s basically starting her celebrity career at the age of 25, but I could see her getting more modeling gigs and some roles in British films and TV projects, then parlaying that into a Fashion Girl status where she just gets to show up somewhere and people take photos of her. Then she’ll parlay that into a decent marriage with some artsy bohemian type with family money. Done.
