Joanna Krupa sues Brandi Glanville for slander, libel for insulting her lady parts

wenn21911395

In 2013, Brandi Glanville made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. She brought the drama, as always. She was asked specifically about some insidery rumors involving Real Housewife Yolanda Foster and her ex-husband Mohamed Hadid and who Hadid maybe slept with. Brandi claimed that Hadid had slept with Real Housewife Joanna Krupa and that, in Brandi’s words, “Mohamed did tell me that her p-ssy smelled.” The whole thing became rather epic, with Joanna Krupa, Yolanda Foster and Mohamed Hadid all chiming in. Brandi even dragged Lisa Vanderpump into it because she claimed Lisa was there when Hadid said that.

Then, back in October of last year, Brandi made another appearance on WWHL and once again she got some Joanna Krupa questions. Brandi went even harder, making some “bad sushi” jokes that didn’t really come across as mature. Well, long story short… Joanna Krupa is now suing Brandi for slander, libel, defamation and “intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

Smells like Real Housewives trouble! In a letter exclusively obtained by ‘Life & Style,’ attorneys for ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ star Joanna Krupa inform Beverly Hills Housewife Brandi Glanville that she will be sued in a Florida court for “slander, libel, defamation and/or intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

What exactly did Brandi do? On a 2013 episode of Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ she told Andy Cohen that Joanna slept with Yolanda Foster’s now ex-husband Mohamed Hadid — and that Mohamed said her, um, “p—- smelled.”

Joanna denies both claims, and says Brandi knew they were false. “She doesn’t even know me!” the reality star tells the new issue of ‘Life & Style.’ Brandi’s comments “have humiliated and harmed Joanna,” an insider adds.

“Joanna hired heavyweight lawyer Ray Rafool to sue,” the insider explains, “because enough is enough.”

[From Life & Style]

While I think Brandi was really WAY beyond rude with her comments about Krupa, I kind of think this is a terrible move for Krupa. I mean, if Krupa is just aiming for a quick settlement and an apology, okay, maybe she’ll get that. But if Brandi wants to fight this to the bitter end, you know what’s going to happen? Endless depositions and witnesses called in to speak about the stank (or lack thereof) of Joanna Krupa’s lady parts. Krupa’s vadge is going to be put on trial!

Okay, who are those people and why does this sound like frivolous law suit?

    • Birdix says:

Frivolous lawsuit to make headlines. This is not why judges study the law. And to borrow some grandiosity from [insert today’s least favorite narcissistic celebrity here], as a parent of young girls, this makes me depressed about the society they are growing up in.

      • Krista says:

I get the giggles just thinking about what this would look like if it went to trial. I’m picturing stuffy lawyers saying the P word and then cross examining Brandi about her sushi comparison.

  2. aims says:

This can drag on for years and will be very expensive. Can you imagine if it goes to trial?

To have to prove your vadge is on point, is beyond funny.

    • Steamin' Sam says:

I tend to think not so much funny as pathetic. (Supposedly) grown-*ss women acting this way. This is some junior-high school nonsense, made even worse by the fact that it’s playing out in full view of the public.

      • aims says:

It’s funny because it’s absurd . To be put in that position is ridiculous.

      • Mary Mary says:

Joanne was humiliated and verbally attacked on nation-wide television which is viewed in thousand of homes across the country. It wasn’t just the humiliating comments regarding personal hygiene, but comments about having an affair with a married man.

This is the second instance that Brandi publicly broadcast someone’s private matters on nation-wide television. Brandi was also threatened a year ago with a lawsuit, which she admitted cost her ten thousand dollars in attorney fees.

Brandi has admitted the attorney fees should be money set aside for her sons’ college education. If that is the case, perhaps she should practice more discretion so her comments don’t cost her attorney fees.

There needs to be accountability, when people feel it is their right to reveal private matters publicly (which is no one’s business really) that damage someone’s reputation and then think an apology of saying “I’m sorry” in private, makes the damage done in public go away.

This lawsuit needs to be filed. Brandi needs to be sent a message (once again) that her continued pattern of public humiliation and irresponsible, comments of others, are not only hurtful, but those comments can have lasting damage to one’s image and work reputation.

    • claire says:

Seriously. And if all the Housewives from all the shows sued each other for throwing shade at one another, they could start a whole new series in the court room. Joanna threw shade first, Brandi threw it back. This is a dumb lawsuit.

      • Christin says:

They need a Judge Judy type show to handle all the disgruntled Housewives’ civil suits. Could be Andy’s next franchise extension.

I think this is just for publicity.

      • anne_000 says:

Apparently Real Housewives of Miami has been cancelled or put off for however long. I guess Krupa is thirsty….

Krupa was the mean girl of RHOM. She’s a try-hard, getting herself photographed as much as possible and now that RHOM isn’t on air anymore, I guess this is her next ‘career move.’

The thing is, there’s gossip about Krupa’s past…. and how she got around in social circles like Mohammed’s…. *cough*…..

Is Krupa really that desperate? A court case about the smell of her vagina and possibly to bring up rumors about her past? Especially since she just got married about 1 or 2 years ago and should be spending her time being a newlywed and not bringing publicity to the small of her genitals….

If Mohammed really said this and Lisa V. was there, neither of them are going to confirm it in court because it’s easier just to deny it. If they confirm what was said, then they’d be dragged into more depositions and court time. If I were Mohammed, I’d be angry at both Brandi & Krupa. The former for telling tales out of school and the latter for expanding this notoriety.

      • Charlie says:

I would love to be on the jury, line em up Joann, many men would love to tell the real story about you. LOL.

    • Debi says:

I think it’s more brandi lying. If Mohamed would back her up & say he never did then well… I DON’T believe Mohamed said that. He doesn’t seem like the type and also denied it. I notice a lot accuses brandi of lying & I think she’s lying about this. I think the letter is to tell brandi to not speak Joanna’s name and I’d probably do the same.

      • Someonestolemyname says:

Can’t stand Brandi, sometimes I think she blurts things out just out of insecurity. I also stopped watching Miami HW years ago.
Too much fighting on those shows.

  3. David says:

    Hope she wins.

    • Carol says:

      Me too!!!

    • Charlie says:

Makes Joann look so dumb, can you imagine your gf going to court if her ex boyfriend said the same thing about her. This will be laughed at for years among lawyers. Her lawyer must be broke to even take this case. Um, Joann, get a job. imo

  4. Lindy79 says:

Any paperwork that has the term “p**sy smelled” instantly declares this to be the classiest lawsuit that has ever or will ever exist.

  5. SmellyCat says:

Joanna’s just trying to make sure no one forgets about the Tuna!! ~allegedly~

  6. Little Darling says:

Woah, the housewives and Watch What Happens are basically parade floats for slander and libel. That’s what these shows produce, one slanderous comment after another. Imagine if every half baked (but fully tanned and silicones) reality housewife sued one of their cast mates for slander??

Stupid. So so stupid. The whole lot. The three V’s in affect. Vapid, vacuous and vain.

    • chaine says:

umm i think u forgot the fourth V that is in play…

      • Little Darling says:

        BWAAHAHAHAHA! I certainly did! Vendetta!

        (;

      • Katy says:

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I know I’m acting like I’m 10, but this is just f***ing hilarious! She must be out of her mind to bring a lawsuit like this….how embarrassing!! And yes Little Darling left out the most important V!

    • anne_000 says:

Right. All the Bravo housewives throw insults, shade, and some even get physical with one another. You’d have to have several lawsuits every season. It would get ridiculous.

Also, these women are paid to get dramatic and spout crap about each other.

    • Someonestolemyname says:

My Grandmother says Andy Cohen is the Devil. LOL and the housewives are his disciples.
She seriously thinks those shows are Evil.
      LOL

  7. j.eyre says:

I do NOT want to see the evidence list for this trial.

  8. why? says:

Everyone seems to be rewriting history. Brandi said that she didn’t like homewreckers. After she said that, Joanna tweeted something like, “I know/understand why Eddie left you for Leann”. Andy read Joanna’s tweet on WWHL to Brandi. Brandi looked hurt and then Brandi said that Joanna smelled. Neither Brandi nor Joanna are innocent, but I don’t understand why everyone seems to be depicting Joanna as the victim. I don’t even understand why Joanna would even bring up Eddie leaving Brandi when her own husband was refusing to even sleep with her at the time she was criticizing Brandi.

Joanna went on to do many more things to humiliate Brandi and cause her distress.

She was papped walking her dog in a Team Leann shirt. The same black and pink style shirt that Leann was papped wearing after Brandi released an email saying that Eddie’s friends call Leann Angelfish.

When Hard Rock Cafe “fired” Brandi(they put out press releases and tweeted nonstop about how they had fired Brandi only to end up paying Brandi a month later), Joanna and the DJ from Hard Rock Cafe spent the night mocking Brandi.

Joanna then went on to give many interviews about Brandi. Her interviews about Brandi got worse when rumors came out that RH of Miami was getting canceled and that Joanna was trying to get a spot on RHOBH. I think that Joanna is just trying to get a spot on RHOBH 2016 because one of Leann’s fans had been bragging that her executive friend at Bravo said that Brandi won’t be back on RHOBH on 2016.

Joanna was constantly tweeting to that one twitter account everyone suspected was Leann.

It’s a frivolous lawsuit. Can she really sue Brandi using a court in Florida? Shouldn’t Joanna really sue Andy since he was the one who made Joanna’s affair with Mohammad a topic for WWHL and read Joanna’s tweet to Brandi to spark a fight between them?

    • anne_000 says:

You’re right. Thanks for reminding me about the history.

There were rumors about Krupa possibly being considered for RHOBH. I don’t know if the source was Krupa herself or not though.

Also, there’s photos online and on Twitter with Krupa wearing a “Team Rimes” tank top, while she’s posing for photographs and walking her dog.

    • Charlie says:

Ya, lets sue the Mother of 2 for some cheap smelly money. Andy always wants clean hands, but this time, he will be right in the middle.

  9. JenniferJustice says:

It may seem frivelous and catty, but have to say, I’m with Krupa on this one. You don’t get to talk trash about somebody like that to boost your own relevance or a TV show’s ratings and if you can’t back it up with evidence, you face the consequences. Glanville is a disgrace and I hope she suffers the consequences of opening her big trashy mouth once again. She will cry and play the victim and use her kids to try to garner the judge’s sympathy, but none of that matters. You do not have the right to say humiliating things about a person you don’t know yourself to be true and even if you did know it was true, why blab it? Obviously Glanville is jealous of Krupa. I hope they sock it to her. The most awkward possibility is that Mohammed may have to testify – yikes!

    • why? says:

Joanna was the one who kicked off the trash talk when she tweeted that she “knew/understood why Eddie left Brandi”, this was before Brandi said she smelled. Joanna can’t play the victim when she was constantly taunting Brandi. Does Joanna not understand that everything she has done will also be called into question during this lawsuit against Brandi? From wearing the Team Leann shirt to tweeting to an account everyone suspected was Leann to mocking Brandi with the DJ from Hard Rock Cafe?

      • JenniferJustice says:

I know, but Brandi always take it so much further. What Krupa said was stupid and mean, but it wasn’t factual. It was opinion. Brandi made a horrible statement about Krupa’s vag and as usual dragged people into it without their permission. No doubt, Lisa Vanderpump is extremely unhappy with being included in something so nasty w/out her knowledge until after the fact. They do indeed instigate one-another but Brandi never fails to take it to the trashiest level possible. At least she’s predictable.

    • Charlotte says:

Jennifer, could you be a certain blogger named Jenn at all? Your comments are remarkably on point like hers.

      • JenniferJustice says:

No, just a bored paralegal in a cube. Not JSJ. Is that who you thought I was?

      • Charlotte says:

Indeed. But then, if you were, you probably wouldn’t want to give away your secret identity by admitting it.

        Or maybe that’s Batman.

      • jenniferjustice says:

Okay. I’ll. Share something with you but you have to keep it secret. Um… I am Batman. Shhhhh

    • G says:

No, I’m pretty sure Joanna injected herself first into Brandi’s business and that brought her normal catty and “classy” response. Joanna should have STFU and minded her own business. It’s all part of the RH franchise. When your popularity stalls, throw shade maybe a drink or two then sue to make TMZ headlines to stay relevant. Rinse (no pun intended Joanna) and repeat.

    • Charlie says:

Oh, hope Joann is ready for all her past and medical records to show up in court. Sometimes pride gets in the way of having a real brain. Remember Jo (Girls Gone Wild,), he would be a gem witness. Really, you should feel sorry for her that she is that desperate in life to do this. Her husband should be embarrassed for her.

  10. lila fowler says:

    GOOD! I hope she wins.

  11. captain hero says:

Please let this play out in judge Judy’s courtroom!

  12. Jaded says:

These women are all vile and they don’t deserve to pollute television by glorifying all that’s wrong with society and media today.

  13. MJ says:

Not a fan of Joanna, but I’m even less of a fan of Brandi. I don’t blame Joanna at all. Brandi is vile and loves to spout off lies about people publicly. I hope Joanna sues her until Brandi is flat-broke.

  14. Debi says:

I wonder why Joann never filed a lawsuit against the Miami housewives that said she was a prostitute? Or the magazine that also printed that she worked as an escort. Makes me think it’s true therefore no basis for a lawsuit.

    • claire says:

Seriously. This is by far the worst thing said about Joanna Krupa.

    • anne_000 says:

Yup. That’s the gossip I heard about Krupa. Why not sue for that? That’s worse than saying she cheated with a married man and her vagina smells.

    • jenniferjustice says:

Blinds say she was in fact an escort in the beginning. For some reason when compared to the Brandi’s and kardashians, Lohans , and so many others who prostitute themselves in various ways, I’d actually find a good old fashioned escort to be honest and refreshing. At least an actual hooker can’t split jairs and lie to herself about what she’s doing for a living.

  15. db says:

Nothing like filing a lawsuit about 2 year old comments everyone kind of forgot about to give them new coverage, eh, Jo?
    They are both so grubby.

  16. Decorative Item says:

    How humiliating for everyone involved.

  17. jana says:

So stupid. Joanna is constantly demeaning Brandi, it’s a back and forth thing. They will toss this suit out.
If this goes ahead, I cannot wait until they bring forth the guy who actually said it to Brandi. Brandi may be completely uncouth, but she doesn’t just make stuff up.
She will use it to her advantage, but she got this info from somewhere.

    • greenmonster says:

To me it doesn’t matter if the guy actually said that or not. Brandi should have never repeated that – esp. on television. But Brandi can never take the high road and ignore things other people say or write. She tries to get back at someone (or start the attack) and mostly ends up as the one who gets trashed or held responsible.

      • why? says:

Perhaps Joanna should have never tweeted anything about Eddie leaving Brandi since at the time she was slamming Brandi as she watched Brandi on WWHL, her own husband was refusing to even sleep with her. How is Joanna going to explain to a judge that she felt bullied by Brandi when she was parading around in Team Leann shirts just to taunt Brandi?

Joanna should be suing Andy because he was the one who started the questions about her affair with Mohammad. Why aren’t these women holding Andy responsible for all the stuff he starts on WWHL between them?

      • db says:

        Yep, that’s Brandi’s m.o. Can’t stand her.

  18. jana says:

Brandi also apologized for it publicly on Twitter. (too late, of course, but she DID apologize.)

  19. Jess says:

This is absolutely ridiculous, I’m not even sure what to think, but maybe if Joanna hadn’t slept with a married man who then went around telling people how bad she smelled she wouldn’t be in this situation, sounds like bad karma to me. I don’t agree with what Brandi said and found it highly inappropriate, but Joanna started this crap, she’s an awful woman.

I’m curious how this will play out, and I do hope they make Mohammed give a statement about what he said!

  20. LAK says:

JK is desperate to move to RHOBH because the Miami isn’t really working out. She’s been famewhoring this story long after everybody had lost interest.

However, JK is known to have less than lady like reputation with the gentlemen in LA, so if she drags Brandi into a lawsuit, who knows what else Brandi will say………

Anyway, back to JK, this is a very good way for her to get onto RHOBH. Bravo have resisted all her other attempts so perhaps this will nudge them…..imagine the Brandi/JK catfights!!!

    • Cici says:

I think the kind of fights these two engage in would be better suited to the “Bad Girls Club” franchise.

  21. Jennifer says:

Who is going to be charged with proving it doesn’t stink? And, is the term ‘stink’ relative?

  22. Dani says:

Don’t these people have better things to do???

  23. Cici says:

This is a case where no one is going to win. Even if Joanna somehow gets a judge to take this seriously and Brandi suffers from it, Joanna will have gotten her victory at the expense of any little bit of dignity she had left.

  24. why? says:

Joanna doesn’t have a case, not when she was papped parading around Miami in a Team Rimes shirt. Joanna was the one who kicked off the hateful and hurtful comments when she tweeted that she understood why Eddie had left Brandi. Joanna was talking about Eddie leaving Brandi around the time that the press was posting articles about how her own husband was refusing to sleep with her. Maybe Joanna should have been more concerned about what was going on in her marriage before she commented about Brandi’s. I was wondering why Joanna was being depicted as the victim and why everyone seems to be rewriting history, when I looked back at the articles reporting on the Brandi and Joanna feud, E News and another site said that Joanna had deleted the tweet she made to Brandi. Both sites make it very clear that Joanna started it.

    • CatFoodJunkie says:

It doesn’t matter in the slightest that JK was wearing a “team Leann” (or whatever) tee shirt. the courts’s role is not to decide who started what (they aren’t parents) – but rather if the allegations are true, and was damage caused. The court of public opinion may care “who started it” but I can assure you the courts do not. This is a civil case, not a criminal case. No “prior acts” will be considered. If Brandi thinks she was harmed (and can prove damages) by JK staring she understood why Eddie cheated/left, then she can bring a separate action against JK. (Opinion vs fact…It does matter.)

ALL IN ALL, a ridiculous use of taxpayers money.

      • why? says:

Yes it does matter that Joanna was wearing a Team Rimes shirt. Prior acts are most certainly considered in cases like this, people refer it to as “dirty hands”. Who started it does play a major role in the court case. Joanna can’t claim that Brandi is spreading lies about her and that she has suffered as result of it when there is so much evidence of Joanna deliberately provoking Brandi. It doesn’t matter if it’s a civil case or a criminal case, Joanna’s actions towards Brandi will be a big part of this case.

      • Charlie says:

Another dumb Florida case, does their court system really have time for petty stuff about who smells and who doesn’t? Man, the cases would be lined up for years. As far as people are concerned, Joann just showed the dumbing down of America. imo

    • Tammy says:

Just because Joanna taunted Brandi doesn’t mean she can’t establish defamation, slander & as resilt suffered distress. You have to separate the statements made by sides & ask was an opinion stated…or did someone state something about you that was not true. Have you suffered damages as a result? That’s Joanna’s biggest hurdle, not that she wore a Team Leann shirt or now she knew why Eddie left her.

  25. Bridget says:

Sending a letter saying that you’re going to file a lawsuit isn’t nearly the same thing as actually filing a lawsuit.

And for goodness sake, how little dignity must a person have to keep bringing up the fact that someone else said their ladyparts stink?

  26. Jag says:

The thing that bothers me about this lawsuit is that slander and libel have very specific meanings. One of them means that someone has said something that then will cause someone to lose money due to it. So basically Krupa is saying that Brandi saying that someone else said that her ladypart smelled is costing her income? Is she a prostitute then? Because otherwise, it doesn’t make sense at all to me.

  27. Angelica says:

The only time I’ll ever be in court will be for jury duty or if baby daddy ever sues me for full custody of our kids and these people have time for smelly biscuit court? Wow. I’m still team Brandi, but this was stupid and a particularly low ‘low blow’. Why she chose to say it, I’ll never know but why JK is going to court is doubly ridiculous. She has a right to be mad, but as others have said, dragging your personal life through legal battles is going to make it worse. All to clear her vajean’s good name, lol.

  28. Djinn says:

I have never watched any of the “Real Housewives” shows. From everything I’ve read about them and their antics on celebitchy over the years I’m just going to assume that to be even considered for the show you have to be amongst the worlds most vile humans.

Seriously WTF is wrong with these people.

  29. jwoolman says:

This is all so junior high. I don’t mind the lawsuit threat in this case. Although the intent is most likely not to actually take it to court, doesn’t hurt to encourage these silly people to think before they speak by costing them some lawyer fees. They’re making obscene amounts of money to act like 12 year olds. Except I had more sense at 12.

  30. yep says:

I wouldve let that remark die. Seriously. Maybe her puss does have a stink to it. Maybe shes self conscious about it. Maybe she fished around for months and finally got the right massingil formula and now can say its not true Brandis filthy lie.
Self entitled rich skank hoes are always pulling dumb ass lawsuits. Its what they do . Work? Charity causes? Whats that? Im bored. Let me sip on my beluga whale piss tainted vodka and contemplate all the wrongs bitches done to me and contact my lawyers.

  31. Philip says:

If an Arab says you smell, then you really smell. Probably need to see a doctor.
