Hilaria Baldwin: ‘My purpose in life is to provide you with information & inspiration’

wenn21892990

Hilaria Baldwin works for a living. That shouldn’t be so notable, except that Alec Baldwin made such a big deal about it when they got together, like he found one of the rare women in the world with her own career. Hilaria was (and still is) a yoga instructor. She had her own studio, and I think she still does? Since marrying Alec, Hilaria has also gotten a gig with Extra as a special correspondent, plus she makes TV appearances on behalf of “fitness” or whatever.

In addition to all of that, Hilaria Baldwin has also emerged as a Kardashian-level famewhore. She spent 2014 posting Instagram photos of herself doing ridiculous (and sometimes obscene) yoga poses all around NYC. She regularly posts photos of her daughter and intimate photos of her family, which makes Alec’s complaints about privacy rather moot. Hilaria loves the attention too – not only does she love when people are talking about her crazy yoga posing, she also loves to cause a fake controversy so she can play the victim and get even more attention (that’s a total Lena Dunham move).

So, a few days ago, Hilaria posted a photo showing off her new baby bump (she’s pregnant again, this time with a boy). You can see the slightly NSFW photo here – she’s in her underwear and you see a lot of her body. When people started commenting on the IG post with stuff like “wow, you look really thin for a pregnant woman” and “maybe you shouldn’t be on such a strict diet while pregnant,” Hilaria got what she wanted: attention. And so she got to play the victim and throw a hissy fit about how people were bullying her. Here’s what she wrote:

Readig your comments today (and many days) makes me want to restate my purpose for becoming a teacher and everything I post on my Instagram. Long before you knew me as Alec’s wife, I was teaching 36 classes a week. I did this (both privates and groups) at discounted rates (even though I could’ve used the money) so that I could reach as many as possible. I want you to know that you are in charge of your health and nearly anything is possible. We are all the same: made out of the same flesh and blood. My purpose in life is to provide you with information and inspiration. When you see something you like, don’t get frustrated, but rather open your eyes, look at your behavior and see how you can make it possible.”

“If you don’t want to see my belly grow, unfollow, as there will be more pics & I don’t want to hear any negativity. I will never show more than you would see me in a bikini on the beach. This is a new era and embracing our bodies while pregnant is very important. Women used to be so ashamed of their changes bodies and just hide… why?… because they are the vessels for creating life? I was nervous to share with Carmen because I had those first mommy jitters and I felt so superstitious about everything. But I’ve decided this pregnancy, I will put all outcomes in the powers that be and hopefully share with you how you can have an amazing pregnancy eating well and exercising….”

[From Hilaria’s Instagram]

In other words, LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT MY BODY LOOK AT MY BODY and if you don’t compliment me in the comments, I will accuse you of bullying me! Just for the record, I don’t believe in criticizing pregnant ladies’ bodies either (their fashion is sometimes a different story, but let’s not get into that) and I think some of the criticisms lodged towards Hilaria were unfair. That being said, no one is forcing her to post those endless selfies, yoga poses and underwear photos and people are entitled to their opinions. As for Hilaria’s now-stated purpose in life to be our “inspiration”… yeah, no thanks, Hilaria.

Closure for today. Sending warm wishes to you all🙏

Eh I like her a little. I only follow her for the yoga and diet tips. But I agree she’s a low level famewhore and over dramatic.

    • Jules says:

      And you help contribute.

      • Dani L. says:

Okay so I’m not allowed to follow someone for tips on something that I’m interested in just because she’s a famewhore? I’m not one of those people commenting on her IG praising her or giving her sympathy when she cries victim. Her tips are actually working for me but I’m not commenting on her pics to sing praises to her. I admit that she’s a famewhore and up herself but to ME she’s tolerable. I just ignore her stupid over dramatic antics and leave it at that.

      • Emma says:

Ummm…we ARE all on a celebrity gossip website right? (I think we’re all contributing).

    • homegrrrl says:

Diet tips? Here’ s one of her most successful recipes:

Get certified as “yoga teacher” to seem stretchy and exotic to rich aging men

Demonstrate lots of “hip openers” and offer “privates” to gawking wealthy old dudes, preferably single celebs

Mix with equal parts subservience and x wife slamming until a profitable marriage is procured

Present “guru image” to public while its hot and money is rolling in to shamelessly self-promote.

  2. Dani2 says:

The only thing that stood out to me from her photo is that they have carpet in (what looks like) a bathroom. Who does that?

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Carpeting in bathrooms is gross to me, too.

    • Leftovers says:

I was shocked when I found that to be the case in some houses in London, including at least one I’ve lived in.

      • AG-UK says:

That is exactly what I was going to say English people. Not a lot but many carpet in the bathroom, we lived in a flat when I first arrived and it was carpet.. no no no…if you want to be warm under floor heating I think.

    • Kiki04 says:

Our old house here in the states had carpet in the bathroom, I always hated it. It makes no sense!

    • Narak says:

People with house cleaners don’t have to worry about a carpeted bathroom. Not many people have carpets anymore so you don’t have to worry about matching the drapes.

    • Gena says:

Hahahahah! I noticed that right off the bat too! Carpet in the bathroom…So gross – right?

and a quick note to Hilaria, if I may –
Look, you’re allowed to post whatever you want on your IG page, but famewhore please…. STOP having her PR person send them to every gossip site/magazine forcing us all to see your naked yoga ass. I’m not interested in your “I’m serious about yoga look at my tits/ass/vag” pictures – but I’m still forced to look at them because they’re posted everywhere whether I click on the links or not.
Won’t your kids be proud one day.
      Oy.

  3. Marie-France says:

Hilarious (I know, I know)! Everone knows that the best way to avoid negativity from people is to post nude pictures of yourself on IG. Hilaria for president!

  4. Birdie says:

Can we please ignore her and not feed her attention seeking ways.

  5. Eileen says:

News flash Hilaria: the public you are trying to inform and inspire know you are simply an attention starved egotistical narcissist with your endless “look at me” yoga posing all over creation-you and you husband are a match made in heaven-I feel sad for your offspring

  6. Snazzy says:

    Shoot me now

    • Tracy says:

      Take me with you.

    • Me too says:

Me too. Can’t stand her self appointment as someone who should be telling anyone anything.

      • StormsMama says:

        @me too

        Hahhahahahaha exactly.
It’s like oh thank you your highness for anointing yourself
We are not worthy but you are so kind to share your wisdom.
        **huge eye roll**
        Get over yourself Hilaria

  7. elisabeth says:

I follow her on IG and twitter. It’s not what she is wearing in the pictures it’s the fact that 90% of every picture is her spread-eagle in a yoga pose. Like seriously…who is taking these pics? Do i need to see her in wacky poses every day? I know she is a yoga instructor…I know what yoga is; I just prefer not to see her crotch every other day

    • Kaley says:

Couldn’t you just unfollow her then? There are plenty of yogis on the interwebs….

      • JB says:

This. So many good ones out there. I follow a bunch of them and wouldn’t hesitate to switch it up if one of them was getting too crotch-y or I was tired of seeing their yoga bits.

    • Jules says:

      Then unfollow her.

  8. Kiddo says:

I have solved this problem for her in that I have never followed her, and won’t be following her, due to lack of interest. My apathy is strong with this one. But it’s nice to know that we have a burgeoning Gandhi in our midst, sacrificing all for the good of others.

    • Bridget says:

I’m a little surprised at some of the comments here already, just because this lady’s like a bowl of very flexible oatmeal. I guess you never know who will get people worked up.

      • Kiddo says:

I’m interested in this very flexible bowl of oatmeal. Does it come in a variety pack?
Can you use it as substitute for spackle? 🙂

      • Bridget says:

Who uses oatmeal for spckle? Everyone knows that’s porrige’s job.

  9. paola says:

    ugh.

  10. NewWester says:

Whether it is Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc if you post a comment or photo be prepared for maybe a few comments you do not like. As for Hilaria I hope she has a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby. Why waste time arguing with some trolls who want to make negative comments

  11. Chrissy says:

Is she related to the Kardashians?

  12. lower-case deb says:

a cursory look through her IG, clearly another one who is not a student of Lagerfeld No-Selfie School of Photography.

  13. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I’m inspired by people who didn’t choose lunatics with serious anger management issues to father their children and share their lives.

    • Snazzy says:

… Who choose a life of quiet contemplation and reflection, working on a way to have a positive impact on the world

      • Belle Epoch says:

Yay SNAZZY! That is WAY above this woman’s head.

It’s hard to understand how she puts herself on such a pedestal, preaching her gospel to help the masses. If she magically vanished tomorrow the world would be just fine.

    • Dani L. says:

Wait is Alec the one that left a nasty voicemail for one of his kids and called them a pig? Or was that one of the other brothers whose names I can never remember?

    • KelT says:

In my view, he was and still is her “project”. It’s a woman’s tendency (especially one so young as her) to want to change a man’s bad habits. As peaceful and serene as she views herself, she thinks she can “cure” him. I haven’t seen as much of him lately, but it’s likely he’s still a work in progress. She has age on her side because some men do mellow with years.

And I agree with some of the other comments that if you can’t tolerate the bad as well as the good comments that you receive when you put yourself out there, DON’T POST.

      • Dani L. says:

That was Alec? Ew what an asshole!

That sounds about right, Kelt. She thinks she has the power to save him from himself but little does she know that she doesn’t. Eventually he’ll have a “relapse” and that will be one rude awakening. But I hope he’s truly calmed down for the sake of his children, especially Carmen and the one on the way.

    • kri says:

      Boom, snap.

    • Pandy says:

I’m inspired by how she bagged a man with cash lol. How selfless to take him off the market. LOL.

  14. Dee says:

Her other proven purpose is to give birth to babies with impossibly oversized heads.

  15. feebee says:

Ii was hoping the “you” was just her talking to Alec but oh dear, we are the you.

I guess we can add delusion to the other problems she has. “My IG is for positivity only” ? Mrs Baldwin ‘doesn’t get out much’.

  16. Chrissy says:

I find her as inspirational as the Kardashians and just as annoying and
    laughable.

  17. Annie says:

That divorce is going to be do messy and fun. I can’t wait!

    • TheOnlyDee says:

She won’t be so calm and inspiration then!

    • PennyLane says:

I totally hear you on that one.

Hilaria looks fabulous and is clearly taking very good care of herself, which shows excellent self-discipline and is overall a good thing to do. Her baby also looks happy and well cared for.

Her husband…? Not so much. Alec Baldwin has been looking ROUGH in the last few photos that I’ve seen of him, and he looks like he might be gaining weight. I wonder if she hasn’t already checked out of the marriage, emotionally speaking, and is leaving him to fend for himself.

  18. scout says:

My purpose is avoid you like a Plague.

  19. MelissaManifesto says:

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m getting tired of this inspirational/health/fitness/spiritual/ phenomenon. I don’t have anything against anyone but it has gotten very commercialized now where I feel as though it’s being shove down my throat. I take great care of my health, but some people like Hilaria make it look so annoying and superficial.

I wish her the best for her new baby. Congrats!

  20. j.eyre says:

My purpose in life is to see how many Skor bars I can eat. Maybe I should start an IG? It wouldn’t be a place for positivity, though, just a place for Skor bar wrapper art.

  21. MrsBPitt says:

“My purpose in life is to provide you with information and inspiration”

She is a legend in her own mind!

  22. Jayna says:

I got used to her daily yoga poses she said she was going to do for a year on instagram and mixing it up wherever she was and her fame ho-ness with it, all the look-at-me sexy poses. But whatever.

But this selfie of herself in the bathroom in her bra and underwear with her buns hanging out was just on a whole new level of fame ho-ness and saying it’s just to show her ongoing, healthy pregnancy. And that foot, up on the ball of one foot for some reason seemed hilarious to me. There’s ways to show your growing belly and pregnancy without resorting to being in your little undies taking a selfie in your bathroom. So fitting for the wife of an Oscar/Emmy winner.

But anyone posting to her who thinks she’s too skinny or not healthy looking for a pregnant woman needs to put down the twinkie. She is very fit and healthy looking. I will give her that.

    • Bridget says:

I finally looked at the pic in question – who does that?!? Who says, “I’m in my bra and panties, it’s the perfect time to post a photo to Instagram?” I don’t get it.

    • Val says:

I love her random yoga posing, in unexpected places. The rest I don’t pay attention to.

  23. Barrett says:

My 70 old mom who is a bit of a prude called her a gold digging, fame who’re the other day and I could not stop laughing!

  24. Nk868 says:

Can I defend her partly? Only from the yogi standpoint with Instagram and her hustle after she married a rich actor. Hear me out! There are loads of “famous” (on Instagram or elsewhere) yogis and they all post a lot of the same crazy split upside down stuff.. In bikinis or booty shorts half the time. I respect that she did the same and made a name for herself enough to be able to afford her own yoga studio in NYC (seriously- it’s impressive anywhere to be able to afford the space and make a profit). I appreciate that she didn’t stop hustling for her brand when she married a rich celeb as if she could stop pretending she liked the work.

That said, I don’t like when anyone posts follower grabbing photos in various states of undress. You lose your credibility of trying to inspire/enlighten when you’re in underwear when any other outfit would do

    • FlowerZombie says:

Hilaria didn’t have a presence on social media before she met Alec. He was the one who encouraged her to start up on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter shortly after they became “serious” with their relationship. I can’t stand her, but HE is full of BS as well, pushing his wife toward the limelight (which she obviously loves). Both are just so desperate for attention. Sooner or later this annoying woman WILL get her reality show. She doesn’t own the yoga studio by herself, she has several partners.

  25. Scarlet says:

Jesus. Alec is the biggest bully on the planet. She sounds completely daft.

  26. Sayrah says:

She’s like a Goopy Bethany Frankel but more likable than the others.

  27. Loulou says:

She gives insignificance a fresh face.

  28. Sarah says:

Alec so deserves this famewhore. Will be hilarious watching the divorce/custody play out (inevitably).

  29. Sarah says:

    I really like her!

  30. Jess says:

I can’t believe she has carpet in the bathroom, or that she has 75k followers!

  31. Poppy says:

I know this will be unpopular but I think she has a point.
I comment on celebs I don’t like on gossip blogs where they are posted about or I just ignore a post about a celeb that bugs me.

But she is talking about her personal instagram page . Why go seek out a celeb you don’t like and write mean things?
That is sort of bullying. It’s going to her personal space just to be mean.
I wouldn’t dream of going to a celebs personal page and writing crap. What’s the point?

And if she is annoying- so are a lot of people. Some act like she is forcing herself on them when no one forced you to go look at her page or even read the articles about her.

    • RJ says:

I’m still laughing because you call her Instagram page her “personal space”. I have a couple friends who are full time yoga instructors in NYC and know Hilaria from the local yoga community. She is not known for being a very nice person, and her primary focus has always been wealth and fame. Not exactly reflective of yoga philosophy. Hey, good for her if she’s making bank but please let’s call a spade a spade. I don’t see her as being any worse than the many hundreds of thousands desperate to become a “celebrity”, but she doesn’t exactly emanate humility, integrity, and self awareness. Thanks but no thanks.

      • Poppy says:

it is her personal space as in her personal page . You have to go looking for it if you want to read it. So I don’t see the point of haters going out of their way to find her page and post negative things.

  32. kri says:

Carpet in the bathroom. Dear god, it is one of my biggest pet peeves. I know that’s petty, but that’s what I am. There is something magical about this woman, tho-she bores me into a rage. Is that inspiration of a kind?

  33. Kristie says:

I actually really liked her prenatal yoga dvd and used it almost everyday last year during my pregnancy. After that, I started following her on Instagram because I liked seeing some of the healthy things she feeds her daughter (I have a lot of allergies and food restrictions so I need all the ideas I can get). But I have to say, I don’t like when these celebrities specifically call out a user by name for their comments. I watched this whole exchange go down on Instagram and she ended up deleting the post where she put this woman on blast. Obviously they know everyone else in their comments will turn against them. Seems like kind of a bitch move. Just block them.

  34. Horrid says:

Please make her go away. Worse thing Alec ever did was sic her on us.

  35. Don't pay any attention says:

This “yogi” is the definition of “spiritual ego.” Don’t believe a word this self-promotion monster says.

  36. EscapedConvent says:

To me, she seems a self-obsessed airhead who loves attention, actively seeks it, and cannot get enough of it. I think her purpose is to pose and preen for cameras, all for the good of others.

It’s sort of funny that she is married to someone who wants privacy so much.

  37. snowflake says:

has common sense gone out the window? why would you post a picture of yourself half naked unless you’re looking for attention? gmafb. so unless we want to worship her beautiful body, we need to gtfo. how about doing something else besides focusing on your body and trying to pass it off as being “healthy?” can you spell narcisscist, hilaria? it’s ok, i can’t either, lol

  38. Cindy says:

She doesn’t like bullies, but married the Anger Monster? I guess we should all be grateful that she is imparting such wisdom through her weird carpet in the bathroom selfies….she is giving me leann rimes vibes.

  39. Lotta says:

I probably would also be insecure if my husband’s ex-wife was Kim Bassinger.

  40. Dr.Funkenstein says:

LOL Okay Hilaria, I’ll remember that when I find myself drifting today.

  41. MMRB says:

and I would need her to inform, and inspire me….. why???

Personally various yoga poses in compromising positions with stiletto’s on, don’t really inform nor inspire me. There are far more informational and inspiring examples.

  42. JessSaysNo says:

She is the absolute fake-yogi narcissist that is wrong with the world and mom-culture. She doesn’t want “positivity” she wants to brag wordlessly about her life and her body and not be reality checked. She is a label and brand whore just like any Real Housewife. Except, the worst part is she thinks she is better than everyone. Her entire life isn’t about inspiring anyone (inspire to what? marry a rich old dude?) its about desperately needing IG comments “you’re so thin!” “youre so beautiful” because she has no sense of true self. We get it, you’re thin. We get it, you’re rich and have a perfect life. What do you want and why do you care if people who STRUGGLE to be thin/pay bills/get pregnant/not be awful people comment on your IG. Seriously sit the f*ck down, Hilarious.

  43. MJ says:

I’ve looked at her Instagram before, and it’s actually pretty entertaining. Her yoga skills are pretty impressive. She was posting a crazy yoga pose each day last year because she was doing a 365-days-of-poses thing. Some of the places she posed and the poses themselves were hilarious. And she’s right – it’s her Instagram. If you don’t like what she posts, don’t look at her feed or follow.
