Here are the ladies of Modern Family at the SAG Awards last night. Nobody from Modern Family won anything, which was a sweet relief (although Eric Stonestreet looked like he was pissed). The biggest moment for all the Modern Family people – I guess? – was that Sofia Vergara walked her first awards show red carpet with her fiancé, Joe Manganiello. I don’t really know what to say about them. For what it’s worth, I think Joe and Sofia suit each other a lot better than Sofia and Nick Loeb. Joe seemed happy to escort Sofia to this show and he didn’t try to jack her moment at all. I’m not personally into Joe, but I do think they work well together.
As for Sofia’s fashion… this is Donna Karan Atelier. Sigh… I don’t like it. I don’t mind that Sofia sticks with silhouettes that work on her figure, nor do I mind that she usually chooses bright colors. But I hated the one-strap and I hated this shade of red. It was too tomato-y. If she’s going to wear red, I kind of think it should be more of a blue-red. She was also shilling her Kay Jewelry line on the carpet too. PS… Check out her engagement rock.
Maybe I’m on crack, but I didn’t hate Julie Bowen’s Georges Hobeika gown. I mean, FOR HER, it was fine. It might even be one of her better looks. Is it bridesmaid-y? Sure. Does it wash her out? Sure. Did she need to do something else with her hair? Of course. But still… it’s not the worst.
Ariel Winter is only 16 years old! I feel for her – I developed a big bust pretty early too, although I think Ariel’s are bigger than mine ever were. I have to say though – I thought she looked very pretty in this Zac Posen gown. It’s difficult to find something pretty and flattering when you’re that big-busted, trust me. But this is good. She was smart to go with a clean, minimalist look.
Sarah Hyland wore this Vera Wang gown that a lot of people liked on Twitter. I’m not crazy about it, but what I really hated was her hair. She’s a pretty girl, but the blonde isn’t working on her.

In my mind, Julie Bowen is who Goop thinks she is. Lovely and appealing and effortless. But still not great at dressing herself.

Man all those TB pay cheques came in handy that ring is huge and it’s v pretty I must say. Sarah needs darker hair blonde washes her out. Sofia is always the same.
Last night when they hit the red carpet, the camera immediately zoomed in to her hand. I thought it was hilarious.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Joe had some help paying for that ring.
Given the plugs she did for Kay Jewelers last night, I think we know where he got it.

Sofia’s is ok, nothing great. She and Sarah both look better with darker hair I think.
I like Julie’s dress also, it was soft and pretty, and a different choice for her.
I like the color of Sophia’s dress but not the cut-outs. The lines of all the other dresses look good on all those women. Sarah Hyland’s dress makes better usage of the sheer fabric than the mosquito netting a few pages back. I actually love the dress, but don’t like the stripped hair so much. More subtle highlighting of shades in warmer darker, hues would have worked better.

I don’t like Sophia’s dress. It looks way too busy on the top and a bit blah on the bottom. I like the colour though.
I love the Hobeika gown. I also question my own judgement but it looks really nice. I wouldn’t wear it but I like looking at it.
Sofia is a gorgeous woman, but she has dressed better. The dress is just ok, but frankly with her body she can pull off a potato sack.
As for her and Joe, I don’t really get why she is with him. Short term sexy times, sure, but marriage? But hey, she has earned the right to make herself happy. If he is what she wants, then I wish them well.
Don’t like the structure of the top. Looks painful under the arms.

Sarah’s face in her first photo is absolutely ridiculous. I eouldnt normally comment on it, but I can tell that’s a”I’m trying to be sexy face”. Girl, just smile, you’re pretty naturally.

Mmm I don’t like Sarah’s outfit at all, first of all I think that neckline was made for someone with boobs and it just fell flat on her, also the skirt-part is really nothing special. It looks cheap. She’s gorgeous and can do a lot better than this (I also agree blonde is not her colour).
Ariel’s outfit was great on her though, I didn’t even realize she had that big of a bust.
I really liked Sofia’s dress. And I also really liked Julie Bowen’s dress (although I hated her hair). I also thought Ariel’s dress looked amazing on her. It was simple and yet very sexy.
As for Sarah, I like the jewel detail on the bodice, but I hate the skirt part.

Not for nothing but that dress didn’t compliment Sofia’s figure she looked like she had a tummy which she doesn’t. Plus it’s boring she has done this to death and it isn’t remotely pretty or interesting.
Say what you want about julie bowens dress, not my fave, but she is willing to take risks and try things and personally I appreciate that.

Ariel Winter’s boobs…ooh girl. I feel bad for her. Her back must kill her. I wonder if they make her wear minimizers on Modern Family. But I don’t know, I think as a not legal teenager she’s showing a little bit too much cleavage–but her boobs are so big. It’s either this or she looks like a Sister-Wife about to have her 5th kid….

I love Julie’s dress, but then I usually do. So many gossip sites complain about red carpets being awash in a sea of boring but then when Julie or Lupita do something different… They get some love but also a lot of negative comments. Julie never looks like she tries so hard to scream look at me, so pretty, so sexy, great body… Blah blah blah. Wish I could afford that dress!
Ariel did ok, but I would have tailored the bottom a bit less fitted. The way it is now, too va va boom for a 16 year old. You can’t help the top, but you can adjust the bottom to be more fluid and not be so hour glass shaped.
Meh about Sarah’s dress. Another low cut to the waist bodice. Whatever. She is gorgeous though and those earrings, wow.
Can’t stand Sofia’s dress. But then again I find she is too Vegas all the time and I think she is doing too much to her face. Fillers? Botox? Lip injections? Whatever, just stop!

I really like Sarah’s dress if not her hair. I love Julie Bowen but she really is much too thin. She is a lovely woman but 10lbs would help soften the edges
The only outfit I liked here was Ariel’s. Love the coral lipstick and earrings they added just the right eclat.

I don’t know anything about her pervious fiance except that they were affianced. I like her with Joe. He seems more interesting with her.
I like the silhouette of this dress on her because she’s changed the material which has softened it so it almost looks different from her usual look.
Sophia is pretty but I do feel like her persona went from genuine to a bit put on. Her date is hot though.
Julie: LOVE her, but too thin. Its a little distracting on the show.
Sarah: Pretty, but too much brow pencil. She either looks 16 or 30. Weird.
Ariel: Wow, she grew up quite lovely. She looks great.
