Kim Kardashian has been on an Instagram binge lately. You can see her IG here – she’s posted a ton of photos in the past week. A lot of the pics are of little North West, because even Kim knows that Nori is the only one we really want to see. I’m including some of the North photos at the end of the post!
So, what has Kim been up to? The cover shoot she did for Love Magazine is still leaking online, because I guess the magazine hasn’t been released yet? And what else has Kim been up to? Well, she did a Twitter Q&A session as part of her commercial/endorsement with T-Mobile, and she was asked who would be her ideal selfie partner. Her answer is…sigh…
Sorry, Kanye and North West! Kim Kardashian has revealed her ideal selfie partner, and neither her husband nor daughter made the cut. During a Twitter Q&A with T-Mobile Feb. 2, Kardashian, 34, was asked by a fan whom she’d choose to take a selfie with, living or dead. Her response, is, well, surprising.
“My dad,” Kardashian initially tweeted to a fan page account set up for her sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, adding heart emoticons for her late father, Robert Kardashian, Sr. The married mom, however, was conflicted about choosing just one person, so she added onto her response. “Or Jesus. Or Marilyn Monroe. I can’t decide!” she tweeted.
During the T-Mobile chat, Kardashian also gave fans her take on motherhood. When one participant asked how she juggles her career with family, Kardashian said North, 19 months, is always top of mind. “All the things you used to do, you just don’t care about anymore,” her tweet response read. “Your child becomes the No. 1 priority.”
Her father or her heavenly father. Or Marilyn Monroe, whatevs. Who would I selfie with? Hm…Emma Thompson, probably. Because I know she would agree to it! Dead or alive? Eleanor Roosevelt! As for Kim name-checking Jesus, I feel the same way when I hear rich athletes or celebrities thanking him for winning some award or trophy: Jesus has better things to do, people. He’s not going to take selfies with Kim Kardashian or help a football player get a touchdown. HE IS VERY BUSY.
Nori IS so cute though.

Remember a few years ago when Kim said she wanted to get rid of her “sexy” image and never wanted to do a nude shoot again. Ha ha.

You pretty much summed it up and hit it right on the nail. This piece of garbage is worthless and really give women a bad name. She has nothing to offer but her body and sex. Its really disturbing that we have given this woman so much attention and for what? She is rich and why? or better from what? I think we all need to question ourselves for allowing this to happen. We all know it does not take much to pull the plug on her.
She is a hollow shell of a women – vapid, uneducated and self-obsessed. She can’t even take the time to be an interested and attentive mother without the paps in tow. What an embarrassment that this woman is rich beyond the average person’s wildest dreams. The sound we hear is her father rolling over in his grave.

This, exactly. I read all of the praise people gave her for her T-Mobile commercial but I personally thought it only solidified that she lacks any talent whatsoever. Sure, the commercial was satirical, but what else would it be? What right does she have not to mock herself when she pretty much is in fact viewed by most as a joke? Kim was stiff and monotone the entire time in her commercial. My immediate reaction to the latest shot of her naked ass was that I find it hilarious. A picture of her naked ass bending over is so ridiculous and I feel like this is really a low point for her, it reeks of desperation. The other naked shots of her have made a lot more sense; Playboy is intended to look sexy, the photoshoot with the champagne bottle on her ass was supposed to be shocking, but a picture of her just bent over while holding a cigarette is so white trash looking, I couldn’t help but laugh.

There are even more leaked photos out there now from this magazine. Kim is once again doing a full frontal greased up like bacon , Kendall topless with big fake boobs ( either digitally manipulated or she bought some ) and Kylie looks even more ridic than usual. Just when I think I couldn’t possibly be more grossed out by them – I am. How is that even possible?! It’s sad when all you have to offer in life is getting naked.

Of course North’s tutu is black. I actually like that from day one she wasn’t dressed in hot pink glitter…..BUT take North to a store and see what color she picks out?! I would love to see that! I bet she wouldn’t pick a black tutu, if there were 25 different colored tutus there! LOL
North is just the best thing that koven has. As for Kim’s answer, I suppose in her world it was her way of saying she wished her father was back with her. I think things would have been different(better) if he had lived longer.
Not necessarily for Kim. He was still alive when she ran off to get married to husband #1. She had already dropped out of school and was on her way to starting her plastic surgery obsession (although I don’t know if that was while her dad was still alive- probably, since I think Khloe was 19 when he died and she is a few years younger than Kim).
The divorce of her parents may have been the defining moment for her, though, since that meant she was living full time with Demon Mother. Kourtney and Rob eventually started living with their dad at least when they were older. I really think Demon Mother was abusive and neglectful even toward her Golden Child Kim. Kourtney’s reaction has been to be barely able to stand being in the same room. But the younger ones keep looking for her approval. They all show signs of real damage.
I think Kim is the most damaged. She never strikes me as truly happy, but rather increasingly empty and emotionless. Kourtney, who was less damaged because of her strong relationship with her dad and clear recognition that Demon Mother was wrong, healed by becoming a mother and caring for her own children as she had not been cared for by Demon Mother. But Kim seems to have become even more pathological since pregnancy and just makes the required noises about the joys of motherhood, while her body language and behavior (and the reaction of her child) shows otherwise.
I honestly don’t understand what Kimmode’s new obsession with Marilyn Monroe is, but I can only assume she thinks there is some parallel between the two of them since Ricardo Tisci stupidly referred to her as “a modern day Marilyn Monroe.” I don’t understand that comment either, seeing as how Marilyn Monroe didn’t have fat shots injected into her ass, Marilyn Monroe was a woman who actually WAS talented (she may have played an idiot in movies, but she was no dummy in real life), and Marilyn also endured a lifelong battle with mental illness until she tragically died at the age of 36 from a drug overdose. Marilyn Monroe was a tragic case who lived a horrible life during her youth, but certainly not someone any woman should aspire to be like, and any comparison between her and Kim makes no sense. Kimmode is trash.
But Marilyn was not a perpetual victim. She was street smart, very focused, and clever at manipulating her image. Otherwise, she would never have risen to the top in Hollywood, considering she came from such a poor, unstable background with no powerful connections to ease the way. There is no definitive proof she had mental illness like her mother and other relatives. There’s a lot of armchair psychology/speculation coming from some of her biographers. She was dependent on prescription pills for serious health problems. She wasn’t a recreational drug user.
She was an excellent photographic model. She was a decent singer and an underrated actress with a flair for comedy. “Bus Stop” showed her growth and that she really could handle dramatic roles. She was smarter and stronger than her movie image and the tabloid narrative often repeated today.
Marilyn had admirable qualities that ARE aspirational. She was one of the first actors to start her own production company to create roles for herself. In the beginning, she was underpaid and exploited like many other actors, so she fought her studio’s slave contract and won creative freedom, a higher salary, choice in directors, and options to film with other studios. Bette Davis tried this years earlier and failed.
She was an autodidact and avid reader. Having never finished high school created an inferiority complex, so she was always seeking self-improvement. Always wanting to learn and not satisfied with coasting through life ignorant. She later studied at The Actors Studio in NYC to improve her acting skills.
When she was a starlet her agent (Johnny Hyde) wanted to marry her. He was willing to leave his wife for her. She refused because she didn’t love him romantically and didn’t want to be a kept woman. She could’ve accepted his offer and become a widow set for life, because he was rich and already dying. But no, she wanted a satisfying career, not a man to take care of her. In a town known for its materialism and greed, Marilyn was an exception to the rule.
When her 1st and 2nd husband didn’t support her career and wanted her to be a subservient housewife, she divorced them. When 3rd husband, Arthur Miller, was investigated for communist ties by the government, she publicly supported him, even though such support during those witch hunts could have ended her career. She was also the breadwinner during her 3rd marriage.
Contrary to her glamorous image, the real Marilyn had simple tastes. She identified with the “common man” and the working class. She participated in charity drives and also quietly donated money. She believed in equal rights. During the racist 50s, she helped Ella Fitzgerald (one of her favorite singers), who had trouble getting work because she was black, despite her great talent. Ella said:
“I owe Marilyn Monroe a real debt…it was because of her that I played the Mocambo, a very popular nightclub in the ’50s. She personally called the owner of the Mocambo, and told him she wanted me booked immediately, and if he would do it, she would take a front table every night. She told him – and it was true, due to Marilyn’s superstar status – that the press would go wild. The owner said yes, and Marilyn was there, front table, every night. The press went overboard. After that, I never had to play a small jazz club again. She was an unusual woman – a little ahead of her times. And she didn’t know it.”
What’s not widely reported is that Marilyn was rehired shortly after being fired from “Something’s Got To Give”, with a contract renewal and salary increase. She was making plans for the future (decorating her modest new home, in serious talks with industry types offering future film projects) when she died, so I don’t believe it was suicide. She had a past history of getting depressed when times were rough, occasionally staging suicide attempts as a cry for help, then finding some inner strength to carry on.
The tabloid narrative is more juicy, of course: faded star, washed up in Hollywood, used by everybody, who ends it all because she can no longer handle the pressure or because of losing the spotlight. That makes for more dramatic reading, but it’s not true.
Oh, and Kim is a vapid hole of suckage on whom I’ll waste one sentence.

Actually, I’d rather not see more pictures of Nori with Kim. They are downright disturbing. Look at the tension in that little girl’s fist while she is being held up against Kim, who is pursing her lips in another pretend kiss (which Nori is blocking….). Nori simply does not like Kim. Usually kids are very loyal even to deficient parents, but Nori fortunately has other normal people caring for her and so does not feel that loyalty to this strange cold, self-absorbed woman who keeps grabbing her for weird poses. She wants to be let down so she can run to the people who do have her loyalty. Kim is playing the role of that obnoxious relative who visits occasionally and tries to smother you with unwanted hugs and kisses and cheek pinching if she can catch you.
They are going to have to keep Nori well drugged for public pap shots soon, since the older Nori gets- the more vigorously she is going to protest until she’s old enough to be bribed.
