Back in October of last year, Taylor Swift went to see Hozier in concert. Hozier is that HOT Irish singer with the hit “Take Me to Church.” He’s deep and he’s real and he’s talented and he’s got GREAT hair, the latter of which is incredibly important to Swifty. So, it was sort of interesting when Hozier and Swifty were spotted hanging out with each other last week, right? She even tried to cover her face with a hoodie, a sure sign that there’s some cuddlefesting going on. And now this – E! News says Swifty and Hozier were spending a lot of time together at the Grammys after-parties. Huh.
Looks like Taylor Swift went to church last night. The “Shake It Off” superstar was spotted looking “really cute” with Hozier at Sam Smith’s super-VIP Grammy after party.
“They were hanging out a lot and talking with each other,” a fellow party guest tells me. “They looked really cute together.”
We’re not saying the two were getting along in a romantic way, but sources did see Swift, 25, give the “Take Me to Church” singer, 24, a few kisses on his cheek. The two were at the party into the wee hours of the morning. One source saw them chatting at 3:30 a.m. And it was just five days ago that they were spotted together at a Haim concert in L.A.
My God. It’s on, people! Battle stations!!! Taylor Swift might actually be hitting it with a guy I legitimately find attractive. I didn’t realize Hozier was so young – he’s only 24? So soulful and talented for such a young age. And he’s tall too. And he’s got that hot Irish accent. He’s going to RUIN Swifty. And it will be a glorious mess and I really, really hope it’s happening. DO IT, SWIFTY!
Meanwhile, Swifty spent her whole Grammy night making peace with just about everybody. Everybody but Katy Perry and John Mayer, obviously. But Swifty hugged it out with Kanye West and she even spent some time with Diplo. That one surprised me, because Diplo publicly slammed Swifty’s flat butt and he dared to criticize her in his GQ interview. How can Swifty make up with Diplo and Yeezy but not John Mayer? That seems odd.

I think she’s too media savvy to NOT know who she is. If some a-hole DJ with a million followers is tweeting about Swifty’s flat butt under the name “Taylor Spliff”, I’d bet a hundred bucks she knows about it and knows who he is in person.
Er, of course she knows who he is, he’s a fairly big record producer who’s worked with Beyonce, M.I.A, Drake, Sia, Robyn, Chris Brown and currently Madonna. Even her friend Lorde. One thing Swifty is not is out of touch with the industry. She knows who everyone is.

I’m so sick of Take Me to Church. I feel like it was trying to be unexpected and raw, instead to me it feels unfinished and just crappy. Like they wrote it in 5 minutes and never looked back. Don’t hate me, I know some people love it that’s okay!

Strangely, for me it’s the complete opposite – I *adore* that song. I think it’s partly because I first acknowledged it during a really, gut-wrenching break-up, and whilst this might sound silly, it almost felt like it was written for me it was so accurate.

I love the song, but I do think the radio is overplaying it and that the album has even better songs to offer. “From Eden” has been my go-to jam lately, since I finally burned out on Tay’s 1989.
Arsonist’s Lullaby is my absolute favorite song of his. I love Hozier and I’m pretty jealous of Taylor if this is true!
Wish I could be a fly on the wall in that conversation between Taylor and Diplo. Only way this could have gone down is if Diplo apologized. So Taylor wins this round.

My taste in men is completely different from Taylor’s. I don’t like most of the men she’s hooked up with. In term of hotness, can only approve of her getting with Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Lautner. The rest of the guys she’s dated I find to be quite unattractive. I don’t think this Hozier guy is that hot either.
I think Hozier is cute, I like his personality so thatt makes him more attractive. Jake is also cute, but Taylor looks like a llama. The rest of her exes were not my cup of tea.

From where I’m sitting it looks like Diplo and Kanye are just annoying douchebags who can, however, be a lot of fun under the right circumstances. You do realize that he’s gay, right? I mean out & proud gay. Didn’t anyone see the video for “Take me to Church”? The lyrics are openly meant to convey that homosexual love is more fulfilling than the restrictions & judgment of the Catholic Church. In fact, he’s using the euphemism “Take me to Church” in place of “dirty, hot, steamy homosexual love.”
I’m not trying to stir up controversy or anything. Those are just the facts. With that being said, I think he’s very talented and I’m sure whatever is (or is not) going on with Taylor is just friendship and mutual respect.

I just read an article in this month’s Rolling Stone where he did specifically say the song is about the churches treatment of homosexuals, but I went back and he never actually said anything about his sexuality – I just assumed. Otherwise I don’t know anything about his personal life.
The lyrics are about a girl though. He uses female pronouns throughout. I think he changed his mind somewhere along the way about what his song means and gave it more profound meaning than it originally had. It’s about having sex and it being so good it’s like a religious experience.

He’s not gay. The song isn’t necessarily only about gay people but he did choose to have the video feature a gay couple due to the way gay people are being treated in Russia.

I’ve been enamored with Hozier since I saw him on SNL in October. He is amazingly talented and his album is brilliant. I had it on replay so much this fall I’m surprised I didn’t burn a hole through the CD. Anyways, he isn’t gay. His ex girlfriend is a singer/songwriter who actually helped cowrite one of the songs on his album. He comes across as incredibly soft spoken and awkward in interviews. I feel like he would do well with a woman with a strong personality so maybe Taylor has found her winning match.
Aw, I really liked him too. Not that in any delusional sense did I ever think I would even ever meet Hozier, but any time a celeb crush I have starts dating a big name, it makes me stop finding them attractive. No shade to Taylor either, if anyone deserves that hot piece, it’s her. Don’t really like her music, but that girl is starlet personified, she always done up perfectly, even when just getting pap’d. Has she ever dated anyone as talented as she is, save for maybe John Mayer, who, even though he is an intensely talented musician, is a giant bag of garbage?
