i think it is great that he seems to at least realize that he is a role model though. too many celebs seem whiny about having to be one, but he’s taking responsibility. now, go, michael, have fun and don’t let anyone else take your picture! =)

Someone set him up ..so he smoked a little pot. Big damn deal. I dont smoke the crap and never have but from I understand it is no big deal. Maybe if they made it legal and taxed it and for sure give it to people with cancer we wouldnt be having all this illegal crap on the streets and there would be less pushers.
He is a kid. he may be a star but he is still a a kid and kids smoke pot if they can.

Christ on a bike, the kid smoked a little weed at a party! He didn’t have a needle in his arm or an under-aged girl on his lap!

So silly he has to go around and apologize for a breach of HIS privacy. Yes, I realize marijuana is illegal, but it really shouldn’t be. I don’t even smoke, so this isn’t coming from some deluded pothead.

Seriously. He had to say he was sorry for this? Our current and last president both are known to have used illegal drugs (and more than a simple hit off the bong) and also to have abused alcohol in their younger days, and even so they were voted president by the American public. It’s not fair to Phelps that he is held to this ridiculous standard because he was famous when this happened. It would be different if he was flaunting it. Public apologies for this? And it is still in the news? He is still having to give interviews to explain himself? This society is so screwed up. Like the author of the post points out, the real demon here is the photographer and/or whoever distributed the photo.
