Keira Knightley was not in the Isle of Wight for Benedict Cumberbatch’s wedding. She was in LA ahead of the Oscars, probably to do some last minute shilling and hand-shaking, even though I think Keira is pretty sure she’s going to lose the Best Supporting Actress race to Patricia Arquette. Keira did Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday, and then on Saturday night, Keira was one of the few big-name celebrities to come out to the Writers Guild of America Awards. These are some photos from her red carpet appearance. I’m not a fan of this Burberry dress – she’s still stuck in the same girlish, baby-doll style she wore before her pregnancy.
Keira’s film, The Imitation Game, actually won something! TIG has been on a major losing streak as of late, but on Saturday, TIG picked up the WGA Award for adapted screenplay. Wes Anderson won original screenplay for The Grand Budapest Hotel, and there’s every belief that Wes is probably going to win his first Oscar for the screenplay too (yay!). I think it’s a big surprising that TIG won adapted screenplay – my money was on Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl adaptation (although I didn’t love her adaptation of her book). We’re in the last days of Oscar voting – all the ballots must be in by Tuesday, February 17th. Some races are still in the air – no one has any idea of Birdman or Boyhood will win Best Picture, or whether Richard Linklater or Alejandro G. Inarritu will win Best Director. Inarritu won the DGA, by the way. Which means he’s more likely to win the Best Director Oscar.

The woman is pregnant. She should wear something she is comfortable in. I am not a fan of her pregnancy couture, but I am willing to give a pass. Save your money Keira, free clothes from designers.
There are millions of examples of women who are pregnant and comfortable and attractive and stylish. She looks like a six year old. They make beautiful maternity clothes or a designer would happily alter something for her. She has bad taste.
Agree. She dresses looks like she is afraid to look like a grown up and wants to be “cute”. Comfort is great and she does not have to be slinky or wear overtight clothes, but it would be nice if she looked like an adult, not a grade schooler.
I think she looks adorable. Pregnancy suits her. She is glowing and the extra weight makes her look more youthful. I like the dress. It’s cute and comfortable.

yes. and ridiculous. if you look at old photos of her, they are relatively thin. then they’ve gone up and down over the last few years. but this is a linsey lohan trout pout.
Her lips are only ‘relatively thin’ when she smiles, which is probably why she doesn’t smile very much on the red carpet. Like Victoria Beckham, she doesn’t smile widely in public because she doesn’t like the look of her smile. When I was 17 I picked up a self-conscious habit of covering my mouth with my hand when I smile when I saw a pic of myself at my HS graduation and was mortified that my entire top lip completely disappears when I grin. My lips are normally pretty full when I don’t smile.
I think her face has just changed a lot during this pregnancy, some women’s do. I actually thought the first pic was Brooke Sheilds.

I think all the people saying how much older she looks since she got pregnant might have gotten to her, but she prob just stepped up her make-up. Her lips are really overdrawn here.
I don’t hate the dress. She looks comfie, and that’s all that matters. Her acting, on the other hand… I have never understand how she gets work let along nominations.

some of the pregnancy weight has gone to her face, but I think it looks good! However, she is clearly self conscious about it, hence the really contoured makeup.

KK has always been pretty, but lately she is just stunning. Hopefully she won’t be obsessed w/ her “post baby body” & will ignore petty journalist insist on making it a topic. I think the ever so slightly fuller face transforms her into an out of this world beauty. A mature, timeless, classic beauty!
