Last week, there were photos circulating on some sites of Game of Thrones star Lena Headey, walking around LA with what seemed like a decent-sized baby bump. I’ve actually heard some mutterings here and there for weeks, that Lena is knocked up and she’s trying to keep the whole thing quiet. It’s worth noting that she’s already got one kid, a 4-year-old son named Wylie, with her ex-husband Peter Loughran. And now she’s confirming that she’s pregnant again. But no mention of any baby-daddy.
There’s another Lannister on the way! Lena Headey is expecting her second child, PEOPLE confirms exclusively. The actress is best known for playing Cersei Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
“I’m happy to confirm that I’m having my second child this summer,” Headey, 41, told PEOPLE in a statement. “I only hope that this announcement can help me to regain some of the privacy I have recently lost to prying photographers and ask that they please respect my privacy and let me enjoy this time.”
First, the Game of Thrones concerns: the new season begins in April, and I would assume she’s already filmed all of Cersei’s scenes for the upcoming season. And even if she hasn’t, I’m sure they could easily mask Lena’s pregnancy… unless they don’t need to? Does Cersei get pregnant again? No, wait. Don’t tell me. I want it to be a surprise!
As for the baby-daddy stuff… my theory is Pedro Pascal. I know we’re not supposed to invade her privacy, etc, and it’s not like any of us really NEED to know. But we theorize about gossip all the time. Pedro and Lena have been pap’d over the past months/year looking friendly and cozy together. And they’re all over each other’s Instagram too. But maybe they’re just friends. Maybe the baby-daddy is someone else. All I know is that I think Pedro Pascal is so sexy, most of us could get pregnant just by looking at him.

My thoughts went to Pedro Pascal too, I really wouldn’t be surprised if they are a couple. As for her scenes as Cersei, they’ve probably all been done for a while now, seeing as Season 5 starts in roughly a month and a half (yay!)

they already filmed the 5th season, haven’t they? And there are only 5 books so far, basically they can do whatever they want with the characters. Which they kind of do….
If Martin doesn’t finish writing more books soon they’re going to have to just do whatever they want!

They already said there was going to be some (major) diversion(s) from the books and the show. ‘Winds of Winter’ (the book) may not even be out this year.
The author has already said it won’t be out in 2015. 🙁

no the book won’t be out this year. But I don’t know if I’ll read it. I got so frustrated with all the new characters in the fifth book that I kind of just skimmed through it. Granted, Oberyn’s kick ass daughters were interesting. Other than that, Arya is my main bitch and Tyrion my main man 🙂
but what about season 5? no tyrion cersei word sparring, no Bron, no Oberyn 🙁 Aryas story takes off this season but other than that?
Heard the same thing: No new book in 2015. I stopped reading Book 5 months ago because I decided it’s better to just pace myself with the TV series than wait for GRRM to take his ADHD meds and focus on completing WoW. Nevertheless, I think Lena is awesome; congrats to her on the pregnancy!

I wish her a happy and healthy pregnancy. If I recall correctly, she had her son not too long before they filmed the pilot episode. Season 5 is in the can and depending when in the summer she is due, they can push her scenes for filming until the fall.
The only thing that makes me think she might NOT be with Pedro is that she doesn’t seem like the type to post public pictures with her significant other on Instagram. And he seems to form these types of bonds with certain actresses, including Sarah Paulson. Whatever the case, it’s her business. Congrats!

I know it’s wrong but I real-life-ship Lena and Pedro SO MUCH. They even had chemistry in their scenes on GOT and the characters are supposed to hate each other! The only thing thing that makes me think Oberyn is NOT the daddy is that I think he’d aknowledge it… But let’s hope I’m wrong, the kid would be seriously adorable!
