Kendall Jenner’s modelling career still soars with several recent fashion week gigs. She walked in Milan last week but had to pull out of a few shows when she got sick. I’ve included photos of Kendall walking for Fendi in Milan and H&M in Paris. She’s been nearly inseparable from Cara “Coke Dropper” Delevingne, and they’ve been clubbing together in Milan before moving onto Paris. I wonder how hard Kendall is partying and whether the new habit is related to her sickness.
A new story in this week’s OK! magazine says Kendall is pulling away from the Kardashian Klan in a big way. The source is suspect, but an insider says Kendall wants to move to London. The source could be not-Kris Jenner (or maybe it’s a party buddy of Cara’s), who says, “She’s making a fortune and she doesn’t need them anymore. She’s getting more and more prestigious modeling gigs and doesn’t want to be dragged down by the tacky KUWTK biz anymore.” At least they got the “tacky” detail correct.
Kendall may be ready to end her Hannah-Montana existence. She supposedly doesn’t want Kris to be her manager, but this could all be made up for the show. Sadly, I don’t think there’s any escape for a female Kardashian. Kendall and Kylie are supposed to film their own spinoff show, but moving to London wouldn’t prevent filming.
Oh, and this week’s issue of Star magazine keeps pushing the ridiculous notion that Kendall and (virtual brother-in-law) Scott Disick have a thing. The latest story says Scott proposed to Kendall (in a “wildly inappropriate — yet oddly romantic — moment“), and they’re going to run away to Europe together. The tabs have been saying stuff like this for weeks, which is extremely poor taste. Even Lord Disick has enough class to not pursue his sister-in-law. Fake story is fake.

She wants to flee from her family’s show but still wants to participate in a spin off? Ok, sure. I feel like all you need today in order to be a model is family connections (Kendall, Cara, Georgia Jagger, Suki Waterhouse, Hailey Baldwin). Can we get some real models up in here?
There’s a million of them. And daughter-of models have been a thing since the ’70s.
I can at least remember what Cara and Georgia (Lara Stone knockoff) look like, but Suki Stackhouse? No matter how much mags try to push her as a legit model and not just Bradley Cooper’s gf, I end up thinking she has a face perfect for robbing banks because she is just that forgettable-looking.
Let’s not forget Gigi and Bella Hadid. Yes, they’re pretty, but nepotism at its best – their mother was a world class model and the dad is rich.
Tabloids are getting ridiculous these days. But I am surprised they didn’t imply she is moving to London to be with Cara Dellawhatever.

Kris has the secrets, receipts, and dirt to drag each of them down if they threaten what she’s built. It’s not like she’s thriving on good will, she runs her empire off the fact her family is so hated. One little ‘leak’ exposing Kendall’s bought career and soon we’ll all be going “Hey remember when one of them tried to model?”
Kendall imo, like all of them, has a very short leash. She can roam, but there is no cutting ties for good. Ever.
I agree, Amy. PMK will always get her 10% because she is the puppetmaster who holds all the cards. She knows everything about everyone in that family and they will never get out of her grip. She holds all they dirty, little secrets over their heads. The only one to get away is Rob and only because he isn’t a moneymaker. North, unfortunately, is doomed.
Scott isn’t a Jenner… his name is Scott Disick and he is not related by blood to the family. He is Kourtney K’s baby daddy. I would not blame her for moving to London. It’s a cool city and far away from LA and her crazy family.

Walking runway shows doesn’t pay the big bucks, so I would think that she still needs the show. I think she’s gotten lots of attention from magazines, but she walks far fewer shows than many models, so I doubt she’s at the point where the show dollars don’t matter. Supermodels didn’t make their money walking runways.
You’re right. I believe they make it from the ad campaigns that come along after they walk the shows.
I think everyone in their family has a role to play…so while Kendall is “the model”, she doesn’t have to walk as many shows as ordinary, hard working models without connections.
She’s just established this image and holds onto it, which brings her publicity and more campaigns, thus more money.
I find the relationship all these Kardashian women have with their mother horrifying. She’s holding the reins and I doubt if any of them wanted out, like truly out, she’d let them.
There’s a difference between savvy hustling and pure greed for money, verging on evil. PMK reminds me of a Disney villain, yup, she’d fit the role perfectly.
Now that you mention Disney, PMK reminds me of Cruella DeVille down to the furs and the self-serving mentality. All her daughters are only commodities to her, nothing else. Sad.

Because she has become a high fashion model, she is saved from becoming influenced by her tacky sisters and mother with all of that plastic surgery and fillers and botox and butt injections or implants. Kourtney didn’t fall prey to it either. She’s more natural.
But Kendall looks fresh and pretty, and in her career, that trashy Kardashian look would be her downfall. Run, Kendall. Get as far away as you can.

yeah, good on her but modelling as a career has a short shelf life – without her family and the reality show, she hasn’t really got anything to sustain a career beyond the age of, like, 22. Then what?

I think it’s more a nouveau riche thing than an obsession with men of a certain range of skin color. They go after rich men who are recently enough rich that they don’t look for education or intelligence in a mate (old rich are more likely to require both attributes because of the social circles in which they float and the kinds of things expected from a spouse in keeping up their traditional old rich people activities). So the Kardashian lack of interest in education or developing their intelligence for anything beyond endless shopping and lack of interest in real charities (they set up their own tax dodges) or even real religion (they founded their own church and bought a minister! Old rich don’t really do that so directly) is not a handicap. They aren’t expected to do anything but look sexy and be available on command for sex – Kim even said she had a night nurse for Nori specifically because 1) Kim needs 9 or 10 hours of beauty sleep and 2) she needs to be available for Kanye. Even Khloe, who has a brain even though underused, was doing a lot of desperate weird things for her Lamar-we’re-so-passionate storyline and continued the pattern with her on-and-off-again rapper.
Anyway, they especially go for rappers and athletes for such reasons, and I think the guys just happen to be black because of the statistics for those professions in the USA. Kendall is really the same, she’s just found a wider variety of nouveau riche to pursue in her travels (not just rappers and athletes) so they aren’t all black. She still lacks the attributes desirable to the old rich with generations of wealth behind them.
Kourtney is an exception in this as in other things. She has a college diploma, lived with her father after the divorce as soon as feasible (picking up his work ethic among other things), actually seems interested in working on their store and related business activities quietly and without fanfare, really enjoys being a mother and so her kids seem quite comfortable with her and she doesn’t push them into stressful situations for publicity, doesn’t seem to engage in ridiculous endless plastic surgery and is unlikely to routinely spend many hours letting someone else put makeup on her just to go out on the street, and she chooses clothing that actually looks good on her and seems comfortable (except when she is stuck matching her sisters for modeling shots). I think she really does love her Scott Disick and they also like each other, despite stormy periods. She didn’t choose him for money, although he wasn’t poor (trust fund baby). And so far she has successfully fended off Demon Mother’s thirst for another splashy TV wedding. If she and Scott do marry officially, my bet is that they will do it very privately. Kourtney obviously can’t stand her mother and would have no desire to include her even at City Hall (yet another positive thing about Kourtney, who may not be a perfect person but she’s real).
Cara has some major partying bloat going on in her face. Whoa!
