The last we heard, Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence were still sort of seeing each other. And last we heard, Kate Hudson had dropped Matt Bellamy like a hot potato and started up a flirtatious fling with Derek Hough. But why would Kate Hudson ever settle for a dancer when she could get a guy in a band? Because that’s her great love: boys in bands. She is the Forever Groupie. She’s still going to be bangin’ guys in bands when she’s 60 years old.
So, these are photos of Chris Martin and Kate Hudson hanging out together in Malibu over the weekend. They seemed to be with their kids, or at least… I can see Moses Martin and I can definitely see Bingham, her youngest boy, and maybe Ryder is somewhere in that group too. I don’t see Apple Martin but many of these damp children all look alike to me. You can see more photos here.
So, is this a beach playdate with the kids? Or is it something more? If it was Chris Martin with just another mom, some friend of Gwyneth’s, I would say it’s probably nothing. But by now, we know how Kate Hudson rolls. Chris Martin is in a band. One of the biggest bands of the past 15 years. Of course she’s trying to hit that. I always believed the story that Kate tried and failed to land Radiohead’s Thom Yorke too (he wasn’t into Forever Groupie). But Chris Martin? Currently consciously uncoupled and maybe in the midst of a faded relationship with J-Law? That’s an easy score for Kate Hudson. She circles her prey like a vulture, tossing her blonde hair back and laughing happily. So easy, so uncomplicated, maybe drop some hints about how he should write a song right then and there.
The somewhat complicated part is that Kate Hudson and Gwyneth are friends or at the very least, friendly acquaintances. Does that make it more difficult? Eh. If I had Goop’s Machiavellian mind, I would think Kate Hudson was a better choice than Jennifer Lawrence, you know? At least Goop can still look down her nose at Kate Hudson because Hudson has never won an Oscar. Plus, Gwyneth can see that much like J-Law, Kate will probably get tired of Chris’s personality sooner rather than later.

Though with pics like these I believe – for whatever reason – they are OK with the rumour mill starting and churning.

I saw this on another site & they had pics of them walking – they had all 4 of their kids plus some extras it looked like.
I’d suggest simple playdate, except her bikini. I wear one when I’m just with family, but if we’re at a pool party with other families, I prefer to keep it covered up a bit… but who knows – they’re both single, so why not?

Probably not. The paps always get pictures of him with kids when they’re at the beach. Besides the paps just generally hang out at Malibu beaches since so many celebs live there and they are have a good chance of getting a shot of one of them (celeb, I mean) on the beach.

Hm, I think that I like them as a couple.
One thing I really like about Kate is how honest she is about her diet & fitness routine. She admits that she works hard every day to look like that and I respect that.

I guess if you combine this with the previous rumors from last year and Chris being at Kate’s house for a few parties…seems like something. I doubt he’s with Jlaw because really they haven’t been in the same zip code for months and the tabs have really cooled on these rumors without any proof…I didn’t even believe it from the summer. This seems more believable to me.
Seems like Chris doesn’t know if he wants Goop (they spend tons of time together and not just with their kids) or someone else but Kate seems like his speed. Could be a relationship brewing and I could actually see this.
I don’t think he still wants to be with goop, since she has a new boyfriend. I think those two split amicably, and that’s it. That’s why they spend so much time together. It’s a very good situation for the children I would imagine.
She has an amazing body. I wish I had the time to have a body like that (I am stepping up my workout routine from 3 times a week to 5 hoping it helps; I do a mix of cardio/pilates/yoga).
