I keep seeing the TV commercials for Home, the new Dreamworks animated film, and I’m just like… eh? I can see why it made sense on paper to have a cute little girl (voiced by Rihanna) traveling home with the help of some kind of helper robot or something (voiced by Jim Parsons), but the commercials just make the film seem like there was some trouble from script to screen. Maybe I’m a bad judge though – I’m sure Home will make a bajillion dollars.
Anyway, these are some photos from yesterday afternoon’s family-friendly premiere in Westwood. Jennifer Lopez – who voices a character AND contributes songs for the film – brought her kids, Max and Emme. J.Lo also wore this Zuhair Murad dress which… eh. I don’t really like it but I think we should give her credit for wearing something cutesy to a kids’ movie premiere. She’s not showing a lot of skin, which is probably the point. Also: her hair looks terrible!! And the heels are Christian Louboutin’s Follies Strass.
Guess who else was there to support J.Lo? That’s right, her on-again boyfriend Casper Smart. In interview after interview for MONTHS, Jennifer has been saying that she’s single. And the whole time, I’m pretty sure she’s been seeing Casper on the DL, because that’s just who she is. Hey, at least she’s ashamed (she should be). But I hate that she feels comfortable enough to bring him to her premiere.
Meanwhile, the star of the film, Rihanna, came out in this very sweet Dior gown. I like that she’s covered up too, although I think her makeup is a bit too dark. On the whole, this is very Dior-princess though. I could see Felicity Jones in this dress too. (No comment on the bangs because I’m pretty sure they’re just clip-in.)
And here’s Viola Davis with her daughter Genesis. Genesis is getting so big!! I think V and Genesis just wanted to see this movie, Viola doesn’t have a voice part.

Not just her hair, her face is looking really mask-like. I know it’s probably just the makeup but yeah…combined with the hair, it all comes off as a bit plastic and freaky.

She’s been with him the whole time, there have been reports and photos of Casper with her for months, at several award shows after parties or even on redcarpet in the background waiting for her. When it comes to her love life, JLO needs to stay in therapy,something is just not right there with her.
Her legs look pretty, but the dress is giving a whatever happened to baby-jane vibe on a late 40’s person and Her face is pretty but ,is looking way too hard botoxed.
RiRi’s dress looks like my Aunts 1960’s prom dress and the fit is bad. RiRi and JLO are both beauties , just bad outfits in this outing and JLO a bit too much botox.

Not fond of either outfit. Ms. Lopez’s dress would look cute on a tweener, not her, but nice shoes. Ms. RiRi’s dress is poorly tailored plus bad shoes. Viola Davis dressed down so her daughter being dressed up shone the light on her little one. Ms. Davis gets my vote for best dressed.

I agree ATL. This was a afternoon, kids film premiere so casual would be the way to go. Even Parsons is over dressed.

I think JLo and her daughter should have exchanged dress lengths. Wearing a child’s party dress is just wrong. That dress looks silly on JLo but would have been cute on her daughter. Viola and her daughter are fab.
Viola looks dressed down because she could. Comfort appeared the goal over dressing casual so her daughter would shine. I just think that’s a stretch as the primary motivation.
And yea JLo is wearing a dress bett suited to someone in the single digit ages.
The kids win. Lopez and Rhianna look chav. At least Lopez didn’t bring the PornPout… Hang on. I just looked at the first pic. That fringe on Rhianna is hideous.
Umm is Ms. Lopez wearing an anklet? I can’t help, I will forever think anklets are completely tacky. And her dress is verging on ice skater territory, but AT LEAST she covered up for a children’s premiere. Small victories!

I hate Rihanna’s dress (but then again I hate almost all Raf Simons for Dior). Jennifer’s dress looks cheap but her kids are very well dressed (no comment on Casper and his crazy boots). Viola’s daughter is so cute!

Viola Davis gets my vote. Jennifer looks way too twee for 40-something year old grown woman and that dress on Rhianna is hideous. Why do people even want to wear Dior?

Before I clicked, I thought “Rihanna is ALWAYS best dressed,” but her dress is ill-fitting, the makeup is too dramatic for it. Jo looks great, although the hem could come down a couple inches.

Ugly fabric,tailoring and design, it ruins her amazing figure and makes her look shapeless. Rihanna can’t wear everything, there are some clothes that terrible that she can’t support them. She looks like an old lady here.

God I love JLos figure. To me it’s perfect; nice round bottom, small waist, shapely legs. She’s such a peach. And you know how she always has that cute baby hair thing going on around the forehead? Her daughter has it too. Adorable.
