Kim & Khloe Kardashian were literally greeted like royalty in Armenia

135316PCN_KimFamily13

Kim Kardashian, North West, Kanye West and Khloe Kardashian arrived in Armenia yesterday. And Armenia was really happy about it. Some of you suggested that Armenians hate all things Kardashian. Not so much! As soon as the Kardashian-West Klan arrived, it was like a royal visit. They were greeted at the airport with a full phalanx of cameras, reporters and breaking-news live streaming coverage.

I wasn’t joking when I said it’s like a royal visit. It looks like members of the Armenian military were there to greet them, and they were welcomed with platters of food held by traditionally-dressed Armenian ladies. Since I actually don’t have a hate-on for all things Kardashian… I think this is sort of cool. It’s not like Armenia is some big celebrity hot-spot, so let the Armenian people enjoy their “celebrity” kin.

In the midst of all that, Vogue published a short new interview with Kim online – go here to read. Kim’s just shilling her kids’ clothing line and I rolled my eyes at this quote “It’s just something that I think was really missing—an affordable line that was really cute and stylish.” Yes, no one else but the Kardashians were making affordable, cute kids’ clothes.

I am ashamed of my people.

    • paola says:

I’m sorry for my ignorance and i’m too lazy to google. What kind of language armenian is? a mix of turkish, arabic and russian?
sorry if this offends you in any way,

      • meme says:

of course I’m not offended. Armenian is its own language and there are different dialects. It has been influenced by the languages you reference plus Iranian. It’s considered Indo-European.

      • paola says:

What would you say it sounds more like? turkish?
i bet you can understand turkish, russian, iranian and arabic too.
i am italian but i easily understand spanish and french.

      • meme says:

Actually, I can barely understand Armenian and only know a few phrases because my parents only spoke in Armenian when they didn’t want us kids to understand what they were saying! It definitely sounds Turkish.

      • Marine says:

        Hi,

As someone who understands Armenian but not Turkish, Russian or Arabic, I can say that there are a handful of words from those languages we incorporate into our language but mainly it does not sound like any of those languages so it’s not easy to understand any of those languages by simply knowing Armenian lol

      • Neonscream says:

Paola there are as many if not more commonailties between English and Arabic than Armenian and Arabic. There’s no reason why an Armenian (Indo European) speaker would have any advantage over anyone else in understanding Russian (Slavic), Turkish (Turkic) or Arabic (Afro Asiatic).

Spanish, Italian and French are all Romance languages and therefore the similarities are enough that speakers of those languages can generally get by in the other. Farsi (what people in Iran speak) is a slightly closer language as it also stems from the Indo European but still nothing like the similarities between Romance languages.

    • Christo says:

She is actually from the recently discovered country of Botoxia off the Juvaderm Isles. She shares the many features of all the people found there.

    • me says:

They met with the Prime Minister of Armenia today. He said he was really proud of them. Do the people of Armenia not have any other Armenians to be proud of? Does the PM really know who Kim is and how she got famous? Why are they getting treated like royalty? They are just reality show stars who got famous for doing nothing (other than Ray-J). How can an entire country want to claim these fools as their own?

    • Kat says:

Funny, when I read that the Kardashian-West clan was headed to Armenia (100 years after the genocide, no less), the only thing I could think was, ‘hasn’t this country suffered enough?’

      • nic says:

Hi there. As someone with relatives who dies in the Armenian genocide, who grew up with a grandmother traumatized by a childhood hiding in Turkey as an Armenian, this kind of comment belittles the suffering and death of millions. It’s one thing to say, like the first commenter that you’re embarrassed by the display of sycophantic celebrity worship, although I don’t feel that way – let people have the role models that are available to them and don’t pretend to know what it’s like to finally see someone you relate to in Western media as an Armenian at home. But that comment isnt insulting. It’s a legitimate opinion. It’s something totally different to pretend that having a visiting celebrity arrive adds to the suffering of a genocide. You’re not the only one guilty of this kind of flippancy so this criticism isn’t just aimed at you but next time you’re tempted to make a comment like this, consider what you would say if someone made a Holocaust joke and then consider both that the Armenian genocide is unrecognized in America and that the Kardashian’s celebrity and this visit are bringing valuable attention to this fact.

      • Stoned Housewife says:

        @nic I hear ya <3

    • Anne tommy says:

They have a lot in common with royalty. Expensive tastes, fawning devotees, And no particular usefulness or talent.

  2. Snazzy says:

I can’t hate on her for this. Like so many people said in the last post, it’s always a good thing to go and explore your roots. And doing it as a family (with kids, siblings, cousins, yeezuses) is even better

    • Christo says:

For her , exploring her “roots” involves a transitional ombre hairstyle that takes her back to full-on brunette from blonde.

    • paola says:

Sorry but if she loved her roots so much why did she butcher her armenians looks off?
Plus I’m sure she isn’t interested in much apart from beauty products, money and expensive clothes.
If you asked her to pinpoint where she is at right now on a map she would blankly stare waiting for clues.
      This is for their show.
I find unbelievable that they force that kid through flights across the globes so very often. Jet lag is worse for kids and North needs something to call home instead of a plane at the ready.

      • briargal says:

What a picture of Kim–her standing in front of a world map and she is looking all over the US concentrating on CA trying to find Armenia. Then glancing up at Kanye who would be looking all over France trying to find it. And they both say “It’s here somewhere.”

      • Joy says:

That’s really true about her looks. I hadn’t really thought of that.

      • Snazzy says:

oh please, I’m of Indian origin, so if I get a haircut it means I’m not interested in my origins? Come on! Look, I am not a fan of the K Klan at all, but in this kind of thing, I don’t see the need for all the hate.

      • paola says:

        @Snazzy
I hope you’re joking because the lenght Kim Kardashian has gone trough the years to delete her original face goes far beyond a haircut.
She has nothing left of any heritage: armenian, american or whatever you feel she belongs to.
All i see is a cat face with lips too big, nose too short, protrudent cheekbones and plastered skin. she looks like if she’s made of wax, not human anymore.

      • me says:

Not only that but the only time I’ve ever heard of Kim talk about being Armenian in interviews, the only thing she says is “I had to get all my body hair lasered because Armenians are so hairy”. That statement in and of itself is offensive. Other than that, I don’t think she knows much about her heritage. Hopefully she will learn something on this trip but I doubt it. I mean did they really need to bring their hair and make-up team with them? It’s all about photo ops. Also, Kim needs to stay in the news hardcore because her selfie book is about to release and she needs all the press she can get.

      • Anna says:

Tbh if she really hated her Armenian looks so much that she had to get plastic surgery, instead of hating her for it we should realize that she was taught to hate those features and that we should prevent this kind of self-hatred for “ethnic” features for people of all minorities. It happens with a lot of people unfortunately and attacking Kim for changing her appearance isn’t doing anything positive, it’s just really mean (especially to do it in this way).

If she wants to learn more about her heritage now because it is the 100th anniversary of the genocide then there’s nothing wrong with that either. She’s always spoken about the genocide and it’s not like there’s a timeline on when you can learn about your heritage lol

      • TeaAndSympathy says:

Head over to DM and see the pics of them sightseeing. Pay attention to their attire…

      • TeaAndSympathy says:

Anna, DM claims that a Kardashian rep has stated they are not there for the 100th anniversary of the AG. They are visiting Armenia to simply get back to their roots. Make of that what you will…

      • me says:

I just checked the DM pics out…no sign of Nori or Kanye. I thought they were there to soak in the culture as well? Poor Nori is always stuck in a hotel room.

  3. Crumpet says:

Poor Nori. Every photo of her with Kim or Kanye has her pushing away from them looking for her nanny. I hope for Nori’s sake they plan to employ that woman until North is an adult.

    Bleh.

    • Anna says:

No it’s not, she’s just stressed out about all the paparazzi. If you watch any videos where they’re surrounding them it’s because there’s so many cameras close to her face (for example when they were at LAX). It really has nothing to do with a nanny lol that “reason” is so tired and overused.

      • swack says:

Then they should stop calling the paparazzi and take a private plane out of a smaller airport if it is stressing her out so much. THEY put her in this position.

      • jwoolman says:

Nori is not stressed out by paparazzi. She looks stressed with Kim when there is obviously only one person (well known to Nori) holding the camera. We have video of the kid in a situation with several paps when she got separated from Kim, and she was calm as a tiny cucumber, just looking curiously at the paps. Look at the way Nori clenches her fist even in “home” photos. Kim is the center of her stress, Kim just grabs her for the photos and the kid doesn’t want to cooperate with this emotionally cold woman. Kim just needs to stop using that child as a prop for the cameras. Let Kanye carry Nori if they can’t bear acknowledging the nanny, she seems relaxed with him.

Kim hasn’t bonded with Nori because Kim has big problems that need real therapy. Pointing that out does not mean we are “haters”. I don’t hate Kim, although I dislike her because of the harm she causes others, including her child. But I realize that Kim is the way she is because she is damaged. I don’t know if she can be fixed, but she doesn’t seem like a happy person to me. I wish that she can be fixed, for her sake and the sake of others around her such as Nori.

      • Tifygodess24 says:

Anna , let me guess you are a fan? Haha

      • Crumpet says:

Hey Anna, I have a project for you. Find just ONE photo of Nori where she is looking her mother in the face.

      • Mare says:

Then why did Kanye hire his own photographers to follow them around? If they do take North anywhere it’s always on late night flights when the poor child should be sleeping.

      • Ava says:

Jwoolmann, im no kim fan but you absolutely dont know if kim is cold to kids or her daughter and how her relationship is with her daughter. Kim may be a famew…. But we cant relate that to her as a mother. Its not fair. Many celebritys use their children, that doesnt mean that they dont have a loving relationship. After all, shes also just human. Some people forget that.

    • Blackcat says:

I agree. North does push away from her parents. When either Kim or Kanye carry her, she doesn’t seek comfort from them by leaning her body into them and putting her arms around their necks. The majority of photos I’ve seen, North looks uncomfortable, stressed and appears to want to get out of Kim’s or Kanye’s arms. I hope North has someone with whom she feels emotionally and physically safe-some nurturing presence in her life.

I hate that they constantly expose her to crowds of people, paparazzi and multitudes of flash bulbs.

I so hope they do not have another child.

      • Ava says:

Blackcat, well i really think this has more to do with kids beeing curious about the things that happens around them. Ive seen pics where nori leans on kim and put her arms around her.

      • Crumpet says:

But she is never grasping either of them with her hands. When my daughter was that age she would grip with a strength that was surprising, especially in new situations, while her head swiveled from side to side. But Nori always has her hands curled in – she doesn’t want to be held by either of them. It is as plain as day.

  4. LAK says:

Look at that baby with her hair out. So, so cute. It’s a shame her hair is always slicked down or tied back.

    • Little Darling says:

North is just beautiful! I love it when her hair isn’t slicked back or pulled back!

    • Sofia says:

      +1
I don’t know why they always slick back North’s hair. Curls out = adorable

      • jwoolman says:

I think it’s just Kim who pulls/slicks her hair back to make it look straight. Maybe to match Kim, along with the awful Kim-like clothing they foist on the kid. At least, the only times I see the baby with her natural curls loose, she’s prominently with Kanye. It looks much more comfortable for a baby’s tender scalp.

      • Bess says:

Kim probably has a problem with black hair.

      • Nic919 says:

She needs to watch the Chris Rock documentary about black hair. She is currently pretending to care about her Armenian heritage but has modified her face and body to remove any Armenian features. She is now imposing her twisted sense of beauty on her half black and half Armenian child.

    • maeliz says:

Finally her shelacked curls are loose. Kim and Kanye should keep it this way. Much cuter

    • chaine says:

      Her natural curls are adorable.

    • Reece says:

      MTE Freedom for the curls.

    • Jessiebes says:

Agreed. Her hair is so gorgeous like this.

    • Ava says:

Do we realy have to discuss the hairstyle of kids? If kim likes it thta way, who cares? Its her child. Im no kim fan but the judgemental she gets is disproportionate

  5. Little Darling says:

Will her head be able to fit in the doors?

    • paola says:

The head easily. the ass not so much.

      • word says:

Her ass is slowly and discretely getting smaller (I think she’s been having fat taken out of it ever so slowly so it won’t be too noticeable at first). She’ll say it was due to diet and exercise though.

  6. Renee says:

Regardless of anything else that we can say about them Kim, Rob and their sisters have always been proud of their Armenian heritage and Kim has actually spoken out about the Armenian genocide. I think that her father would have been proud of her for this, and I actually felt touched when I read that.

    • Eleonor says:

      This.
If all her famewhoring can do something good like make people interested in what the Armenian genocide was, that would be a good thing.

    • Snazzy says:

yes exactly – I mean, like em, hate em, whatever. But I can’t really hate on this …

    • swack says:

If you believe everything you read, then over on DM their publicists have denied they are going over there for the anniversary of the Armenian genocide.

      • me says:

They are only there for eight days…they’ll be back in LA before the anniversary. They want to be in LA when Bruce has his big interview with Diane Sawyer. They are probably worried about what he might say and need to be on stand-by for all the pr his interview is going to bring them. Kim probably has her “post Bruce interview” outfit all picked out and everything.

      • Renee says:

Nope, I am responding to what I have seen and read in years PRIOR. On OTHER occasions Kim has spoken out about it. I don’t recall stating that she was going over there specifically to address it or anything like that in my earlier comment. Please don’t put words into my mouth.

      • swack says:

Wasn’t trying to put words in your mouth but it did not sound like you were refering to years prior. Using the word “has” could refer to yesterday or 10 years ago. Just saying. I apologize if I have angered you.

  7. MG says:

God help us. I was hoping their 15 minutes were almost up. This family truly represents what’s wrong in the world, and people love them. I’m depressed.

    • meme says:

This is just another photo op for them. I’m proud of my Armenian heritage and every Armenian I know can’t stand this family. The only good thing is Armenia will get some exposure right before the 100th Anniversary of the Genocide.

      • jwoolman says:

Yes, they will draw attention to the anniversary. I can’t imagine that people in Armenia are that gaga over them otherwise – people here in the US of Armenian extraction just seem embarrassed. The Kardashian Krew is so krude.

They have mentioned their Armenian ancestry on the show, however- they go to an Armenian restaurant in memory of their dad once a year. But they dumped connections with his Armenian Catholic Church in favor of the generic Protestant church their mom bought, er, founded, er, supported as a tax shelter so their connection seemed only through food. I don’t recall anything about the Armenian side of their family, but I don’t really watch the show (it’s just hard to avoid long promos on E! if you watch anything else), so can’t be sure if it was ignored or not. But it sounds as though they brought some cousins on their dad’s side for this trip?

      • me says:

@jwoolman – they did bring some cousins a long for the trip but I bet they are there as interpreters. Also, if Kim is so connected to her Armenian routes why didn’t she incorporated any Armenian traditions in to one of her many weddings? You’d think she’d want to include her dad’s culture somehow.

      • Jessiebes says:

Forgive my ignorance but I did not know about that Genocide. And now I will look it up and learn. Not thanks to the K family, but thanks to you.

    • Jessica says:

They’ll be around until people stop showing interest by reading and commenting like we are.
This trip was probably paid by E, and taped for the show for all their fans to watch

      • briargal says:

Why don’t stupid ignorant people just stop watching this obnoxious show?? Then this whole family would finally complete the flushing action instead of just sitting in the toilet bowl!

      • melissa says:

I know what you mean Jessica. Obviously we’re all here reading and commenting, and on Daily Mail there’s tons about the family. I have never watched the show, but I read these articles and comments adding to the number of people who look interested in the family unfortunately. Even bad comments show people are still interested in the family

      • jwoolman says:

Well, of course it was paid for by E! and of course it’s for the show. Everything always is. Kim even brought E! photographers along on her honeymoon with husband #2. I’m not sure the Kardashians actually exist off-camera.

    • TeaAndSympathy says:

You need wine, MG. I’ll pour. Red or white?

      • MG says:

        I’m a whiskey girl. I’ll take a crown and seven. 🙂

      • TeaAndSympathy says:

Whiskey, thou say? I check the liquor stash. Hopefully, that drunken lot from Saturday didn’t polish it all off…

    • Sara says:

+1000. What a strange world we live in.

  8. ToodySezHey says:

    How much was everyone paid?

  9. Aye says:

This is sad. I’m still convinced that the Kartrashians are on the payroll of the Turkish government so the good name of the Armenian people is forever tainted.

  10. Tiffany says:

Kim is LITERALLY busting out of her pants. That zipper is hanging on for dear life.

    • Maefabulous says:

      IKR?

Looks effing painful. No wonder she looks so p*ssed off.

    • Lama Bean says:

Begging for mercy. The waistline in those jeans is stretched to the point of the button popping off.

    • launicaangelina says:

I was wondering how she could handle those pants on a long flight. O_O

      • Chem says:

Wait. So what do americans wear instead? This jeans are so normal to me.
Also my jeans look like that too because I sew them on the sides so they fit me better, that is why the zipper is a little open not because they are too tight. 😉

    • Kitten says:

I hate to use the term “FUPA” but I think it definitely applies here, and that is not an area that any well-tailored pair of pants should emphasize.

      • me says:

Not only that but how did she sit in those jeans on a plane for that many hours ? I’m guessing she changed on the flight?

      • Chem says:

I had to google that word and it’s terrible that it exists.
You know there was a baby there right? And we all gave our mothers a ¨FUPA¨.
It’s ridiculous that people are pointing that out.

      • Nic919 says:

Her pants don’t fit because she doesn’t wear the right size. It has nothing to do with giving birth but not accepting her body for what it is. This is a person who has modified her body to such a degree that she is unrecognizable whereas millions of mothers wear pants that fit and don’t pretend to be a size they are not, not have they gotten tons of surgery on their face and body.

    • Sofia says:

Her zip is one of the first things I noticed in that top picture! She needs to stop with the vanity sizing and just wear clothes that fit. She would looks tons better.

  11. paola says:

    #freenorth

  12. Joy says:

Real question here, why are they just now getting around to going? I would love to visit my ancestral home, but alas I’m poor. They jet set all of the planet. Why just NOW are they going there?

    • word says:

Because E finally agreed to pay for the trip and film it. They are running out of story lines and they need the pr.

    • tifzlan says:

My thoughts as well. She’s lived a privileged life and it’s a good thing that she has decided to visit Armenia and learn more about her heritage but why hadn’t she already done it years before?

      • Chrissy says:

I would think that they might have made the trip while their father was alive if their Armenia heritage was so important to them. That would have made more sense than this publicity stunt.

    • jwoolman says:

With the anniversary of the genocide coming up, it was easy to get government etc. to cooperate with the network for the kinds of things seen in this story. The notoriety of the Kardashians brings foreign media attention to something of national importance. So it’s win-win. The Armenians get focus on what they want, and the network gets to make it seem that the Kardashians are important and beloved despite their lousy Q ratings. They’re fakes, but in this case they are useful fakes.

Is Kanye well known/well liked in Armenia? If so, that would be another factor explaining the timing. They really could have easily visited Armenia every year in memory of their dad rather than just going to a local restaurant…. They were rich enough to be able to immerse themselves in their Armenian heritage repeatedly even if just as part of their other trips, just stopovers in Armenia.

Is Kourtney coming on this jaunt? She and her kids actually look Armenian.

      • me says:

I watched a very old episode of their show where they stated they had never been to their father’s grave site as it was just too emotional for them (fair enough, everyone mourns differently). However, Kim finally went to his grave site right before her marriage to Humphries. The visit was filmed and aired on their show. This family does everything for ratings.

      • Chrissy says:

I guess travelling with a newborn and two other little ones would be difficult. My question is, why is Khloe even there? She 0% Armenian. The most Armenian thing about her is her name.

        Sorry, wrong place…

  13. Jenny says:

I just think it’s funny that her husband and daughter came along to see “her” heritage and learn about “her” ancestors. At the very least, aren’t they North’s, too?

    • grace says:

I’m not a fan of any of them, but he’s her husband and the father of her daughter. Their daughter has Armenian heritage in her, so why shouldn’t he go to see these things

      • FingerBinger says:

I think Jenny’s has a problem with how Kim worded her comment. Not the comment itself.

      • Jenny says:

Exactly, FingerBinger. The way she writes it, they came along for “her” family, when in reality, North shares those same genes and Kanye married into them. But nothing was said about North’s ancestory, just HERS. Simple statement, but I think things like that speak volumes. It’s all about attention for Kim.

  14. Dani says:

Their clothing line for kids isn’t actually affordable. Some of their things are priced higher than Zara’s kids clothing and isn’t even half the quality of Zara. They’re also only sold at like Babies R Us, as far as I’ve seen in NYC. They have the tiniest section at my local BRU, maybe two racks? I needed black leggings for my 19 month old once and they had them, for $30! I can get her an entire Ralph Lauren outfit at Macy’s for $30.

    • maeliz says:

Affordable for a Kardashian to buy. She doesn’t know what affordable really is because she’s comes from a rich family and all of her daughters clothes were given to them by designers

  15. Red32 says:

Why would anyone buy Kardashian kids’ clothes? We’ve seen how they dress North. I don’t want my kids to look like they’re running a mortuary-by-day, brothel-by-night operation.

  16. Mop top says:

Khloe is not even Armenian. ❔❔

    • meme says:

And the rest of them are only half Armenian.

    • jwoolman says:

Khloe certainly is half Armenian, whether by genetics or by adoption. Her real dad was Robert Kardashian by deliberate choice, regardless of doubts about her sperm donor.

    • Mylene - Montreal says:

Exact !! She’s all American ! BIG JOKE ! Where is Kourtney when we need her

    • so says:

      my thoughts exactly !
I saw a picture of Kim and Klhoe with their Armenian cousins, it was painfully obvious : a bunch of short, dark-haired women and a giant blonde in the middle.

  17. ToodySezHey says:

    Dead@ mortuary-by-day , brothel-by-night operation. Lmao!

  18. Tiffany27 says:

How did all of Armenia know when they would be there? And OMG please leave Nori’s hair like this. Those little curls are too cute!

    • judy says:

The whole world knew they would be there.
She looks better with curls like Kim did with short hair. Kanye will slick it back again soon to ruin this good look

  19. Nicolette says:

I guess the bar for who’s considered worthy of royal treatment is set really low these days.

  20. CarrieUK says:

I’m really not a fan of the Kard-Wests but after watching clips of them going car to airport I can see why little North (gorgeous!) always looks stressed, the serious amount of camera flashes is insane. I can see why it looks like she’s not comfortable with Kim/Kanye but I don’t think it’s their parenting skills etc.
My daughter is 18 months old and if this crap was happening around her I’d lose my sh*t, I’m not sure what the options would be at the airport but that’s got to be horrible for the poor kid 🙁

    • swack says:

You do realize that they call the paps to let them know where they are. If they truly wanted to go incognito they could. They have enough money to use private planes out of smaller airports where paps don’t gather and not call the paps. THEY put North in this situation when they don’t have to do so.

      • word says:

Exactly. They could have went to Armenia quietly. They made sure every news outlet knew when they would be landing and what hotel they were staying at. The E cameras captured it all for our viewing pleasure.

    • judy says:

I don’t know how it is for North. Since she was born, she’s always had cameras and people in her face, so it’s just an everyday thing. Any kid her age that isn’t used to all the noise, cameras, and people, would probably scream and cry. She looks so much like her dad who never has much of an expression on his face. Her being dragged all over the world, spending more time on airplanes than at home must be exhausting for her

    • jwoolman says:

If Nori were worried about paps and cameras, she would be crying and burying her head in the chest of her parent, grabbing onto them, etc. She doesn’t do that. She actually distances herself from Kim. Nori shows other signs of deep stress and lack of bonding when held by Kim, but that is unrelated to paps and we see it on pictures taken with zoom lenses and at home. Kim is the problem, not Kim’s pap colleagues.

      • krissy says:

I don’t think she is very worried all the cameras and paparazzi either. The unhappy face she usually has is probably because she’s confused with looking at all the people. Any other kid would run and scream with all that going on. She seems calm and good with it. Kim and Kanye must have the nanny stay close so North can see

    • TeaAndSympathy says:

Not only that, word, but they made the plane with only ten minutes to spare. The drama! They also didn’t use the indoor corridor thingies to board like everyone else – they went outside and took the stairs to the plane.

      • word says:

Are you serious? Normal citizens wouldn’t get that kind of special attention. We have to show up 3 hours before an international flight. Of course they took the stairs to the plane, they are special and need to make a royal entrance you know. Any normal person would have been denied entry to the flight and been told “too bad you’re late”.

  21. lassie says:

That poor baby. She looks miserable and scared with all those people rushing at her. What kind of mother trots her own child around in that chaos?

  22. Kim’s zipper is bursting, did they take all those paps along on the plane? North is pushing away from Kanye, and her hair is so pretty when its loose.

  23. Lauren says:

I was researching a for my history paper last night on the Punic wars and I kid you not people what came up in the database before anything else was ‘the cultural significance of Kanye West’. Lol I will leave it at that people. Kanye makes historical changes wherever he goes! Yeezus and Kim made history in Armenia ; )

  24. The fact this woman is viewed by so many as an icon is a sure sign of the apocalypse.
I will not shade her for profiting from the sex tape that would’ve destroyed a lesser person; but to try and make her a role model sickens me. She’s vain, pretentious, vapid, uncultured, and ignorant. Not anyone I’d choose to emulate. To each their own, I guess.

  25. Franca says:

I really doubt people there are proud of her. But she and Kanye are huge celebrities and they bring a lot of exposure to Armenia. How many people know or want to visit Armenia? The more they come, the more exposure they bring.

  26. pandabird says:

It’ll be embarrassing when they google up why she’s “famous”.

  27. word says:

They also brought a long their hair and make-up people as well as the E cameras. Let’s not forget this is a storyline for their show. They are getting paid to be there. Kim knows as much about Armenian culture as Kanye does…so it’s good they can both learn at the same time. Also, I love Nori’s hair all natural like that. She is so cute !

  28. ashley says:

I’m loving the defense of the Kardashians on these comments! Yes!! I think it’s fantastic that they appreciate their heritage. I’m Greek and I totally get it – it feels like coming home to visit, but it’s a big trip and a big deal. I think it’s cool they got everyone together to come. And Kim is pulled a little tight but she is still an Armenian beauty IMO.

  29. Mylene - Montreal says:

    She’s pregnant

  30. Mylene - Montreal says:

And .. i think it’s bad very bad to expose North at all this circus with flash and crazy people who screaming … TAKE A PRIVATE FLY !!!! How bad they are ? They prefer the attention at the airport, the crazy 5-10 minutes … i saw a video when they are at LAX .. North is totally afraid !!!!! i feel bad for her ….

  31. LMS says:

Mmm…platters of Armenian food. I am seriously envious.

  32. Mylene - Montreal says:

And for the Kardashian Kids … Do u watch the show ? They go on some office .. and people show them clothes, they say yes OR no ! and they say “We are Designer” after that !!!!! ya RIGHT !

    • yessy says:

Yes I saw that too. They walked into the office and people showed them kids’ clothing and they either said “yes I like that” or “no I don’t like that”. That’s all they do with regards to their clothing line. Other people do all the work for them. They aren’t designing anything.

  33. Iheartgossip says:

Because one can get any type of reception if one has the money to pay for it. I don’t believe one thing this Tramp Camp ever says. Plus, I’m sure there is a Train Sex appointment to fulfill as well.

  34. CH2 says:

I’m Armenian and I’m really sad to see this. I hope they’re getting something really huge out of this… like a big charitable contribution or something… otherwise… YUCK!

  35. mootwo says:

    ew

  36. Fue McCormick says:

I find it hilarious when parents think kids this age will remember anything. If they really want the kid to remember it they’d take her again in 12 years.
Personally I think they lug the kid along because they probably get more Pap’d that way.
I just don’t get them and would never purchase anything they’re shilling.

  37. KatieD says:

Everytime I see Kim in those ridiculous sunglasses, I think of the huge sunglasses that 90 year olds wear OVER their regular glasses. Lol. They look awful.

  38. lindy loo says:

When I see a picture of these fame whores sitting across from Armenian politicians, I’m truly astounded. That any of the Kardashians are “famous” shows how far America has fallen.
