Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian launching the ‘Kardashian Beauty Hair’ line at Marionnaud in Paris yesterday. Her dress is all one piece, in case you were wondering. There’s a cut-out at the waist and the top and bottom are connected at the sides, then there’s a tie-back. Overall, this kind of dress is made for someone built like Taylor Swift. We’re supposed to be able to see the cut-out, and the faux-bandeau is supposed to “sit up” a lot higher than we’re seeing on Kim. So, basically, another styling failure. Why does Kim always make it so complicated? Granted, it’s more difficult to dress someone curvy AND short. But Kim makes it so much harder on herself. Here’s my something nice: I don’t hate the fabric at all. If this had straps and no waist cut-out, this might have been a good look.

*There was a rumor that Kim and Kanye were going to renew their vows in Paris. We’re coming up on their first wedding anniversary and while I’m sure it’s going to get crazy and superficial, Gossip Cop says that Kimye will not be renewing their vows in Paris. Sad.
*I’m starting to wonder what Kim and Kanye will wear to the Met Gala. They’ve gone to the Met Gala two years in a row – I’m sure they’ll be going this year. And I’m sure that Kim’s dress is going to be hideous.
*Various media outlets are running “exclusive first looks” at Kim’s book of selfies. These first looks are nothing special if you spend any time looking at Kim’s Instagram.
*You know how Kim and Kanye had North baptized in Israel this week, and Kimye went to dinner with the mayor of Jerusalem and there were photos? Well, “ultra-orthodox” media outlets edited Kim from the photos. Because she’s a p0rn star. Seriously.

Sofia Vergara has mastered dressing well for her curves, it makes a huge difference and she looks gorgeous. I’m beginning to think K is doing it on purpose to keep people talking negatively, lots of gossip!
I agree, she does have a cute body. This dress would be a home run if it had straps (she looks about one wrong move from falling out of the top) and if it had a belt to draw in the waist vs the barely visible cut out. She could look so fabulous if she’d only follow a few basic fashion ‘do’s’ instead of trying to look so model-like all the time. She just does not have the body for that. I’m similarly built, minus the giant fake boobs and butt, and have to be careful about what I wear to not look bigger than I am.
@prettylights I feel like Kim used to do a really good job of dressing her body pre-Kanye. I can somewhat understand why he found it necessary to do a makeover on her because the majority of the time I did think her taste could be very tacky, but she knew what cuts worked for her. I think aside from all the makeup and the nips and tucks on her face here and there that Kim is really pretty and that she used to be gorgeous. She doesn’t need all the “razzle-dazzle” ill-fitting clothing Kanye seems to like putting her in.

I agree Michelle, she used to wear some really adorable age-appropriate and flattering things before Kanye. That blue dress pic – she looks great! Nothing hanging out, tight but not too tight, and the sleeves offer some modesty and support but don’t look matronly. Sigh Kim, sigh. She truly was gorgeous (and her body was much cuter without the butt injections) and now she looks so plastic and alien. Still beautiful, but there’s just something off and so fake about her face now – I think she nipped and tucked until her face is too perfect, if that makes sense. I think she really is trying to morph into a mannequin.
I completely 100% agree that Kim has a lovely figure and could dress it in more flattering ways.
That being said…Sofia V. isn’t a good comparison. She is much taller than Kim, and her hips and bunz (while very toned) are TINY! You’d think that she has thicker hips, but really, her waist just goes in so far that it makes it look like she has curvy hips. In real life, Sofia’s butt looks like it is 12 only inches across.

I actually disagree, the old adage, of all press being good press is not so true in modern times. Kardashian over saturation will destroy them, and we’ll all warm ourselves off the glow.
Her face looks very different from just a few weeks ago. Her “sausage casing chic” style only makes her look dumpy. She could look good if she dressed for her body type. Very sad that an unlimited clothing budget doesn’t mean a thing.
Just proves that money can’t buy everything (taste, class, clothes that fit properly, a face that doesn’t look like a Realdoll, etc etc etc).

I know I always say this, but I truly, truly, truly believe Kim wears unflattering things on purpose. She wants to be talked about. Period. Once in a blue moon she wears something really cute, but cute outfits don’t get her talked about.
I agree with that. Surely no one would do what she has done to her body and dress the way she does and think that it looks good. I guess it’s become her job to always display herself, and do so in a way that people look. No one is fabulous enough to always have attention for just being pretty, and certainly not her, so she’s taken another route. America apparently likes a train crash, and she keeps providing it.

I was just thinking the same thing. If she didn’t dress horribly, no one would write about her. And that is her idea of a disaster! So she dresses to look wretched.
See I don’t even know if it’s that – like I think she definitely does dress in a way that she sees as deliberately provocative but also super ‘fashion’, rather than that she knows it’s bad. I think she (or more likely Kanye) probably sees cute as beneath them, or at least the new ‘on vogue, friends with Anna Wintour’ image that they’re trying to project, that they’re trying so hard to be ‘high fashion’ without even thinking about if she looks good in it.
Let’s talk about the hair. She is promoting hair care products but her hair looks like it needs to be washed. It looks either greasy or there is too much product in her hair.

I agree with Swack. For someone whose hair usually looks very good, it looks flat and lifeless here, and like she has split ends. She must wear wigs quite a bit because this doesn’t even look like human hair, and the changes are too drastic for it to be hers. Maybe this is her flat, real hair and everything else is a wig. I also don’t get why celebs who so very obviously wear wigs and extensions promote hair products. It is sheer stupidity to think your hair product will make your hair look as good as someone whose hair isn’t even all hers.
I was actually going to say I thought it was strange that she’s promoting hair care when this is either extensions or a wig, based on the fact that she was Lucius Malfoy 2 weeks ago. Or that was a Lucius Malfoy wig 2 weeks ago. Either way, she’s not the first person I think of when I think “hair expert”
My bottom line is whatever product a KarTrashian and now Jenner is hawking it means I am not spending my money on it. Especially if they put their name on it. Their products are made on the cheap and sold for too much.

It is an ultra-orthodox news site, so it seems very logical that a porn star (which is how she started out) would be edited out. People with ultra-orthodox beliefs are never going to cozy up to someone who got famous with a sex tape. They’re con-ser-va-tive, people. Not really. As someone else pointed out, they also cut out Angela Merkel, and she’s a respected politician in her own right in international affairs (and kind of insulting if you ask me since Germany lavishes many new weaponry on Israel for free, and dares not criticize them in the UN).

On another note – She looks more sophisticated – and classier, even sexier – with shorter, shoulder length hair she had a few weeks ago, imo. Why many women insist on long hair (extensions) is beyond me. After a certain maturity in the face, shoulder length looks so much better. Again, imo.

Agree that KK looked better with the shorter hair but that’s likely because the rest of the time she has extensions and no matter how good the quality extensions never look quite right. I’m very nearly 40 and have very long hair. Roughly once a week a complete stranger tells me how great my hair is. I always assumed that at some point I’d go for a “grown up” length but it hasn’t happened yet. Some faces look better with some length.
Yes some mature women look fantastic with long hair. I’d probably be one of those random strangers that would compliment you because I’m always looking at women’s hair. That sounded creepier than I meant it to.
But I do agree that Kim’s hair was FANTASTIC without the extensions. It looked so light and breezy-much more youthful and soft. This look on her is way too harsh and once again, just emphasizes her alien face.
I had short hair for most of my children’s lives – more convenient. Three years ago they talked me into growing it out. I’m 61. Someone told me last night I look younger.
Yes, I think it depends on your face. There’s not a magic age where you need to have short hair. My hair was shoulder length until last year because my husband likes it that way. I really felt it was aging me, so I cut it a couple of inches, and I love it, and he even admits I look younger. But it depends on your face. I could never have truly short hair because it looks awful on me.

In the first photo w/ the coat on, I thought the cutout was a camel colored belt & was rather (surprisingly) impressed & thought this was the best of her bad fashion choices I’ve seen. … Upon discovering the belt was actually a cutout, I immediately was ashamed of my premature and unwarranted praise.

I agree with you all, Dita, Pumpkin and me. If she ever does get anything off-the-rack, she’s probably really scared of the numbers, and it’s likely (at least partly) because of what she’s done to her body. Also, I’ve seen on DM many times where they have that “shop box” thing, and it has stated that this or that outfit has been custom-made by Givenchy, Balmain or whatever, so is not available to the public. So why are they making clothes for her in such small sizes? I’d have thought she’d be guided by those who know better than her, or is it that the just make the outfits in the largest runway size? She’s not six feet tall and not a bean pole, so how does she expect to look like the runway models who wore it? Talk about deluded.

I think both the dress and the coat are very beautiful. However, the dress doesn’t look it’s best on such a large breasted woman. It would look much better on a taller, slimmer woman with smaller breasts.
If she was about 6 inches taller and didn’t have those hips or that fake butt I would think the dress would be cute. But it isn’t on her. She is just getting old and predictable and always makes it about sex and does anyone care about her anymore? All she can do is photos because her voice is so awful it is hard to listen to. Not to mention that her vocabulary sounds as if she got left behind in JR. High. Nope, this woman is pathetic with her fake face, boobs and butt and her lack of any real talent.
I think she looks good here. Everything fits and accentuates her figure. The colours are good, her hair is sleek. We’ve seen way worse. I don’t really get the criticism that she doesn’t dress for her shape because she does. She always tries to accentuate her waist, which if she didn’t, she’d look frumpy. If anyone has any idea what sort of style or silhouette she should be wearing please let me know because I don’t get it!
I honestly think she picks her outfits based on what they look like when she’s standing still and posing. Anyone looks good that way but depending on your body type, and generally, the more voluptuous you are, the more her usual style tends to shift when walking about… thus, making her look like 10 lbs of potatoes in a 5 lb bag.
But a few years ago, she always looked good. The colors and fit of her clothes suited her. And she didn’t look so much like a manikin. Maybe not as good as ten years ago before she made too many surgical changes, but much better than in recent years.
Although her face does seem more mobile lately- not quite natural, but closer to it than in a while. Has somebody advised her to attempt to smile a bit for the cameras because it looked too creepy? Or is she actually tapering off on the injections?
@shizwiz, are you looking at the same picture of Kim I am? No, she doesn’t look to great. Yes her hair looks good, but if it doesn’t she can just remove the extentions and put a wig on. She never wears clothes that fit right anymore and are usually black. The colors she’s wearing in the picture are drab, don’t go together, and don’t look good on her.

I think the problem is that she emphasizes her waist, and her chest, and her butt, nothing is tailored to fit her, and she always wears her clothing in a size or two too small. The idea of some of her clothes might be ok, but the execution is never quite right. Clothes should fit well, and hers simply do not. She also frequently wears clothes that emphasize her hips and make her look wider than she is.
She’s too short for the crop top, she wears it all the time and it cuts her off and makes her look stumpy. She should wear wrap dresses, they would accentuate her tiny waist and flatter her feminine curves. She could look amazing everyday of the year, even with the ludicrous augmentation, if she dressed for her actual build instead of Kanye’s gay fantasies.
This color is so wrong. Does nothing for her AT ALL. The cut is off too. Her legs look really short and thick. And this selfie book is seriously nauseating. I cant think of anything more narsissistic. Barf
