Bedhead covered some of the weekend photos from Coachella earlier today. She and I were complaining about how sparsely attended Coachella seems this year, but maybe celebrities have just gotten better at hiding, or they’re just hanging out in the private tents or whatever. In any case, ROBSTEN made it to Coachella. Separately.
Robert Pattinson was with Twigs on the first weekend, then Twigs performed again on Weekend 2, so she was definitely there, although most of you are saying that Rob did not come to the second weekend. On Sunday, photographers caught sight of Kristen Stewart with her girlfriend Alicia Cargile and a group of friends. Was Rob still around? Were Rob and Kristen at the same music festival at the same time? Or did their assistants coordinate their schedules to the point where Rob and Kristen never have to see each other at these things? Like, who got custody of Coachella in the breakup?! It’s joint custody – Rob gets the first weekend, Kristen gets the second?
As for Kristen and Alicia… how long have they been together now? The first reports about their relationship happened almost exactly one year ago, although they were probably dating for months before that. So Kristen has been in a serious relationship for more than a year. They seem pretty happy. Alicia looks high as hell in these photos too.
PS… Rob’s pants though. AND THE BOOTS. (CB thinks this might be Ed Westwick and he just got misidentified. What do you think?)
Update: So most of you think this dude is Ed Westwick, which it very well might be. Fame/Flynet labeled him Rob though, which is why I called him Rob.

I think it’s Ed too and those pants need to be burned. This whole Coachella festival is starting to annoy me. 90% of the people who are getting pap’d aren’t interested in the music, that just want to be seen as cool.
I also think Kristen girlfriend looks higher then a kite.

It kinda sucks that Kristen denied this girl on People magazine, though. If she doesn’t want to talk about her relationship or come out to the public, that’s fine. No mention at all of her love life would’ve been better than “She’s currently single and not seeing anybody.” If I were Alicia, I’d be pissed as hell. Why are you hiding me? Are you ashamed? Over a year of dating, living together, and she’s not even allowed to be with her on a red carpet. This girl has been patiently waiting in the sidelines for years to be with Kristen. She deserves a much better treatment. Seems like Kristen hasn’t learned sh*t. Give respect to your partner.
Yeah, why would her PR people have to add that? She doesn’t need recognize it, but don’t deny it either. And it’s weird because it doesn’t seem like she’s denying their relationship in recent pap walks and there is at least one picture I saw from Coachella where they are holding hands.

Big tabs can´t write about same-sex relaysh until someone makes a statement. She´s obviously not hiding anything and she didn´t deny anything when asked who she´s dating. These People sources are obviously the writers there who knew they would get hits out of a story with a supposed reaction from her. It was the most obviously made up BS.
People magazine is not a tabloid. They work hand in hand with publicists, and nothing gets published without the blessing of the star and their PR.
In her defense, maybe she and Alicia discussed it before the article came out (no pun intended) and Alicia was ok with it? It’s not as if we know the goings on in their relationship.
I was thinking the same. I seriously doubt that Alicia wasn’t on board with the strategy, assuming they are a couple. And if she doesn’t want to live like that, she’ll move on.
No, they are just a tabloid and they´ve been wrong a lot of times before. Their credibility comes from having the largest readership and publicists sometimes giving them exclusives like baby/engagement stories, but they have to fill in the blanks a lot of the time. Also “nothing gets published without the blessing of the star and their PR” is complete BS that gossip blogs spout, because they pretend they can decipher regular tabloids when they´re just as full of shit. People mag took a safe narrative, that shes focusing on her work bla bla bla, which can´t really be disputed.
Except the People piece did not say she was single, and as others said People isn’t always approved by publicists.

I have to agree with Roxy. I could not see any real attraction or affection between them at all. It looked like a fauxmance that was created solely to sell the movies.
This PR theory has to die. At a quick glance, I can see why people might assume PR, but there are buckets of evidence that they had a real relationship, they just tried to keep it on the down-low. In hindsight, it was not the epic love affair that some fans envisioned, but there is enough evidence to show they legitimately were together for a while.
I don’t really get why it’s a deal if Rob and Kristen went to the same festival. It’s been years, it is doubtful if they were ever a real couple, and they have clearly moved on. I think Kristen and her gf been together for a year too. KStew was filming pretty much nonstop for a while and she started getting papped a lot with the girl right after that. As far as People, if you buy her publicist fed them some story than you have to buy that Rob’s manager did too for all his stories. People sometimes is wrong though on little stories or not PR improved, and a small she moved on story seems like a common sense thing. I read that thing though, and it never says she is single. Just says work is a big priority in her life, which makes sense as it looks like she is filming a lot lately and it’s possible they aren’t that serious either. Her gf isn’t famous so it’s possible she wants it that way too. She’s clearly not hiding her relationship with her (or trying to appear straight) and she hasn’t denied it at all, she just doesn’t talk at all about her romantic life anymore which a lot of celebs do.
An article in the NYT was talking about exactly why Coachella seems so “sparsely” populated. It seems that for those who have the option, there is an increasing trend to skip the main festival altogether in favor of the multiple invite only parties in the surrounding areas. Probably a good way for the more “elite” Coachella goers to avoid getting getting papped as well as avoid mingling with the peasantry..
