After watching the Ex_Machina dance scene, that’s easy. Oscar.

    • mimif says:

I’m grotesquely excited to see that movie. I need to tone it down a notch so I’m not disappointed.

      • Abbott says:

Me too! I can’t find anyone to go with me though.

      • mimif says:

If it makes you feel any better, there’s no movie theater where I live so I have to wait til it comes out on the innanet. If you see it before me, I will be expecting a full review!

      • Abbott says:

No theater? Where do you live? Like… Canada?

      • mimif says:

I can’t believe no Canadians shut you down for being so low. 😉 Nah, I live out in the wilds of NorCal where we watch weeds grow for fun.

      • VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

I don’t even like that type of movie, and I REALLY want to see it. PLUS, for whatever reason, bald + full beard is my ladyparts kryptonite.

Mimif- I’ll watch the weeds with you until it drops on dvd in my neck of the woods (my theater is shitty and never plays anything that isn’t guaranteed to appeal to the most common denominator–they’re playing the Baby Squinty Clint’s movie)…..

      • mimif says:

@VC, what about Crimson Peak? Will you want to see that with me? I think that’s the only other movie I would travel long distances to sneak my booze into. Oh and am I allowed to be excited about the Moby Dick movie?

      • VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

        @mimif
YES, I actually want to see “Crimson Peak”…and I HATE scary movies. But PJ Harvey singing “Red Right Hand” scared the eff out of me! And honestly it reminds me of Francis Ford Coppola’s “Dracula”, with the costumes….. my only worry is that Jessica Chastain might be a little…hammy? From the trailer she seems like a typical depressed person/spinster sister..lol.

The Moby Dick movie–“Into The Heart Of The Sea”? I was not excited when I saw the trailer. Maybe I am having flashbacks from when I tried to read the book, but I think that movie’s going to be terrible. It’s going to turn the story into an action movie. Which, no. Just no.

      • Abbott says:

        I’m sure Canada has stuff.

      • VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

        @Abot
        The good stuff?

      • mimif says:

Canada has beer. And free health care. And that’s it. I’m totally moving there.

I’m talking about the Moby Dick starring Charlie Hunnam. I think someone mentioned it’s playing limited release at Wiener Barn.

      • aterho says:

        *jumps up and down*
Take me wif you guys to see Crimson Peak! Looks so so scary. I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

ETA I was so excited I forgot the T in my name. It sounds so dirty now.

    • Diana B says:

Oscar is SO fine! I didn’t really notice him on Inside Llewyn Davis but after watching A Most Violent Year, I. Am. Sold.

    • MtnRunner says:

      Oscar. All.The.Way.

  2. OhDear says:

That is one hell of a step down from Ronaldo, IMO. (I don’t find CR7 to be all that attractive, though he’s a good looking man. However, his talent, professionalism and attitude are on point.)

    • Franca says:

I like Ronaldo, even though I don’t find him all that hot. He seems like a nice person of the court.

Bradley is pushing well above his weight if this is true.

    • Kara says:

i dont think Bradley is unprofessional, Ronaldo though is one of the best in the most competitive sport in the world. Coopy wont be remembered as a legend.

i guess dating them wont be so different, they are both mostly in love with themselves and their mothers.

    • Sadie says:

Seriously. I’m also not attracted to Ronaldo, but I love him as a player. She went from a legend to Blandy McBland.

  3. Konspiracytheory says:

    F*** Cee Lo (and NBC).

  4. Jegede says:

Well after all the years bearding for Cristiano, I guess this makes sense……………………

  5. Franca says:

Domhnall Gleeson, of course. Ginger, tall and Irish, it’s hard to top that.

    • Norman Bates' Mother says:

Second that. I always try to tell myself that I shouldn’t be attracted to him, because this and that, but then I see him and yes – he does it for me. Even though I clearly see that Isaac is more classically handsome.

  6. Tiffany says:

As far as Spiderman goes, why not make it color neutral. Why does Peter have to be white.

  7. EN says:

Ooow, Irina is such a looker and she’ll be perfect. She already has years of “beard” work experience with Rinaldo. And Rinaldo also has this strange relationship with his mother like Bradley, so Irina knows what she is getting into. Plus, Bradley is a much nicer person. It is a win-win for both sides.

    • Franca says:

Is Ronaldo not a nice person? I’ve never heard of that, although I don’t really follow footballers of the court,

      • Solanaceae (Nighty) says:

Ronaldo is actually an extremely nice person… but ok…

      • EN says:

It is a matter of opinion, of course. He is not nasty, he is more along the lines of immature, irresponsible and egoistical.
        But then again, “judge not”.
He got himself a son from some woman while dating Irina, that is fact. There is a lot of gossip exactly that came about. And just that alone makes you go hmm..

      • unamadridista says:

@EN he’s none of those things actually. He’s very genial, polite, friendly, and kind. I’ve interviewed him for years and he’s always been the very opposite of the things you’ve mentioned. Don’t go by gossip rags, read real journalistic pieces about him from people who have interacted with him professionally. He’s never once been late to an appointment or kept somebody waiting (unlike many footballers who have a “nicer” reputation). As for his son, it resulted in a one-night stand while he was in the States and the woman in question wanted to give up her parental rights as she had no means to take care of the child. It’s probably not how most of us envision becoming parents, but it worked out great for him: he has a wonderful son sans gold-digging baby mama in the wings. And no need to disrespect him by calling Irina his “beard”. From what I’ve seen, it was a real relationship that ran its course because they were just looking for different things. It happens, it wasn’t tragic or scandalous.

      • minime says:

“He is not nasty, he is more along the lines of immature, irresponsible and egoistical.”

err?! We all make opinions based on thin air, but those characteristics would indicate very concrete behaviour that I still can’t understand from your comment.

He is a respected sportsman, known for being professional and pleasant to the people he works with. He never entered in big scandals…no big partying, prostitutes, drunk stunts, or evading taxes like others (he is no saint, but he doesn’t loose his mind)…He comes from a poor family with an alcoholic father, and he had to leave the island where he lived to come to the mainland when he was just a kid, all by himself. His family, and specially his older sisters, busted their asses off to be able to support him and his dream. He has a great relationship with his family, maybe a bit too much, due to all of this. He never turned his back on them, even if many find his family “classless”. He gave a business to all of his siblings so that every of them would have the opportunity to make something on their own (not simply surviving on his money). The story with his son is sketchy, but actually the strongest gossip was that he wanted to be a young father and he used surrogacy (hence in the USA). What is true, no one knows, but it’s not so difficult to believe it. He’s not stupid to not know that he’s a big attraction to gold diggers. He had only a few assumed girlfriends. Maybe he was really looking for the right one. Maybe he’s gay, whatever.

Anyway, I find him too cocky and not so hot for the apparent vainness, but irresponsible, egoistical and immature doesn’t seem to apply to him at all.

    • boredblond says:

But she’s pushing 30..only a ten year difference for him? Actually, unlike a lot of others, I like Cooper..think he’s a good actor and comes off in interviews as nice guy. Never heard of ronaldo, shrug..

  8. Naddie says:

I know why I don’t like her, but I don’t know why I don’t like him, it bugs me everytime.

  9. Iheartgossip says:

Who is Bradley’s boyfriend? I always read about him being gay, but never attached to anyone. Well, except the women.

    • Dońt kill me i'm french says:

Victor Garber ( From Alias and Jennifer Garner’s best friend)?

Personally I thought Cooper was bisexual

  10. VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans apologized for their remarks. Jeremy Renner’s apology smacks of condescension to me. Chris Evans’ apology seems more…..regretful? He could’ve gone into more detail though, but it was a decent apology. None of this I’m sorry if you were offended bs. Renner shut the hell up.

Renner: “I am sorry that this tasteless joke about a fictional character offended anyone. It was not meant to be serious in any way. Just poking fun during an exhausting and tedious press tour,”

Evans: Yesterday we were asked about the rumors that Black Widow wanted to be in a relationship with both Hawkeye and Captain America,” Evans said. “We answered in a very juvenile and offensive way that rightfully angered some fans. I regret it and sincerely apologize.”

    • Shambles says:

Renner’s excuse… *clears throat* my bad, his apology, is so slimy. Evans at least did a better job of soundimg contrite. IMHO it doesn’t just magically undo the damage in either case. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone does something conciously and intentionally, and expects to simply say the words “I’m sorry” and have it all disappear. I just don’t think it’s that easy, in some cases at least. Like this case, in which they were at work, doing their jobs. Being recorded for a professional interview, of which they were well aware. It wasn’t just a slip of the tongue, Renner made a jackass comment and Evans expanded upon it. Damage is done, for me.

      • Tiffany says:

It is like the cast at this point do not give a damn because they know that the movie will make money either way. If this film only make 700 instead of 1 billion I believe lessons will be served (will Hawkeye be needed for the next film because I keep forgetting about him and Renner). Some of these clowns better be careful because their other BO receipts have shown that they cannot carry a movie.

Also, DAMN IT, I miss Tommy.

      • VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

Yea, I agree. But sometimes I’m guilty of giving slack, because I sometimes say something when I’m trying to be funny or witty, and it just comes out SO wrong and offensive. But then again, I don’t publicly make “jokes” (especially on the job) about the bangability of men, or their sexual partners (or lackthereof)….

      • Kitten says:

@VC I hear ya. I mean, look, I have guy friends who have absolutely said worse sh*t in front of me (before they realized my boundaries) but at the same time, it’s SO important to point out incidents of ingrained misogyny. It’s just way too widespread and way too prevalent in our society. If we don’t say something then we’re part of the problem.

So while I’m probably not as personally offended as many others here, I think shaming and outrage is still the appropriate response. Dudes need to get called out on this sh*t for real.

    • Shambles says:

@VC, nothing wrong with cutting people slack. Nothing at all, and I didn’t mean to insinuate that there was. I just feel like these guys don’t deserve it. I think it’s really telling that when Renner made his initial comment, Evans’ response was to laugh his a$$ off and keep going with it, rather than becoming extremely uncomfortable. That just doesn’t say “this was a mistake” to me.

  11. ThisIs40ish says:

I just watched In Secret with other other Olsen lady and the dream specimen known as Oscar Isaac. It was sort of good, sort of sucky, but in it, Oscar was a bit of a dirty talker. It made me feel a little…mmmm. So I don’t even see the other fellow in those GIFs. All I see is Oscar.

  12. Jag says:

Yes, sugar addiction is real. I am a sugar addict. Some alcoholics become sugar addicts after abstaining because sugar can do the same thing as alcohol in the brain. My dad is an alcoholic and I am a sugar addict, as well as a picker. (Self harm can become an addiction as well.)

I didn’t read that entire blog because the person seemed to ramble, but yes, it’s very real and I struggle with the addiction at times. The longest I’ve been off of sugar is 1 1/2 years so far. I’m readying myself for going off of sugar again later this year because I don’t want to become diabetic.

  13. LAK says:

I don’t understand why this woman is a top model. She is completely forgettable. Ditto her figure.

  14. derpshooter says:

re: that pajiba article on netflix movies
they are correct about the rudd/poehler movie, which also has ellie kemper and “stefon”. it’s so terrible! just boring and so unfunny I was mad. I was going to give it the requisite 20 minutes and I only made it 12 and change. do not watch.

  15. Cankles says:

You know, I have such an intense thirst for Oscar Isaac, but I read that Reddit AMA he and Domhnall did together the other day, and I came out of it with an intense thirst for Domhnall as well. Dude is hysterical!
