There is not enough time in the day to properly absorb the fuggery in this post. And it’s truly a toss up as to which of these two ladies had the bigger fashion fail. Like, I didn’t even know who to put up top. I think Cara Delevingne surpassed Chloe Sevigny in bad taste though, just because Chloe tends to wear clothes with a wink and nudge, like her whole “style” is “ironic hipster joke.” Cara however is supposed to be SERIOUS. We are supposed to take Angry Baby seriously as a model and an actress. She is an It Girl. She is supposed to be the Big Thing in fashion and film. And this is how Cara turned out…
Her jumpsuit is Stella McCartney. She wore McCartney last year too, only then it was impossibly chic and fashion-forward. Obviously, I loathe Stella’s designs almost always. Stella is like Marchesa to me: overrated, unflattering and coasting on a name and famous friends (in Marchesa’s case, Georgina Chapman relies on her husband Harvey Weinstein for her clientele). So, this was always going to be failure just because of the terrible “are you wearing a wrestler’s onesie?” ensemble. But then Cara decided to get some temporary “Chinese” tatts. And her too-dark eye makeup just makes her look even more Angry Baby-ish.
As for Chloe Sevigny… bless her heart. This dress is by JW Anderson. It looks like the polyester wall hangings at my local Chinese buffet place exploded on her. I think Chloe knows it’s terrible, right? And that’s the “joke”? And it just occurred to me… 17 years ago, Chloe WAS Cara. Chloe was the It Girl, the weird girl, the Fashion Girl.

She’s standing like Frankenstein’s monster, lol, and she is in peril of falling backward. I hate the jumpsuit, and continue to hate McCartney designs. The art on her arms is really nice tho.

She has a very straight figure, the jumpsuit makes her look even more boxy.
She also looks bloated, not chubby, but bloated.
I think the idea behind Cara’s temporary tattoos is actually kind of creative and cool, but the execution is painfully terrible. She should have stuck to just the collar bones, or a little bit on each arm, or the more intricate pattern on just one arm. The whole thing is a damn mess, and it makes me sad as a tattoo-lover. And the terrible posture and unflattering jumpsuit and angry baby face aren’t helping, of course.

Totally agree about the tattoos. I caught a glimpse of her neck on Instagram before the event and thought “ooh, interesting”! Seeing the whole thing here I’m like “eh”?

Agreed. Execution is bad, but I like the idea. Honestly, as crap as Cara looks, I still like that she did something more out-there and interesting than most of the boring gowns worn that night.

I love the tats! And the jumpsuit is basic to show them off.
Her makeup and the number of tats could be scaled back but it’s still better than almost everyone else’s (except Rihanna and maybe one other) and on theme.
Plus is not another red dress.

Stella has to be playing a joke on her clientele like the Emperor’s New Clothes And I wanted to yank up Chloe’s dress by five inches, but that would result in a vadge flash.

Ah Chloe was never Cara, ever, like not even close. 20 years ago, Chloe was hanging out with Sonic Youth and dated Jarvis Cocker, while Cara hangs out with One Direction and the Kardashian teenagers.
Yeah, love her or hate her, but Chloe was cool. Cara is just try hard.

I haven’t heard this term “angry baby” applied to Cara before, and it’s ….perfect. Almost as good as “Tiny Rapper” for Kanye.
Chloe is just …well….unattractive. In every way. And the saggy, droopy, cheap looking dress is ugly too.

I’ve always been completely dumbfounded by how Chloe S. ever became an “it” girl. I’ve always thought she was only marginally attractive and bordering on homely. And now I feel the same about Cara D. Maybe because she came from an extremely wealthy family and it’s kind of a Paris Hilton type thing?
When I saw pictures of Cara Delevigne, I thought the tattoos were part of the design worked into a sheer overlay and was kind of cool. Now knowing that they’re ‘actual tattoos’… Wow is this bad. And someone needs to tell me if the sparkly part is a glittery bra or if it’s actually part of the outfit.

Not trying to be mean here, but what’s up with Cara’s face? Is it real? I thought I read something awhile back about her having plastic surgery. I honestly can’t tell, but there does seem to be something “not quite right” there.
To me she looks like the Cat from the Cat in the Hat or a bit like Jim Carrey when he played the Grinch.

I’m so sad Chloe didn’t bring it this year. I usually love what she wears to these things. Those sleeves look like they are trying to pull her top down but her sturdy boobs are saying “not so fast!”
I find Cara’s look interesting. The body art is cool. The jumpsuit is simple but has some design elements and it fits her to perfection. She stands out. Chloe? No bueno!
