Here is Gigi Hadid’s new cover for Vogue Australia. It’s a nice cover, although I think it would have been better without the sparkly turtleneck. This is actually Gigi’s second international Vogue cover – her first was Vogue Spain. Her career is coming along nicely, especially considering that she comes from a reality show family, just as much as Kendall Jenner (Gigi’s mom is Yolanda Foster).
In the interview with Vogue Australia, Gigi talked about her Aussie boyfriend, singer Cody Simpson. She basically says that he plays his new music for her and if she doesn’t like it, she’ll tell him it sucks. Perhaps it was that kind of blunt honesty that led to their breakup! Yes, if you were around a teenager this weekend, I’m sure you heard: Gigi and Cody broke up. AGAIN. This is the second major breakup for them.
One of young Hollywood’s most famous couples has decided to call it quits. E! News can exclusively confirm Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson have ended their relationship again to focus more on their respective careers.
“Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career,” Hadid’s rep told E! News. “They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future. They remain friends with no hard feelings and each other’s biggest supporters.”
Gigi is 20 and Cody is 18. This was never going to be forever. It’s sort of shocking that they broke up once and got back together, although that’s pretty common with the “kids” these days. Gigi and Cody are like the new Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez (Biebs and Sel-Go are so 2012, eyeroll). All drama and makeups and Instagramming their love and breakups and more drama and accusations and more Instagram and cheating and makeups and then more Instagram.
Anyway, considering it was a pretty quiet weekend, Gigi and Cody’s breakup inexplicably dominated a lot of sites and headlines. Or maybe I’m misreading it – maybe people really do want to know. I sometimes like to take the temperature for interest in certain celebrities. Should I ignore Gigi or do you want me to keep covering her? I kind of think she’s interesting and she has potential as a gossip-worthy “model-celebrity,” in the Cara Delevingne archetype, especially if Gigi moves on from Cody with a bigger-name boyfriend. I keep saying the Gigi is exactly Leonardo DiCaprio’s type (young, blonde, legs for days, model). I think Leo’s waiting for her. So… honk if you want more Gigi!

HONK! I don’t actually know much about her personality, but physically, she’s a return to form to the era of the 80’s supermodel. Stunning face and slammin’ bod that looks like she eats well and works out. And she actually looks alive in her photos.
More visually arresting models, please, less Dead-Eyes Jenner and Angry Baby.
Yeah, she’s beautiful and she was modeling years before her (former model) mother was on a reality show. She’s just over 5’10” so, I’m jealous.
Gigi seems so mellow and sweet but, Taylor Swift just did a 10 Up and Comers? magazine article and named Gigi as the Wittiest person she knows. So, that’s interesting- not just a pretty face.
I like the more interesting type of models we see today much more than the supermodels of the 80s. I hope the “supermodel” never comes back.
I love Gigi, so I wouldn’t mind if you covered her a bit more. She seems very kind and bright, and she looks like a sultry Disney princess! That’s a compliment btw lol

David Foster was previously married to Linda Thompson, the mother of two of Bruce Jenner’s children. So there was a six-degrees-of-separation connection, but they wouldn’t be step siblings from what I can figure out.

I met Cody and his manager last summer at a airport hotel bar in Lisbon. I was sitting there solo enjoying a glass of wine and noticed the two men next to me ordering a half dozen espresso shots (trying to stay up all night for a 4 am flight). We struck up a friendly conversation, I had no idea who he was but they were both very sweet & polite, and he didn’t seem too offended that I’d never heard of him. I took a picture and posted it to Facebook, my page blew up the next few days with comments from my friends (mostly in their 40s like me) with 8-13 year old daughters, I guess that’s his fan base. So, with that limited encounter I’d have to say he was a genuinely nice young man I hope fame doesn’t turn him into a Bieber-like douchebag.
Yeah, me too. Although I kinda doubt it. He’s been around for years, and you barely (if ever) hear bad things about him.
My cousin is very close friends with Cody. My Aunty says he is so sweet. My family also says that Gigi is so beautiful inside and out. Polite and not a diva at all.

PLEASE don’t compare him to Swaggy. He doesn’t deserve it. Yeah, they may be cute guys who sing and play the guitar, but that’s where the similarities end. Cody isn’t an entitled, tantrum-throwing brat.

I’d prefer reading about Gigi over Angry Baby, Kendall Jenner or Suki Waterhouse. Damning with faint praise I guess.
My issue with Gigi is that I think she’s pretty but not yet a supermodel. All the publications call her that. She seems to work hard and be a kind person, but she (and her sister) have a big publicity machine behind them.
I really hope she stays away from Leo! Ew. She could do better!

I like Gigi and her younger sister Bella- Bella is more striking as a model in some ways. They come from an insanely privileged background, but they’re still relatively under the radar, so I’d like to hear more about them!
