One of them is photographed at the farmers market every. single. week. They’re not parading around because of the rumors, it’s their normal, Sunday morning family routine.
Exactly these kids are photographed almost everyday and have been for months.

I do beleive that she did not know he was in Nova Scotia (without his ring, that suddenly reappeared once back home) & found out via the news.
I heard that there were sightings of him in NS, but that people saw him with who they assumed was his wife. Not everyone knows who Ben’s wife is.

I missed that too…when I saw a pic on DListed last night, my first reaction was like “WHAT HAPPENED TO TIM CURRY?!!!”

I remember it was a story, not a big one probably because no one knew the extent of the stroke damage, but after a long private period of rehab, it’s good to see him back..with his sense of humor intact.
Jennifer’s shirt looks like child’s pajama top. It looks really terrible, even for a family outing.

Agree about Jennifer’s shirt. My first reaction was what in the hell is she wearing? She looks so dowdy all the damn time.
Jen can claim all she wants that she hates the paps, but she sure does not seem to mind them when she needs them for her image of the perfect family, minus the cheating/gambling husband.

I have to agree because this farmers market has turned in to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood, and the Grove. We’re as in if you want to be seen by the paparazzi this is the place to go.
Exactly, KellyBee. I did time (er, I mean I *used to work*) at The Grove. And as everyone knows, celebrities are there when it’s crowded to be photographed with their families. If they didn’t like paparazzi, they wouldn’t go there at all. Or they’d come on early mornings or quiet days to shop unnoticed.
That’s why when Jen does these pap strolls then complains about privacy, she really strikes me as controlling and hypocritical (wanting to have her cake and eat it, too).
I agree 100% with Laura. Jennifer Gardner, Hale Berry and other famous actresses had a campaign last year for the paparazzis not to be able to take pictures of celebrities kids. A very well orchestrated game from Gardner is the fact that she likes to play hide and seek with the photographers under her convenience, as you can tell here and in the previous outing that she had with her husband and kids when all the media outlets were talking about an inminent divorce. Affleck and Gardner have assistants and nannies, do you think they need to go to this Farmer’s Market to get their lettuce and tomato? hell no. Is just for show, “Hey look at us! we are soooo happy together”. This woman strikes me as a big time hypocrite, whining and complaining about privacy (while collecting multimillion dollar paychecks) and at the same time exposing her kids to publicity for her agenda. Pfff.

I’ve been to Mr. bones pumpkin Patch ta couple of years ago when my family got together for Canada Thanksgivings and will never go again. It’s crowded and over priced filled with rude ass paparazzi and pushy celebrity chasers. I’m sure the farmers market in Pacific Palisades Is the same way.
Mr. Greentrees pumpkin Patch which is also in West Hollywood is so much better, has activities for kids and is were a celebrity would go if they wanted privacy.
If they were pretending to be a perfect family than the parents would be showing affection,smiling,etc.How is looking miserable going to give people the impression that everything is fine.These comments make no sense.They are living their lives just like Naomi and Liev,Gwen and Gavin,etc and every other celeb couple who I see pics of several times a week.Are Naomi and Liev doing pap walks with their kids ?

Totally agree. It’s like celebrities can’t leave their house and be seen in public without being accused of taking a “pap stroll.” It gets kind of annoying sometimes. I’m not saying that none of them do it, but I don’t think Ben & Jen are one of them.

Finally had a chance to ask some Nova Scotia family what the word on the ground was about the whole Affleck thing and…they don’t really care. LOL! They did say it’s not likely that the trip was for a retreat/stay at the Abbey. Not really the time of year that’s available. Oh and if you think there’s no way he could hide away with someone up there, then you’ve never been to Cape Breton. Lots of isolated spots to disappear. Sorry but this is one time where the gossip is adding up.
Cape Breton sounds like a fun getaway for the hubs and I! He’ll be so “excited” when I relay your description! LOVE that part of the world anyway…sigh.
All joking aside @Gingercrunch it really is beautiful! Very small population too unless you are in Sydney but there are some amazing resorts up in the highlands. Friendliest people you will ever meet too, amazing hospitality.

But he was sighted alone several times out and about and that was put in the local paper. Then after that fact, once that is published, comes out the Lainey gossip, (no photos)l that he was spotted holding hands at a hotel with some woman. No photos, naturally. And only one source. I find it hard to believe Ben (who is recognizable worldwide) would be walking through a hotel lobby holding hands with a woman not Jennifer Garner, who they are a known famous couple.
I would believe your theory more,hiding out somewhere in an isolated property, but then that shoots down the “unnamed source” he was staying at a hotel with a woman blantantly holding hands (which I find way too hard to believe), and you go back to he was only ever seen alone as fact. Other than that, it is all up to speculation.

@Jayna one of the things the resorts are famous for are their cottages/ cabins. You can go days without having to set foot in the main area of the “hotel”. If he got careless for even a second, it’s not that far fetched. Why no photos? That goes back to the hospitality thing. Even the service station attendant who outed him didn’t take a photo and many locals were disgusted that he released the security footage. I guess this interests me because I know the area and people so well but at the end of the day no one will know unless the lady in question decides to speak. If it was/is an affair? I imagine she’s been well paid for her silence.
@Mia4S, call me suspicious with the “other woman” sighting. As usual, the blind gossip came after the fact that he was there was published in the paper there with sightings of just him and went viral. If the blind gossip had come out first and then it was corroborated that he was there by the sightings of him, I would give it a lot more credence. I could see a story of a sighting of an actor in a small town and sit on the internet on a gossip blog and make up a story or get a false story from someone: My source tells me he was seen talking to a beautiful blonde and going back to the hotel with her. Who is going to prove me wrong? LOL
It’s not that I don’t think Ben could cheat. I think most of these actors could. I just don’t buy into all these blind gossip stories that could so easily be fake.

He should’ve manufactured some reason to be in Nova Scotia. The number one rule in keeping cheating on the down low is to always be where you say you’re going to be (at least generally; like, the same country at least).
Before the visit in Nova Scotia hit the news, I already knew about it. Guess where? Twitter! It is a great source of news. Locals tweeted that they have seen him and even thank him for stopping by. One Twitter even asked if he was with his OW. LOL!!!!
Also, realtors from NYC were sending him Tweets about properties. This was before the news of him looking for a place in NYC.
Why go to Nova Scotia to see your mistress? It would have been easier to concoct a business excuse to be in NYC. Instead it ends up all over social media that he’s randomly hanging out in a remote Canadian province. It’s like he wanted to get caught.

Why take your children out when you know papps are going to yell questions about your marriage? If things were normal, then fine, whatever. But you know that everyone is looking because of recent reports of impending marriage doom. I wouldn’t take my kids into that mess. There is plenty to do with them without going somewhere you know you will be harassed. I don’t get it.
