The world has list it’s most endearing metalhead. <3

  2. jinni says:

    Rest in Peace Mr. Lee.

As for the blind, I think it is JLo. There have been rumors that she is into Santeria. I think her first husband even spoke about it. So that’s my guess.

    • Sea Dragon says:

Look at this blind on blindgossip/com. People go into some detail as to why it’s Mariah.

    • Miss M says:

I don’t believe in this blind. But followinf the clues…Jennifer Lopez has 2 sisters (no brothers) and Mariah has a brother and a sister (who is HIV positive)…

  3. Norman Bates' Mother says:

I know he was 93 and lived a long and fulfilling life, but I’m heartbroken by this information. Such a loss. Rest in Peace.

  4. LAK says:

    Ron Moody died too.

    • Norman Bates' Mother says:

And wonderful jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman. What a sad day.

      • belle de jour says:

God, this brought up tears. Seeing him perform was when I ‘accepted’ Jazz with my soul – as in heard it & felt it resonate, sunk down within my own bones. I remember being surprised to recognize how the call and response from church had made its way into art… and finally into my heart.
        Thank you, Mr. Coleman.

      • Kiddo says:

belle de jour , I just want to say that I have really been enjoying your comments.

      • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I had the beyond-wildest dreams pleasure of meeting and sharing a dinner with him about five years ago and he was an absolute delight, warm and a peach to boot. Goodbye, and thank-you for everything, Mr. Coleman, you are always The Best.

      • belle de jour says:

@Kiddo – Thank you, Kiddo, as I have yours. Although many people seem to know each other here from way back, being made to feel welcome is very much appreciated.

    • j.eyre says:

I was just reading that. Rest In Peace, gentlemen. They were both wonderful to watch perform.

  5. Tiffany says:

He was one of my favorite Sherlock Holmes. The man’s voice was a narrators dream. RIP Mr. Lee.

I adore that man.He was one of the greats.Rest in peace.

  7. Mia4S says:

RIP the great Sir Christopher Lee.

Whenever the young stars of today get too arrogant and self-important they should perhaps be reminded that Sir Christopher was a working actor for decades, recorded a heavy metal album, was knighted, spoke five languages, fought in World War 2, and worked for the British secret service hunting down Nazi war criminals.

    Beat that!

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Christopher Lee’s death is sooo sad to me, especially since he’s the same age as my Mr. C…..I don’t want him to die any time soon!

      But RIP Count Duku….

    • belle de jour says:

      Indeed. Love your comment 🙂

    • Kiki says:

I am so sad today too. One of the best actors in the entertainment world has gone too soon. I know he is 93 years and it seemed long but I didn’t expect him to kick the bucket right now, heck”…. I thought he would be the few actors who would lives to 100+. Gosh so sad, oh well, all things must come to an end. My condolences to the family.

      • Lilacflowers says:

Not only one of the few who lives to 100 but I expected him to still be working.

    • doofus says:

I knew all of that except the Nazi hunting part, and that’s arguably the most impressive.

thank you for sharing. he was certainly one of the greats.

    • M.A.F. says:

I wish more news outlets would talk about his life before the movies. Served during WWII then help track down Nazis? ! Fascinating life he had.

    • Kiddo says:

      Whoa.

    • Mary-Alice says:

+1000 I sometimes feel scared looking at what’s coming. Much arrogance and self-adoration lacking the integrity . Yeah, yeah, I’m getting old but these new “stars” are getting too rich and too famous too soon.

  8. Allie says:

JLaw’s bodyguard is smokin. Why are you with Chris Martin when THAT is following you around all day. And I’m a Coldplay fan!

  9. Kelly says:

A true gentleman by all accounts.

  10. Betti says:

Rest in peace Sir Christopher – we will miss you!!!

Also, RIP to Ron Moody who also passed away – he was the ORIGINAL Fagan amongst other great roles (David Copperfield etc..).

  11. Camille (The Original) says:

I’m so gutted about this news, I just adored him as an actor. I also loved that we shared the same birth date. He was a wonderful man and actor and he will be missed and remembered by many.

  12. velcrodots says:

Sir Christopher Lee, on top of being great actor, survived the Nazis, was friends with Tolkien, met Rasputins killers, put out a few heavy metal albums, was nearly the King of Denmark and was the inspiration for James Bond. Quite honestly the most interesting man that ever lived. R.I.P good Sir.

    • Maria A. says:

      Wasn’t he just?
The world is a less interesting place now that he’s gone.

      • LadyoftheLoch says:

@velcrodots. Wow, didn’t know any of that. Thanks for the info. What an amazing man he was!

  13. Maria A. says:

This makes me sad. He was so good at what he did and so handsome. He was my favorite Dracula.
And what a career he had before he went into acting!

  14. Evie says:

R.I.P. Christopher Lee. He will be sorely missed. But such a life well lived and what an enduring legacy he leaves in his personal life and in his film roles. From Dracula to Saruman — whatever role he played, Sir Christopher Lee – was a riveting actor with a commanding presence and he dominated every scene.

  15. grabbyhands says:

Among the last of the great gentlemen of cinema, a genuine metal head AND he helped protect the free world against the Nazis.

Your faves could never. Mine either. 🙂

  16. Liberty says:

    Oh no…..saddened.

  17. LadyoftheLoch says:

Superb actor. He scared the bejeezus out of me as a child watching old Hammer Horror flicks from behind a sofa pillow. If I screamed the grownups would remember I was there and I’d be sent to bed, so I learned not to scream. Good times.

Goodnight Sir Christopher, you were one of the greats.

  18. Tulip says:

Rest in peace, Mr. Lee. My condolences to his family and friends-he was such an awesome actor. I loved him in the Dracula and in the Tim Burton films in particular. He’ll be missed.

  19. hmmm says:

Oh man, those Hammer movies. He was a terrifying Dracula. Love, love, loved them and him. Thanks for the memories, Mr Lee.

  20. Tig says:

And he played Richlieu’s henchman in The Three Musketeers from the 1970s! That movie is just amazing! There is a special edition DVD that I ran across, and as a bonus feature had interviews of Micheal York and Christopher Lee. He was appalled that the actors wouldn’t do their own sword fights,etc- his take was- you signed up for it, it’s your job-don’t pass it off to someone else- too funny!

  21. BlackBetty says:

Wow I never heard about his personal life before the movies. I’ll have to read up on it. Amazing
