SPOILERS for True Detective
I’m probably going to be sticking with True Detective for a while longer, because I want to see how last Sunday’s cliffhanger plays out. I’ve watched the GIF of the “blood” spurting out of Colin Farrell’s abdominal gunshot wound several times, so it’s going to be interesting if they just have him walking around like nothing happened after a few days in the hospital. Another reason why I’m sticking with TD? Because I’m sort of enjoying Rachel McAdams and Colin’s scenes together. They do have chemistry, and I always sort of believed the rumors that Colin and Rachel might be hittin’ in real life. But now Us Weekly/Daily Mail says that Rachel is actually just starting up with Taylor Kitsch! Boooooo.
They star together on crime drama True Detective. And no doubt Rachel McAdams was an arresting sight Taylor Kitsch. The two co-stars of the HBO series have reportedly found romance off-screen with each other despite previously already having a friendship before shooting together.
‘It hasn’t been long,’ a source told UsWeekly of the blossoming romance. ‘But it’s serious.’
The two do have a familiarity with one another as they have been ‘friends for years’ a source close to 36-year-old Rachel told the weekly. ‘They grew closer on set.’
Things certainly seem to be going swimmingly as an insider added to UsWeekly added that the pair ‘are really into each other.’
The news comes just weeks after the Canadian actors were spotted enjoying dinner together at West Hollywood hotspot Osteria Mozza on June 2.
Some people really wanted Rachel with Jake Gyllenhaal, but to me… Jake is so neutered. It’s not that he’s un-sexy, it’s that he’s asexual. I want Rachel with someone who will really rock her world. Is Taylor Kitsch that guy? I don’t know. But it’s cute that she’s dating another Canadian and Taylor is probably better “boyfriend material” than Colin. Still… Colin and Rachel together? It would have been a hot, beautiful mess. Last thing: I find Kitsch’s True Detective character to be the most boring. So far, Paul hasn’t brought anything to the table but homophobia and squints.

I think her habit of dating co-stars is getting a little out of hand. Someone should tell her that she doesn’t have to fall for every guy who’s spending time with her on set.
I get that Hollywood is heavy on the on-set romance but Rachel is seriously getting a reputation. Seems very high school-ish to me…
The only on set romance that’s actually confirmed is Ryan G. Did the rest actually happen? Or is it just rumour and wishful thinking?

He is boring character. I also don’t find him attractive; something about him just does not do it for me.
Keanu has more emotional range in his wooden body than Taylor. Talk about how many chances a mediocre white male actor is given to suck hard!
Edit: That is so brash of me. He has room to grow. I like Rachel. I felt bad for her after the Michael break up.
How does Colin Farrell look so dirty, nasty, sweaty, and still be so hot????? Rachel is probably better off with Kitsch (at least he looks like he showers)….but, I know, I would make the bad choice of dating the smelly guy, with issues, just to listen to that gorgeous Irish accent!
UGH I know. He’s beautiful. Some of us just have that gene that makes us love the dirty messy types you know? Especially if they’re as gorg as Colin Farrell. I’ll never forget that story about how much he adored Liz Taylor. That’s a man who just genuinely LOVES women.
They are just perfect for each other. And that’s not a compliment.

I’m indifferent about them, but they just fit in terms of their blandness, their mediocore acting abilities and that once they were considered to be the next big thing and couldn’t deliver and therefore their careers has stalled.
If McAdams would have been smart when it comes to her career, she probably would have had an Oscar by now.
I can’t even manage to muster up some kind of ressentment because both of them are almost offensively harmless.

By all accounts, Taylor is as down to earth as she is…so a better a match.

I get those two mixed up all the time. I was so excited when I thought Lady Gaga was engaged to Tim Riggins from “Friday Night Lights”
I will never think Colin Farrell is hot because of several things. He does seem to have terrible personal hygiene. And he used to say, about 10 years ago, all those things about wanting to hump and humping everything in HW and that was why he acted. And another odd thing I remember is that he propositioned Eileen Atkins like crazy and while she said she declined, she said it was a massive ego boost.
I used to think poorly of Colin back in the day but he has grown on me with time. He’s actually got a nice, funny personality and seems quite down-to-earth. IMO, he’s a better man because of his kids, too. His romantic conquests are just … quirky and yes, sometimes bizarre. I still can’t get my head around the Liz Taylor one!
As for the bad hygiene bit …. that seems to attract the ladies. Clark Gable had notorious halitosis and he had his pick of beautiful women. Johnny Depp is another example. I guess their unkemptness enhances their manliness.
you might be onto something. quite a few of the womanizers are notorious dirt bags, not only in terms of treatment but from the hygiene.
DiCaprio is also doing incredibly well despite not having showered since Inception was released.
it reminded me of an article an Escort wrote about how she deals with all kinds of clients. with ugly men she said its not really hard, she either finds something she finds attractive or thinks about different things but if someone smells bad you cant ignore it and it gets really hard do get the job done.
Ugh! I can’t take regular bad hygiene in a relationship. Everybody gets sweaty and dirty from time to time and I don’t expect people to smell like a vanilla-scented fragrance most of the time. I don’t even mind or always find ‘looking’ dirty unattractive. But regular non-bathing and perpetual foul breath? Ew. #DatNotSexxi, IMHO. Not to mention if you’re in public and right next to the smelly person, there may people who think you don’t bathe. I know to some people that’s a little shallow, but still.

I only watch the show b/c of Colin. He has the best scenes. Vince is OK, Rachel is trying (but still boring), and Taylor is just boring. And Colin’s character is definitely not dead.

Second that. And Farrell seems to go for more exotic types, at least the mothers of his two kids were (then there was the story of a youthful CF trying to bed a 72 year old Eileen Atkins . . .). RM doesn’t strike me as his speed – although the character she plays in TD does. But it’s true that CF, although he appears to have cleaned up a lot since his early 30s, is still anything but “good boyfriend material”.
Alicja Bachleda-Curuś looks a lot like Rachel, how was she exotic? What does exotic even mean?
Yup, could be PR for TD2, which has not been well received critically. But, since Rachel is one of the rumors for Affleck’s “To the Wonder” affair, I find the timing interesting.
The same thing I will say with Michael Fassbender is the same way I will say with Rachel McAdams, do not date your co-stars. It may have worked for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie but it doesn’t work out for everyone. Look at what happen to Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. But sometimes, you can’t help but to fall in love, so who am I to judge, so if you do date your co-star please keep a low profile.

Correct me if I’m wrong. She’s only dated two co-stars where there was proof in pictures, Ryan Gosling & Michael Sheen. Just because the media links her with every co-star doesn’t mean it’s happening. In this case I hope she is dating Taylor, he’s a hot Canadian.

I have always loved Rachel. I just think she seems real and nice. And I would love for her to find happiness. Jake G…..NOOOOOOOO. Once he finally fesses up to his real attractions (blind vice) he is going to ruin some girls life. I would have been ok with her hooking up with Colin. Sober Colin seems like a much nicer person. I remember in an article last year he said he hasn’t hooked up much at all since being sober because it is much more terrifying sober. It was kind of endearing to watch him talk about it. Seems much more grounded now. And he’s has always been hot….dirty or not. Now lets talk Taylor. FNL Taylor (Tim Riggins) was a mess but still ridiculously sexy. He has not aged especially well but he still has that Tim Riggins glint in his eye. I’d be happy with Rachel and Taylor really being a match. I do not find Michael Sheen at all attractive or appealing so either Colin or Taylor are a big step UP.
I like Taylor. Tim Riggins forever! I actually think his character Paul is gay and in the closet due to the Viagra with his girlfriend, his out of place homophobia, nasty boundary less mom, and him watching the male prostitute out of his window. I will still watch True Detective, but will be really disappointed if Colin/Ray is actually dead!

Lainey, who seems to have more credible sources than CDAN, has a strong hint in a post about Rachel today that she did not hook up with BA (writes she had nothing to do with “wonder” or something like that). So I’m back to Olga/Gal Gadot speculation, leaning toward both or the latter.
