Sienna Miller & Tom Sturridge ended their engagement, broke up after 4 years

wenn21973184

For me, this is as obvious a split as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. The only surprise is that I honestly thought Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge would have called it quits a few years ago. Sienna and Tom have been together for close to four years. She gave birth to their daughter Marlowe in July 2012, just six months after Sienna and Tom announced their engagement. Tom and Sienna never did marry, but they seemed to work out a co-parenting situation that sort of worked for them. For a time. But over the past year or so, Sienna has been going solo to more and more events (Tom didn’t make one appearance at Cannes this year, while Sienna was on the jury), and now sources tell the UK outlets that they’re done.

Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge have split after four years together. The couple – who have been engaged for three years – are said to have called time on their relationship ‘a few weeks ago’, but are hoping to ‘remain great friends’ going forward, The Sun newspaper reports.

The 33-year-old actress was spotted holidaying with the 29-year-old star earlier this month in Ibiza along with the pair’s daughter Marlowe, three. But it’s claimed the Ibiza make-or-break holiday with Marlowe – who was born six months after Sienna and Tom announced their engagement in 2012 – was not enough to save their relationship.

A source told the paper: ‘Tom and Sienna split a few weeks ago but still love and respect each other as friends and parents. It’s a very amicable break-up and they intend to remain great friends.’

A spokesperson for Sienna Miller declined to comment to MailOnline – a representative for Tom Sturridge has also been contacted. The news comes just two months after the American Sniper star was seen without her engagement ring while at Cannes Film Festival, prompting rumours their relationship could be on the rocks.

[From The Daily Mail]

As I said, I think they’ve been on the rocks for a while. I think Sienna tried to remake her image with a seemingly-stable relationship with Tom and motherhood and it worked for a little while. But the old party girl/train wreck is always going to find a way to come out. That part of Sienna has been coming out more and more – she was reportedly partying hard at Cannes and she looked pretty messy at the Vanity Fair Oscar party this year. It also wouldn’t surprise me at all if Sienna already had another boyfriend lined up, just waiting in the wings. Of course, it also wouldn’t surprise me if she ended up with another married dude.

Just in time to start filming with Ben Affleck. Coincidence or Conspiracy?

    • Jayna says:

Their relationship has probably been in trouble for quite a while and only just announced the split But the timing will be perfect for an on-set romance.

      • Absolutely says:

Yes, but he’s divorcing. Probably not her cup of tea. Now if he were still married…..

    • jinni says:

Let the games begin! Come on Sienna, I know you still have that wild streak in you.

I wonder if getting all of these roles in movies with big buzz is the real reason behind the break. Maybe she wants to catch a bigger fish or enjoy all that HW has to offer without any hindrances, now that she’s been welcomed back into Hollywood.

      • Bridget says:

It could also be that bigger career = more time working and more time away from home. It’s pretty hard to be in a relationship with someone if you never see them.

      • sunsetsnow says:

Yesssssss! Single Sienna is gossip heaven. I can’t wait to see her unleashed.

      • Betti says:

Its everything in your final paragraph. She wants those bigger roles, the hi profile relationship and the lifestyle that comes with it.

      • qwerty says:

Sienna doesn’t want to catch sh!t. She’s all about the chase.

    • someone says:

Ben and Sienna – now THAT would be some good gossip!

    • Liv says:

So not surprised. I think people were more surprised that she got with him in the first place. He seems calm and decent and she seems overambitious and famewhorey.

      • The other paige says:

They never made sense to me as a couple-and she looks like his mother with that aging haircut.
        Sorry Ima b*tch this morn!

      • Liv says:

        🙂
It’s probably also the fact that he looks very young for his age. I kind of have to applaude her. She convinced everyone that she settled down and changed and became a responsible mother. Not that she isn’t the latter, but she definitely not changed and I’m sure she’ll keep us entertained gossip wise.

    • Esmom says:

Ha, interesting thought. I don’t know how old she is but I’m thinking he’d prefer someone younger, though.

    • L&Mmommy says:

Ohhhh that would be a delicious pairing, wouldn’t it? Two train wrecks together. Ben Affleck needs a crazy woman to deal with his crazy. The gossip would be amazing.

    • Samtha says:

That’s exactly what I was going to post. Ha!

    • Tia says:

Ben affleck?! please !!! This sneaky biotch is on the Block to make Lost World of Z , with Charlie Hunnam!!!!…if ever there was a way for a woman to knock the pale ,sweaty ,hipster Tom dust off her hoo hoo…yah GET IT Girl !

  2. Naddie says:

She always look so tired/sad in pictures.

  3. Jayna says:

I knew that was coming just how the whole last year was going with them.. I could tell in her clip last year or first of the year touring her home in England, which was a tongue-in-cheek video for a mag, when she never mentioned him. I loved her homey, but beautiful flat or townhome, whatever you call them there.

She’s been back busy again and off on set a lot and I think the relationship just ran its course.

She is going to be free and Ben is now free. They begin filming together in Ben’s next movie in October or November. A perfect storm for a grand love affair on set. I don’t see them lasting past that, though, if they have one. Of course, Ben could have a girlfriend waiting in the wings to come out of the shadows as soon as everything dies down. If that’s the case, she will be camped out in Atlanta watching him like a hawk now that Sienna is footloose and fancy free.

    • Betti says:

I think we can all see this one coming, and there is no way she will be discreet about it either. She likes them A List.

      • Bridget says:

2 words: Rhys Ifans. I’d actually posit that she likes men that are more into her than she’s into them.

  4. Lk says:

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO….

  5. lisa2 says:

The last pictures of them on a beach seemed very distant.

  6. Damn says:

Married men beware, Sienna is on the hunt.
The family image was to rehab her homewrecker reputation and it worked even though she can’t act.

    • Lulu says:

      Please. Enough with the witchhunt

      • alice says:

I don’t think that calling home wrecker a woman with poor morals equals witch-hunt. The premise is always that the main to blame is the cheater, no question about it. Then, what happens if the woman says no? He will go to another, and another until he finds one willing. Ok. That’s not the question. It’s the lack of girl code, self respect and morals what’s horrible. Yes, I know morals often mistakes as moralism, and it’s almost a negative word. That’s hypocrisy because that’s what we teach our children and we hope they will live by it. So why when it applies to behavior that we want to excuse then it’s shaming?

      • G says:

Alice has never made a mistake in her whole life??

    • Luca76 says:

I know you mean it as a joke but really?? Like these married men wouldn’t cheat if it weren’t for big bad Sienna OK you go with that one.

      • Damn says:

It’s a joke but she has a record of always going after men in relationships. I mean at some point it’s clear that’s her preferance. She’s a party girl just like Kate Moss, motherhood can’t stop them.

    • EM says:

True. Overrated actress. Perhaps a more successful mistress.

      • Mare says:

Was she really a mistress? I mean they were not hiding their relationship, it was not going on behind his wife’s back. It was all out in the open, he moved out of the family home and they were definitely separated even though not divorced. I never saw Sienna as the mistress because their relationship was public and he was not with his wife at that time.

  7. Lennox says:

It’s a shame, particularly because they have a child and the new, settled-down Sienna seemed more calm and likeable. But there’s no point staying together if you’re not happy together.

  8. The Original Mia says:

Why couldn’t it be his fault? Why put it all on her? Maybe he fell out of love with her? Or the relationship just ended on both their parts?

  9. Cleo says:

I think every tabloid is now planning on some kind of Sienna Miller/Ben Affleck cover.
I have to say I’m a little sad over this breakup. Not shocked because Sienna seemed to spend a lot of time alone and partying recently but I liked them together.

  10. Tiffany says:

I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. She knows she cannot screw up this time around. Her career is on track again and she has a kid to take care of. Or she will just be better at locking her sh*t down, who knows.

  11. ell says:

i never understood why people started to like her after she “settled down”. motherhood and commitment doesn’t make you a better person, it might make you grow up, but i doubt this is even the case for sienna, she just seem to have learnt to be more discreet with her crap.

i hate the whole “motherhood redeems you” narrative.

    • G says:

well you know, people make mistakes in their 20s and they grow up. Are you going to hold her romantic liaisons against her when she is 60? I love how the married guy was able to carry on with his career, get back with his wife and nobody says any more about it. Sienna is slut shamed forever – a narrative that isn’t great either – Agree?

      • Bridget says:

Did Getty really get to resume his career though?

For what it’s worth, I thought Sienna’s behavior in that whole mess was bad, but that the blame laid squarely with Getty.

      • Betti says:

Both behaved badly but Sienna took it to a whole new level – those shots of them with his hand up her dress – she set that up and tipped that paps off as she wanted him to leave his wife for her.

      • G says:

@betti – how do you know that?

      • ell says:

no no no. you’re so off. i’m one of those people who would never slut shame anyone for being with someone married because imo, the fault lies with the person cheating (in that case getty). that’s not why I think sienna is cheap. i think she’s cheap because she’s an attention seeker, which is completely different.

and i both both narratives; the slut shaming and motherhood redeems. they’re both a load of bollocks i can’t stand.

      • Betti says:

@G – she and her publicist were notorious for tipping the paps off and as far as those shots i mentioned, it was supposed to be a private getaway as he was still very much with his wife so it was strange that the paps knew exactly where they were at all times, info that they wouldn’t have known unless they had been told from someone in their circle. The gossip blogs at the time said as much (she tipped the paps off to force him to leave his wife).

    • milla says:

I liked Sienna ever since I saw her in Alfie. She seems more genuine than any JLaw or Riri or whatever comes from HollyWeird. She was wilder when she was not a mum, which is perfectly normal. She looked amazing in Cannes, very graceful, she is not a different person, she is growing up. We do that all the time, until we die.

    • EN says:

Actually she does come across as more mature and grown up. Life experiences do change people.

  12. Talie says:

Well, her career is back on track, but hopefully she has learned some lessons — Like avoiding being the first public girlfriend of Ben Affleck.

  13. Mary says:

Until this moment, when I actually looked at those pictures of Tom Sturridge, I actually had him confused with Jim Sturgess. Like whenever I read an article about these two, I never bothered to actually look at him. All this while I thought she was with some other guy. Lol.

    • Bridget says:

Oh crap you’re right. I did the same thing! That explains a lot. In that case, what on earth has Tom Sturrege been in? Off to IMDB!

  14. OrigialTessa says:

I feel like they haven’t been together together in a long time. Over a year even.

  15. G says:

I thought they had broken up long ago. She was always on her own. Lainey has also dropped a few hints that she’s back to her old party girl/screwing around antics. It isn’t a surprise as they got pregnant and engaged so fast. Always a mistake – maybe he should have a chat with his pal Rpattz! – but at least they were sensible enough not to go through with the marriage. Hopefully it is all amicable… or it will be until they start publicly dating other people..

I never really got the fuss over Sienna – she looks like any girl on the street except she is in designer gear. She has alot to thank Jude Law for.

    • FingerBinger says:

She’s a talented actress. She was excellent in Factory girl and Casanova.

      • G says:

She doesn’t do much for me. I haven’t seen America Sniper though.

      • Amber says:

I think she’s a competent actress. Not flat, not cringeworthy, but not all that impressive. I wouldn’t call her gifted or dexterous, just capable. I’ve seen American Sniper, Factory Girl, The Girl and Interview. I wouldn’t call any of those performances exceptional, outstanding or top-notch. She doesn’t give real depth to her characters. She commits to doing subtle mannerisms and can hit the right emotional notes (though at most she’s asked to cry or be aloof in a lot of her films). But she relies heavily on actions and the situations around her to define her character. She gives no internal life to them. Basically, I always feel like I’m watching “Sienna Miller as the Bad Girl”, “Sienna Miller as the Sad Girl”, “Sienna Miller as The Wife”. Not the worst! I don’t dislike her. Obviously I’ve seen plenty of her work. I don’t run away scared or avoid her at all. She’s a fine journeyman actor. That’s what she should be. (But she’s in that weird place where an actor doesn’t have the faculty/range/personality to be character actor. So they keep aiming for movie star, even though they don’t have the talent/charisma/presence/personality for that either.) Her fame is greatly disproportionate to her output and abilities, as her celebrity wasn’t really based on either one of those things. But that’s the way of it. Sienna Miller the actress probably shouldn’t warrant two Vogue covers. But neither should Blake Lively. And Jessica Biel and Kate Bosworth have had covers too–And all that it represents and is symptomatic of in today’s celeb culture. So Sienna’s not the worst in that category either.

      • Elle Robbie says:

I disagree. I saw her on the West End years ago, and she was awful. One of the worst performances I’ve ever seen in a professional, big-budget production. You know how some actors have some amazing charisma that, even when they’re just standing quietly on stage, your eye keeps going to them? How they step on stage and electrify the theatre? Sienna was the opposite of that. She was the black hole of charisma and energy.

Really, the best thing she did for her career – and this is not something I say lightly – was have a tabloid-fueled affair with Jude Law, because otherwise she would have been lost in the sea of much more talented (and in some cases beautiful) British actresses of her generation.

    • EN says:

      > I never really got the fuss over Sienna – she looks like any girl on the street except she is in designer gear. She has alot to thank Jude Law for.

Which street do you live on, girl, lol? I am the prettiest girl on the block (or so I like to think) and I am not as pretty as her.

      • qwerty says:

Forgot to mention – what screwed up her face the most is smoking and huge amount of sun exposure which are not temporary like botox, sadly

  16. bread says:

    I blame the hats.

    • Mispronounced Name Dropper says:

I know He should have one like Kim Kardashian’s on the latest Rolling Stone cover. It’s a corker and I’m totally getting one.

    • Esmom says:

Lol. Aw, I like the hats. I’ve always found him attractive…but always thought they were a complete mismatch as a couple.

    • Mrs. Darcy says:

To be fair I think the hats are partly due to his shaved head for American Buffalo, which I saw him in, and he was seriously good btw, like stealing scenes from Damian Lewis and John Goodman without even trying good. He has a major egghead though so I can see why he hides it!

      • Mrs. Darcy says:

nope my bad, looking at more Tom pics I see the hats are a pre-existing condition. He is cute though but they would bug me!

  17. Boston Green Eyes says:

All I have to say is that even though they are only 4 years apart, there’s a bad combo of she looks rough/older and he has a baby face going on here. Seriously, I thought he was about 20 in those pics.

    • Patty says:

My sentiments exactly. She doesn’t necessarily look old, but she looks rough and hard. And yeah, he looks like he could be 21. He does have a real babyface. She looks like his older sister.

    • FingerBinger says:

      He looks younger and sickly.

  18. Ms. Turtle says:

I like him very much as an actor. I wish he had a better agent or whatever, to get him more good roles.

Sad but hopefully they’ll do right by their daughter.

    • ORLY says:

Tom’s from a showbiz family. He doesn’t want big roles. He seems to be all about independent films.

      • Ms. Turtle says:

I didn’t say big roles, just more good roles. He doesn’t work a lot. Which, as you say, may be by his design. He’s just a very good actor who should be in more roles.

      • Betti says:

Tom has always been about the art – Sienna was always about the fame. It was never going to work.

I saw them in person in a pub near Notting Hill and he looks young – she looks hard and older than she is. Without makeup you wouldn’t know her – it took me a while to realise it was her.

    • ican'tsnap says:

Actually he does work a lot – he does lots of theater so I think he stays busy between film roles.

He was on stage in London (American Buffalo) during Cannes so that’s what he wasn’t there.

    • Mrs. Darcy says:

I saw American Buffalo last month, I couldn’t recall seeing Tom in anything else (I got cheap seats on the day mainly to see Damian Lewis and John Goodman). But Tom seriously impressed me, he really nailed his part and made a strong impression, not easy to do with two other amazing actors on stage. I will definitely look out for him in the future. He just has it, whereas Sienna, not so much. He is young and hotter in person than pics suggest, he’ll be just fine.

      • ORLY says:

Have you seen him in The Boat That Rocked (Pirate Radio)? Such a great movie and even greater cast.

      • Mrs. Darcy says:

Yeah I did see it a few yrs ago, didn’t remember him in it tbh! I did just watch Effie Grey on Amazon Prime though and Tom is really good in a small part, brings a bit of life to the otherwise pretty dreary film!

  19. Catherine says:

Not surprised, at all. There were rumours she was hooking up with co-stars (see Ryan Reynolds story).

  20. Lori says:

Time for another round with Jude Law.

    • qwerty says:

Jude doesn’t do “rounds” these days without knocking the lady up which could be interesting.

  21. The New Classic says:

The only thing that has struck me in this whole post: Does he wear hats all the time because it’s his “signature style” or is he losing his hair and trying to cover it up, ála Gavin DeGraw?

  22. meme says:

I like Sienna and thinks she a good actress. What she does in her private life doesn’t bother me so rock on wild girl Sienna and keep your career on track.

    • Betti says:

The thing is is that she wont keep her career on track – she ruined her own career with her antics. Her off screen behaviour and image got soo bad no one would hire her – particularly after the whole Getty affair, that was the final nail in the coffin.

      • qwerty says:

The things tou’re talking about happened 6-7 yrs ago. Last year she was in 2 films that were nominated for an Oscar, and she’s about to shoot one with Ben Affleck.

      • kay says:

i don’t get why her behaviour off screen had ANYTHING to do with her career? the antics of many actors and actresses have not led to their careers being side lined. how or why would she be any different?
how does being a man eater equate to ruining her career?
anyone? this has always intrigued me when it comes to her as it is commonly said and believed in gossip world…s’up with that?

    • Sunsetsnow says:

All that you said @meme. I like her too!

  23. Dash says:

I cannot wait to see what Sienna does next!

  24. carol says:

Not surprising at all. I never understood this coupling or why Sturbridge never takes off that stupid hat.

  25. Dara says:

Isn’t the timing of this story a little odd? They were just seen on a beach together, and they were both at the same wedding in England over the July 4th weekend. Why the rumors now when there’s no obvious break-up? Do you suppose there are going to be rumors she (or he – less likely, but just to cover all the bases) has been seen with other people and their PR team wants to downplay any stories of more infidelity after they’ve been pushing the happy, domestic AND monogamous angle?

    • G says:

      who was married?

      • Dara says:

@G – Len somebody and Jen somebody. I’m sure someone who follows the London fashion and social scene more than I do will know who they are, but I’m just not hip enough. Sienna, Tom, Sienna’s sister and at least one of the Delavigne sisters attended – along with a whole passel of people I didn’t recognize. https://instagram.com/p/4wqSUrPWdK/
Search through the #lenandjen tag on Instagram and you’ll see all sorts of fabulous people congratulating themselves on being fabulous.

      • G says:

Thanks! No idea who they are. Can any of the friendships in that clique be genuine? 9/10 you are going to stop being asked to these fancy parties if your career takes a nose-dive.

      • Dara says:

@G, IKR! When I first stumbled across the photos, it looked like a fun party – like a mini Glastonbury for the London glitterati – but as the weekend wore on the shallowness of it all just made my hair hurt. Maybe there were some genuine moments with the happy couple that weren’t captured for public consumption, but with that group I’m not so sure.

    • Betti says:

Given her history I wouldn’t be surprised if there was infidelity on her part – he always seemed more into her than she was to him. Everyone was a bit surprised when she not only hooked up with him but had a child.

I think he was useful to her image rehab – a low key, talented actor and the glamorous Hollywood starlet.

And yes I don’t have a high opinion of Ms Miller.

  26. Tracy says:

That crash you just heard was Sienna’s bed post crashing to th floor, finally sawn through with her carving her 1,467th notch in it. This girl sleeps with everyone. She’s right up there with January Jones.

  27. Corrie says:

Sad this ended. Tom has filmed back to back all this year and was in a nightly stage play during her Cannes visit so its not like they were split intentionally. He just ended a long work stint. That said, ummm i’m of the mind like Kristen Stewart, i don’t want to peg Sienna a home wrecker yet before she’s single and I always think its trite that its women here that already to pounce but don’t treat the men the same regarding their careers. Who knows, lets see.

  28. Naddie says:

I always read she’s an evil homewrecker, but I’ve never heard anything about it (she’s not a relevant actress, after all). Can anyone please explain what are the stories about her behavior? Just to ease an annoying curiosity.

    • Catherine says:

Google “Sienna Miller Balthazar Getty”. And Jude Law, Daniel Craig. I think P Diddy as well.

      • Betti says:

And Sean Penn (thou who hasn’t – guy has been through Hollywood starlets), Hayden Christensen, Rhys Ifans, Leo DiCaprio to name i few off the top of my head. Girl got around Hollywood.

    • Dara says:

I’m not sure I’ve got all the particulars but she hooked up with Jude Law while he was still married to Sadie Frost (I think), then cheated on Jude with his good friend Daniel Craig. After that blew up in her face there were a few guys that I forget (Rhys Ifans maybe?) and then she was all over Balthazar Getty who was still very married at the time. She made a public spectacle of herself with Getty, I think in the hopes that he would leave his wife for her but he came to his senses and scurried home when his career and reputation suffered from the scandal. Not sure what happened between Getty and Sturridge, but she’s never been alone very long and there always seems to be overlap.

To be fair, I judge the guys as harshly as I do her for all these indiscretions, but I find her shockingly bad impulse control too big a character flaw to overlook. I’m probably going to side-eye everything she does from now on. Am I going to hell for being a judgmental harpy?

  29. Betti says:

What a shocker said no one. This was always going to happen when her career started to take off again – she used him to create a new image after she ruined her career with her personal life antics. She needed a nice stable person to create the ‘i’ve settled down with a family’ image that she and her team needed to craft to kick start her career.

She never really gave up on the partying and ‘good time’ ways – she just learned to be more discreet. By most accounts she partied hard during Cannes this year.

Wonder which co-star she’s madly in love with now? She has a history of getting it in with her co-stars, particularly if they are A List or more famous than she is. It won’t be long till we see her back in the tabloids tipping the paps off to where she will be with the latest man – girl will ruin her second chance.

Also she’s not that great of an actress – average at best.

    • Catherine says:

I agree & I think I posted this on a recent thread: she’s prob up to her old tricks just keeping it under the radar (having said in an interview that her public reputation had damaged her career).

    • waitwhat says:

Is no one going to mention how much time she spent with Tom Hiddleston while shooting High-Rise? Breakfasts, dinners, etc.

      • Betti says:

As i said in another post she has learned the hard lesson of being discreet – she’s not going to get papped being groped again. Co stars often have dinner etc.. together but with her and him who knows – he’s her type (young, high profile and with an almost A List career).

      • Dara says:

I was thinking it…although I missed the breakfast part.

I’m a Hiddleston fan, and I’d like to hope he is too smart and/or pr savvy to succumb to her dubious charms – but you never know. I’ll still be a fan either way, but it would alter my perception of him. But there will definitely be no hysterics or crazy talk about conspiracies and showmances.

      • Hannah says:

How do you know that? I am a fan of his and I never heard anything about them spending a lot of time together.

      • waitwhat says:

@dara – I think he’s too smart for anything long- term there, maybe just a hookup if anything. Just thinking this is probably a long time coming for SM, considering her history. Didn’t the possibility get discussed right when she was cast??

      • Dara says:

@Hannah, it was mostly sightings from Twitter and Instagram, but fans did notice they were together on multiple occasions away from the set. It’s possible other cast members were with them too and only Tom and Sienna were recognized. Tom and Luke Evans were spotted together too, so make of it what you will. *shrug*

      • Catherine says:

Tom is too career-focused and not stupid enough to get involved with Sienna with her rep IMO, but I don’t doubt they hooked-up. The cast were staying in a luxury hotel in Bangor for most of the HR shoot, it would’ve been easy to be discreet.

  30. G says:

She’s about to film a movie with Rob Pattinson …. just sayin

    • another nina says:

sturridge is Pattinson’s long time best friend, and it was actually Serena who introduced Pattinson to his fiance. So, I don’t think anything is going on here…

  31. Andrea says:

We have so many men in hollywood who serially date/hookup with women much much younger than them; Leo, Sean Penn, George Clooney (pre marriage), Jack Nicholson, Michael Fassbender and yet we rake Sienna over the coals for doing the exact same thing they do (serially date/hookup/party). This is a prime example of how we haven’t evolved and remain a double standard within our society/culture.

I get that she slept with a married man—but you know what? A lot of women and men cheat, it isn’t just men. I know married women who cheat. We seem to act like Sienna is some kind of evil temptress when it takes two people to tango. I am not a fan btw, I only remember her in Factory Girl which she was good in, but nonetheless..I just find all of these comments very hypocritical. Some of us are simply not cut out for monogamy in the long term, men and women, why is this such a bad thing?

    • ell says:

it’s not, and i agree with you. sienna is unlikeable and really quite off putting though, regardless of who she dates. i never liked her (or ex jude law, whose trying to populate the uk with his offsprings).

      • Andrea says:

I never liked her or jude law either—-I’m not trying to defend her here, I simply think we hold men who do such similar things to be “cool bachelors” and women who do them to be whores.

    • Betti says:

The thing with Sienna is that she wasn’t discreet and used her liaisons to boost her profile, hence the backlash. She was desperate for the fame and acted like a Kartrashian to get it – it came back and bit her on the ass.

Everyone sleeps with everyone else in Hollywood but not everyone splashes it all over the tabloids. The key is to be discreet – something she didn’t know the meaning of.

      • Andrea says:

I dislike fame whores and the Kardashians are the absolute worst! So if she is like that, then yeah, I dislike her more, but she can’t possibly be in the exact same category. She didn’t get famous off of a sex tape and inundate us with reality shows and crap products.

My point anyways was a more general observation. I have had so many women get judgy with me when I have dumped guys, never had my heart broken, and been very firm on what I want from someone. I have been told I act like “a man”, which I find very offensive. Just from everything I’ve heard about her, she sleeps around and parties, to me that is most celebrities. Sure, maybe she calls the paps and wants to not be discreet, but why should she be anyways? Why is it such a big deal that she gets around?

      • Betti says:

No she didn’t but she got famous on the back of her relationship with Jude Law. Law always tried to keep a low profile (due to having young kids and an interesting private life with his wife and friends) but he and Sienna were always being papped together. That was because she and her publicist were tipping the press off all the time and leaking stories about their relationship. The issue is that she constantly complained – all the while tipping them off. That’s what really irks me about some celebs – you can go about your life without being papped all the time. If you want it own it – don’t pretend you don’t and bitch about it – that why Bendy Cumberbatch irritates me. He’s another one who shills his personal life out and then bitches about it.

On a general note I agree with your sentiments – if a woman wants to behave like a man and go out and have fun then props to her. I personally just have a problem with those who make a point of only going after those who are not single. I have friends who have done that thinking that they are special enough to make him or her leave their other half – never happens, you are just an escape or mattress to them. Harsh but true. A lot of men and women have affairs for the thrill of the forbidden fruit.

      • Andrea says:

I agree with your sentiments here–I too was a Cumberbatch fan until he shoved his relationship down our throats, so obviously calls the paps on several occasions, and then complains about his “privacy”.

I get what you are saying with what she did and I obviously was out of the loop when she called the paps during the Jude Law days.

I also get what you are saying about forbidden fruit. I have a guy friend right now who only gets interested in women who are married/have boyfriends. To his credit though, most engage with him in relationships (one left a 14 year relationship for him!), but ultimately it never works out.

      • G says:

Did you not read her evidence at the Leaveson (?) inquiry? Her phone was hacked. She had no idea why paps knew her every move and why details only close family would know ended up in the tabloids. She even accused her family of selling her out. Only later did she learn her phone was hacked.

Now, i totally believe she baited the press and paparazzi to an extent.. She is a complete attention seeker and if you want to dig for Lainey’s encounter with her you will see that if she isn’t getting attention she will create it. But i do believe she was a victim of the hacking too.

  32. mar says:

she is very beautiful to me.

  33. MildredFierce says:

I saw her a TFF event with Bennett Miller and Christopher Nolan. I had the unfortunate luck to sit behind her …. Bennett Miller interviewing Nolan. She talked or whispered to her girl friend 90% of the time. She chewed on her cuticles and finger nails and figeted non stop. Zero poise for so-called movie star. I assume she was there to ‘support her direct Bennett’ but really there to get a face to face meeting with Christopher Nolan.

This is my second encounter. She used to work out at my exercise studio post baby. Sienna likes to stomp around the dressing room. And tries to pull focus. But at the same time doesn’t want to talk to anyone…

    But the real kicker…

Sienna was mean and rather cruel to a friend of mine at dinner months ago (late winter)….
My friend was born in South Africa. Lost her entire family – they were murdered. She was child and hid under the bed. My friend was shipped to distant relative in London then finally to an orphanage. A truly sad story.

My friend just tells everyone she is English and from London. She just doesn’t love retelling the story. I understand. And she was child when she moved to London.

While at a dinner, Sienna made fun of my friend’s accent. Sienna kept saying “you are not from London!” “you weren’t born in England.’ ” Your accent is strange.” On and on trying to lord over my friend…

Until Sienna’s co-star, er American movie star date ….INTERVENED and told Sienna to knock it off. Sienna is an attention hungry, mean girl. She does not respect women. And this was a double date of sorts… This co-star didn’t want a kid in the package, so he moved on to younger model…

Sienna’s mom role is nice to rehab her image. She was not working and need to pivot to save her career.
But Sienna is the same Sienna topless on a boat with married man of 5 children.

    • Andrea says:

Wow, this story is truly horrifying especially about your friend!

    • Cankles says:

That must have taken some stones on Sienna’s part, considering she isn’t actually from London either and also moved there when she was a child. What a contemptible, unpleasant woman. I’m sorry your friend had to deal with that.

      • MildredFierce says:

Sienna was a real —- her date had to snipe er, swoosh in and told Sienna to knock it off. My friend is tough but she was taken back.. Sienna is an elite, posh princess though…

    • G says:

Was Sienna on a date with this American guy? I totally believe her and Tom have been done for a long time. She went to the Oscars and Globes alone too.

  34. Firebomber says:

I find her absolutely gorgeous. Love her style of dressing. Kind of quirky but interesting at the same time. Too bad about her relationship, esp when there are children involved. she’s not the only women to ever have an affair with a married man. Angelina Jolie???

  35. HighFive says:

Anybody see the Wimbledon photos of her and married agent Ari Emanuel who has his hand on her knee?? Suspicious … ?

    • Dara says:

She and Chiwetel Ejiofor also didn’t seem to mind sharing each other’s personal space

    • MildredFierce says:

She is on the hunt for a powerful man in Hollywood…so it would not surprise me. She doesn’t want a lowly stage/ movie actor. She thinks has made her way onto the upper level now and wants to stay. She was there jittery for Christopher Nolan. She is hustlin’
The irony is Tom is the one with the work ethic and HE influence her to try to do better work and get better parts…

      • HighFive says:

That is truly so sad .. Nolan has been married to his wife who helps him produce for YEARS and he doesn’t seem so dense as to go for it! Makes me wonder if she hooked up with Eastwood!

      • Betti says:

@MildredFierce: Actually that makes sense – she wants a power player to help get her to A List and Affleck fits the bill – he’s a producer/director/writer as well as an A List actor, a very big hitter in Hollywood. Considering that he’s just bought a hot rod car and will no doubt party up a storm, he and Sienna WILL hook up as the temptation for both (given reps) will be too much. Affleck maybe a douche but he’s a talented one.

Re: Tom helping her – yes i can see that. With some of the roles she has taken you can see the Indie influence and while i haven’t seen anything recent she has been in i can imagine he helped with her acting (which has always been passable). He was always the talented one.

  36. ican'tsnap says:

Least-shocking split of all time. They always looked SO mismatched to me. If she hadn’t gotten pregnant I doubt it would have been much more than a fling.

  37. L says:

Didn’t know much about him and saw him in a play (w/ Alec Baldwin). He’s quite talented, IMO.

  38. Lisa says:

There is no way she’s just 33. No way.

  39. LAK says:

I’ve always thought that they were mis-matched. He didn’t seem like her type. I guess I was right.

  40. Tig says:

I guess he’s a better stage actor than film, bec he was by far the worse part of Far from the Madding Crowd. He was cute in Pirate Radio, but what was he, 19?

If Sienna goes back to her partying ways, hope she gets a great nanny. Hangovers and preschoolers don’t do well together!

  41. Megan says:

    Oooh! Bienna…Benenna…Sibenna?
