Earlier this week we reported on Ben Affleck’s mistress and onetime nanny to his kids, Christine Ouzounian, staging a bikini photo op with Star Magazine. Ouzounian fed the tabloid some ridiculous details attributed to a “source,” presumably the same person who took the pics of her lounging poolside at the Bel Air hotel. She claimed that she was still talking to Ben daily, and that he let her down gently by telling her “he loved me, but he can’t be with me under these circumstances.” At the time, I wondered who was footing the bill for the nanny’s stay in an exclusive hotel, where rooms start at over $900 a night. As we heard from People Magazine, Ben is paying the tab, of course.
Well Ouzanian just pulled the same stunt she did with Star except she did it with In Touch. In Touch has new bikini photos of her at the Hotel Bel Air. In one she’s checking her phone like she’s texting with Ben. In another she’s having a drink with a friend. They also have more details of her stay there. Ben is paying for everything, she’s invited her friends to hang out with her at the hotel, and he also gave her enough money to last a few months. If Ben doesn’t continue to bankroll this woman, she’s threatening to sue Jennifer Garner for wrongful termination. We’ve heard this before from her, and it’s such a hollow threat. Here’s more:
Ben Affleck and Christine Ouzounian – the nanny who multiple sources confirm to In Touch magazine had a fling with Ben while working for him and his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner — have been in constant contact since their scandalous romance broke in late July but sources tell the mag that it may all be to avoid further scandal.
A source exclusively reveals to In Touch that Ben has put Christine up at his favorite luxury hotel and is paying for everything and spoiling her: “Christine is living the high life holed up in a swanky suite and Ben is paying for all of it — even for her girlfriends, who have been staying with her,” a friend tells In Touch of the nanny, who worked for the Afflecks this spring and was let go around the time of their divorce announcement on June 30. “Ben has given her enough money to cover all her bills and expenses, plus spending money, for at least the next three months. She doesn’t have to worry about a thing.” Ben’s rep has called reports of a romance between Ben and Christine “garbage.”
However, the friend believes “Ben’s leading her on so that she stays quiet.”
Adds the source, “He knows he needs to keep her happy or the whole thing could turn ugly really fast. She doesn’t feel burned by Ben — not yet, anyway.” And if she gets burned, Jen is going to feel the heat. Another source tells In Touch: “Christine is considering suing Jennifer Garner for wrongful termination. If Ben dumps her, she will sue.”
If things couldn’t get worse for Jen, the first source says, “Christine has been calling and texting Ben nonstop. She’s in love with him and is telling friends that she would marry Ben the minute his divorce is finalized.”

Ok this makes a lot more sense to me now. I truly didn’t believe Ben would be stupid enough to pay for this woman’s luxury suite as she was doing pap walks and talking to the press, but he somehow thinks he’s mitigating the situation. He’s super rich, so this is nothing to him. How idiotic is this woman though? She just keeps calling the different tabloids and she’s trying to live the high life for ten minutes. She should be getting Ben’s cash and saving it, not blowing it by partying at a tony LA resort. (He probably gave her cash plus he’s footing the bill, but still this is not a smart move.)
Also, she’s never going to sue Jennifer Garner. People reported that Garner gave Ouzounian a poor performance review at her nanny agency for not caring for the children properly. She doesn’t have a case at all against Garner. She could theoretically sue Affleck for harassment as he was her boss, but think of the high power lawyers he’ll get. She might be able to get Gloria Allred but it’s not like she has a case there either.
Page Six has a new article about Ouzounian’s personality and “what she’s like”. They’ve run stories straight from the PR people for Affleck in the past so this may actually be coming from him. They claim that she was “spunky” and “good-hearted” in high school and “was well-liked enough to attend a 10-year reunion two weekends ago.” What?! I always go to my high school reunions, reunions are a blast, and I don’t consider it a badge of honor or anything. They also report that “she’s like a spunky personality… she’s good-hearted, smiling a lot, she’s quirky.” Is this Ben’s attempt to make the nanny seem relatable? Like to explain his wandering dick? Something like “fun, quirky, good-hearted woman steps into the orbit of a henpecked husband with an inattentive wife.” Because it sounds just like that.
Finally, at the end of the Page Six article, their source says “I think she’s trying to be undercover. I know that she was trying to get away because there’s paparazzi outside her mom’s house. She doesn’t want to have her mom and her family be involved.” Hahahaha.

I think she’s trying any angle she can to hold onto him, and/or prolong her “fame”. It’s not about having a valid case, it’s about feeding the tabloids. This chick is THIRSTY or CRAZY or maybe both.

She can probably make a case around the bad performance review (??). If she did an excellent job with the kids (despite her extra curricular activities) she may have a shot. Especially if she’s unable to find work to support herself because of a bad reference from Jen.
No. Because that was an internal review while employed with the agency. Upon severance, Ben wrote a glowing letter of recommendation. Jen got hold of it and parsed it way down to the bare minimum, but it was still a letter of recommendation.
CA is an at-will employment state. Bascially, I think they can dismiss her if they don’t like her hair or crappy shoes or, in this case, refusal to fold kids’ clothes or truculent attitude about getting off Ben’s lap. I am not sure she can use age, gender or disability to fight this.
I would think that putting the Daddy to bed as well is a very good reason for a bad perfomance review. And since it was probably her who leaked the story and won’t be quiet about it, she will never find work as a nanny again. She made her bed (and his).

and the only reason she won’t find work (at least as a nanny) is that SHE BANGED THE HUSBAND…seems like a pretty legit reason to me, and of her own doing.

If she went away quietly, and didn’t pose in bikinis and take money from tabloids left and right, the public could have had reasonable doubt about her level of influence in initiating the relationship, and she might have held quiet sympathy, if this story leaked from someone else. She screwed the pooch and better save her money now, because no one else is going to hire her because she is radioactive in spilling secrets.

I don’t know how well that would work at this point though. Unless she has hard evidence they will be able to chalk it up to a very bitter mistress making up lies because Ben broke her heart. This is becoming silly – all of these speculations of a huge scandal, so big, it will sink Hollywood or something. People keep saying this and I can’t see it at all. Seriously, what could be bigger than Woody Allen molesting his daughter and marrying his girlfriend’s daughter he helped raise? Or, bigger still, Roman Polanski and his rape of a child? Drugs? In Hollywood? I am shocked! I think it is what it is. He was banging the nanny. Plus, if she were blackmailing him, that is illegal and she could very quickly be arrested. I think it was Rob Lowe who had one of those and he dealt with her very aggressively and quickly.

That money to pay for the hotel could also be severance pay, which technically would come from Ben (and Jen).
I don’t think she would be so foolish or delusional to use severance pay to pay for the hotel. But who knows? The fact that she has stayed that long, and has girlfriends staying? visiting? is starting to give credence to the supposition that Ben is paying. The only way he is still communicating with her, is if she actually does have something pretty devastating on him. Otherwise she is just gambling that this will parlay into a playboy centerfold, or something of that nature. The longer she stays, the more it looks like she has something on him. Isn’t this blackmail more or less though?
I don’t see why having friends visit supports the idea that Ben is paying. Severance, especially with an awkward dismissal, can be quite a large amount.
There is nothing in her actions that suggests she isn’t both foolish and delusional.
I think she could be that delusional. Some people think they can take a scandal and turn it into a career. As it is she destroyed many of her work opportunities by cashing in on the story. She absolutely won’t get work as a nanny or celebrity assistant now. Her sister’s career could suffer from the fallout. If she does have something on him, she should be careful in how she is handling that, because I think Ben would actually go after her for extortion.

Ben and Jen probably did, and that is what she is using to fund her stay in expensive hotels. I don’t think she is being fully honest when she says “Ben is paying for her hotel”. That could technically be true if a severance payment was given out, which it most likely did.
By “sources” talking to tabloids instead of her directly, she is avoiding breaking a privacy clause….until they can trace the “source” back to her, anyway.

I agree with you that MAYBE he doesn’t want her gone. But I have different reasoning. I don’t think he cares that she is a “sure thing”. As much as most of us are not interested in Ben Afleck sexually, I think that he could go anywhere / anytime and find some strange that he didn’t have to work for. He is a celeb in Hollywood. But I do wonder if he wants HER to think he wants her around. If she really does think he loves her, and really is unhinged, he might be stringing her along to try to keep as much of a lid on this as possible. I think a lot depends on how much influence Violet has over how her siblings think. I would be surprised if Violet didn’t know something at this point. Ben, I think I’m pretty hard on Ben. Ben, a defenseless victim? That’s funny. I like Ben, but I’ve been very derogatory in my reaction to what he did to Jen and the kids with the nanny affair under her nose and his selfishness.
I’m posting on a thread about the nanny and another one of her stories she has sold to a gossip rag.
flaca, typically I’d agree with your points because patriarchy is oppressive and everywhere, but I think the nanny’s behavior after the story broke has been pretty tasteless and opportunistic. Add that to the fact that she was the kids’ nanny and how that might impact them, and it paints a picture of a pretty awful person. Acknowledging that she hasn’t made the best choices doesn’t mean Ben is off the hook. They both have made themselves look pretty terrible in this whole drama.

Those photos of her showing up at his bungalow in July could also be interpreted as her just delivering the “goods” to him. That didn’t look like champagne to me. It looked like a big ole bottle of straight up booze. He’s know to have a problem with substance abuse (as did his father before him), so she’s looks like she is just a huge enabler. At 28 she would know better. That’s how skanks ingratiate themselves into a troubled person’s life–enabling. It’s an old story. A friend’s husband went down the tubes and died because he left her for a woman who helped him drink himself to death.
I agree…those photos in and of themselves are not evidence of a sexual relationship. He may have asked her to bring him something from Jen’s house and she set up the photographers…they didn’t hug, they didn’t kiss…I don’t see any pics of her going into his house…it’s just her saying she went in and stayed two hours…no pics of her leaving later….I think this chick is a nutjob! I feel like I’m missing something. When they announced they were divorcing, both Jen & Ben’s camps were saying they’d already been separated 10 months. Now that’s pretty obviously a lie or at least half truth, but still, they were united on that piece of information.
It seems this relationship with the nanny started recently, like within the last couple of months, (maybe more like the last 6 weeks?), when they were actually, truly separated. So why is this playing out like an affair took place? Jen’s PR is saying out of one side of their mouths that this is what ended the marriage, while at the same time saying Jen didn’t even know until after they announced they were divorcing. It can’t be both.
I get that hooking up with the nanny is poor behavior (though not rare behavior), and I have no doubt that Ben has cheated dozens of times during his marriage, but this particular relationship took place after he and Jen had ended things. So why the fuss? Why the sob story coming from Jen’s side. If they have actually been separated for 10 months, it’s not remotely surprising he’s been seeing other people (most people start dating again whilst separated), and while he certainly could have chosen better, I’m not quite understanding the outrage and pearl clutching?
A couple of weeks ago it was all, ‘it’s been over for almost a year’, now suddenly it’s ‘the marriage ended because I just found out he was screwing the nanny’. I’m just not buying it. Either the marriage was over and there’s nothing to see here except a starf#$%^% enjoying her 15mins, or they were totally lying about the timeline and Jen was under the impression they were going to reconcile? Either way there’s so much media manipulation going on here it’s crazy.
If anything about their original statement’s about their divorce was true, then the easiest way to make this woman go away is to reiterate that. “We’ve been separated a while, we’ve both moved on, nothing to see here”. Playing like this has been some terrible betrayal is what’s making this such a huge story. So I have to think this is what Jen’s team wants. Because if she wanted to minimise the damage and exposure all she has to do is say what she’s already said, that they were separated for 10 months, thus no one has cheated.

Before the a divorce is actually decreed theres always hope for reconciliation. Having said that, I dont think anybody was actually hoping this for Ben and Jen. Even before Nannygate, we thought this was an unhealthy relationship between a man who treats his wife terribly and the wife who just sits and takes it.
I said something similar on the other Affleck/Garner thread from this morning. Garner’s playing this like the affair with the nanny is what broke up their marriage. It feels like this was the spaghetti strand that stuck to the wall. Though at least no one’s talking about a drug addiction any more?
Personally, I think Garner was hamstrung by what she could say about why they’re breaking up, out of decency/respect for her kids’ father/necessity.

We have Ben Affleck and a nanny, with said ex-nanny being put up at Hotel Bel-Air setting up her own leaks and pap shots while Ben hides out out of state.
She may have at least enough of a legal case to get to court (or arbitration). Not clear she would win but she might.
The comments on at-will employment don’t apply. You have a right to end employment for any reason EXCEPT a small number of legally protected ones. Sexual harassment, gender discrimination or (most importantly) RETALIATION would supersede any at-will rules.
I am tired of this theory that being holed up in hotel is a life of extravagance. So she’s surrounded by poshness. Who cares? She’s still stranded at a hotel, doesn’t have her own place, doesn’t seem to have her own car, and now we know any money she has right now is coming from Ben. How is that the lap of luxury. Shopping gets old, she can’t leave or Ben will cut her off. I’m guessing she’s actually pretty lonely and unhappy behind the curtains. I certainly hope so. This is great gossip considering how well planned it seemed to be. But all of this, plus what we know about Afflecks history with gambling and booze, just makes me wonder why the hell Garner was so keen to make this marriage work for so long in the first place. Yes they have kids, I get that, but she must’ve kept on accepting his behaviour over and over again. Where was her self-respect in all of this? Since she worked for NPH, could she have met Ben on set of Gone Girl bringing Neil’s kids to see him….then she could have been seeing him a while ……Left Neil’s employment, Jen hired her because Neil gave her good references…..and that could have been the straw….I actually think Jen is glad he is gone and I think Ben is mad he doesn’t have a clean up girl anymore. With the multi billion dollars franchise lies on Ben Affleck’s shoulders I don’t think WB will going to risk any publicity if Ben goes back to rehab (publicly). This girl is a perfect diversion, (she is still not talking, aside from sources here and there) once the public sinked it’s fang to the nanny gate scandal, Ben can go back to rehab without the the public knowledge. “Nobody give a sh*t about Ben Affleck whereabouts he is dbag anyway suffering a mid-life crisis, let focus to ex-nanny instead is she pregnant?” etc. etc

The ‘source’ likely has a name that rhymes with pristine (LOL). And the bikini photos are likely taken by a guest who just happens to know the ‘pristine’ one.

(Note: they would have had her sign an ironclad confidentiality contract before letting her come anywhere near the family home, but she’s probably had advice that this roll of the die was a good play as Garner and Affleck are unlikely to take her to court because they wouldn’t want to fan the flames.)

I don’t understand why some people insist on having affairs while they’re in a relationship with someone else. If you’re unhappy with the state of your relationship, get out of it before getting your jiggy with another person. Especially when there are kids involved.
I say Ben should cut her off financially and let her sue. Oh yeah, nanny – have fun with your wrongful termination lawsuit. I had an excellent case and eventually won, but it was a lot of work and three years of hellish litigation. I would be shocked if her case even made it past summary judgment. It doesn’t hold water. She deserved to be terminated.
