Did Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux just get secretly married? That’s what TMZ is wondering today – go here to see TMZ’s photos of Aniston’s Bel Air property. It seems like Aniston went all out to throw some kind of huge party (or something) on the property and it might have been wedding-y? Wedding-ish?
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux had a surprise wedding at their Bel Air mansion last night — OR they just threw a massive birthday party that had all the fixings of a wedding. Our sources say Jen told friends she was throwing a surprise 44th bday bash for Justin. Friends like Howard Stern, Chelsea Handler and Lisa Kudrow showed up. But the cake we spotted going into the house on Wednesday afternoon looks awful wedding-ish.
It had TWO muppet-like characters — male and female — on the top. If it was just a birthday party for Justin … why have 2 people on the cake?
Second major clue — an actual man of the cloth! A pastor WITH bible in hand was spotted walking into the house. Who blesses a birthday party?
And we’re told a giant shed was built over the past week to hide all the furniture and party supplies — which were set up in the backyard yesterday afternoon. They also had their pool covered to create more walking space in the backyard.
Whatever went down, our sources say Jen went to great lengths to keep it under wraps — staffers’ phones were confiscated all week leading up to the event, and no parking was allowed near the property. Mazel tov?
Considering Justin “proposed” to Jennifer on HIS birthday, I think it’s possible that Jennifer would organize a wedding around his birthday party too. I also think it’s possible that she just went all out for what was a surprise birthday. Hell, I don’t know. I’ve been saying these two would split this year, so if they did get secret-married, it would genuinely surprise me. Wouldn’t it be funny if the wedding was also a “surprise” to Justin? Hahahaha. “SURPRISE, happy birthday, we’re getting married today!!! I got us matching quartz wedding bands!!” Alternate theory: she was throwing a dog wedding.

I was wondering why they were playing re-runs this week on his Sirius channel, as he just got back from two weeks of vacation, where he spent the whole time at his house in the Hamptons. If he was in LA, it certainly wasn’t just for some birthday party…it would only be for something as important as a wedding! It IS interesting though, because he used to slam her looks and loved Angelina Jolie. Most JP fans in their comments over the years have longed for Aniston to remarry and be happy so her fans would finally stop feeling the need to avenge her. They are still being downright mean and nasty about the JPs. That is another one by Aniston fans, so try that for conspiracy. Angie fans get mean in retaliation but if you notice, they never drag Aniston or Jolie up in retrospective topics. They reply, but they reply to Aniston fans who say the most horrifically vile things imaginable. I too wonder where the claims of JP attacks come from. I look at a wide range of websites and across the board the comments on JP articles are always the most complimentary. Of course there are always some negative comments but even Tom Hanks gets occasional negative comments. Seriously, if you want to see hate, click on a Beyonce/Jay Z, Will/Jada, Halle/him or Saldana/him (see a pattern?) article on pretty much any website and marvel. JP fans are far too sensitive.

When I first discovered Celebitchy, HORRIBLE comments were made here about the Jolie-Pitts, but especially Angelina … and I’m not talking about benign comments on her hair, her dress, or her makeup either (the things Jennifer’s fans accuse others of being mean about). At that time many Aniston fans were still posting their hope that Brad would come to his senses and return to Jennifer as well, even after Angie got pregnant with the twins.
All you have to do is go back through the Celebitchy archive to read it for yourself (simply type in Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie in the search engine and scroll down to, say, articles from 2008 and read forward). Forget about all the nasty little tidbits about Angelina, dive right into the comments about how the twins don’t look ‘normal’ and appear to have Downs Syndrome. Of course, it was all due to Karma and the fact that Angelina was shooting heroin.
It has only been in the last 2 – 3 years that the majority of those rabid Aniston fans have seemed to move on to happier Angelina Jolie hunting grounds … though a few still remain.
@Gigi, you are either very young or lived under a rock for almost a decade. The attacks on Angelina, particularly, and Brad too, really happened and there is no way of denying it now.
Several gossip blogs and forums suffered. The fan sites had to go undercover and use registered names to withstand the haters. Tabloids made a fortune, and that was just the top of the iceberg on the internet comments and sites posting negative stories. Up to now, there are a few sites where they are dedicated to photoshop and collect pics of the JPs. They used to criticise not only the adults, but the looks and race of their children, their names, theorize negatively about their interactions seen in pics, their hair, etc.
They still exist. They even tried to start a petition to avoid an award to be given to AJ.
I actually started to like the JPs after seeing how unfairly people vilified them and took it on their children, and when new children arrived to the family, they criticised them horribly too..
Esmom and Gigi: you didn’t see those comments on this site because they would have been removed immediately and whoever posted them banned permanently. But there were plenty of comments on other websites that would have made you literally sick to your stomach. Death wishes against Angie and her children, calling her adopted children racist names, etc. etc. Just because you didn’t see it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It’s only been in the past three or four years that the attacks have diminished.
Like Ennie, I was fairly indifferent to Brad and Angie until I saw the horrific attacks they were subjected to.
So this is all from years ago? Because I dont think I have personally ever seen this alleged viciousness. Not even sites like TMZ where you can generally count on things to spiral fast, the worst it gets is people saying that Angie is too skinny. Dlisted and Datalounge comments are snarky about everybody. Daily Mail comments are generally pro, same for Gawker and Pajiba. Just Jared can kick off but the Aniston posts are equally vicious. And they get a very easy ride in the comments here. Where exactly is the drama?

Read any Us magazine or People magazine article comments. It’s filled with people that hate Angelina and anything Angelina related, including her children. Also there’s a place called Female First. It’s a anti-Angelina site that stalks Angelina and her family every move. They make nasty comments about her kids gender, looks, clothes, and features. I visited there a few years back and I haven’t been there since. I wanted to clean with eyes afterwards. . I didn’t realize there were people that nasty on the internet. I lurked her a few years ago before I started commenting on stories. The ladies above are right. The AJ threads were a hot mess a few years back.

Just a few things, people are breaking up left and right. High-profile people. This time is actually ideal to get married under the radar as the Affleck scandal is much more interesting (both Affleck and Garner are A-list whereas Theroux not a big deal). We don’t know how much was planned but since it was a surprise for everybody, they must have kept it really tight. Somebody could have tipped the papz for a birthday party, not a wedding.
Second, the reason why I don’t believe that they leaked anything or that they wanted the media to know is because Aniston would surely know the game better. Why let papz leak dodgy grainy pictures? Pitt and JA only released 1 picture and they were much more in demand , say what you will but the both of them valued their privacy for that wedding.
For months now her and Theroux are ‘apart’ and ‘breaking up’, most here didn’t even believe they were together. They played it coy about wedding plans so no, she would not allow a leak like this.
Third: TMZ has very aggressive and illegal tactics to obtain info, The New Yorker is going to do an expose on them. When TMZ has an ‘exclusive’, I’m not 100% convinced that the celeb is always in on it. Aniston and TMZ don’t go together. I can see a spread with People to control the narrative. TMZ has their own narrative which is why A-listers don’t work with them.
As for the ‘copying’. At the end of the day the JP’s played it coy too with the engagement being introduced by a photo op… the wedding was secret as in the ceremony took place and nobody knew but we still got a lot of details which negates the whole ‘keeping it a secret’ part. When we know about it, it ain’t a secret anymore. So what if we get some grainy pictures now? We don’t know details (yet) and we haven’t seen the dress and cake (yet). Next week we might get the HQ shots and interview, just like we got it with the Pitts that’s celebs for ya. You should be used to it by now.

If it was kept secret, why do we know about it? Oh because they started talking about their wedding. Who cares we didn’t get a live update on the day itself with papz present? Secrets can be outed AFTER the fact which is what happened. They themselves outed the secret. We saw everything: the cake, the dress, the kids. Everything. Secrets are that what STAYS secret otherwise it isn’t a secret anymore.
If nobody knew, why come out with it? They pulled it off, congrats to them and then they started blabbing even the tiniest details (Pax made the cake! Jolie is wearing jewellery from her mom!). That spread would have sold without any of these details because the Pitts are A+++++ list.

The paps know when Justin bday is so they are outside their house every year.I agree if they wanted to keep the fact they were having a wedding they would have covered the cake and asked the minister to wear street clothes and put his bible in a bag.So they weren’t really having a secret wedding.
His birthday is on the 10th which is next Monday the wedding took place 6 days before then.
They’d notice the preparations that take place before a large party. Tents, valet set up, etc.
That seems to happen with most celebs who try a private backyard wedding. Someone somewhere tips off TMZ or whatever, and then there’s aerial and long distance photos. I remember it happening with one of JLo’s weddings, and I think recently Cameron Diaz too.

Clicked over and checked out the pictures on TMZ and People and I must say they went pretty low key for a wedding. Yes the tables were beautiful after dark with the candles but otherwise it was nothing fancy. Maybe that was the vibe they were going for, like they’ve been together so long they already feel married so no need for a splashy wedding? Just get everyone together and do it?
Also, does anyone remember Jennifer saying how she was tired of all her friends showing up over dressed to her parties because they were worried the party might be a surprise wedding? And she told them don’t worry she’d give them notice ahead of time that it was a wedding. Then here she goes throwing a birthday party/surprise wedding. So predictable.

I was in California two weeks ago and couldn’t believe all the bright green lawns. And this is in the middle of the worst drought in the state’s history with no relief in sight. What are they going to do when there’s no water left to drink?
Actually not everyone is wasting water to keep their yards green. I just read an article about how many people in CA are using “greywater,” which is diverted shower and bath water, to water their yards.
But what about big lawns where only one or two people live? The house workers may not use that much water. SO they must be using clean water for the gardens.
There is actually a company in California who are making a MINT right now painting lawns green using environmentally safe products that lasts about 4-5 weeks
I live in California and there’s article after article in the papers about the rich thumbing their noses at the water regulation. And, they’re not using grey water. There’s not enough grey water recycling plants yet. Most of the grey water available is recycled and pumped back into wells for better uses. The ads are telling us to let the lawns go brown, but the rich people say they have the money to pay and don’t care. The water regulation mostly applies to others and not them. Further, the government is even giving people money to switch over to desert landscaping, which pisses me off. The rich really are selfish pricks when it comes to their giant lawns, giant swimming pools, and huge houses (which takes tons of hydro-electric power to cool.)
Tom Selleck was recently fined $20k for taking thousands of gallons of water from a fire hydrant in a neighboring town (of course he wouldn’t steal from the city he lives in!) and he didn’t really care.
The drought’s still on in Cali? It’s just that I’d seen a couple weeks ago that it was raining/the drought was broken…on the news.

It’s been confirmed they are married now. So I guess Celebitchy was wrong in stating so many times they would never get married. Congratulations to the couple they are an awesome couple and it’s her wedding she can whatever she wants.

Yeah, I cannot imagine that happening in reality. I adore all of who reside within the triangle of nothing to see here. If you believe that a man would marry someone to prevent an embarrassing situation taking place if he didn’t, what the H kind of men are you hanging out with?

Shelley, Pitt was never adulterous, it was proven he did not have an affair but it is Aniston was the unashamed homewrecker who cheated with Justin, and FLAUNTED it in Heidi Bivens face who she ‘stole’ him from, after 14 years, so why are you happy for an unashamed homewrecker to be married to a cheater? You just prove the point about Aniston fans being the worst. Brad has moved on to a better woman who gave him the happiness and family Aniston refused to.
