Jennifer Aniston scored a $5 million advertising deal with Emirates airlines

When Jennifer Aniston married Justin Theroux last week, I made a “joke” that the wedding was likely sponsored by SmartWater, Aveeno and Living Proof, because sister’s always getting paid somehow. While Aniston’s career hasn’t been going gangbusters for a few years, she still makes a lot of money every year from her very lucrative endorsement/advertising deals – my guess is that SmartWater and Aveeno are the most lucrative and Living Proof (which she invested in and of which she is the sole celebrity face) probably isn’t making that much money for her at this point. But Aniston is still looking to ink new deals, and it looks like her ritzy wedding probably did have a sponsor, because this little item appeared in Page Six this weekend:

Jennifer Aniston scored a very lucrative gift to herself ahead of her secret wedding to Justin Theroux. The actress has just landed a deal with airline Emirates worth around $5 million, sources exclusively tell Page Six.

We’re told that Aniston, 46, has shot a campaign for Emirates, which is based in Dubai and is the world’s biggest international carrier.

The move to sign the former “Friends” star comes on the heels of Nicole Kidman’s ad campaign for Etihad Airways, the second-largest UAE airline after Emirates.

A source told us: “Jennifer Aniston has shot a high-profile campaign for Emirates as part of this deal, for which she is being paid around $5 million. She will appear across TV and print ads worldwide.” Reps for the airline and Aniston declined to comment.

[From Page Six]

This makes me wonder if Emirates perhaps gifted Aniston with the private jet she used to fly herself, her new husband and some friends to Bora Bora for their group honeymoon. I’m not even joking – I feel like there’s a reason why this piece of news came out only a few days after her wedding. There’s some kind of sponsorship deal, like all those times Jennifer and her other boyfriends got pap’d with SmartWater.

Speaking of the “group honeymoon” – for sure, Aniston and Theroux brought friends to their honeymoon, but Chelsea Handler wasn’t one of those friends. Thank God. That sounds so much better, right? It would be FUN to hang out with Jason Bateman during your honeymoon, but Chelsea Handler? Nope.

Final thing – Justin’s The Leftovers costar Liv Tyler posted this Instagram on Saturday. Presumably, Liv had her baby Sailor Gene on the Texas set and I guess Justin’s reaction to seeing Liv’s baby was to kiss the baby’s hand. Which is very sweet. Remember those rumors last year? I still don’t think this is anything other than “Justin and Liv have a friendly relationship.” The other woman in these photo is Margaret Qualley, who plays Justin’s daughter in the TV show. Qualley is also the daughter of Andie McDowell.

Hooray! Self-tanner for everyone! On the house.

  2. vauvert says:

While I think very poorly of her acting skills and general intelligence not to mention lack of any visible interest, I admire her hustling skills and the ability to book such ads despite a lacklustre career. hey, if you can get someone to fly you in a private jet, pay you $5M and all you do is film a commercial, way to go.

    • Mara says:

Agreed. Its almost refreshing after watching Ben Affleck handle his separation so poorly or Nicholas Cage struggle to page his tax bill to see someone whose seems very competent at getting exactly what ‘they’ want out of Hollywood.

    • Artemis says:

If she wasn’t intelligent, she wouldn’t be able to hustle this much when her marketability isn’t what it used to be. She might not be well-versed in politics or any subject that requires an in-depth knowledge of current affairs but that doesn’t mean she is stupid. She pours her intelligence in her public image and deals like this. Her choice and it’s a good one.

There are so many celebs who try and sound deep but fail because of narcissism, I don’t need another narcissist pretending she is learning and caring about the world. Nah, I’m good with shallow Aniston and her dumb movies.

      • The Original G says:

Of course, only narcissists try to learn and care about the world.

The smart people pour their intelligence into representing that the results of daily hair dressing and extensions are were instead created by hair products.

BTW, she’s known to have mentioned that she hates flying and travel, so kudos to her team for getting her this gig. No shame in being a successful marketing personality, but why do you use that as an occasion to throw shade at people who are interested in other things?

        She has good representation.

      • minx says:

I think it’s the opposite–narcissists don’t learn or care about the world, because they are too busy being, you know, narcissistic.

      • vauvert says:

I think gigs like this come because either her agents are very good at what they do, or the airline approached her because??? It’s not like she rang up the CEO of a company and said “I want to represent you”. Hence – if her intelligence is limited to accepting a great deal that is offered to her… sorry, still no respect for that. I personally can’t imagine what person would turn down a high paying job like that (for minimum effort) if it was presented to them on a platter.

Sorry but if you (and I mean Jen) are such a privileged person and all you can get out of life is tans, margaritas and trips to Cabo I will never respect you. You don’t want to devote time and effort to a cause because you are selfish, ok – but at least travel the world for self improvement, get a hobby, read widely so you stop sounding like a 12 year old – I don’t know, anything other than hair and the beach. But maybe that’s just me…

@Artemis, wrote: “If she wasn’t intelligent, she wouldn’t be able to hustle this much when her marketability isn’t what it used to be.”

Now, by ‘intelligent’ and ‘hustle’ you mean Steve Huvane, right? There is no way Jen is doing her own PR and project negotiations when every print interview is scripted for her. And hasn’t it been established that this woman has a TEAM behind her every move? Jen’s stock began to plummet around 2010. The ‘backlash’ predicted against Angelina Jolie happened to Jen instead, and (I believe, which means in my opinion) deservedly so.

      • Colette says:

Kim K and Jen the most” intelligent “women in the industry.Contact Mensa.I forget to add Jessica Simpson to the list.

      • Artemis says:

        @everybody:

LOL, of course not. I’m talking about narcissistic celebs who clearly don’t care about anybody but themselves but try and pretend they do for their public image. There are celebs who do care and they subsequently come across as genuine. A narcissist would automatically fail in trying to convey a caring image because we know it’s NOT true.

Aniston has never consistently shown any depth into complex issues so I would not believe it at first if she would start trying now. Unless she supports her words with actions. Just talking and staying shallow is usually the dead giveaway that the celeb is a narcissistic who can’t walk the walk. For example: Leo D. who has a huge carbon footprint but is all about the environment, Scarlett and Oxfam, all those popstars who performed for dictators, Swift and feminism, Jay Z and Occupy Wallstreet, etc…

        @G
I don’t care for Aniston’s products but I can see she’s making money off of it and that’s her choice. She doesn’t pretend to care about much else and I don’t need her to. She’s much more believable as an airhead. She knows how to stay in her lane. That was my point, I don’t know where you get it from that I was shading people.

        @vauvert and Emma
Why are we expecting people who barely graduated high school and who have rarely shown depth in even their creative work to all of a sudden get all political? A celeb is not a politician and it takes long and hard work to become well-versed in issues that are beyond your chosen career. At the end of the day, you’re still here reading about Aniston’s deals even though you don’t have to so clearly there is something she’s doing right. We all know Aniston is not going to change so why act like you expect anything else from her? If you want depth from a person, maybe not visit a gossip site and click on the one person that will provide the least depth? Who cares if Aniston reads? I sure as hell don’t.

BTW, having a good team means nothing when you cannot give something back to them. She must provide them good money ‘cuz otherwise, they would not keep getting her these deals.

      • Neil says:

        edit

      • carol says:

@Artemis LOL! Couldn’t agree with you more. Aniston does support many charities and issues that have touched her personally. Yes, she probably doesn’t know much about the Sudan or that it’s not a line of handbags, but at least she is not like Sean Penn who thinks he is an expert on an issue just because he had dinner with a corrupt Prez of a third world country, or other celebrities who have read an article in Marie Claire and think they are now experts on that issue. Also just about every actress including Anjelina Jolie has endorsement deals. Jennifer is smart to make money while she can. I would!!!

    • lola says:

There are big name movie stars that were offered this shilling job first, they all turned it down. If you are a big star making big money you don’t need to shill for an airline. Especially if the majority of the customers flying this particular airline have absolutely no idea who you are.
I have a feeling the big stars were offered at least twice if not 3 times as much as Aniston was able to get.

      • Esmom says:

And you know this how? And who were the big names who turned the deal down? I can’t imagine someone turing $10-15 mil for this, no matter who they are.

      • lola says:

You’d be surprised who turns down that kind of money. Not everyone in Hollywood is desperate for money. Aniston is just trying every means possible to replace the money she was once getting for movie roles. Aniston would never be offered anything close to $5 million for a movie role, now. She is begging for movie roles, it’s just that no one wants to hire her. Look at her films, she can’t get anyone to a theater, and in HW, that’s all that matters.

      • Esmom says:

So, again, who turned down the deal?

      • morc says:

Please, DiCaprio shillsd phones in China, Clooney shills coffee in Euope, Pitt shills phone services in Germany, cars (Buick) in China.
Kobe and Messi shill for Turkish Airlines.

EVERYBODY wants a piece of that fat corporate spokesmodel pie.

      • doofus says:

what about shilling for perfume, lola? is that a similarly desperate move?

and I’d also like to know what other “big name movie stars” were offered this opportunity but turned it down.

as morc said, everybody will endorse something, if the price is right. it’s an easy job for a celeb compared to a movie/tv show…show up for one day, read some lines a few times, don’t even have to necessarily appear on camera (for the voice-over ads) and get paid millions? I think a celeb would be stupid to NOT do it.

      • Cleo says:

They don’t necessarily want to shill for a still controversial socially backwards geo hot spot that is still fundamentalist and an abomination on women’s rights. For every luxury Dubai hotel, there are 3 women being prosecuted for French kissing their boyfriends in public, or wearing jeggings.

      • doofus says:

“They don’t necessarily want to shill for a still controversial socially backwards geo hot spot that is still fundamentalist and an abomination on women’s rights.”

absolutely true….that still doesn’t answer the question of who turned it down, for how much, and how Lola knows this. nor does it answer the question of “Does shilling for a product only equal “desperation” when Aniston does it, or when anyone does it?”

perfume or a clothing line is ok, but airlines are desperate? just trying to figure out where Lola draws the line.

  3. Thea says:

So someone who has confessed to being scared of flying and doesn’t like to travel much is now promoting an international airline????

Even if we leave that out, Jennifer’s international market is pretty non existent. Her movies are big flops overseas and her markebility has decreased considerably over the years. That is evident in the way her perfume is not selling well, sales for Aveeno and Smartwater haven’t increased.

    What was Emirates thinking?

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Thea, who wrote: “So someone who has confessed to being scared of flying and doesn’t like to travel much is now promoting an international airline????”

Good point, especially since ‘being scared of flying’ was the reason she gave when the press asked why she hadn’t bothered to visit her husband on the set of “Troy.”

    • neer says:

I think Emirates didn’t really research well about Aniston regarding her marketability, power & influence to the public. They didn’t do their work extensively. A good company must consider all aspects in hiring someone to promote their airline. Profitability & image are two of those factors. What a waste of money.

      • Chichi says:

Yes, the worlds largest International carrier, a multibillion dollar business, didnt do its research when picking its spokesperson. Dont you know that a business that climbs ahead in a cutthroat industry couldnt care less about the markettability of its celebrity spokesperson? Sheesh! They picked her because she is marketable to their target demography which is largely the middle aged Internatuional traveller. The show has ovwer the years aired in over 100 countries, that makes her highly recognisable perhaps even moreso than Nicole. In the end, a deal like this dowsnt go down without focus groups and intense analysis. I better leave before I am forever trapped in the soul crashing triangle. *sigh.

      • Esmom says:

        Chichi, yes. Lol.

    • Nicole says:

I don’t see how this could possibly be a problem for her because

      a) nobody but devoted gossip fans remember that Jennifer Aniston said anything about her fear of flying, ever.

      b) if anyone ever called her out on it, she could easily say that she ONLY feels safe with Air WhoeverPaystheBills because [talking points]

      c) she vets her interviews anyway, so nobody is going to question this or anything else she does unless she already has a canned answer in the bag.

    • V4Real says:

“So someone who has confessed to being scared of flying and doesn’t like to travel much is now promoting an international airline????”

People can still be afraid to fly and fly. I’m a bit afraid myself but I still fly. This could also work in her favor. She could say something like “As a person who is afraid to fly I feel safe flying with Emirate Airlines.

    • Olive says:

Fear of flying isn´t incurable and most people just need distraction on board, a chill pill or a drink.

A friend of mine needs to talk constantely otherwise she panics. People next to her always get mad cuz she babbles and babbles…
I can only fly when i read something (even the stupid board magazine does it for me).

      • Tammy says:

I need a Xanax and few drinks myself to fly.

      • Crumpet says:

Yep. My doctor always makes sure I am well stocked when I have to fly. I have social anxiety, agoraphobia and am claustrophobic. I don’t think her fear of flying should be held against her in her decision to represent the airline. We might be afraid of it, but many of us still do it. We should be admired, not denigrated.

    • Ava-L says:

Actually, internationally everyone knows who she is because of “Friends” which still plays in some countries. My best friend is Russian, and credits Friends with her mastery of English. She was obsessed with the show and had the DVD sets that had Russian subtitles. She would watch them over and over again and practice saying the dialogue like the stars.

      • Keaton says:

Yep I was about to mention “Friends.” It went off the air a long time ago but it’s watched all over the world. Aniston is not an international movie star but she’s an international TV star.

    • sassy says:

THIS Was my first thought as well……..she’s supposedly scared to fly so she takes short trips ala CABO but not so many longer ones.

    • lola says:

That they got out of paying what they would have had to pay if she was a “name”. Saved them a bundle of money.

  4. Kiddo says:

She got a deal and used the deal to fly on her honeymoon. She has a TON of money, do people honestly believe that she wouldn’t have gone on a honeymoon, if this arrangement hadn’t happened? Because she got a contract to hawk the airlines, and may have used it for honeymoon travel, is not the same as saying they sponsored her wedding. I’m not even a gigantic fan of hers. My appreciation of the players in the Bermuda Triangle of Doom is approximately equal, but the picayune microscopic analysis to locate an “AH-HA! She’s a TERRIBLE PERSON” moment to drag her with, borders on, well, you know.

    • Red32 says:

Stop making sense! It interrupts the obsessing!

      • Kiddo says:

Yeah. I usually only engage in lighthearted trolling, if at all, in these threads. Recently, I’ve begun to avoid the Triangle of Doom articles altogether. I don’t understand why you have to actively despise one party to love the other; especially since all of those parties probably don’t give a rat’s ass.

      • Izzy says:

Word, Kiddo. The craziness is starting to give me a headache.

      • V4Real says:

“The actress has just landed a deal with airline Emirates worth around $5 million, sources exclusively tell Page Six.”

I thought they meant the airline was worth only 5 million. Too early on a Sunday to be thinking.

      • Kiddo says:

Hear hear! on the thinking part. It’s too nice of a day to think, heading out into it.

    • Bridget says:

When I think sponsored weddings, I think of Star Jones hustling every freebie she could get in exchange for a mention on The View. But this? Emirates sponsored the wedding only in the same way that people’s jobs sponsor their weddings and events. It’s kind of a weird jump to make.

      • lola says:

No, I doubt they sponsored the wedding, not when the pictures are revealed, and they will be revealed, no doubt about that, and everyone is standing beside a bottle of Smartwater.
Sort of like her Cabo pap parades, where Smartwater is prominently and strategically placed where the photographer can make sure a bottle is in every shot.

    • Alyce says:

Agree on all accounts! I actually don’t care about any of them (AJ, Brad, or Jennifer) as the whole triangle thing happened when I was in high school and was more concerned with other things. I mostly just click on these articles to read the nutbar comments. 😝

  5. Colette says:

Cool, does that airlines fly to Cabo?

  6. Catelina says:

    Cool. Get your money, girl.

  7. enastein says:

@ Kiddo few months back when Aniston became more of sponsorship lady than actress , more comments were about how shallow ..blah blah , . people lost Interest in her & were bored of her products.

whether she got sponsored or struck the deal while marrying , still the announcement after such media coverage of her private marriage changes the tune of comments and Eco Emirates airline bigger.

Many people will doubt such tactics , but announcement timing is big factor of it and when you will get the maximum attention of it. In Aniston case, marriage , kids , is the highest where she was covered or will be covered . her love life is where her strength in media and tabloids.

emirates airlines announce the deal or who ever told page six because now she is high on news not like even month before. I think Kaeser meant , the announcement is very well planned and aware of such big news coming. details .. i am not sure but not far from of it.

you and me and others know such deals does not close in one day, but announcing them needs people attention and a hook in the first place . after her marriage the speaker went loud.

i can not say that her marriage or deal for jet is arranged but i would say this announcement is well planned.

Actually while writing this i am more associating this deal with Mo Hadid and bill air mega mansion for some middle eastern conflict happened last month where Aniston was vocal about and got many coverage about it.

To me this deal maybe is more to keep herself out of construction conflict. I think the owner of mega mansion is in the gulf region.

People are doubting the deal only because of the her previous fear of flying and not much of traveler herself.

Sorry , English is not my first language

    • Kiddo says:

Thanks, your English was pretty good. But as far as a fear of flying, she took a plane, so maybe she white knuckled it. I have a fear of flying, but do fly when there isn’t another option due to time constraints, cost or no other viable way to get over vast amounts of the planet, lol.

      • enastein says:

Thank you for your encouragement 🙂
Lol and i agree when there is no other option. I am more of bicycle girl & I fear driving cars but i can not deny taking my parents to places with taxi when there is no other options.

      • Artemis says:

Same. I hate flying but I had to do it several times now because that is life sometimes. Aniston must fly all the time for her career despite not liking it.

Why not promote an airline company for 5 million dollars? Being scared of flying doesn’t mean flying is BAD so promoting it is also not bad. Some people have the weirdest hang-ups about Aniston!

      • rosalee says:

I hate to fly..but I love Paris and London so I pop a pill, follow it with a scotch and think of Tinkerbell.. but what the hell I’d fly across the ocean in sober for a $5 million contract

  8. Liberty says:

She may as well get the money. Didn’t Cumberbatch do some car poses on his CA honeymoon, and doesn’t he do adverts for MG and Jaguar? Make the hay.

My side-eye is reserved for the gross TerryRichardson connection, Handler’s wolf bite, but really, the fact they have worked hard to create this very specific them-ness image and then really do nothing creative or inventive with it other than jaunts in Kneepads which even Duggars can do. He is good in comedy and can act, she has decent comedy timing and a defined sort of “thing” and they have dressed themselves up as a brand, really. And yet, just lazy shilling and poses. They are totally missing their Nick and Nora moment by wasting time on nonsense publicity and Oscar warbling. It’s like Lilly Pulitzer working hard to sell fruit and juice at her Palm Beach stand for months before realizing it was her handmade print dresses people (even Jackie Kennedy) wanted. I side-eye

    • The Original G says:

I think that Justin, in spite of enjoying the spin-off benefits of his new status, still sees himself as a more counter-culture artiste.

In fact, I see his finger prints allover her Cake experiment. Time will tell whether she will embrace more thoughtful less commercial projects.

In the meanwhile. I think you’re right. She has used her enormous fame and fortune to get beauty endorsements not expand her game professionally. But, really, she’s not that interesting, which oddly enough is a strength. She’s a perfectly manicured vehicle for female projection.

      • Bridget says:

Actually, I think Cake was all her. It wasn’t her first shot at ‘serious’ (ie non-TV) awards recognition, though it was certainly her biggest attempt. Not like she’s the first actress to go for the prize like that, though.

      • Jonathan says:

Justin still has some cred left over from is association with David Lynch. Justin was amazing in Mulholland Drive- and absolutely spectacular in Inland Empire.

      • The Original G says:

…and I think he’s good in Leftovers. I just think that his artistic interest are 180 from hers, Maybe that makes it work for them.

  9. minx says:

Good for her if she can get the money, I guess, but I wonder why Emirates would want her. She’s so, I don’t know, passé.

  10. Peggy says:

Jennifer getting five million, yeah right, it is just her PR sending out feelers for others to bid.
Sony’s Emails prove that she’ll take anything to act, and even at half her price they did not want her.
Marrying on Maddox’s birthday why? she can’t help herself from stalking.
Dynamite can’t get her off Brad’s back.

    • Crumpet says:

LOL. But seriously, the Sony emails? What was said about her that makes you say she’ll take anything to act?

      • Peggy says:

Adam Sandler was trying to get her in one of his movies, and the email questioned her box office, even though she dropped her price.
Now Adam’s Studio deal is not being renewed, too many bombs, like his friend straight to video.

      • lola says:

Didn’t Pascal laugh when talking about Aniston, saying she’d “work for peanuts”, because she was desperate. I know they were making fun of her, odd, that rarely got a sound bite, but when Rudin talked about mega stars, it was all over the news. Guess that shows where Aniston is on the sliding scale of celebrities, very near the bottom.

      • Brodie says:

Was it that she’s a minimally talented, spoiled brat? Oh never mind, that was someone else. 😀

      • lola says:

Brodie said what everyone remembers about the e-mails, because the star he was talking about is the most famous woman in the world. When Aniston was laughed about and made fun of, it got no publicity, because she’s NOT the most famous woman on the planet. Only the famous gets talked about, unless you have a PR guru that plants stories on your behalf, just so you can then deny the story.

      • lucy2 says:

Because I’ve been home with a cold and bored, I looked into this, as I didn’t remember anything about Aniston in the Sony news, and something like that would have been highlighted by the media.
        Here’s the facts:
Pascal suggested Aniston to someone at Happy Madison for Pixels. They responded positively “very cool, love her”, but said she would cost more.
Later reports that Aniston is interested and would take half the upfront fee, based on a deal Sandler and someone else had.
Later there is discussion of Cameron Diaz, and debate over who would bring more box office results, consensus is Cameron but not by a lot.
There’s also a lot of discussion of Tom Cruise as the president (LOL). Smartly none of them ended up in the film, which is a critical flop and underperforming.
Everything else is emails about scheduling and box office projections for Pixels, media and newsletter links about Cake, and a few mentions of her Smartwater endorsement as an example for someone pitching something called Core Water.
If there are other emails with Pascal insulting Aniston or others saying they don’t want her, please post the link.
Also, reducing the upfront fee is usually done in exchange for points on the back end, not a straight salary reduction.

    • Artemis says:

Does the world know that it was Maddox’ birthday? I haven’t seen any gossip reports on it. Which makes sense’s because he’s not a celeb so who cares? It’s so creepy that fans think everybody cares or should care about the JPs and their kids. Sheesh.

      • roses says:

I don’t have a dog in this fight but there were a few sights that mentioned his b-day that’s why I thought Michael K from Dlisted would mention the date too but honestly the triangle nonsense needs to end. All these people have moved on it seems.

      • Peggy says:

Not the World but Jennifer, did she not name Brad’s kids in an interview, and her yoga teacher was following Shiloh on a fan site, please.

      • Artemis says:

        @roses
I don’t visit those sites and it didn’t pop up on my usual sites. The BTS trailer was big news though as it was released a mere few hours after the wedding news + gossip reports did mention the Triangle this time. But no word on the kid’s birthday.

I know there’s a kid section on People or Us Magazine but I don’t visit those sections either as I tend to find celeb kids’ news a bit too intrusive.

        @peggy
I don’t know, clearly you do so good for you I suppose. You can link everything that way.

      • lola says:

Not only Mandy Ingber, but some of Aniston’s other closest friends were commenting on the “Shiloh” twitter page. And the comments were not nice. Who has their best friends following their ex’s baby girl’s fake twitter account, while having another good friend bashing the child’s Mother, calling her a “c**t”, and every other nasty name, all without ever even meeting the woman. Handler was only the mouthpiece for Aniston, saying what Aniston wanted publicly said about Angelina, but was to much of a coward to say it herself.

  11. someone says:

I’m not a Jennifer Aniston fan but kudos to her for getting the money. I predict she and Justin will be focusing on kids now that they are married – either through IVF or by adopting. I wish them well on that.

    • KellyBee says:

Why must they have kids? And what does them now being married have to do with anything?

Kids, you jest, surely. Do you even know how long a woman is fertile. Her fertile days passed her by almost a decade ago. If she wanted kids, she would have had them before now, she may think she looks 22, but her body is almost 47.

PR spin for Emirates, they are not the biggest carrier by any criteria, not by revenue, passengers, freight, fleet, destinations.

    • Carmen says:

I googled it. The three biggest airlines overall are Delta, Southwest and China Southern. The biggest international carriers are Ryanair and Lufthansa. Emirates is down at #4 with half as many passengers as Ryanair.

    • Peggy says:

They know the Carrier is not going to call BS on their story, her contract with Aveeno ends this year, if she drops the price maybe they’ll keep, false advertising, hair and skin.
Hair like straw and skin like old leather.

  13. Itsnotthatserious says:

Well her publicist is on the honeymoon with them, I wonder if it’s to tell them when to pose and smile

    • Brodie says:

Oh I’m SURE that’s it. We’ve seen SO many pap shots of the wedding and honeymoon so far.

      • Jessica says:

Expect a People magazine wedding cover.

      • lola says:

Believe me, they will drag this “surprise” wedding, that was announced within hours and had paps stationed at her house, as long as they can. She needs publicity, this gives her a month’s worth, if her PR guy can keep anyone interested. It also takes away some of the sting about her last film that’s coming out on VOD in a few days.

      • Thea says:

        Yeah she is so private.

The paps jus happened to get a picture of a priest carrying a bible walking into her house, just happens to get a picture of a cake with a bride and a groom decoration, just happened to get an air view picture of a celebrations (never mind her area is a gated area and cannot be assessed without permission, just happened to get a picture of them boarding a plane, just happened to find out they are going to a specific destination and just happened to take pictures of them while they were on a boat.

Yeah all of these are just coincidences, right Brodie????

  14. Catelina says:

Oh and also just wanted to add that I’m glad Handler wasnt really on the honeymoon. that sounds like a complete drag.

  15. Carmen says:

That’s about $5 million more than she can score at the box office any more. She might as well stick to being a product spokesman because she’s washed up as an actress.

  16. Jay (the Canadian one) says:

I know it’s terrible of me but I couldn’t help but be reminded of this article when it came to weird sponsorship/business deals between female celebrities and Dubai: http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2015/02/todays-blind-items-the-celebrity-sex-broker-part-one.html

  17. captain says:

I adore her, so great news and wedding/honeymoon spending money ))) i can’t even imagine making 1 million in my whole life!
P.s. Why do you always get such ugly photos of her, is it personal?

    • Anna says:

Um, she is not exactly drop-dead gorgeous?

    • TB says:

I don’t understand why this site seems to go negative on her all the time. I don’t think I’ve read a positive story on her on this site ever. I think she is very beautiful and very talented.

  18. Amelie says:

Deleted. N/m. I see many others said the same as I.

  19. me says:

Jen was on Jimmy Kimmel not too long ago where she admitted she had a horrible fear of flying. She said there are many places she wants to visit in the world but is too afraid to fly and only flies when her job requires. This is usually why she travels to Mexico for vacations as it is so close to LA. I was shocked when I heard she went to Bora Bora for her honeymoon as that is over an 8 hour flight from LA. Maybe she’s gotten some help to get over her fear? I don’t know but I do find it odd she got a deal with an airline considering she doesn’t like to fly.

    • Esmom says:

Do you really think that all celebs swear by the every product they endorse? This isn’t the Brady Bunch, who felt they had to turn down the laundry detergent deal they got because they realized they liked the other brand better.

Plus, this is more about overall branding and how Aniston’s image fits with the image they want to convey. Her personal feelings about flying really are not relevant here.

      • word says:

I think they are relevant as we are much smarter consumers than past generations. Of course there are a lot of celebs that endorse sh*t they don’t even use (Hello Kardashians) but Jen has always made it seem that she wouldn’t endorse anything she doesn’t believe in or use. Either she’s gotten over her fear of flying or she’s decided to be like the rest of the celebs out there.

      • me says:

Yeah I know a lot of celebs can’t be trusted when it comes to endorsements but I’m pretty sure I remember Jen swearing she only endorses things she uses, so that’s why I made my comment.

  20. heresthething says:

Jennifer endorses the affordable, drug store skincare brand, Aveeno, yet visits skin clinics costing several hundred dollars an appointment.

Jennifer endorses Smart Water, yet has spoken about the environment and how everyone should only take three minute showers – while she has a lush lawn.

Jennifer endorses hair care products, while wearing hair extentions.

Jennifer endorses an airline although she has publicly shared she is afraid to fly.

I wouldn’t even be surprised if Hadid who has one of those dreaded mega mansions she hates is not part of this deal somehow.

Jennifer or Huvane maybe? sure does have hustle. I will agree with that. She seems to be able to convince consumers to do as she says rather than what she actually does.

  21. iheartgossip says:

She sure has a good manager. Now we’ll find out the ‘wedding’ was an elaborate advert for the airline? Along with a big middle finger to the paps??
