There’s some trouble in Sparkly Paradise. I think. Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs allegedly got engaged back in April, after dating for about seven to eight months. It seemed like Twigs and Sparkles were obviously loved up and ready to take the next step, although neither of them officially confirmed it to any publication. Still, People Magazine ran several stories about their wedding plans and how they were probably going to do a simple, fast wedding this summer. And then… nothing. We really haven’t heard much about their relationship for a few months, save Twigs’ words with the Sunday Times last weekend, where she basically didn’t want to talk about Sparkles at all. Now this happened:
Wedding bells won’t be ringing anytime soon for Robert Pattinson and FKA twigs. A source close to the couple’s circle tells PEOPLE that the couple’s wedding plans have been pushed back “until autumn at the earliest” because the bride-to-be “can’t decide what [kind of] wedding she’d like to have.”
“She talks about it keeping as real and low-key and then wants an elaborate glamorous Baroque affair,” the source says. “She was even talking at one stage about having a masked ball.”
Pattinson and twigs (née Tahliah Barnett) got engaged earlier this year after dating for six months. Now with more time until the big day, the couple has scrapped their plans of a pub wedding and are planning on having a larger celebration.
“It will now be bigger but how big, nobody’s quite sure at this moment in time,” the source reveals. “There’s no fixed [wedding] date but will probably be late in the year.”
Some believe that a postponed wedding for these two people can only mean one thing: the love haze has dissipated a bit and now they’re sort of wondering if they should even go through with it. I just read a prediction at CDAN that Twigs and Sparkles will be over by the end of the year. Maybe. But with the way People Mag reports it… it does feel like Twigs wants to put more thought into wedding-planning and Sparkles is fine with it. Who knows?

I was excited to see how HKN would spin the actual wedding into some elaborate conspiracy theory where she would “prove” every image was photoshopped and that Twigs actually married some body double as a diversion for Rob and Kristen to conceive and birth triplets in an unreasonable time span. I’m less excited to hear her gloat over how this “proves” twigs and sparkles were never a couple.
I had no idea Twihards were still a thing until somebody here posted a link to a blog and holy cow. Scary stuff, man.

I think they’ve said that about a lot of stars and it hasn’t stuck yet. I think that site is mostly fake BS now anyway. i used to be a regular reader but no more.
CDAN also tweets with/to a lot of the crazy twig haters. Those people send stories to CDAN and then gloat on Twitter when it’s published as blinds. It’s all lies and madness.

I would guess that’s because they haven’t set a date. Stupid rags made up the summer wedding thing, probably hoping that it wouldn’t actually happen so that they could proclaim Rob and Tahliah were having problems or some cr@p like that. It makes me sad (and disgusted) that people actually believe this stuff.
If they slow down, good for them. It’s not a bad thing, what’s the rush? I’ve seen couples rush through engagement and marriage only to divorce a couple of years later, and it’s always a measy divorce too, so good! Take your time. You got engaged during the love haze and both have very busy lives. If they feel like they want to wait a little bit, I don’t think it’s a sign of anything bad; it’s a sign of maturity.
I couldn’t agree more with you, Annie! Why does everyone assume a long engagement means trouble in paradise? Both parties here are under 30, and given that they got engaged quickly, I think it’s a good that they’re postponing their wedding a bit.

T-Pain never said more than engaged. Anyone reading twigs interviews knows she’s got no interest in letting any of her private life news leak again or get out to friends or anyone. So People lied in April with that dumb story and now ofc they need to keep their lie going with this postponement bc it never happened. Also confirmation that People lied? – does twigs look like a girl who wants a pub wedding lmao. Twigs and Rob were just pictured together all last week before he left for Lost City of Z set and she’s in Sweden at a concert. People may want to check actual facts first. Pattinson was scheduled to be filming from summer til next spring – twigs toured all spring/summer and recorded her follow up that she’s got to promote all fall. People story never made sense and turned into Star Magazine.

The summer wedding idea was completely random, she has been busy touring, and now he has films lined up through early next year. What happened to People Magazine? They used to be reliable, but now they are getting more and more tabloid-y. Based on the ring, they are definitely engaged, and we know they are still together since they were spotted all over London as recently as last week. But we really have no idea when they actually plan to get married. Maybe over the holidays when there will be a break in filming and touring, and their friends/family would be more likely to be available….
The nose ring… I can’t. Or whatever it’s called in fancy piercing language.

Does Robert call her “Twigs” when he refers to her or does he use her real first name? I’ve always wondered how that works with stage names. In most cases you can get away with a pet name like “honey” but there are always situations where you have use your spouses real name and I wonder how they handle it. Like if you were married to Sting – would you call him Sting or Gordon?
From what I’ve seen on IG from Rihanna’s close friends and family, they all call her Robyn or Robs, so I’m guessing it would be something similar.
Considering there never was a confirmed date given i doubt any of this story is true. One look at their schedules tells you nothings been postponed – she had concert dates and MIIF all last month and he started LCOZ this month – who schedules a wedding in the middle of that? Basically People’s spring-boarding off of the “who told you I was getting married” comment from Sunday London Times interview to get clicks.
I saw them in London on their bikes this weekend. I think they are very much together.

I profess I find him very attractive yet quite cunning. However, I find he never confirms his rumored romances! The twilight era dating KS was never confirmed by either of them, I mean never! It was just a great calculated publicity stunt to sell the movies, which worked, I suppose.
Now, he is reported to dating Twigs; nobody had ever heard of her before this rumored relation. I truly believe this is another brilliant and calculating PR stunt, which suits both of them very well. She gets her name all over the media, and he stays relevant while neither one will publicly confirm. Their pictures together shows no level of intimacy. IMHO, this contractual romance will end soon enough when both of them reap the benefits of it.
