Last week, Lamar Odom allegedly verbally and physically accosted his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian outside of a SoulCycle in LA. Her version – and an eyewitness version – is that Lamar seemingly came out of nowhere and began yelling/screaming at Khloe. Khloe got upset and tried to walk away from Lamar as he continued to rant at her and another woman who asked Khloe if she should call the cops. Khloe then got in her car and drove away. “Sources” told People, Us Weekly and E! that Khloe was really freaked out about the incident and that she was investing in a bodyguard. She then proceeded to get out of LA with her boyfriend, James Harden, then she went on vacation with her family in St. Bart’s.
Lamar’s side of the story was that Khloe invited him to meet her there, that he was being set up by Kardashians and the media and it was all some big conspiracy to keep him away from his “wife.” Many of you believe that, just as many of you believed that Kris Humphries was going to be able to prove “fraud” while divorcing Kim. That never happened, and there really isn’t some huge conspiracy against Lamar. He’s just a man with real issues. He gave an interview to In Touch Weekly and it’s just sad:
During a lengthy, emotional and often-incoherent interview with In Touch magazine just one day after the SoulCycle incident, Lamar Odom insists he didn’t assault or “ambush” his ex Khloé Kardashian outside SoulCycle and claims it was a big misunderstanding between him and his “wife.”
“We spoke [beforehand],” Lamar explains to In Touch magazine at Shutters on the Beach hotel bar in Santa Monica. Continuously referring to Khloé as his “wife,” he tells In Touch, “A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public. It’s hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife.”
“She’s [my] soul mate,” Lamar told the mag in his rambling interview. “I can’t control it. We’ll never part. I would never consider myself serious with another woman. To sum it up, if a man is attempting to court Khloé, he’s probably wasting his time.”
Lamar also said that seeing Khloé with other men “is weird. And the weirdest part about it is because I really know how she feels about me.”
In Touch caught up with the former NBA player again one day later, but the interview was cut short when Lamar had to go lie down in a car.
I think we should be taking this seriously and I believe that Khloe is correct to be taking this seriously as well. Lamar has issues. He’s still obsessed with her. He’s still calling her his wife and behaving as if he gets a say in how she lives her life. And no, I don’t believe she called him and told him to meet her outside SoulCycle. I think she probably called him to tell him she was changing her phone number and that he needed to stop bothering her, that their marriage is over and she’s done. And that’s what set off this chain of events.

Lamar needs to walk away and get his life in order. The marriage is over. Saying things like that is scary and that is not love, that is obsessive behaviour.

INAN, that was my exact thinking. If my ex or soon-to-ex was saying that kind of thing about me to anyone, and I had Kartrashian money, I’d be securing my house like Ft. Knox and hiring multiple armed bodyguards.

It is VERY scary. While I still think it’s possible the Kardashians set him up, that doesn’t make him any less obsessive and dangerous. He really needs to get clean and get some help.
I think it was COMPLETELY set up. Nothing is too low for that family. They had another staged interaction outside a club when Khloe was with French Montana. I guess this is Khloe’s only story line. What the heck took her 2+yrs to finalize her divorce? Did she have to have a big catch before she could bear to dump Lamar for good?
Whether it was a set up or not, his interview suggests that he really is becoming more and more obsessive.
And, regarding the French Montana at the club incident…maybe that was also not staged. Maybe we are seeing a very scary pattern from a man who is extremely unbalanced.
I really doubt it was set up..it was very early, she was going to gym minus usual ten pounds of makeup, and there were no E cameras around..he sounds obsessive..but he had problems long before he met her. Maybe he wants back on the show–has a history of, umm, expensive habits and hanger-ons he needs to finance
It wasn’t the Kardashians that set him up, but Khole dating James Harden, the Big – Time, Popular Basketball player. James is a better player and receives more props than Lamar ever did. He’s pissed that she’s dating him and trying to make it seems like their still together to f*** with Jame’s mind. That’s what that is all about. WTF, he has to go lie down in a car. Lie down in a car???Go home and lay down.
Except Khloe was saying the same kinds of things in a recent interview. She has said she still loves him and wishes they were together, that they are soul mates and that they talk frequently. He hasn’t been in the same city for a while, so he’s not camped on her doorstep. I don’t think he’s meaning what he said as a threat, but he may very well be right that it’s a waste of time for a man to court Khloe right now because she’s not really over Lamar. She seems to choose men not interested in long-term relationships, maybe that’s why.
He seems very hurt by the current incident, we’ll have to see what the K Krew does with it on their show, how they try to spin it or whether they ignore it. They’ve done fakey phone calls before, with Lamar as the unseen target. Did Khloe ever get a restraining order or even file a police report? She may have already planned to leave town, it sounds like something scheduled before Lamar arrived.
She also would post all sorts of “forever love” sayings obviously wanting people to read into them.
Yeah, maybe she should stop talking about him. I think her latest oversharing instigated him because before that he wasn’t bothering her, was he?
No matter what he says or does, there will still be people who want to believe he’s in the right so that the Kardashians can be the evil temptresses who set him up. While I completely understand where that line of thinking comes from with this particular family, no one deserves to be harassed. I’m sorry, but the fact that he has to call her “his wife” every other sentence points to some troubled and obsessive thinking. This man is clearly dangerous, and I don’t think we should let any Kardashian blinders keep us from wishing a fellow female the best in what’s probably a really scary time. I just feel like the more we question the legitimacy of the (alleged) victim rather than focusing on the dangerous guy who’s probably (allegedly) stalking her, the more bad energy we add to the situation.
WHY did she take over 2yrs to sign her divorce papers? I’d call that giving him mixed signals and stringing him along. Not to mention all the quotes she puts out insinuating their love is forever.
I’m pretty sure Khloe has been seeing Lamar on the down low and talking to him often. And IF that’s the case I would bet she is telling everyone one thing and she is telling him another. This messes with the most sane mind and if Lamar has issues that’s fueling the fire. I have seen this time and time again with people. I actually have a friend doing this exact thing now. Telling us how her ex is crazy and he worries her- he shows up at her job which she claims she had no idea he was coming (which come to find out is a lie) – yet she’s spending time with him and not admitting it to anyone and keeps the narrative oh he’s so awful. The things he says to us sound crazy like oh we are in love- but they sound crazy to us because we assume one thing ( he’s crazy and bothering her ) and she’s telling him something else!
The thing is I have found in many situations the truth lies somewhere in the middle . The point im trying to make is I would bet This situation is a lot more complicated than oh Lamar is a stalker and poor Khloe. There are so many scenarios that could be going on. There is also a reason they didn’t get divorced after all that time. None of us know what’s real with this family and what’s not. Regardless if Lamar is out of line Khloe needs to take the appropriate action and get protection.
He needs help. I hope he gets it but I’m not optimistic.
This irritates me. I know Lamar has issues, but Khloe stuck it out for years trying to make it work. All she wanted was for him to get help ~ go to counselling and rehab. And he couldn’t even try. She gave you a million chances and now you want to try to stop her from moving on? Come on, man, you wasted enough of her life with your nonsense. You had tons of chances and chose that you’d rather keep on living this life than try to work on it.
Radar is reporting that the Soul Cycle confrontation will air on KUWTK and be a part of Khloes storyline this season.
No doubt Lamar isnt stable…Khloe needs to stop talking about “how much she loves him and that they’re soul mates”….because he’s obviously got the mixed into his obsessive thinking. Very Scary.
I hope Khloe is well protected by the film crew/bodyguards she has with her.
Hopefully Lamar can finally let go and stay away from the entire family, he needs a return to health and happiness.

This is a sad situation, Khloe had a hard time with him and now, after she finally got the divorce, he’s still trying to stay in her life in the most awful way.
I think this is really sad. Say whatever about the Kardashians (I say it all too!) but I genuinely liked Khloe and Lamar together. Yes, guilty of watching their show!
Lamar needs help. Had he gotten that help earlier and quickly enough, I believe he and Khloe would still be married. She has made it no secret she wishes she was still married to Lamar, or rather the Lamar she knew.
I do think his behaviour is escalating now that the divorce is final (or is it? I heard it was signed but not sealed & delivered) and she is dating James Harden. He needs help.

If it were set up by the K’s, the camera angle and clarity would have been decent. He had to cut the interview off to lie down in a car??? Is he living in the aforementioned car?

This is why, to me, this whole thing sounds like a setup for their stupid show. I’ve never seen it, but from other comments it appears every character has his/her own “story line” each season, and this will be Khloe’s. They have often been accused of having every pap and gossip rag on the payroll to work in their favor, and it looks like this is exactly the case with In Touch Weekly, where they’re not even trying to pretend to present an unbiased account of the interview: “lengthy, emotional and often-incoherent,” and “his rambling interview,” as well as the part about lying down in the car is painting a picture of someone that they should’ve let his words alone paint. They’re setting him up to be unstable, delusional (however true that may be, but where’s the impartiality here?) so that the Trash Klan can have a bit more ammo on their side when the TV show airs.
That’s what struck me too. Dude sounds like he was high or in the midst of a mental breakdown.
I hope everyone in her camp is paying attention. Words like that scream to me, if I can’t have her, nobody can. She has to let him know there is no chance of reconciliation. She skirts around the issue and it wasn’t that long ago she proclaimed if she had her way she’d still be with her lambie. Be careful what you wish for Khloe.
i think it was definitely a set up for storyline I don’t think Khloe thought he would act like that. I think was going for a love triangle storyline but this is clearly turned into something she should seriously worry about. Lamar is more unstable then ever before he’s still dealing with his drug addiction and on top of that he just lost his best friend.
Good theory. Maybe a combo of really still loving him and keeping him on hook for a storyline.
I would be terrified, if I was Khloe! Drugs and mental illlness can be a deadly combination. I hope Lamar has some family who can step in, and try to get him some help…
While the Soul Cycle thing might have been a set up, Lamar clearly has serious issues. I hope he’s able to get help.
Yes, I don’t think it has to be one or the other. He definitely has issues, and he certainly still could’ve been set up. I doubt it was Khloe herself, but that mother of hers would do anything to create drama and keep their dumb show going. Or a producer could have too.

There are quite a few things in this article that make it seem very likely that this is a scary situation and Khloe has reason to be afraid. That being said, maybe I’m just cynical, but I still believe it’s likely that she set him up. It does not add up that she went from professing her great love for him and stating essentially the same sh-t Lamar said in this interview and then suddenly it turned into “she changed her number and wants nothing to do with him.” She’s entitled to do whatever she wants of course and I wish her no harm whatsoever, but this is a really weird situation. I’m not saying he’s not mentally unwell or that this interview wasn’t creepy, but perhaps the fact that she has been talking endlessly about still being in love with him and him being the one has exacerbated this problem. I’m reserving my judgment against Lamar or this situation because I wonder if he would feel so comfortable to say things like this if she wasn’t running around actually saying that he’s the one and she would still be married to him if she had her way.

Look whatever you think of the Kardashian’s, this man is clearly obsessed and highly unstable. Whether Khloe was courting media attention with this or not, it’s clearly gone beyond anything she can control. He needs a lot of help, and she needs a stronger restraining order and 24/7 security.
I think Lamar is hard up for money, and if he is as strung out on heroin as his best friend was, he is not going to do anything to Khloe. Obviously, the drugs are his first priority and what else will anybody give him a paid interview for besides Khloe. The fact he halted interview to go lie down shows he is not as obsessed as people think. Its all a storyline maybe that he is getting well paid for. They will try and do the same thing with Scott. Use them up on KUWK and toss them aside.
I fully believe she spoke to him beforehand because in recent interviews she states she still loves him blah blah and you don’t say that about a man you’re afraid of. However, Lamar needs to remember what happens to the ex-husbands of those Kraptacular women and get the hell out. Nothing they ever had together will survive their PR machine. It’s ovah-move on.

What he’s saying is scary and it sounds like she needs a restraining order in place. However,I still have a few questions about kardashian behaviour in all of this. If this wasn’t a set up why where the paparazzi there to document the whole thing? Seems too convenient.
And, weren’t people saying she was saying the same thing in interviews only a few months ago. I think Lamar brain has been fried. Booze and drugs making him delusional. He needed intervention ASAP or he will be another drugs overdose statistic.

If they feature the scary encounter then I do think it was set up or why would the cameras be there, outside andwhy didn’t camera crew, producers on scene call the police.
To everyone who keeps saying “Khloe is going around talking about how she still loves him, so this has to be a set up” have obviously never been in a relationship that ended only because of addiction problems. Their marriage didn’t end because they hated each other or fell out of love or whatever, it ended because Lamar has major problems. Sometimes the non addict leaves, thinking that will be enough reason for their SO to finally get help. I personally believe Khloe was hoping the separation would make Lamar get clean. & I think this interview proves he is stilI using. I don’t think she intended to string him along, I think she loved him & she finally realized he wasn’t going to change, not even to get her back. She should be careful now, the language he is using here is alarming.
Very well stated and that’s what I think as well. IMHO, she’s saying “I still love him, wish I could be with him, but… doesn’t allow for that”. I still think she should stop saying those things now because it’s probably giving him ideas that he has a chance to be with her, but he’s (seemingly) not taking care of his own problems. All of this sounds very scary, indeed.
I concur that this is troubling. Considering how easy it is to get a gun in America, I think Khloe is in real danger. The fact that the Kardashians have created a “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” perception of them only puts her in more danger. Many reasonably minded people can and do assume that there is no danger and this is just a publicity stunt because the Kardashians’ “reality show” is all a bunch of fakery and manipulation of the audience for money (in the form of ratings’ advertising dollars). Sadly, Khloe’s cries for help will be doubted. If Lamar were, God forbid it, to harm or kill her, I would expect to hear a chorus of “she brought it on herself” or “it’s her family’s fault” for using the paparazzi to stage drama for their show. I hope she does hire a bodyguard, and not just eye candy to hold her little dog (side eye, JLaw).

I wondered the same. I picture a rambling, sweaty guy suddenly interrupting the journalist with, “I’m going to go lie down in my car now,” and abruptly leaving. The writer reports those facts without comment and we can draw our own conclusions because it’s simply bizarre behavior.
BUT they will use this for the show. They are vultures. When he was falling apart during the marriage, they used it for the show and ratings.
Those women are so unattractive to me. And he sounds scary!
If they know he is a junkie and Khloe really cares about his well-being, stop filming him. For someone who cares about his sobriety, she sure has no problem airing his desperation on television. This is why this family is so very sickening.

While I too think it was quite a scary situation, and having been myself victim of domestic violence, I really don’t celebrate the fact that Kloe or anyone for that matter was on that situation [a situation I truly believe she prepared herself].
While seeing the picture of that huge man going on her direction and how scared she looked (and let’s agree, the Kartrashians are really, really bad actors), although she’s not a little delicate thing herself, I could only think he could cause real harm to her. That was a train crash I was really closing my eyes not to witness.
Still…. it’s a Kartrashian we’re talking about, and I totally believe she set him up. It backfired. The result ended up being such a scary situation that put her in harms way and wraped him up in the role of an abuser… but, for all I’ve seen coming from this family (and I can proudly say I never watched their show, just saw clips here and there and eventually gave in and starting to read the gossip on them), I really have minimum doubt she set him up.
