Is anyone else sort of pleasantly surprised with the way Jennifer Aniston handled not only her wedding, but all of the post-wedding press? Like, if this was five years ago, she would have gotten five advanced People Magazine covers devoted to her wedding and baby plans and she would have definitely given People Mag some kind of exclusive post-wedding. Instead, all we got was a simple acknowledgement that she got married, some blurry photos from a helicopter and a lot of second-hand information from people who may or may not have been there. After all this time, Jennifer finally has learned how to keep some stuff private. That is, until Terry Richardson drops ten million wedding photos on us tomorrow, I suppose (that’s just a theory!).
Which isn’t to say that she’s totally avoiding the press. Of course she knew that immediately upon her return from Bora Bora, she would be doing press for She’s Funny That Way. And she maximized the moment by debuting her wedding band along with a dark honeymoon tan (I covered Aniston’s premiere appearance earlier). When asked about her wedding on the red carpet, Aniston told ET: “I’m not telling you about any of that stuff! We had the beautiful luxury of having a beautiful, private moment. And I’m going to be selfish and keep it that way.” How many times will she say “beautiful” before this is over?
Aniston also appeared on this morning’s Good Morning America. Again, she didn’t say much about the wedding, and yet it’s still news. When the guy offers his congrats, Aniston said “thank you so much” and when asked how she kept the wedding a secret, she said: “Where there is a will, there is a way.”

So are we really not going to get anything else about the wedding? Will Terry Richardson never release the photos? Will they save the bigger wedding quotes for when Justin is promoting The Leftovers’ Season 2?

Just because you’re a celebrity doesn’t mean every single second is up for the public. Everyone has the right to privacy and you’re wedding is one of those things where you do have control over and it can go down the way you want it to. Good for them.

Why is this being called a “secret” wedding when they have the paparazzi the heads up? Granted this was not George Clooney style Kardashian style wedding ( O George who you disappointed me) but it was a private one also.

We never saw pics from her first wedding with Brad Pitt either….except one I think? I would simply like to see her in her wedding dress (and even from her first wedding as well). I am always a sucker for pictures of a beautiful bride 😉
They released one b/w photo and that was it. I don’t think she’s going to share this wedding either and good for her.
I was going to comment the same thing. Going by her previous wedding I doubt we will get more than one or two photos, if any at all.

Do people know what words mean?
You can’t say, “she NEVER shared pics of her first wedding,” when she DID EXACTLY THAT (and the pic went around the world, 10x because the TV lady had nabbed “Brad Pitt.”)
Or say… something else that’s a big fat contradiction like: “They released one photo, I don’t think she’s going to share this wedding either.”
Uh HELLO? Releasing a photo from her first wedding IS sharing the first wedding!

She didn’t pimp out her first wedding either – just released one black and white shot of them together. So maybe she doesn’t want to do the full spread like some do.

Some would say releasing ANY photos be it one shot or five, is ‘pimping it.’ Its kind of ridiculous to say, ‘oh but it was just the one great shot of beautiful Brad Pitt (and her face obscured by hair…SMART, LOL) that went around the world and was published in most major and minor media outlets.’
Bottomline, her 1st wedding, her dress, her matching highlights, etc. were seen and talked about all over. So let’s cut the BS.
Also, yea..Clooney got hitched in Venice (?) and employed boats to get his high profile guests, but its not like he had a camera crew filming the ceremony. It’s not unlike Aniston’s wedding cake, preacher, garden set up, etc getting snapped and the PR leaked comments from her camp and her guests going out over the airwaves.
The difference BTW Aniston and those people you named is that no one saw anything from their wedding. Aniston put out a pic from her first wedding.

I’ll believe it when the Leftovers premieres in October and there still isn’t an exclusive cover or spread. Not saying there’s anything wrong with using personal photos for publicity reasons… just that I’ll be surprised if they don’t try to bank on it in some way.
I don’t believe you can call her wedding private/secret, when it was found out less than 24 hours after it occurred and then ALL of the details were leaked by Jennifer/Justin’s people. And then they had their own personal pap for their honeymoon. We had pics of them boarding the plane to go, had pics of them ON their honeymoon (with other people). The only thing that bugs me is that I think it’s very innocuous to get a PEOPLE cover about your wedding, talking about “exclusive” pics…..when it’s only pics of your backyard that people saw a week before. Like seriously? Either show pics or not, but don’t act like you’re all secretive and private when you’re not. Either you want to share or you don’t.
Agreed I mean they made sure the priest was seen going into the house, and the wedding cake both of which they could have avoided if they wanted to. Clearly it wasn’t that secret or private.

I think she was playing it low key (as opposed to her initial People Wedding cover, that she and Huvane orchestrated back in 2012…how quickly they forget!!)
It was lowkey for the following reasons:
1) she and dude barely live together and everyone knows it
2) they didn’t have either of her parents there-no family. WEIRD, and she knows it.
3) none of the ‘so-called close’ guy cast members from ‘friends,’
and 4) she was way light on the high profile names.
Star studded it was not.
Initial reports were Handler, the Blunt-Krasinski’s (therouxs friends) and Howard Stern (again, therouxs friend) pervy Richardson (theroux) and Kimmel (theroux) – I mean, that’s just EMBARASSING.
I certainly understand the low key nature.
That said she’ll still be dropping a pervy Richardson wedding pic or two probably late this fall…they’ll give him permission to feature it in an exhibition of his j*ssm creepy almost jailbait pics. Theroux will do his man a solid.
