Snooki denies that her husband Jionni LaValle had an Ashley Madison account

snooki IG

Yesterday evening, Snooki finally responded to the reports about her husband, Jionni LaValle, and his Ashley Madison account. The reports of Jionni’s AM account started circulating late Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon, it was one of the top stories on most gossip sites. What made it worse, perhaps, was that Snooki has a podcast and she had JUST criticized Anna Duggar for staying with Josh Duggar. Anyway, Snooki posted the above image (from her wedding) on her Instagram and left this message (I made some minor edits to the text to make it more readable):

This morning when I got a call from my publicist that a story was going to be printed on my husband “allegedly” signing up on Ashley Madison, I laughed- and said lets not even comment and give the story any juice, because it couldn’t be any further from the truth.

But now seeing how it’s the “news of the day” and everyone is wondering what I think about it- here it is. Jionni is the most humble, respectful, and most loyal souls I know. I mean hello, that’s why I married him. He’s a stand up guy who loves his family more than anything in this world.

The fact that the tabloids can deliberately make stories up and print things like “Jionni LaValle ALLEGEDLY and MAY HAVE signed up on Ashley Madison” is absurd. I can see if there is proof in the story to make it legitimate, but to accuse my husband of something he had no idea about… HOW IS THAT LEGAL? I really didn’t even want to acknowledge this absurd story, but when my family is being bashed for no reason- mama bear is gonna say what’s up.

So no, my husband didn’t sign up on that website to cheat on me. Honestly, if he wanted to cheat- he would go out and do it. Not sign up on a website and pay for it. Jionni is a good guy and doesn’t need his name being tarnished. Nor does our family. We did nothing wrong to deserve this. So with all of this said, I love you babe. And even though I’m a pain in your ass, I know you would never cheat on me. Especially on a lame ass website. @jlavalle5 💕 #myfamilyrocks

I went back to some of the original reporting on this and the reason media outlets were going with “Snooki’s husband was on Ashley Madison” is because there was an account with Jionni’s email. Granted, it could have been a prank or something like that. Who knows? But it does feel like Snooki might need to talk to her husband a little bit.

I’m kind of torn on this. While on one hand I have no problem believing her hubby is a sleaze, a lot of people on Gawker were saying that it’s apparently very easy to sign up and you only need an email for the initial part. Wouldn’t they have found multiple charges or interactions like they did with some of the other men? Plus, her husband doesn’t strike me as the type to slink around on Ashley Madison…like he’d just cheat with some random at a bar, rather than sign up online, if he was cheating.

    • j. says:

Yeah, to me, it’s the charges that are the damning evidence, not just having an account. I’ve signed up for so many stupid sites just to see past the landing screen.

    • Ronda says:

actually from what i read you didnt even need to confirm your email, lots of emails were abc at abc dot com. that came to light because people started to look which media outlet had the most emails singed up (Fox News only had 10).

so to really know it you would have to look at paid accounts.

    • claire says:

From what I’ve read, an email account isn’t proof. Lots of bots / spam accounts stole people’s email addresses. The proof is in whether the account associated with the email entered a credit card, answered the security question, made payments and so forth. There’s quite possibly people getting accused who never signed up. Or, there are people who signed up before the last few years when it was a regular dating site, not solely marketed to cheat, etc.

  2. Shambles says:

Of course she’s going to deny it. That’s the most comfortable thing to do. My gut tells me it’s true (that Jionni had an AM account), so I feel bad for her. I wouldn’t want to admit it to myself either, much less the world.

  3. Nancy says:

BS. She had just said the day before how stupid Anna was for not leaving Josh. Go take a dive in that De Nile river to wash the egg off of your face Snooks.

    • Josefa says:

Josh Duggar is a known child molester. Jionni’s email showed up in the AM hack list. There’s about 5 and a half universes of difference between the two.

      • Nancy says:

I wasn’t talking about the character of lack thereof of either of these creeps. I was referring to her total meltdown on Anna Duggar 24 hours prior and how she should leave him and now her husband’s name appears and it’s a different story…all lies. Ironic how nothing applies to you until it happens to you.

  4. Samtha says:

    The first stage is denial…

I feel bad for her. It’s got to be hard to get blindsided like that.

    • Nancy says:

I feel no sympathy for her whatsoever. She went on a little rampage on her webcast castigating Anna and what a fool she is, and then boom when it’s her, it can’t be true. It’s much easier being in on the joke as opposed to being the joke.

No one wants to believe their man is cheating

  6. Luca76 says:

According to the news a lot of people could have a spam account on AM if their email was ever compromised. There were thousands of accounts made from hacked emails that were basically spamming Ashley Madison users (ever have a Facebook friend who’s account got hacked and is all of the sudden sending you spam?) .The standard for the press was looking at paid accounts with accurate address and cc info if he doesn’t have a paid account no way of knowing it was him.

All that being said I saw her in Atlantic City a few years back after she had ‘turned over a new leaf’. Honestly she was so obnoxious and rude and I think she’s an awful person.

    • Ava-L says:

I’m not sure about this, but if AM is a service that requires a paid subscription, wouldn’t you have to pay to set up an account? It’s not as if someone could (or could they??) just use your e-mail address to sign you up. I read somewhere else that Joe Biden’s son allegedly had an account which he claims was set up by “America’s enemies, probably Russia”.

      • Luca76 says:

There are different levels a paid account apparently gives you more access to the site. They don’t verify email addresses so anyone can give a fake email (though ip addresses are harder-not impossible- to fake).

  7. Yeses says:

Deny Deny Deny, that will make it go away…

P.S. Granted we are no celebrities but one of my husband’s customers at work got caught in the Ashley Madison fiasco and his wife just filed for divorce, when they release hacked information, it’s not just email, its IP address and a lot more identifying info, he went to a forensic online crisis management place to wipe his stuff off but wifey found out before they could.

    • lucy2 says:

Interesting – I’ll be curious to see if more than just an email address is linking this Jionni guy too.
I’m sure she was caught off guard and in denial, but probably shouldn’t be so quick to brush it aside.

  8. Vera says:

Gets the media talking about her again. It’s been quiet in Snookiville lately.

  9. Little Darling says:

I don’t want to believe this, he seems so devoted and like he’s with snooki all of the time.

  10. OrigialTessa says:

I think linking an email that could possibly be his is really weak evidence. I can’t even come close to getting an email address using my real name, because as it turns out, other people have my name. Other people probably have his name too. And if it’s not a paid account, it’s really hard to prove.

  11. Incognito says:

I read something about how AM worked. You could use any email address to get past the first screen. They didn’t verify email addresses. However, to actually contact someone, you needed to be a paid member. So someone else could have used his email address. Or maybe he just was curious and wanted to see what it was. (I’ll admit I was curious what the profiles would look like but not curious enough to actually go look). Or maybe someone has a similar name and made up an address that was his or edited their address and it happened to be his. Who knows?

The difference between Snooki and Anna Duggar? Josh came out and admitted that he cheated on his wife. There was evidence that he was a paid member.

Should Snooki talk to her husband? Absolutely. Does this mean he cheated? Not necessarily. If he did, I feel bad for her. I feel bad for Anna Duggar too.

  12. QQ says:

Hardly would she be talking to him about this when they haven’t discuss a more crucial point: Those Brows On Him

  13. It just doesn’t make any sense that it wouldn’t be Jionni. First of all, no one has denied that that was in fact his email address on the Ashley Madison website. If that’s true and she’s trying to say that he would never do that, then one would have to believe that someone else used Jionni’s email address in order to cheat instead of their own because they had a crystal ball and knew that in the future there would be some massive hacking security breach that would expose who the cheaters were. Or, that they still had a crystal ball about the future hacking and wanted to make Jionni and therefore Nicole look bad so used his email address. Well no one knows or cares about some former reality star’s husband. He’s not a big name. So I’m going with he’s a cheater. Lastly, if Jionni didn’t do it and that was his email address, you’re telling me he never knew or questioned the emails he was getting from the Ashley Madison website?

  14. TOPgirl says:

Why am I not surprised. Snooki loves this douchey husband of hers so much that of course she would deny it to save face but perhaps behind closed doors..i’m sure lost of “discussions” are happening. I’m not surprised if the truth comes out that he did.

  15. Josefa says:

I wouldn’t be so harsh on her for trying to believe him.

    1) The site has been running since 2001. He might have created that account way before they even met.
    2) The list doesn’t distinguish between paid accounts and people who just wanted to get past the first screen. Someone might’ve used his email, or maybe it was him and he didn’t even do anything.

The internet’s a weird place. I once visited several mail-order bride sites just because I was curious about how those things worked. Doesnt mean I actually wanted one, but it is something weird to show up in your browsing history, right?

Let’s not be so quick to judge and please for the love of god lets not compare Jionni to Josh Duggar. Even if Jionni really did have an account and did cheat HE IS NOT A CHILD MOLESTER AND DUGGAR IS. WHY DO PEOPLE EVEN CARE ABOUT ASHLEY MADISON AFTER HE MOLESTED CHILDREN?!?!?!?!?!?!!
